I think I might put up some older art here, by which I'm referring to some reimaginations of Hisui's most disappointing shinies.

IIRC I have Garchomp, Togekiss, and Gengar. The Gengar is my favorite, the colors are inspired by John Egbert and his love for Ghostbusters.

First of all, thank you so much for sending this adorable ask omg hahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa it's literally perfect because I always write that Y/N is like, obsessed with Gengar 😂 so it wouldn't be surprising that she had something like this.

And secondly, I apologize for taking a while to come back to you! I tend to reply to asks in the order they come, or which one is easier for me to write at the moment, either way, I'm still grateful for your ask ❤️❤️❤️

Naoya absolutely hated getting you that Gengar.

He was all for it though, at first at least. Because to him, this represented nothing but an easy way to gain more of your affection, his mind envisioning something like this (let’s say he took you to a date to the fair):

“I win Y/N a plushie. It’s her favorite plushie. She’s happy I got her the plushie. She kisses me for winning her the plushie. She marries me because I got her the plushie. We have kids because I got her the plushie.”

A win-win situation, right?

Well, up to the kissing part it was—because as soon as you grab Gengar, it’s like Naoya completely disappeared from your life.

There’s not a single moment you’re not with it, whether keeping you company by the couch when watching a movie, in the backseat whenever driving to the city, waiting by the futon while you come out of a shower… or even dressing it up with silly hats and hair clips, because why not.

However, the worst part wouldn’t come from any of those things. No—as frustrating as they were, Naoya was still capable of tolerating them, to some degree at least.

The bane of his existence would appear the moment he realized that not even when laying next to you after a long day of work did that stupid Gengar leave you alone!

Breaking his heart when you’d cuddle the damn plushie instead of him.

That’s when Naoya really began to have issues with it.

It got so bad, that he even considered getting rid of it—have it magically disappear, imply that maybe one of the staff members accidentally threw it into the trash, or you forgot it somewhere, highly possible since you essentially take it everywhere you go!!

And Ranta, as always, would be the voice of reason, telling him that doing such a thing was nothing short of highly inappropriate, and if you get to know the truth, his relationship with you would be critically affected.

“So??? It’s not like she’s actually going to leave me if I do that, you know?!” Naoya would cry, genuinely believing his words… but Ranta’s worried face quickly made him reconsider. “…Right?”

Well, that’s something he doesn’t want to figure out.

Thus, proof of his devotion to you and commitment to the relationship, Naoya decides to handle things like adults and bring up the issues he’s been having with your precious Gengar to you.

Learning the innocent reason why you were so attached to it…

“—I always wanted one, since I was a child. But my parents said no, because I already had too many toys. And I never saw it again… until that day at the fair. It’s like I went back in time to being a kid.”

In other words, you were doing all the things you would’ve loved to do if your parents had gotten you the Gengar. Besides…

“You got this for me without even asking, how could I not cherish something so romantic?!”

Naoya naturally feels like absolute shit when you tell him the truth—internally scolding himself for even considering getting rid of it in the first place!!         

So, after giving you a thousand apologies in forms of kisses, Naoya, in true Naoya fashion decides to also make it up to you by gifting you even more plushies of the same character—different sizes, different models, it didn’t matter, he just wants you to have them all.

Leading you to put a stop to him, because it was straight up ridiculous at that point!

Either way, this happening would go down as a funny story you’d be more than happy to share with your children when the time comes, slightly embarrass him by showing off his highly protected softness, if he hadn’t demonstrated the same to them by then…

Or maybe set up that Gengar “shrine” you always wanted to do just to spite Gojo, show him which franchise is far superior through your devotion, and rub it in his face.

He’s no longer a competitor when it comes to overindulging anymore, and Naoya is more than happy to give you the upper hand.

I actually have a huge Gengar my cousin got for me last year in my birthday. was it worth it? yes. have people expressed their... consideration to steal it? yes. will I protect it with my life? I'm already training my cat to join me in this crusade. lmao

anyways, I hope you like this little snippet :> Naoya always has to take it to the extremes, but he's learning to be better, and it's safe to say that at one point, it's all well-intended 🤭

The video starts rather abruptly, thrusting us into the midst of an argument between Casi and Professor Ivy. Casi storms around the large entryway of the lab, Ivy standing still and firing back responses to whatever the researcher has shouted. Occasionally we get a glimpse of the area around them, dusty and cluttered with miscellaneous items that appear to be placed there arbitrarily, as if the lab is running out of space to hold all it contains. When the microphone is close enough to pick up the conversation we begin to hear what the cause of the argument is.

"Rose and Miairu aren't dangerous! You must know that by now! They've lived here for a decade and have never harmed anyone." His voice is hoarse. It's clear that this argument has been dragging on for some time. 

“Here I am able to rehabilitate them and prevent any damage that they may cause in the wrong hands.” Ivy remarks. “They would fare no better with Professor Amaryllis.” 

“Well they certainly aren’t improving in a place like this!” To emphasize his point, Casi kicks one of the trash bags that littered the space. The living quarters had already filled up with miscellaneous garbage after the storm, and now had begun bleeding into the entryway. “How would anyone get better here? It’s a dump!”

A strange trap door opens up near Casi’s feet and a trio of Ivy’s assistants peak out. “Could you quit stomping around up there? We’re trying to get some work done.” 

In response Casi lets out a growl of frustration and shoves her foot down onto the trap door, slamming it shut on top of them with a thunk. There's a muffled yelp from down below. 

“Professor Ginkgo you can’t start slamming doors on people!”  Ivy’s voice is cold but there's an undercurrent of anger that no guise of professionalism could possibly hide. “You expect me to believe that someone like you could do better when you can't even control your own outbursts? Do you genuinely believe that leaving two volatile pokemon in the hands of you two would be in anything but a disaster waiting to happen?”

“Casi-” The presence of Bellamy had almost entirely gone unnoticed until they spoke up, trying to get a word in between the two feuding professors and not making all that much headway. There is an energy in them that's hard to read, gripping and releasing the head of their cane and shifting their weight just slightly from heel to heel when not actively trying to put a hand on the pacing Casimir’s shoulder, to no avail. More than anything, though, they seem exhausted. The dark circles under their eyes and the heavy way they move betray the lack of sleep and overexertion they've been living with.

“They’re volatile because their needs aren’t met! Miairu isn’t causing trouble for no reason, she's a gengar, she’s sensory seeking! She’s bored!” Casi doesn’t even seem to notice Amy reaching out, turning on her heel and pacing the other direction. “And Rose isn’t playing with people’s emotions; she's struggling to maintain her own. If you put them in a proper environment and gave them the actual enrichment they need they’d get better instead of being stagnant for a decade!”

“And you believe that you are the ones to fill that need?” Ivy laughs, a dry, scoffing sound that practically radiates disdain. “Professor Amaryllis, the man that can’t even care for himself? And you, look at you. As volatile and unruly as either of those pokemon, you can not control your own emotional state and you intend on trying to control her? And what happens when Rose tampers with your emotions, pushes you past your already violent limits? Or when Miairu destroys expensive lab equipment and gets your employees hurt? No.”

The shorter man grits his teeth, taking intentional strides in Ivy’s direction. “I don’t believe you are any more qualified to decide that than either of us are. You continually blackmail my girlfriend and overwork them only to pretend that’s somehow their fault? Don’t you dare think you can talk down to me, Professor. You and I both know that I have more than enough experience in the field of caring for pokemon. Anything else is just an excuse. These pokemon do not belong to you in the first place!”

This seems to give Bellamy a pause and for the half of a breath of silence they blink and seem to almost freeze in their tracks. “...Girlfriend?” The quiet question and look of puzzlement cast towards Casimir is lost to anyone but the camera as Ivy quickly cuts them off.

“You think me unqualified, do you Casimir?” There's a moment's pause as she exhales through her nose before a thin, cold smile reaches across her face. “Then I suppose there's nothing else for it, is there. If I am not doing my due diligence, as you accuse me, and you both are so clearly woefully unequipped to care for such volatile pokemon, then it seems I must look for other avenues for their housing.” Her smile widens just slightly, her contempt barely hidden. “I’m sure there is some other facility that’s trained to handle such dangerous creatures.”

“What- No!” Amy for the first time in this video speaks up, their carefully held calm broken by the fear in their voice. “You can’t do that!”

That expression seems to set Casi off, he takes a final few steps before coming to stand directly in front of Ivy, his body still and his expression stony. The usual loud frustration gave way to something else, something much more serious, quiet, intense. “Professor Ivy, if you do that I will make the rest of your life a living hell. I can promise you that.”

Ivy’s face drops, her smile becoming something calculating and dark as she looks down on the man trying so hard to be intimidating. “Is that a threat, Casimir?”

Casi stands his ground, “Yeah. It is.” 

There's a tension, a fire between the two professors as the video cuts to black.

I imagine being an elf keeping track of humans as they live and die is a lot like keeping track of each new generation of pokemon. Roman and Remus got their Eevees from their parents before they both left home at age 10. They became somewhat estranged after some 10 year old drama.

Logan is soooo into pokemon research and seeing how pokemon can help further various fields. He goes into a lot of caves and jungles.

Patton didn’t leave home until later when Logan comes through doing very serious 10 year old research. They run into Roman in a ruin.

Virgil and Janus and are desperate to get away. They run into Remus first and do small time crimes that are objectively funny until they meet the others and Viril has a change of heart.

Eventually they all come together for something I don't know haven’t gotten that far.

2. Is there a Pokémon you hate/dislike?

Of course! Mhm. Off the top of my head, Suicune is pretty high? It’s not objectively something I dislike in general (like Toxel, no thanks, not for me) but there’s something about it that I Just Do Not Like and Have Never Liked. :’l 

19. What’s your favorite starter?

Turtwig! :D I love them to pieces, doubly so after my little brother got me a Turtwig plush for Christmas one year. It said Turtwig when you squeezed it and was the cutest thing. It was my favorite before that, but I can't imagine any other starter will top it after that. ^^;;

38. If you were a gym leader of what type would your team be? And which Pokémon would they be?

Poison or bug! They’re two of my faves and I think it would be fun to be one of the early gym leaders (and both could work for that, maybe bug more so)? o: Though you’d probs be inundated with a fair number of egotistical trash-talking small children which would stress my patience. 

Team would def have Venonat, and maybe Masquerain too? They're cute and fun. Unless the trainers wanted a challenge, then toss in Volcarona and Golisopod? o: Snom and Anorith would be cute too. Mhm.

Pokémon whose Paradox Pokémon Equivalents Survived the Mass Extinction in Fallenverse

GUIDELINES

Poison-, Ghost-, and Steel-types are more likely to survive.

Pokémon based on inanimate objects/nonliving things and synthetic Pokémon such as the Future Paradoxes are more likely to survive.

Pokémon resembling animals and plants that have survived mass extinctions in the past are more likely to survive (turtles, insects, small lizards & snakes, small mammals, any Grass Pokémon of a variant resembling things like magnolias, orchids or ginkgo, etc.)

Pokémon with lore that discusses their hardiness or other traits that would help them survive a mass extinction are more likely to survive.

Apex predators and larger Pokémon are less likely to survive.

Pokémon that level up later in life (ex: at level 40 instead of level 10) are less likely to survive.

Some Pokémon may have NFE forms that are more likely to survive whereas their fully evolved forms are not. These Pokémon will be listed by the highest form they take that survive. If a Pokémon survives only as a NFE, they have evolved (in a biological sense) to not be able to take their fully evolved forms anymore.

Paradox Pokémon who have advanced magic such as equivalents of Gardevoir and Alakazam may survive due to having been liberated after being used as batteries by Rheia, but power does not guarantee survival.

Fitting one of the criteria for survival does not guarantee survival, only makes it more likely. So, some Pokémon may fit one of these categories, but also not be listed as a surviving species.
