i was a bit meh about having only 20 draws today BUT i got 2 SSRs back to back AND its of characters i actually know about!! lucio and grimmir! im so happy aa

the boys!!!  those are two of my top favorite characters and I’m so happy they put them on rate up, they’re really strong AND really lovable, even if Lucio’s True Himbo Potential mostly shows in his interactions with sandalphon and that summer event he was in

oh god i remember loving yowapeda back in a bad time in my life it was so cathartic sdfsfd… i loved maki soo much and tbh i liked him both with tadokoro and toudou

god thats valid. im not even an anime fan and ESPECIALLY not really a sports anime fan but fr some reason i really liked it.. the characters were endearing and cute and their interactions were fun.. i also watched it when i was really happy so it was just.. a happy show to me

my faves were makishima, onoda, tadokoro, and kinjou prolly...  i haaaated midousouji (that seems obvious but @ the time of airing evryone frickin loved him)

davey makes me genuinely so mad because?? that guy literally HAS a talent for sprites, even if some designs are a bit awkward they still work in some way. i dont think i would ever be able to get such a sense of style as he does. i think hed be one of the most popular spriters... if he only fucking didnt steal shit! like how hard is it not to steal? this makes me recoil from the sheer amount of wasted potential

As much as I bang on about his sprites looking like a mess, there IS an idea there. It’s his insistence on cramming in as much details as humanly possible into his sprites that bring them down. 

His sprites have too much detail on them, dragging your eyes hither and yon trying to take in all the moles he puts on them. I’ve discussed this with others before, and a lot of us agree that if he would just remove 4 to 5 details the sprites wouldn’t even be that bad. Though I guess in doing that, those sprites would technically be mine, since all that’s left when you remove the moles and freckles are a compilation of other people’s sprite part. (but I digress)

I remember one time on his old blog, he got fed up with people rightfully calling him out on his sprite theft and made a sprite WITHOUT using any bases or ripped assets. And it looked fine. But for whatever  reason, he insists it looks terrible and went right back to stealing by his next post. If he’d just stick to doing that, he might develop his own following. Unfortunately, since he seems to be comfy on his throne of thievery, he’s not gonna go through the effort of actually, you know, putting effort into his sprites.
