People can send multiple if they want, I'd love to do this exercise again :) I've been mulling over this prompt for days. Soundwave didn't know what the word "hurt" meant anymore.

Was he arrogant to say that the zinging sting of metal burn from his desperate defensive blocks had disseminated to the dreary point of irrelevance, that a vicious thrust to the exhaust no longer exhausted him, that the prior, piercing screaming of his nerves where a blade found purchase in his tentacles now deflated to a muffled, mocking, weary whine, or that the heated sensation of his own energon sleeking down his rust-flecked visor—leaving graceful, tasteful, long, blue streaks right in his line of sight, to spite his own view—no longer felt any different from the gentle whisper of atmospheric condensation caressing his wings where he had once soared free and unharried?

The Pits were a game, and this game was infernal; the Pits were a shame, and this shame was eternal—and this endless enigma, Soundwave discerned, was perhaps the cursed prison where "hurt" had departed to dwell: not in the forgettable, intrisical, physical injuries of the body that fought for him, but rather, in the indescribable, inexcusable, inescapable knowledge of the mind that thought for him, imparted in the regrettable, expendable, incomprehensible pain that his perspective of the world had transformed for the worse, and words, to his displeasure, no longer carried the same worth he once treasured. ~
