//Mod speakin: The reason i chose Arachnid from TFP is because her personality reminds me of Evelynn from league (who is my main.)
The apathy, and the playful nature, + the alluring charm and their love for hunting sport is just too similar. I would also say that She also resembles Elise -
Tumblr media
The spider queen, basically, but Elise doesn't really have much lore outside of "She's a spider queen".
Evelynn is a demon of agony, she takes pleasure in other's pain, and hunts from the shadows the want for other's pain turns her basically into a demon of lust, or succubi, one might say, but her alluring charm isn't too take pleasure from others and suck out their soul, no. Her exterior is just to lure in her prey, so she can later dissect them and scavenge their pain for her own power.
She doesn't care, and she takes joy hurting and hunting others, which I find Arachnid to be very similar.
Aside from the "I can't feel anything without others screaming in agony", she is a playful(in the darkest way imaginable), apathetic creature, an inspection who thrives on watching others being tortured, their sparks being snuffed from their very body, and works alone. She only thinks of her own survival, and what will benefit her to get more power, to secure her safety. Her "Sport" is hunting Indigenous species, and keeping their heads as "Trophies". One would call a true sadistic psychopath this type of persona.
Not to mention they're both incredibly intelligent, use their femme fatale (mostly Evelynn) attributes to their advantage, and have a thing for grotesque exhibitionism. They love dismantling their victims in front of their loved ones, feeding off of that pain, like a bonus treat.
However, for whatever reason she became like that, most likely having to grow up in a lower class, or even high class(being spoiled, but that highly doubtful BCS of her uncaring nature when she offlines her victims, who are usually torn from limb-to-limb or are covered in her natural acid.) She is what you would define as one of the types of "Truly evil" character, who only works for herself and her own gain, which is not far from Evelynn's lore, who works just to stir chaos, pain, and destruction, to feed her own lust for all of the above. She had a hand in many of the misfortunes happening within Runeterra and gained loyal followers throughout her own lore.
Oh, and they're both hot.
That's all, that's the end of my rant analysis on both of my favorite characters! :D

God, I love Sentinel’s weapon so much. The fact that it can shift from a hilt, to a normal sword, to a double sided sword, or to a sword but pointing down is so cool. And it makes sense to have a weapon like that - he doesn’t need to adjust the hold on his sword in order to change which direction he’s stabbing or slashing at. (Spoilers for the movie below)
The fact it transforms is just so fitting for Cybertron too, with transformation being a major motif through the movie’s worldbuilding and character’s abilities- and the fact they have transforming weapons makes so much sense.
And it’s the same white and gold as him, meant to look like a weapon a hero would wield??? That it’s a weapon that could stab you just as much as it could stab your enemy, like how sentinel betrayed his own race while pretending to fight the quintessons?? Just so fitting for him…
(I’m definitely reading way too much into this, it’s likely just meant to be a cool weapon, but it’s too fun to do lol. I’m in a hyperfixation, you can’t stop me)

This short exchange says so much about each of them.
Ratchet: I love Optimus, but my hatred for Megatron is bigger. Both blind me to any consideration for Arcee’s and Bumblebee’s safety.
Arcee: My love for Optimus is more important than Ratchet’s hatred for Megatron, but doubts about my safety make me hesitate.
Bumblebee: My love for Optimus is more important than Ratchet’s hatred for Megatron, and my safety.
In no way do I fault Ratchet for falling back on his hatred, or Arcee for falling back on self-preservation.
However, I wonder if either of them had any regrets after the fact…or if Optimus was conscious during the exchange, did it affect how he saw them?

There's one thing that made Transformers One unique to me as a movie experience compared to the other Transformers films: its overall tone of impending doom. (spoilers below cut)
Since it's an origin story, Transformers One is a movie that's all about the "how" of things more than it is the "what". Watch any trailer and you already know that it's going to be about how Megatron and Optimus' friendship shattered.
The logical part of my brain knew that the fallout would happen, knew that when it happened it wouldn't be pretty nor pleasant.
And yet that didn't make the slightest difference in how I felt as I watched the story unfold.
This movie has inklings of that impending doom, starting with D16 get furious about Megatronus' death, proceeding to declare that he doesn't just want the truth to be revealed; he wants to kill Sentinel, and you can see that this declaration disturbs Orion. It's the first of many "uh oh"s and feelings of the inevitable, and it builds with subsequent scenes until, ultimately, the betrayal happens and the "uh oh" turns into "oh shit".
And yet, despite knowing that it was going to end this way, it still hurts. As Optimus says himself, he and Megatron could've rebuilt Cybertron together.
It didn't have to end this way. And yet there was no way that the story was not going to end this way, because you already knew what was going to happen before you even walked into the theater.
TF One doesn't just set Orion and D16 up for failure, it also sets YOU, the audience, up for misery. This movie gives me a strange feeling of being predictable and enjoyable, yet unpredictable and heartbreaking at the same time, and I give so many kudos to the cast and crew for succeeding in that endeavor.

I saw a Youtube comment talking about how, in the episode "Crosscross," Silas was able to track Jack's location and personal info via social media, so why didn't the Decepticons just do THAT all this time, so they could track the humans/Autobot base?
Then all the commenters agreed that it's because the CAPTCHA "I am not a robot" thing actually works on Decepticons, because they are, in fact robots.
I love this and it shall now be my crack headcanon.
(In all seriousness, I actually don't think it's a plot hole. I think it's a great example of the Decepticons' characterization.
The real reason Decepticons never tried social media tracking is because they're too proud to use human technology. To them, it's considered "inferior."
I'm fascinated by the idea that, if they hadn't underestimated human technology, they could have found all these Autobot secrets, like the location of their base and humans, EASILY. But they never bothered, because "oh, that's worthless human tech."
Keep in mind, in one episode, Starscream actually did explore the human internet, and almost located Bumblebee that way, but the others made fun of him for it (the tap-dancing monkey incident) so we can see they don't respect it enough to give it their time.
It also kinda shows how MECH, to some extent, has an advantage against the Autobots because they're all humans, and are therefore better aquatinted with Earth. Even Airachnid didn't realize social media would be a useful weapon until Silas explained it to her. The Decepticons are obviously more powerful since they're giant aliens, but MECH uses their humanity and Earth knowledge as their greatest strength. It's kinda neat.

I'm sure everyone has been seeing this go around and man, I can't stop thinking about it. It's so heartbreaking to me and it honestly changes the entire scene SO much. D-16 wasn't angry at Orion, he wasn't yelling at HIM, he was literally yelling at HIMSELF and questioning why HE did that. It makes me wonder if Orion knew that like, they know everything about the other and maybe D-16 talking to himself isn't uncommon. But would Orion be able to recognize that? Or would his helm be too fuzzy because he's dying? All he can see is D-16 speaking and staring at him with grief stricken optics.
But also knowing this scene, I wonder what went through D-16's head from having a mini panic attack, struggling to breathe and coming to his decision to drop Orion. Like did he drop him because Orion was already dying?? Because there was nothing he could do for him?? His body was already greying, his one optic was going out, his grip was loose, like. Did he just have to tell himself he can't help him to try and make it easier on himself? That Orion would be with the All Spark and by dropping him, he'd be dead before hitting the ground. Did he try saying "I'm done saving you" because he meant it in a way of "I can't help you anymore because you're already dead" or "I can't help you because I need to take our revenge" or did he try twisting it in his own helm?? Because when he speaks, he seems angry, so maybe he forces himself to put the blame on Orion, that he took the shot, that he can't help him anymore because he caused it to himself?
I just have so many thoughts on these two and the absolutely heartbreaking relationship they have. Like, even if you ship them, don't ship them, watching the two break apart is honestly so awful because you saw how close they were throughout the movie 😭
Edit: here's a link to the tweet with the official script!! It leads straight to a article that has the script attached at the bottom :)

Why Optimus being a good person in upper class/ Megatron being an angry rebellious lower class is a great and meaningful plot
Recently, with TFOne coming out, I’ve learned that the new movie made changes to Optimus and Megatron’s backstories and instead of giving them different backgrounds, like coming from different classes (like in tfp or idw1), they’re put in the same class as colleagues in mines. I’ve already seen people celebrating this as “an innovation/ something new” and an uplifting of Optimus’s character, because as the lower class he gets to rebel, therefore Megatron’s character aura won’t overshadow his. But actually, I am quite disappointed at this change. I think such arrangement is a worse one, not a better one, especially to those who love character depth and realist plots.
First of all, I want to argue that Optimus and Megatron carry every different roles in all transformers shows in general. By this I mean no matter how the plots change, the foundation of their motivations are different—maybe only except for Shattered Glass, where their roles are exchanged. Megatron’s foundation of motivation is: war/chaos. No matter how much his actions are justified, Megatron is still a bad guy, because he sticks to a path of violence and destruction rather than peace and negotiations. In contrast, (I put Megatron first because Optimus’s motivation is clearer if compared with Megatron) Optimus’s underlying logic (the foundation of his character motivation) is: peace/order. No matter how brilliant the battle scenes were, no matter how much he talked about “stopping Megatron at all costs”, Optimus’s final goal is to seek peaceful solution to the conflicts he engaged in, and find a way to resume order. That is also the basic logic of every transformers show, and how the playwrights justify autobots as the good guys, decepticons the bad guys. (This can be easily understood through series that give Megatron and decepticons fully justifiable motivations, like tfp and idw. They started the war because they were angry at the unjust treatments, and became villains because they eventually became a source of ongoing chaos and destruction)
With this premise, it is not difficult to see how brilliant and intelligent it is to put Optimus and Megatron in two different classes. Because people’s thoughts vary with very different experiences. In the past successful shows like tfp, the conflict between Optimus/Megatron is perfectly explained with an idealist/realist contrast.
Being an idealist advocate of freedom and equality is a successful way most Optimus(es) are portrayed. Under this premise, Optimus is basically a good person with strong sense of morality. He is aware of the problems in his system, seeks a change, but because he is from a more “privileged” class, or to say, closer to the power holders, he tends to develop an idealistic view of solving problems with milder approaches: handing in proposals, talking with congress members, or growing his own influence and trying to persuade the congress. In any of these cases, Optimus’s ideas are in line with his background. And like any well-written character, he is limited by what he can see in the class he belongs to.
As we’ve analyzed at the very beginning, Megatron’s characterization mainly revolves around “war and chaos”, one clever way (tfp and idw) playwrights used to make him more than just an evil stage prop is to make him more of a realist, in contrast with Optimus’s idealism. This usually comes with the backstory of Megatron coming from the bottom of the society, rebels with violence against social suppression he could not endure— at the same time, he also has a natural tendency to seek radical solutions. With this disadvantaged background, Megatron’s violent behaviors and refusal of peace are not groundless actions. It is a clever way to reflect the reality and increase plot depth. In my opinion, explaining “why the villain does evil” is the key to a successful story.
Another thing I want to argue is that, I don’t think giving Megatron and decepticons a justifiable backstory is diminishing/ “overshadowing” Optimus’s character. Because as we analyzed above, Megatron and Optimus have different roles to play. One overthrows the old system, the other rebuilds the new system. One raises the question, the other spends more efforts to find a feasible solution. Optimus and Megatron are two sides of the same coin. The depth of Megatron’s motivation actually decides how brave/noble/meaningful Optimus is in the act of “defeating” Megatron. For example, If Megatron’s “evil” is flatly portrayed as a bad-tempered child throwing a tantrum, Optimus’s “act of justice” is merely an older child calming the naughtiest kid in class.
Some believe that “not being able to stand up and rebel against suppression (like idw Megatron did)” made Optimus somehow “uncool” compared to Megatron. But he’s not. In fact, Optimus’s journey is not a bit easier compared to Megatron.
Instead of “suppressed class rebelling when there’s nothing to lose”, Optimus’s growth arc follows the route of a compassionate upper class who can look beyond where he stands for, and resonate with people who’s living under him and away from his life. Compared to Megatron’s “outward rebellion”, Optimus’s rebellion is “inward”: he has to fight himself to reach the higher ground— fighting the urge to step back into his conventional ways of thinking, fighting his self-doubts and inborn modesty to step back from leadership (very well presented in TFA and TFP), and by the end of the war, in most Megop fictions, Optimus has to fight back the urge to continue the war as he is used to, and step forward to “see” and “move” Megatron— understanding him, reaching out to him, loving him. Many people take “fighting on with the villains” as a braver, manly act, but actually stopping the conflict takes more courage and wisdom. And in the long run, it’s always a superior choice.
In short, I still think writing Megatron as the rebellious lower class and Optimus a compassionate upper class is a genius idea beyond comparison. They’re bound to be different, and there’s no harm in creating separate backstories for them. Like I’ve read in an early megop novel that has become a classic: “I’m here to do things you wouldn’t, so that you can do what’s right.” (Megs to OP)
In my own impression, Megatron is a radical revolutionary, and Optimus is an idealist reformer. The two carry different aims and functions in the plots, their values contradict and supplement each other, and so when they’re finally united, sitting down and listening to each other, their unity is incomparable.

tf skybound issue 14 thoughts / analysis / connections n whatnot. spoilers for the issue 15 preview too.
absolutely gorgeous art
VERY G1 starscream vibes in some places xD... i could practically hear his voice
more of starscream's origin and a bit more of megatron! i like megatron's characterization in skybound so far plus the decepticon cause's. i think skybound's decepticon ideology's gotta be my favorite, it just meshes their violence with their believed righteousness in such a great way.
this issue gives starscream quite a different initial approach to morality than seen in previous continuities (iirc) where here in #14 he is against killing prisoners of war while being a decepticon (often he's with loose morals even before becoming a decepticon).
megatron has the ability to mentally coerce the one wielding him to bend to his will (painfully), which i think is a really cool concept.
this makes starscream's evil directly caused by megatron from prolonged exposure to his influence conditioning/corrupting him. as seen in the mini background panels, over time blasting many Autobots to scrap, starscream grows to enjoy it
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i've personally always loved starscream's evil to be completely independent of megatron('s) (as it has been) so i'm a bit conflicted on this aspect of skybound starscream... but i do understand its purpose/role in the story though.
issues #13/#14 run a parallel between then starscream & megatron and present starscream & those humans: both purport to Starscream they want to help him, but in reality they just want to use him for their own benefit. with that then story running parallel to the present one, starscream's dialogue about those humans also reflects upon how he felt under megatron's control
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
megatron forcing starscream to wield him definitely felt like it was expounding upon a question one might have had watching G1 — "why would megatron let someone who openly covets his position wield him?" of course, skybound isn't g1 and takes the idea and angle quite differently than the show did. with this it also supplies the reason of why starscream resents megatron and wants to overthrow and kill him.
and of G1, the Decepticons siding with starscream are ones who have sided with him once in the cartoon — the Combaticons in Starscream's Brigade and Astrotrain in Triple Takeover (and of course, Astrotrain was also the one to crown Starscream in the 1986 movie).
with Soundwave having the Constructicons and Starscream the Combaticons, a cool fight between Devastator and Bruticus is sure to ensue (vol 3 [collects #13-#18 + the story from the 2024 special] is called "Combiner Chaos" anyway)
i will be delighted to see soundwave and his decepticons vs starscream and his decepticons.
soundwave looks to be a megatron loyalist in this continuity and shares a bit of his sentiments (a bit below).
neat how then starscream and present thundercracker both had objections to the treatment of prisoners of war.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
not the first time there's been a similarity between them, here's panels (#1 & #8) that parallel each other:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and how they differ:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
not 1:1, but megatron's words to starscream reminded me of soundwave's to thundercracker — a subordinate's objection met with a reminder of their place and that their objection is irrelevant to their superior.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
also worth noting, soundwave keeps thundercracker by his side despite his continual disagreements with how things are going, which is similar to megatron keeping starscream (who resents him) by his side.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i'd guess these similarities serve to build up to thundercracker possibly eventually actively opposing soundwave (as opposed to just going along with it) — here in the #15 preview he gives the humans warning to flee before blasting the building
Tumblr media
now, knowing megatron's gunmode has the ability to mentally coerce the wielder to bend to his will... looks like this is what's happening with optimus wearing megatron's cannon arm!! xD. "megatron's cannon arm is influencing prime" has been built up and noticed, but it's nice to have megatron's ability now explicitly shown.
In #5 Starscream comments on Optimus having Megatron's cannon arm, and Optimus has a bit to say to him before blasting him with it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Many noticed the parallel between Megatron & Optimus's fight in the Energon Universe Special 2024 and Optimus & Shockwave's in #12 as well as his tinged eye color.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now with #14 we can also see a a similar thing that happened to Optimus happen to Starscream — Megatron's influence practically forcing their hand, going against what they wanted. Note the green-yellow background gradient suggesting Megatron's mental coercion in Starscream's panels, and in Optimus's panels (above) when his eyes are tinged there's yellow or yellow-green used in the background.

I love the "humans into Cybertronians" trope, so we should have more work about the weirdness that's humanity, especially as an animal, and how it translates into their Cybertronian frame.
I mean, Earth is very much a Death Planet/Space Australia goes really well with the "Unicron is Earth" subplot. Might as well lean really into it.
Like tolerance to toxins and disease, so it's not just a wider range of possible substances to consume but even capable of figuring out how to prepare toxic ingredients into edible dishes that won't kill other Cybertronians as well as greater resistance towards certain pathogens as infectious disease a massive driving force when it comes to evolution. I think it would be fascinating to explore the effects of the genetic mutations transferring over, like how the very genes that increased survival with bubonic plague (Black Death) is capable of withstanding of the Cybertronian-equivalent, Rust Plague or Cosmic Rust. Funny enough, those mutations that allow that resistance to plague are also associated with developing autoimmune diseases such as Crohn's disease and rheumatoid arthritis.
So now, more potential storylines for disabilities and how they're perceived between humans and Cybertronians, especially how each side approaches it.
Transformation capabilities are incredibly important to them. It's deeply entwined in their cultural/societal framework, so a cyberformed!human with no T-cog is the disability to them.
Look at the massive difference between Ultra Magnus losing a hand versus Starscream and Bumblebee losing their T-cogs; physical disabilities have workarounds or even straight-up fixes as long there are enough resources (Breakdown's eyepatch and Ultra Magnus' claw).
It doesn't matter the training or capabilities. Agent Fowler's military record and June Darby's medical experience would be considered secondary as they're severely handicapped and more vulnerable compared to them. Then there are other angles to utilize of the biological and cultural differences, especially with the popular fandom idea of sparklings and canon Functionism, so would it really be a huge surprise if those cyberformed!humans were coddled or infantilized since humans barely last a single year in a Cybertronian lifetime? That has to be beyond frustrating on so many levels.
And vice versa, like imagine a humanized Megatron gets taken out by celiac disease or being severely lactose intolerant?

Cybertron's Atmosphere
A bit of a lore inconsistency of the aligned series is whether or not Cybertron has an atmosphere capable of sustaining humans.
Transformers Prime indicates that the planet lacks a breathable atmosphere, as Jack has to wear a suit when he visits Cybertron to get access to Vector Sigma-
Tumblr media
-and the Decepticons even use the kids for ransom, threatening to expose them to Cybertron's atmosphere if the Autobots don't comply (which wouldn't be a threat if they were able to breathe)
Tumblr media
However, we do see at least one evidence of an oxygen-rich atmosphere in Rescue Bots Academy, when Medix brings his bat friend to Cybertron on a field trip and it causes some chaos.
Tumblr media
So does it, or does it not?
Well, based on timing, I would say that Dead Cybertron definitely does not have a breathable atmosphere, which is the version the Prime humans encounter. However, perhaps prior to its "Death" before Prime's beginning, and following its reawakening at the end, it was able to produce enough oxygen for organics to visit it.
Plus, there's plenty of references in other continuities about Cybertron having green, organic origins...
Tumblr media
Oxygen is also needed for typical rust to form, which is mentioned quite a bit throughout the series on top of the "Cosmic Rust" virus.
So ultimately, I think Cybertron has oxygen when it is active and healthy, so maybe the Prime kids could come back to visit it some time minus the death-trap of before.

As someone who agrees with a decent amount of the pre-war Decepticon party’s views in certain continuities, some of y’all new fans are starting to piss me off with your belief that D-16 was correct in Transformers One. As someone who does a lot of community organizing and writes on sociopolitical theory vs. practice, especially within the context of the anti-colonial struggle (as well as the Black struggle simultaneously or separately depending on the context), a lot of the reasons you all choose to support D-16 and diss on Orion are actually obscene and you need to crack open a book. I normally don’t like shoving theory in people’s faces, as I think that it comes with a pedantic demeanor that relies on belittling people and feeding a moral superiority complex amongst academics. However, this is one of the cases where I think a lot of people truly need to take the time to read into why D-16’s emotions and initial reactions are valid, but the decisions he makes in providing solutions are wrong. That being said, I will be writing a paper on D-16’s fall from grace in conversation with Paulo Freire’s “Pedagogy of the Oppressed,” because a lot of the ways in which Freire discusses how the oppressed become their oppressors in the name of liberation, which is no fault of their own in some areas, is relevant to D-16’s transformation into Megatron. A lot of you are thinking with a more pathos-based means of societal change without thinking about realism, practicality, and actually analyzing D-16’s character and why he does what he does. It is more so an attempt at self-preservation and closure from embarrassment (specifically from taking the bait and living as a conformist) than an actual attempt at political change. I also encourage new fans to get more acquainted with Transformers continuities to better round their perspectives, as a lot of this is turning into the “Killmonger was right” discourse, which is problematic for a lot of reasons as a Black scholar who discusses Blackness, representation, and political discourse often in their writing. Seeing these really bad takes spread online, not only hurts how people interact with Transformers media in the future, but arguably indicates a rise of certain short-sighted political philosophies that translate directly into activism.

I found more TFP Characters Stats and they are VERY Interesting
So over a week ago I found out that in the Japanese airing of Transformer Prime, they put up these commercials in between episodes that displays the characters stats. Back then I only found Soundwave’s, but now I’ve found almost everyone.
Again, I have no guarantee that these are canon enough, cause it's made by Japanese, who made Airachnid a yandere.
But it’s fun to assume they are.
(SPOILERS ALERT)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
First of all. MEGATRON ACTUALLY HAVE HIGHER INTELLIGENCE STATS THAN OPTIMUS!!!??? (Op got 8 and MT got 9)
Not only that but also higher speed and firepower TOO (OP got 7 speed and 9 firepower, and MT got 9 speed and 10 firepower).
Sure Optimus got bigger courage and skills but in battlefields if MT is not so dr**ed up he might just win a lot more.
And speaking of unexpected intelligence.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Compared to Arcee, Airachnid also got WAY higher intelligence (AH 9 and RC 7) and slightly higher strength (AH 5 and RC 4) AND FIREPOWER (AH 5 and RC 4).
I was at first surprised how Airachnid could be so smart but then it did made sense since she was able to always lure Arcee into her fun cave to beat her up and was able to easily kill Breakdown.
(And I know technically this was supposed to be the Japanese yandere Airachnid but— let’s just ignore that— maybe let’s pretend it’s the normal Airachnid okay? Please?)
But Arcee got 9 on courage.
Airachnid might got the cunning but at least Arcee got the feral.
And the way Arcee only got 7 on the intelligence out here is breaking stereotypes that the only girl in the group has to be smart.
Luckily not all Autobot and Decepticon rivalry ends in a Decepticon topping the Autobot.
For example.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bulkhead is a lot— AND I MEAN A LOT better than Breakdown is.
He’s got higher strength (BH 10 and BD 9), intelligence(BH 5 and BD 4), courage (BH 8 and BD7), rank (BH 6 and BD 4) AND firepower (BH 7 and BD 6)
Bruh Breakdown is competing with Bulkhead just because he is insecure 😂😂😂😅😅
Bulkhead can actually sweep the floor with Breakdown if he wanna!
also I think Breakdown got the lowest stat in intelligence and rank than any other characters here.
This actually does explain how Breakdown could be killed so easily by Airachnid, honestly, since Airachnid got more than twice as much intelligence as him.
Well at least we know Knockout married him for true love.
And speaking of Knockout.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He’s SO WEAK!! 😂😂😂😂
Dude Knockout is an absolute LOOSER!! (At least according to the Japanese)
He LITTERALLY GOT 5 SKILLS, ENDOURANCE, AND 4 COURAGE!!
THAT IS ALMOST THE SAME ENDOURANCE AND ALMOST HALF THE COURAGE AS ARCEE (who is about only 1/2 of his body size btw) (his buff armours are just for shows) AND HALF THE SKILL OF RATCHET!!
HOW DID KNOCKOUT EVEN MANAGED TO BE A MEDIC!!
He is only a bit good on speeds. Now no wonder he loves racing ITS THE ONLY THING HE IS GOOD AT!! Bro litterally covers himself in makeups cause he’s too self aware 😂😂😂!
I wondered how he managed to lie so perfectly on his job resume.
And speaking of medics.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ratchet is WAY better in everything than I expected.
He’s more than twice the medic Knockout would ever be.
He actually got EIGHT endurance which is surprising, cause that is only one star lower than Bulkhead!
The doctor might be old but he’s still got armors and bones as strong as boulders.
No wonder he kept getting beaten up in this serie but just got up fine and never snap his back once like my own grandpa after standing up from his chair.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wheeljack on the other hand is also not bad at all.
He got 9 skills. I guess that’s what got him to be able to make all his terrorist toys.
Also it’s funny cause he’s only got 8 endurance, that’s 2 stars lower than Ratchet.
Could you just IMAGINE Wheeljack and Ratchet fist bumping as hard as they could but it was Wheeljack who ended up having to grab his fists in pain??
Also he only got 6 intelligence?? That’s honestly far lower than I excepted tbh. That is only one star higher than Bulkhead.
No wonder Ultra Magnus has such a bad time.
(it’s also funny how Arcee criticized Wheeljack for impulsively going to avenge Bulkhead when she herself is only like, one stat smarter, and does that with Airachnid on a daily basis (sure she didn’t drag any humans in but she is still barely better).
(Also by the way, speaking of Ultra Magnus, he doesn’t have a stat page unfortunately cause the Japanese TFP never got a season 3, it just ends at Optimus breaking the Alpha lock and that’s it, which means Ultra Magnus never appeared, and neither did Shockwave (beside that one Arcee flashback) and Predaking unfortunately).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh and the Dreadwing Skyquake twins are over powered.
Just look at them!
They are almost the exact same in stats except Skyquake got more endourance and Dreadwing got more fire power.! If Megatron had both of them at the same time they could just deep fry the Autobots in episode 10!
RIP Skyquake you had SO much POTENCIALS man. And to think that even the PRIME HIMSELF ALONE can’t take you out without major help from Bumblebee.
And speaking of Bumblebee.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
HE MAXED OUT ON COURAGE.
Listen no one else in this whole list got courage 10 except Bumblebee.
Not Arcee, not Optimus, not Ratchet, not Smokescreen, and not even Wheeljack.
HE IS FERAL!!
Damn it man now thinking back I don’t think I recall a SINGLE MOMENT in the entire show, although it wasn’t obvious first time through, that Bumblebee actually considered for his own safety before doing anything. And it’s not even in an “I am willing to sacrifice my own safety for the greater good” way but a “Oh I’m gonna lose a leg for this but it’ll be nice? Sign me up!” Way! “Psyc link into Megatron? Count me in!” “Jump on top of Skyquake? You bet!” “Run straight toward Silas when you can litterally wait for 5 more minutes but then you can get your t cog back for five more minute earlier? I’m coming!!”
If it’s not for the fact that Bumblebee got a good dad that he’s happy to listen to he will be a bigger disaster than Wheeljack is.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The other kid, Smokescreen, is just a tad bit weaker. But he’s way better than I expected since he only just joined this war. (*cough cough* way better than Knockout).
However,
on the other servo.
Tumblr media
Starscream is OVERPOWERED.
Tumblr media
Bro has got EIGHT STRENGTH despite his skinny arms (same as Skyquake & Dreadwing), NINE SPEED (faster than Megatron), NINE FIREPOWER (same as Optimus) and TEN FRAGGING SKILLS (same as RATCHET)
Honestly. If it weren’t for the 3 courage, DUDE COULD ACTUALLY HAVE A CHANCE TAKING OVER MEGATRON!!! He
is
strong.
He honestly doesn’t even need the apex armour tbh! And there are countless times he got defeated probably only because he froze in fear or else he could have absolutely fought back and won!!
That 3 courage ruined him.
Also they don’t have Cliffjumper too and that is very unfair tbh cause Skyquake also appeared for only one episode but got his, and pretty unfortunate cause I really wanna see how strong exactly Cliff was before his death.

Ok so I really need to talk about Transformers Prime Starscream and some crazy stuff he did
Tumblr media
One thing about him is that he almost killed Optimus Prime in the first season ( Season 1 episode 14) , used warriors Megatron forgot about (Skyquake and Makeshift) killed Cliffjumper, almost found coordinates of autobots base(makeshift situacion) lived on his own without his T-cog, was ready to operate on himself (forgot what episode was that, I think one with red energon), took Omega keys from autobots (he is only bot that made Optimus lose his temper and scream) found autobots base coordinates, really resourceful ( he is using everything that can be used, Makeshift is best example) and my favorite thing about him is he is pretty durable (He can handle Megatron's beatings, serious injuries and more).
Tumblr media
So overall when we list what he has done we can see why Megatron wanted him as his second in command. Not to mention his actual military experience as a seeker before the war. He is a character worth respecting, some people often says his plans fail but it's usually because of others (if vihecon didn't get closer to Wheeljack he wouldn't free himself and makeshift would be successful,he would even kill Optimus if Megatron didn't intervined and if Skyquake listened to him he would also be able to fight Optimus and Bumblebee). I think he gets unfair treatment from fandom because of this and if you actually start peeling layers of his character you would see his real worth. Just wanted to say this because I really love this character and he is my favorite transformer.

What are your opinion on Transformers Prime Starscream?
(please be respectful because I want a normal debate not an argument)

who wants to read about optimus prime dissasociating and hallucinating about megatron/d-16 and orion pax for 3.3k words!
---
there are expectations, of a prime. of duty- servitude. protection, guidance. he imagines it ought to be stifling- orion pax would have thought it so. optimus wonders if he should find it so as well.
strength is not only his duty, but his birthright. his purpose. war- conflict. protection. battle. he was born into it. he will die amongst it, he assumes.
---
like this, lowered to the ground, hydraulics weakened, gear-locks disengaged- he can almost imagine himself a body the memories of which are abstract and unfamiliar. smaller- sweeter, perhaps.
orion pax was not one to kneel, either.
still, this is as close as he can get to his once self.
there is a ghost, at the edge of his processor, two, if he allows them. three, if he wishes. His beginnings, his eternity, and his enevitible end.
---
red morphs into orange into gold. end into eternity into beginning. into memories that belong not to him- but memories he clings to nontheless
soft optics and a aggrieved smile. optimus is a mech who was born haunted. A ghost of something someone he once knew once knew.
a hand, open and gentle, servos almost brushing against his cheek.
just oh so slightly to the left. a slight tilt of the helm is all it would take to shatter the illusion in front of him.
he refrains. permits himself imagine the hollow sound of metal tapping against metal. instead of silence, air brushing by his finials
---
'you look like him, like this. You know.'
'like orion.' (lies)
If he could reply. bring himself to online his voice module, respond to this haunting of his own mind- of orions spark. what would he say?
orion is dead. you killed him
'It was orions fault, though.'
'he got in the way.'
yeah.
---
knelt low, servos curled to his thighs, fans halted and processes slowed.
Like this, optimus could almost be mistaken for a statue. not particularly serene, but -
there is a tension to him. he arose to war. forged for battle. it is inate.
---
If it had been orion in his place-
---
blue optics stare at up him, bright and sweet.
optimus wants to hate him, hate him almost as much as he pities him.
one half of his beginning.
a spark that lays within his own. intertwined- smothered, protected, maybe. he wonders how much of him is orion. how much of orion was him.
slowly coaxing closed. he will smother what is left, eventually. it is not a relief.
---
he loved you. He wants to say it, wants to online his optics and his vocals and see this non-existent spectre that has been passed onto him by orion pax.
wants to shout at it this truth that he was born into. wants to profess the love of a mech that died for his birth for a mech that died for the same over and over again.
as if that truth couldve changed anything, couldve saved d-16 and orion pax. couldve stopped the spark that resides in his chest from curling and twisting into that of a prime. into himself.
---
back into orange into red.
"I love you I love you I love you I love you"
It beats in his chest like a drum
not only had orion left him his ghosts, he had left his love, and as orion died and so rose optimus, so did d-16 die, and so rose megaton.
was it so strange, then? that the love that orion pax held so dearly to his spark, died as well, and so rose for optimus prime, love. as well?
---
blue shutters into life. He turns his attention elsewhere. He remains a coward. does not want to view the nothing that he knows is there.
---

Tbh the more I watch the scene of the fall, the more I am convinced that the audience/Orion’s pov and D-16’s own pov are 2 somewhat different stories, which is kinda the point cause D-16/Megatron is the hero of the story to himself. But I like… lowk think that D-16 saw that Orion’s injury was actually fatal, and because Orion’s fate was sealed (that fate being death, as far as D-16 knows), it boils into rage at Sentinel, and the circumstances that led this point.
Cause like the “why did you do that, why” was to himself, but without that little note in the TF:One script, it really did seem like D-16 was asking Orion why he got in the way.
Though i think D-16 still ended up blaming Orion for Orion’s seemingly imminent death. “I’m done saving you” would be where the blame for Orion’s death probably shifts in D-16’s mind from himself, to Orion.
That’s not to say that D-16 doesn’t still blame himself in part tho, but I think him thinking Orion was gonna be dead anyways, and that Orion sealed his own fate is what made D-16 drop Orion.
I still def think D-16 tearing into Sentinel’s trackers (them golden guys who were guarding and fighting for Sentinel) and then ripping apart Sentinel himself was fueled by rage/grief.
Like D-16 still had his cannon, the original method he wanted to use to kill Sentinel. It would have been a cleaner, more impersonal kill. Instead he chooses to use his bare hands. Much more messy, much more personal, much more raw emotion there.

Can doing little discussion about tf prime ratchet that not knowing at all about human medicine?
I meant from ratchet situation even he and other stuck on earth he not having humans around so he feel O need learning human medicine at all, but when Jack, raf and Miko came to base, he still not learning about human medicine. Sure he probably thinking that the kids will be fine because they still in base but of course the kids again getting involved in battle , again he not learning human medicine for childrens even after they getting involved in battle, sure they are fine but sometimes they are not so lucky.
And well raf is the victim of dark energon, even ratchet hopeless to help raf again it was a luck he can help raf.
I know ratchet annoyed by humans and frustrated with war and all but really I think it's very reckless and irresponsible that ratchet not starting learning human medicine when he have human childrens around.
So what do you think about this tf prime ratchet behavior?
Honestly, I may be fought for this assessment, but I think Ratchet's lack of knowledge on human medicine is to be expected.
Think about it this way. You get a pet mouse, and to take care of it, you learn what it needs to survive. Food, water, shelter, and sufficient enrichment. The average person doesn't end up learning much more about his or her pet because they don't need to. The pet in question, generally speaking, especially if kept in a habitat, will be fine 95% of the time. Sure, the pet may have its quirks, resulting in special adjustments to environment and necessities. But overall, all needs to own a pet is a basic understanding.
Do you know every possible disease that could befall your dog? Do you know about possible treatments for skin cancer in rodents? How about potential genetic issues in snakes? Ratchet isn't a vet, he's a doctor. And for a majority of the show, let's be real, the kids are like pets. Ratchet can keep them fed, keep them safe, and patch up minor injuries by throwing Band-Aids at them. But up until the dark energon incident, there really wasn't a ton of reason for him to learn more about the children because, again, generally speaking, pets in a solid habitat don't tend to get hurt in weird ways. And even when they do, that's what an actual vet is for.
And guess what? June is a human doctor. She is, essentially, a vet. Ratchet had no real reason to learn more than necessarily. Additionally, there was the issue of time, tension, and his sheer size. For him, learning delicate human medicine would probably be the same as a human trying to conduct life saving surgery on a carpenter ant. It would be nigh on impossible due to size and anatomy differences. Sure, even if he learned HOW it worked, that wouldn't directly translate to skill.
With the war, the team constantly getting injured, and a thousand other things happening, I doubt Ratchet had the time or the patience to learn the intricacies of the class hamster's biology.
Maybe he learned some of the simple stuff and rolled from there and we just never got to see it really showcased. I don't know. But this is my assessment.
