Okay you're using THE TERRIBLE WRITING OF S2 TO PROVE YOUR LITTLE HORRIBLE SLIMY GENOCIDAL GREASEMAN IN THE RIGHT???? WHY ARE YOU VOUCHING FOR HIM. WHY DO YOU SAY HIS IDEAS ARE RIGHT AUUUUGH-

Okay, time to dig into literally EVERYTHING ALL OVER AGAIN BECAUSE YOU CAN'T SEEM TO LET GO OF THIS MAN AND HIS OBVIOUS LACK OF HUMANITY IN HIM AND CONTINUE TO SEE SOMETHING THATS NOT THERE. I will start off by saying the quality of the writing for season 2 and season 2's entire disregard for season 1 don't discredit season 1, no matter what nonsense there is. I hate season 2 for all its going for thus far and its just genuinely a waste of my braincells to try watching it again. There are also things not specifically related to mandroid but are also pet peeves that show your lack of attention to detail.

How. Did you miss this. Humans have been living with bots for 30 to 40 years at this point they don't bat an eye at them because THEY THINK THEY'RE JUST SOME BOTS CASUALLY WALKING AROUND. They don't give a fuck about the terrans; only a select few know they are even earth-born bots. Transformers have been living amongst humans casually don't you think they wouldn't give two fucks and know not to gawk at random robots walking around like they just started existing?

You saw the Philadelphia episode (I hope? because you act like you haven't) or really any episode they are just chilling and walking around, you didn't notice nobody gave a damn? What about Optimus, Elita 1, and other bots? Would you randomly gawk at a group of sapient beings walking amongst you who've been there for a lifetime?

No.

They had to hide FROM GHOST not FROM THE ENTIRE HUMAN RACE. Ghost would have tried to capture them and imprison them by deeming them a threat for merely existing, not humans as a whole. The fact you miss this entire detail is incredibly sad.

Okay now onto Mandroid stuff because you never stop meatriding him MY GOD

Huh, maybe you need to USE YOUR BRAIN and realize he was not protecting earth. He -thought- he was, because he perceived them as vermin who need to be wiped out and a threat to humanity. Like I said before in my last post DECEPTCONS DO NOT EQUAL ALL OF TRANSFORMERS OH MY GOD. Plus with this season its clear there can't be the same writers on this team. They have sacrificed the story for toymaking opportunities DON'T YOU THINK MAYBE HE'S NOT RIGHT JUST BECAUSE S2 SOMEHOW SAYS THE -CONS IN SPECIFIC (NOT ALL BOTS MY FUCKING GOD)- ARE TO NOT BE TRUSTED AND ARE DANGEROUS? USE YOUR CRANIUM THAT EVOLUTION HAS GIVEN YOU. Mandroid conflated every single transformer with a twisted ideal in his head born out of hate, not from a true sense of danger nor did he separate cons and autobots or unaligned bots in his head from the conglomerate "evil" he thinks they are.

As above so below, you're DEFENDING HIS TERRIBLE GENOCIDAL BEHAVIOR BY BEING LIKE "HE MIGHT HAVE DONE BAD STUFF BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY HE WAS JUST PROTECTING EARTH" over a giant guardian robot who's being mind controlled and had no intention to do this or will of her own. Why are you so adamant on convincing yourself he was a good or commendable man? Where is your basic comprehension of anything in this show at all. HE TRIED TO COMMIT GENOCIDE ON A WHOLE RACE OF BEINGS WHO HAD BEEN COEXISTING ON EARTH FOR YEARS. It's not something you can go 'erm acshually-" on.

He literally killed EVERYONE who was a transformer; even if their death wasn't permanent they still died because he saw them all as a disease needing to be eradicated.

He has no sense of humanity, only hate in his heart and the need to destroy. How do you think he was protecting earth when he had succeeded at murdering an entire population off the face of the earth even if it's only for about 5-10 minutes? HOW ARE YOU THIS BLIND TO MEATRIDE HIM THIS HARD.

I honestly doubt they knew about her, let alone understood the glyphs everywhere. They were just mapping ancient tunnels and figuring it out; Croft also probably forbid anyone from entering due to the DWELLERS, not Terratronus; she was well off course and well protected/hidden by dirt and freaky alien monsters. Even if they somehow DID know, GHOST probably just utilized Terratronus to justify imprisoning dozens of transformers; whether they were cons, neutral, or autobots that didn't want to be part of a government mass incarceration and control program. Mandroid probably didn't give a shit at the moment because he was busy trying to squash literal children like bugs. Shut up about this stupid attempt at the executives making money off of random plot bullshit and toymaking opportunities.

AS STATED IN MY LAST POST: YOU ARE CONFLATING DECEPTICONS WITH ALL TRANSFORMERS, AS MANDROID DID. ONE GROUP DOES NOT EQUAL ALL OF THEM, AND DOES NOT MAKE TRANSFORMERS AS A WHOLE DANGEROUS IF THERE ARE INDIVIDUALS WHO CAUSE TROUBLE. MANDROID SAW ALL TRANSFORMERS AS A THREAT EVEN IF THEY HAD BEEN LIVING WITH HUMANS PEACEFULLY FOR DECADES. YOU ARE HERE SIMPLY REITTERATING A STUPID AND NULL POINT THATS PROVEN WRONG AGAIN AND AGAIN IN S1. His reasoning behind his actions are "we need to get rid of these filthy dangerous vermin who are invading our precious planet." Also the chaos terrans being born evil is a horrible plotpoint and groups being born evil is terrible writing, just like the entirtey of Season 2 because these new writers on the team understand nothing about the show as is. (Yes, most of the writers in s2 never worked on s1)

You watched the finale of season 1 and GATHERED NOTHING FROM IT. I will say this again to make it clear; Mandroid is a stand-in for people who believe in racist and xenophobic ideas, and will stop at nothing to destroy them. The transformers are an allegory for refugee immigrants, and the terrans are first gen decedents. You continuing to believe his lies and defending him just borderlines on you upholding racist ideals. (That might sound deranged af of a claim but considering the context... yeah)

TLDR for lazy people: This fool pinged in this post is claiming a character who ATTEMPTED TO COMMIT GENOCIDE as being in the right somehow with his ideals/actions and not a total morally bankrupt person. Meatriding getting in the way of logic.

Is it just me or does every adult in earthspark feel like they're either exes, have a crush on each other, or in some form of polycule?

Look hear me out, first we got Megatron and Optimus. That story has been told a thousand times already and we all know their divorce was just the war.

Next we got soundwave who gives off some serious bitter ex husband vibes. Who now has something with Shockwave over their mutual hurt of Megatron's betrayal.

Megatron and Starscream is a whole another mess of a toxic pile of a relationship. It wouldn't surprise me if there was some hate interfacing involved.

Next we got elita and Optimus. Which yeah that just his wife.

Then things happen (a lot of high en) and the trio of Optimus, elita, & Megatron became a throuple

Dot and Megatron definitely have/had a situationship. Look it was the war and you can obviously tell they care for each other.

Of course there's dot and her husband Alex and his boyfriend bumblebee. Like come in you are not that much of a fanboy and not at least have a crush.

Breakdown and bee are cute boyfriends. They just don't know it yet.

Prowl and Megatron definitely had spared before and it turned into a make out session. The hug they had was just so sweet. ✨

Maybe Dr mandroid and Alex had a thing back when they were friends. The only one I can't think of something for is Wheeljack.

What if-

So we know that Megatron and Dorothy are friends right? And by the looks of it, he is regarded as family.

My headcanons for the Malto Family and Megatron is that they know how to speak Tagalog.

Alex knows it since he is Filipino. The kids kinda has a hard time with it since they are still learning, Dot probably knows how to speak it because she probably learned for her husband

Megatron on the other hand ,oh he uses it on a basis to Dorothy to talk slag about some people.

Megatron probably knows a ton if cuss words too, and he doesn't really speaks Tagalog, he only does it when he is heavily pissed or talking shit.

Plus points if bots can't understand what he is saying until they download the language module for Tagalog.

Anyways I rewatched the movie Flushed Away earlier (goated as hell tbh) and could not restrain myself from imagining Breakbee in that scenario, so I went cuckoo for cocoa puffs outlining, sigh, another fic script, and scribbling over screenshots from the movie.

(I have the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever for the freezer scene *staring menacingly at a certain shuttle*)

I think I'm gonna call it Castaway AU bc there's no way I'm willingly going to reference toilets more often than absolutely required

So anywho, I introduce to you a quick (it took me two days to work on, shit was NOT quick) sketch/comic/thing that kinda gives a basic idea for the dynamic of this AU!

I couldn't for the life of me make the pupils look good so the bots are going blank style here. Also Dr. Meridian somehow came out looking less ugly than I'd expected him to, but dw he's still a devious mf. I also realized way too late that I drew the robo arm on the wrong side from canon, so there's that haha

It's gonna be so funny trying to write Breakdown as this prim and proper college dropout constantly getting owned by street rat Bumblebee

There are SO MANY MORE art pieces in the works for this, so many claymation rats I have to stare at oughh wish me luck

Alex and Dr Meridian, much younger, and probably when they were still studying at University. I like to think they were very close, like brothers. A shame the show didn’t allude more to their friendship, cause clearly they had one once. I kept imagining what they would look like, rather carefree and genuinely happy 🥲

What's really tragic about Mandroid is that it's heavily implied that he was a nice and good person before his accident. I find it hard to believe Alex would've been friends with him if Mandroid was an asshole to begin with. Also the fact that the writers would've been very upfront if he was an asshole prior to losing his arm.

The show does actually give us a glimpse of what Mandroid used to be like and that's during his conversation with Dot in Age of Evolution.

He's calm and polite to her, even after she punches and insults him. Notice how he has none of his usual smugness when talking to her. It's also the only time he smiles normally. His character was the perfect chance to explore the themes ES wanted to do, but the writers blew it.

Just finished Earthspark 😮‍💨 haven't felt this betray by an animated show since Voltron. And season one was so good, it is still one of my favorite pieces of Transformers series. I'm just going to ignor seasons two and three since most of the fandom seem to be doing that too.

However I want to rant about my only major complain about season one that I wish they fixed in season two.

They should have made GHOST rogue agents villains in season two instead of Cons. Like hear me out on this, they spent the whole season showing that there are many people that hate Transformers being on earth and even if they don't hate them they can still direct microaggressions towars them. And yet Croft and Mandroid were apperently only evil members of GHOST. They even had like 2 agents show up during the final battle to help Terrans and I really don't like this. It's giving "the system was broken but now those at the very top are dead so everything is okay" which is not how you should end a story that comments on rasism and prejudices.

In season two they should have got a group of agents that worked with Croft be at least minor antagonist. Have them steal Mandroid tech and pose some form of a threat, attack a Cybertronian that was just living somewhere outside Witwicky or something

Anyway, I will be writing a fix it fics and this will be a plot point

Transformers: Earthspark brainworms rn

What if Bee got put under Mandroid's control? GAH ITS EATING ME UP THINKING ABOUT IT

inspired by asimp4bee's (I think I spelled that right) art I saw with the same theory, and the song Control by Halsey

This also includes Breakbee! Ig it's like a situationship but actually they're terrible at feelings and Bee is like “am I not enough for him” and when shit goes down later Breakdown is like “damn I gotta step up fr” (this is probably a terrible explanation and for that I am sorry)

Also this accidentally became an exploration of Jawbreaker and Bee's relationship (AS SIBLINGS!!! I just think that in a way they complement each other and I wanna explore it) (It's probably me just projecting my neurodiversity onto them tbh)

This is like really bee-centric, more than I originally intended for it to be. I wanted it to gauge the terrans’ reactions to losing their brother/mom#2 (this is an inside joke pls don't flame me for it), then it became me wanting that twink mentally obliterated (and studying the journey of healing through family support after the inevitable crash out)

So here's a little drabble? Of me fleshing out the introduction of my ideas a bit more so I have a basic outline of where to go with the fic I'm planning! This has some dark themes (TW: suicidal ideation, kidnapping, torture, violence, harming of children, crazy how most of this is canon typical)

Basically this is set right after the kids break Bee and co out of the G.H.O.S.T cells, he tries one last time to get Breakdown to join them, and is rejected. So Bee goes home with the kids, and after a bit, making sure they're okay and under supervision of their family, he goes back alone to try and get Breakdown to join him again, the first place he looks being back at the facility, hoping he might still be there, but he knew he wouldn't, it was his dumb optimism saying there might have still been a chance.

Of course heading back there first was a bad idea. Probably the shittiest call he could make. He immediately gets recaptured and those G.H.O.S.T fuckers torture him and demonstrate their new mind control technology, trying to break the bot mentally and turn him into a weapon for their own personal/military use. When the big battle happens, he's sent out and,,,,

The terrans are so happy to see him, they missed their brother figure (jokingly their mom#2) and could really use his help and possibly Breakdown's, if he succeeded in his mission, in the fight. He told them he was going back to try and get more recruits, he'd be gone for no longer than a day, but if it takes longer, not to worry. It's been two weeks. (Or however it happened canonically, idk. I haven't actually watched the show in a month so this original setup probably doesn't make sense, really just writing to write here)

But when they get a closer look, he seems so worn down and tired and small. Trying to appear angry and bitter and intimidating, but it looked so fake and they didn't know why he wasn't easing up upon seeing the terrans again, until they see that cold, emotionless white in his optics.

They can't believe it. He’s not wearing a G.H.O.S.T badge. Maybe he's playing an ill-timed prank.

“That's not funny, Bee”

“We need your help”

“You're scaring me”

“Please stop”

“Bee?”

They notice the flicker of blue and the horrid screech-click of a failing vocalizer. The way his body trembles and his arm plating shakes with the effort to keep it from transforming into his stinger.

A last-ditch effort on his end, he turns on his radio with a slurry of static.

“C-an't help thi-sssssssss- should be sk- scared -f me-!”

The terrans are a mix of horrified and worried. They know they should move, run away, some catch up fast enough and do that, having to drag others. Jawbreaker just can't. That's his favorite person, his confidant, his older brother.

“Back-back-ba-ckhss… up!” It was the only semblance of himself that he seemed to have somewhat control of, and he clung to it. The terrans needed to know he didn't mean anything he was going to do.

Jawbreaker did move, a few disbelieving steps away, not fast enough to dodge the hand landing on his chest to move him away, too harshly for anyone's comfort.

Bumblebee was tearing himself up to try and fight for control. It hurt, it hurt so much, he almost wanted to sink into that awful bliss the chip in his back offered. But he couldn't, those were his mentees, his kids. He'd kill himself if he ever brought harm to them.

He wondered if the chip would stop him if he tried now. Maybe he could fry his circuits if he kept pushing against the breaching walls of code. Maybe he could shoot himself or something.

With that thought his arm finally transformed and the kids booked it. He couldn't stop himself from aiming at them and landed a few painful shots. He begged for forgiveness as he lost himself, giving up and letting the parasite fully enter him.

All this for Breakdown, and he didn't even know if it was worth it to have gone back in the first place.
