It can be a struggle for trans people to find their way between being true to themselves, conforming to societies gender expectations for safety and comfort reasons ("passing") and dealing with gender dysphoria. That's why body positivity can be a tricky thing for trans individuals. Trans men and trans masculine may feel that they, especially, need to conform to the standarts of masculinity, to be tall (which we don't have in our control), to have a V shape and small hips (we can't change our bone structures) and muscular. It is perfectly fine if you are none of that - it's not an indicator of your gender identity if you are ripped or not, if you are slim or round, if you have 'curves'. You are the gender that you are. And different trans body shapes are still beautiful.

Just to vent real quick: I unfollowed #genderfluid bc I kept getting recommended anti-genderfluid posts written by assbutts using the tag. And i hate that I had to do that. But it was triggering af
I’m surprised, not because I don’t believe you but because I haven’t gotten a ton of posts like that myself (I’ve gotten like one or two). But I understand why you had to do that and it sucks. If it helps, here are some genderfluid and other LGBTQ+ blogs I’m following. Maybe following specific blogs instead of just the tag will help.

There are some others but it looks they haven’t posted in a while so I limited it to the active blogs. Hopefully some of this helps!

Hi, I'm sorry to bother you, but do you know of any way to deal with people being negative about other's bodies? I keep trying to find body positivity posts and people in the notes are very mean, so I'm not sure where else to turn. Do you know of any blogs or something that have just nice body positive stuff? I'm recovering from an eating disorder and it's really hard to deal with. (ps your blog is very nice and I hope you have a good day)
I’m really sorry about how much negativity there is on body positive posts :( I hate it, and it does get really hard to deal with.
Though it can be hard, try to avoid browsing the notes. If you do, then go on a blocking spree. Honestly, there’s a lot of people who actively go to the tag just to leave hate, so blocking them will probably cut down some of the negativity you see. I think instagram’s blocking system works better, and deleting comments is easy there, so a lot of body positive instas tend to be more positive, and if you have an insta I suggest looking into them!
IG
bodyposipanda (posts mostly about herself, but her reposts are trans inclusive and male inclusive)bopoboy (male inclusive; he’s a man)bopolena (very trans inclusive and male inclusive)my_life_without_ana
Tumblr
lenadirschel (very trans inclusive and male inclusive)transbodypositivity (trans & male inclusive, of course)curvesanddesirebody-pos-itiveimaginethisinstead
The ones I didn’t mark as trans/male inclusive aren’t necessarily exclusive, I just marked the ones I know for sure are trans inclusive and male inclusive.
I really hope that you’re able to get away from the negativity and start feeling better as soon as possible. I know that actually wanting to and trying to recover is really hard, so I’m super proud of you for taking those steps<3

Transfeminin people are often held to even higher standarts of femininity and beauty to be deemed 'acceptable' or 'passing' or 'pretty'. Society is so focused on trans bodys and the parts they have or don't have, the parts they 'lack' without ever considering the person inside. There is no wrong to gave a (trans) body. Cis women come in different shapes and sizes and that should be accepted. Trans women come in a variety of shapes and sizes, too. Whether it be tall or skinny or fat or disabled, they are all valid and all womens bodys.
