Coming out as trans can be confusing for the people in one's life who don't have much knowledge about transness. There will probably be a lot of assumptions being made about one's sexuality. The most common misconceptions are, that being trans is another form of sexuality, like being "level 10 gay". Or, if the person understands that sexuality and gender identity are different spectrums, many have heteronormative ideas of what sexuality one "should" have. "In order to be a ~real~ man/woman you should be heterosexual". The truth is that trans people, like all other people can have any sexual orientation. Being a non-hetero trans person is valid. There is no wrong was to be trans and to have a sexual orientation.

Non-binary people come in all different varieties, sizes, shapes. Enbys don't have to be slim and androgynous to be 'gender-nonconforming enough'. Like all other trans folks and people in general, they can be femme, masc, both, neither. And non-binary people don't owe anyone their time. For some it is okay to be asked polite questions, but they are not a lexicon. If you are non-binary and want to learn more about the topic, there are so many resources out there, just a mouse click away!

Very inspired by @aaronisaplant explorations with nail polish. Personally, I still have a hard time with ‘feminine’ gender expressions, but it is so helpful to see (trans) masc people express theirselves in that way. The more representation there is, the more normalized it becomes 💅⚧

Transfeminin people are often held to even higher standarts of femininity and beauty to be deemed 'acceptable' or 'passing' or 'pretty'. Society is so focused on trans bodys and the parts they have or don't have, the parts they 'lack' without ever considering the person inside. There is no wrong to gave a (trans) body. Cis women come in different shapes and sizes and that should be accepted. Trans women come in a variety of shapes and sizes, too. Whether it be tall or skinny or fat or disabled, they are all valid and all womens bodys.

It can be a struggle for trans people to find their way between being true to themselves, conforming to societies gender expectations for safety and comfort reasons ("passing") and dealing with gender dysphoria. That's why body positivity can be a tricky thing for trans individuals. Trans men and trans masculine may feel that they, especially, need to conform to the standarts of masculinity, to be tall (which we don't have in our control), to have a V shape and small hips (we can't change our bone structures) and muscular. It is perfectly fine if you are none of that - it's not an indicator of your gender identity if you are ripped or not, if you are slim or round, if you have 'curves'. You are the gender that you are. And different trans body shapes are still beautiful.

We define our identities, not our bodys. There is no right or wrong way to have a trans body! Our identities are valid whether we choose to undergo HRT or surgery - or we choose not to. What our bodys look like is nobody's business but our own.
