Trans-ish,

A term for for when someone's close to but not quite trans(transgender and/or transsex). This can be for a variety of reasons, including being both trans and cis, having fluid gender and/or multiple gender and not viewing all of them as making oneself trans, having a "non traditional" relationship with transness vs cisness do to cultural reasons and/or being intersex, having a unique relationship with transness do to be an alter in a system, questioning one's gender, any other experiences of near but not exact transness and/or transness with additional complexities to it.

Transfeminine-ish, and Transneutral-ish, and Transmasculine-ish

Transfeminine-ish - A term for for when someone's close to but not quite transfem. This can be for a variety of reasons, including being both transfem and other transition label, being a cis man who is transitioning(medically and/or socially) to a more feminine state, having fluid gender and/or multiple gender and not viewing all of them as making oneself transfem, having a "non traditional" relationship with transfemininity do to cultural reasons and/or being intersex, having a unique relationship with transfemininity do to be an alter in a system, questioning one's gender, any other experiences of near but not exact transfemininity and/or transfemininity with additional complexities to it.

Transneutral-ish - A term for for when someone's close to but not quite transneut. This can be for a variety of reasons, including being both transneut and other transition label, being a cis person who is transitioning(medically and/or socially) to a more neutral state, having fluid gender and/or multiple gender and not viewing all of them as making oneself transneut , having a "non traditional" relationship with transneutrality do to cultural reasons and/or being intersex, having a unique relationship with transneutrality do to be an alter in a system, questioning one's gender, any other experiences of near but not exact transneutrality and/or transneutrality with additional complexities to it.

Transmasculine-ish - A term for for when someone's close to but not quite transmasc. This can be for a variety of reasons, including being both transmasc and other transition label, being a cis woman who is transitioning(medically and/or socially) to a more masculine state, having fluid gender and/or multiple gender and not viewing all of them as making oneself transmasc, having a "non traditional" relationship with transmasculinity do to cultural reasons and/or being intersex, having a unique relationship with transmasculinity do to be an alter in a system, questioning one's gender, any other experiences of near but not exact transmasculinity and/or transmasculinity with additional complexities to it.

Someone has actually already made terms under the same name, the definitions are different, however if you want to you can used these as alt flags, fem/neut/masc

Idk who needs to hear this but take that early transition girl out. Dress her up all pretty and assure her that anyone who dares to say a negative word will have to contend with you. Do her makeup and gently talk her through the steps, do one eye for her and let her try the other one on her own. Kiss her lips and watch the way she grins like a maniac at the imprint that her black lipstick leaves behind. Take her out to the movies or to the mall, walk around and buy her a pair of good boots without letting her look at the price tag, watch the way she smiles shyly and swoons even while insisting she doesn't need them. Tell her 'My love. You loved them instantly and they had your size- it's fate, they're meant to be yours,' and then help her sit down in one of the mall chairs to put them on, watch the way she prances around in them like an excited little girl.

Hold her hand and talk to the lady at Rue 21 for her because you know she's insecure about her voice. Go in the dressing room with her and gently help her into the skirt she was eyeing- one foot, a second, shimmy, shimmy, up- followed by a wonderfully soft sweater that falls just right over her frame. Hug her from behind while she looks in the mirror and feels beautiful, basking in her euphoria. Whisper into her ear how proud you are of her- how brave she is, how beautiful, how honored you are to be able to share this journey with her.

Take her to dinner and kiss her while you wait for your food, run your hands down her freshly shaven arms and gently caress over the back of her neck. Offer her some of your ramen while you take a bite of her fried rice, and clumsily attempt to feed her a bite of sushi with some chopsticks.

And then. Take her home, with all the bags that now hold the beginnings of her new wardrobe, and help her hang them up, try them on. Let her have a fashion show and gently wipe her makeup off before sleep. Kiss her and caress her and shower her with affection, with praise and love and adoration. Let her melt into your arms and if she cries let the tears soak into your shirt. Gently caress her hair and say 'its okay, baby girl. I love making you feel beautiful,'

Happy tdov to fat trans people. 🏳️‍⚧️ Biggest thing that helped me as a trans kid was seeing older fat trans people. There were a lot of really irritating "advice" posts going around early in my time on the internet with a lot of misinformation in them, but one that I constantly saw (in addition to people claiming you should wear your pants rediculously low or only wear button ups) were posts saying you had to lose weight to transition. Can confidently confirm that is completely untrue. 👍

Trans Curly headcanons are fascinating to me cause like… Jimmy would resent him more for it.

Masculinity is a weird underlying thing in their dynamic where Jimmy feels inferior to Curly about not only their job positions but roles in life. The idea that Curly is the better man who also made himself such would be such a blow to Jimmy’s already fragile and unstable ego. Like it’s not just that he’s just transphobic, he hates Curly’s ability to craft himself into what he wants to be successfully, it not about Curly being afab but Curly still being the better man.

But then he wouldn’t get the self image issues one can face, feeling like an imposter in a space you wanted to be in or even scared to be there. He’d just think Curly always gets what he desires and thinks nothing of it like he always has.
