Fuck everything I'm projecting onto characters

Chuuya has really bad periods to the point where every movement hurts but he wants yo fo stuff and work but can't because Mori orders him to stay home during those days so he's left frustrated, in pain, emotional, and nauseous and often cries which makes him mote nauseous and he throws up. Dazai often comes to visit and take care of his apartment because it being dirty makes him feel worse and although Dazai is a slimy bastard he cares and understands that it's a shitty week and will be until menopause hits. Dazai has to walk a tightrope of trying to find the right amount of asshole where it doesn't seem like he's babying Chuuya but also where he isn't being too much of an asshole and causing him misery

Yugi is basically hyperventilating for most of his periods because it takes a long time for pain meds to kick in for him so he is hyperaware of his body and the pain he is in and every single movement he makes and his muscles clenching and unclenching and everything about him. His friends and family try to comfort him and distract him but he is aware of how they're trying to distract him so their efforts often fail. Ironic process truly is a bitch, especially when it comes to Yugi and his tendency to overthink

Kinda wonder what Yugi did on his 18th birthday. Like, bro was 18 in DSOD, yes??? Probably. He could've been 17 I suppose. But the general fan idea is that he was 18.

So what did he do????????

Before I explain what I think, I have to explain that the timeline of the series has got to be over at least 2 years, right? So Atem was at least there for one birthday party? Maybe even his 17th?

So not to be angsty (is about to get pretty angsty here in a sec, suffer) but Gramps would probably hold a party at the game shop, just him and the gang attending (Anzu, Jou, Honda, and probably Duke.) Kaiba probably sent a birthday present of 10% off a ticket to Kaibaland XD - But he's got a balloon arch and a Duel Monsters cake, and Gramps gives him some booster packs, Jou forgot to get a present (and promptly gets kicked in the shin by Anzu + scolded) Honda made him a mini Kuriboh out of welded bolts (probably flat, perhaps 3d), and Anzu got him a big kiss on the cheek (probably flirty, but not necessarily implying they're dating) as well as some really comfy binders (T4T BESTIES!!!!!!!). And he seems happy, he truly, truly does. But everything reminds him of Atem. The cards, the game shop, the kindness, the togetherness. It just...feels like something, or rather, someone, integral is missing. Atem, of course. And he knows that. Too well. He's cried himself to sleep several nights. He's felt empty. He's looked at food and gagged. (He is visibly skinnier) You don't just lose someone you knew intimately and heal immediately. It takes months. Years. And even then, you never heal. You just bandage the wounds.

He loves and appreciates his friends and Gramps. But it's just not enough.

When they go out on the town, and he's finally able to buy adult comics or go into a nightclub, it's still not enough. It's just never enough.

And they all know. He doesn't know, but they know. They can see right through him. As per usual.

ive realised why i liked yugioh so much as a kid and have such fond memories of this (arguably shitty) tv show

yugi is almost the spitting mental image of who i am now; trans allegory, goth, consistently talking with a more emo side of his personality who has terrible memory loss and is actually over 3000 years old and has unforseen knowledge of the past, unreasonably short, etc.

When Yugi moves to a new town to start over after coming out as trans he meets a guy named Atemu.

Yugi's P.O.V

I sigh as a I button up my uniform. /okay yugi you got this you and grandpa moved here to start over so you could be you and to get away from dad./ I grab my back back rushing down the stairs. "Yugi my boy what's the rush?" I smile "sorry grandpa I'm just so excited!" I say before grabbing a piece of toast walking out of our apartment and onto the streets of domino. I take a deep breath. /okay off to sc-/ I yelp as I run into something falling backwards onto the ground. "Sorry are you alright?!" I look up going wide eyed seeing a boy who looks kinda like me standing over me with his hand out. "Sorry I wasn't paying attention and I ran right into you are you alright?" I gulp. Looking in his eyes their so red like ruby's I feel my heart beat in my ears. "Excuse me I said are you alright?" He ask again I barely hear him. I take a deep breath taking his hand as he pulls me up off the ground like it was nothing. "I'm very sorry again." He says he looks at me "oh you have my school uniform on!" "Do you go to domino high?" I nod not trusting my voice. /man this guy is attractive/ "I'm Atemu by the way! Most of my friends call me Yami though." "I-I'm Yugi" I say trying to smile at him. "Are you new?" "I don't remember seeing you" he asks beginning to walk ahead. I follow "yeah I just moved here with my grandpa" I say "your a freshman I presume?" He asks I blush "no! I'm a junior!" Atemu looks at me shocked "sorry you just look so young.." I sigh "I know I look not so mature for my age I get that a lot but jeez.." I huff walking ahead of him. "Sorry! I didn't mean to offend you!" He says catching up to me. I roll my eyes "hmm" I say walking up to the school and inside to the the office to get my schedule.

Atemu's P.O.V

I shake my head as Joey scarfs his fries down "Joey your gonna choke be careful" I say before looking up seeing yugi walk in grabbing his tray standing in the middle of the room looking for a place to sit. I stand up walking over to him. "Hey yugi!" He looks at me annoyed "oh hi" "look I didn't mean to offend you earlier and I'm sorry..but do you want to sit with me and my friends?" He looks at me his eyes lighting up. "Yes!" He says smiling. I smile back grabbing his hand pulling him to the table. He sits down next to me. "Hey guys this is yugi! Yugi this is Joey, Tristan, Ryou, and Teà!" Yugi waves shyly. "Nice to meet you all." I sigh starting to ear my food i lol noticing yugi is shifting uncomfortably and rubbing his ribs.

No one's P.O.V

Atemu not thinking places his hand on yugis thigh. Yugi jumps looking at him. "Hey are you okay?" Atemu asks. Yugi nods. " I'm fine. Don't worry about me." He says eating his burger. Atemu looks at him unconvinced but doesn't push it.

"Um…" He looked away. "Ok. Well. I don't usually…do…this so often. Usually once a week, maybe a couple of times a week. But, uh. You just. You seemed really uncomfortable being in a body that didn't have a, you know, a um. You know." It was adorable how flustered Yugi was getting.

"A dick?"

"Yeah! Yes. Yeah."

Yami curled his finger, moaning and letting his head fall gently against the back of the tub.

"Ah…you're so hot," Yugi muttered, and Yami felt another wave of heat bloom in his stomach. "Think you wanna try the vibrator?"

Yami nodded his head, incapable of coherent speech. After another moment, he held his hand out. "P-please. Please, Yugi."

Yugi took the hand and smiled. "You're so precious," he whispered as he pulled the bangs away from Yami's face. When the spirit's grip began to tighten, he kissed his hand. "It's ok baby, you got this." He noticed tears forming in Yami's eyes, sharp, sobbing gasps escaping him.

Yami used his other hand to claw at his thigh, overwhelmed. "I c-can't," he sobbed. "It's so much."

"You're almost there. Almost there. Come on Yami, almost there." And, without thinking about the spirit's earlier sensitivity, he moved his free hand to press down on the dark clit.

(Erm. I love all elements in this fic equally. [This is my favorite part])

"Mmmm." Yami opened his eyes, blinking lazily at his aibou. He watched the movements as if from far away, purring as Yugi toweled him off as if he was drying a tired kitten. He quite enjoyed being treated softly by his aibou. "Thank you," he mumbled.

I shared this with some of the discord chats I’m in but I cannot stop thinking about it so I’m gonna share this with y’all too.

So as some of y’all know, I big headcanon Yugi as trans and the other day I remembered reading a (supposedly) true story somewhere (I think it was tumblr??) about a trans guy using a public restroom and I just...

Yugi is on his period and has to use the bathroom at school, so obviously he goes to the men’s restroom and, thinking it’s empty, goes to take care of business.

Except it’s not empty.

So he’s sitting in the stall and opens up a pad (and for those who don’t know, that packaging is fucking loud) and Jou, who was in one of the far stalls the whole time, hears it and says, “Damn bro, it must be a helluva shit if ya brought snacks.”

AND I CAN’T FUCKING GET OVER THE IMAGE OF THAT BEING ONE OF THEIR FIRST INTERACTIONS

And afterwards Jou, who has zero experience with period products, starts offering to carry pads and tampons with him in case Yugi or anyone else runs out, especially since there’s no dispenser for those things in the men’s restroom.  So he goes and picks up some stuff on his way home and I 100% believe this would be his reaction:
