Still thinking about when I made my own Ken. Like I was positive it was out of a doll originally called “Mallory” but now I’m wondering if that’s just what I’d named the doll before this doll became Ken.

I know it was the teen skipper line specifically that this happened with so it was probably this one.

I didn’t know anything about trans gender at the time I just knew this wasn’t a girl doll. So I chopped all the hair off, shorter than weird Barbie, and slapped some Ken clothes on. Boom. Had a new ken, and from then on, this was a Ken. I tried cutting the boobs off but never figured out a way to remove them and I didn’t have patience for sand paper so he still had boobs. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m giving one of my dolls top surgery and my mum comes in asking what the hell I’m doing to my barbie and I said I’m making him a ken and she says why I don’t just buy a ken doll? I said it more fun to make one and that got me thinking, is this why whatever god up there made me trans. Is the process of creation more fun and rewarding then just getting it?

hi i don't know if anybody's posted about this because it just happened last night, but the texas dps quietly decided to start making what is effectively a database of trans people as of just last night as per ken paxton's request. which is obviously a horrible idea

i don't really know how to do politics or what all to tag this as but let's not let this go quietly yeah?? id assume the next course of action would be to storm your reps and paxton's inboxes. maybe also the dps?? idk someone who knows this stuff better should help give a clearer idea of where to go from here if that's cool

I don't know who needs to hear this, but: If you're a man -whether you've been one all your life or just recently started to notice within yourself the need to become one- that's enough.

You don't have to pass a test, there is no quiz, you don't have to check a minimum amount of gender role boxes. No one can tell you HOW to be a man. It doesn't matter how you look or how your body looks, how you talk, how you act, how you behave, what your sexuality is. You don't even have to fit in with the other guys. If being a man feels right for you, you can say "This is me and I'm a man".

The gender police will never knock on your door. Your gender is your own business and no one else's. No one can tell you what a man can or can't do. There is no wrong way to be a man. Be the kind of man you want to be, the kind that sparks joy. You can do it, bro. I believe in you.
