A Gintama chapter a day keeps the ending away...Lesson 326

MY 10 15 FAVORITE MOMENTS IN LESSON 326:

(I failed again: I couldn’t just choose 10 moments…)

I still cannot decide if this was a better look for him or not. It’s like still losery but in a different way?

I wanted to give Hijikata a hug. He must have felt so alone and scared.

Jimmy-zaki kinda deserved that.

This dynamic straight man duo. 

This was so OOC for Kagura I couldn’t stop laughing. Even they ever were to get together, I am almost positive Kagura-chan would not be this damselly around Pachi-kun.

He looks good even when all bloody. I LOVE that cape on him!

The quickly birthed baby was shocking…

…but this development was even more shocking.

I actually loved Hijikata even more for wanting to keep the baby and raise it by himself. Ok, that’s kinda cold to Tae-chan, but he didn’t want to hurt Kondou so I give him points for that too.

The reason I could never ship Hijikata and Otae: if they ever got together, it would literally BREAK Kondou, as evidenced here.

I never considered that Kondou and Tae-chan getting together would completely break Kyuubei until this arc.

OMG I LOVED THIS SO MUCH!!! Especially since the father of her gori-baby is the Shinsengumi gorilla himself. 

Shinpachi’s such a party pooper. I liked the soap opera that was going on.

The hero reappears.

 Damn he looked good. But then again, Gintoki looks good no matter what.

SHIPS TALLY:

Okita x Kagura: he literally appeared out of nowhere to save Kagura from Shinpachi’s slap. I was so damn happy I wish the arc would never end.

Shinpachi x Kagura: she’s way out of his league but I can see it happening. Disdain Affection can turn into romantic love. I don’t really ship them but I can be on board for it.

Hijikata x Otae: as usual, I love Kondou too to want this to happen, not to mention I don’t think I can believe Hijikata would ever do that to him, but I respect those who support this ship and I’m sure this must have made them so happy.

Hijikata x Okita: Sougo was way too sweet to make any of that believable, but it was still adorable.

Kondou x Zura: I am completely fine with these two natural enemies shacking up together and having babies even if it is biologically impossible.

Disclaimer: Gintama is not only about shipping. Gintama is hilarious, clever, exciting, poignant, heart-breaking, loving, brilliant, and just so freaking amazing.  It is only due to Sorachi-sama’s generosity that I can enjoy Gintama on yet another level, the shippy level, and I am forever grateful for that. GINTAMA IS LIFE AND LOVE.
