Grian's tired.

She's tired of this, and she's tired of being scared about telling the hermits she's not a "he", she hasn't been one in a while, actually.

She tells her awesome boyfriend, Mumbo, first, hoping for a positive reaction

Whether or not it's positive is kinda up for debate, as Mumbo almost panics out of guilt. Grian has to grab his face and get him to sit down, tell him he doesn't need to worry about anything in the past.

Mumbo reassures Grian that he loves her just how she is, and that the hermits would totally understand if she wanted to tell them. Grian doesn't think she's ready for that yet, but is grateful for Mumbo's support.

I like the idea of Gri being trans but I think it’s way funnier if everyone thought he was trans but he doesn’t care to correct anyone. Like:

Grian: Finally we're on the last one. I've officially been going at this for 10 minutes now. You know what? I'm gonna give this angel a piece of my mind. Actually, having said that, the statue at spawn was also a woman and that one is also a woman with wings. So I'm starting to think that the Watchers depict themselves as angels but whether they actually are I don't know? But they seem to be definitely female.

Grian and Xisuma exploring each others' bodies, but not in a sexual way. Finding their different birthmarks, looking over each others' scars and sharing the stories behind them, running their hands over one another and just appreciating the feeling of the other person next to them.

Xisuma has a wider variety of scars, some long and narrow, others short and wide, and more a mix of everything. They're old and new, a result of clumsiness or misfortune. He's come to peace with them all, considering them his legacy for how far he's come.

Grian is far more reserved about his scars. The long one on his back with wings used to spread, the one's scattering across his body from not so good memories, even the ones on his chest that should bring him joy feel like a bitter reminder of everything he isn't. X does his best to kiss those feelings away.

had a thought yesterday i shared with a friend but i think some people might like it!

trans grian whos a bit jealous of scar who doesnt seem to have any dysphoria. scar doesnt wear a binder and he doesnt care about how hes presenting to most people. he cares about his friends who know hes a guy and thats all that matters to him.

grian on the other hand has horrible dysphoria, especially when it comes to his chest. grian struggling to get out of a binder and having to ask someone to help. he considers mumbo but mumbo isnt trans as far as he knows and he feels weird about people seeing him without his binder, especially his cis friends. he still feels uncomfortable when messaging scar to help but he knows scar wont care. he knows mumbo or any of the others also wouldnt care but its about the fact that scar is trans and can understand. somewhat.

maybe grian admits one time hes jealous of scar. scar asks him why. "because you dont have dysphoria. or at least it looks like you dont".

and to scar thats very bittersweet.

hes lucky to not experience dysphoria but the reasons why are... less then pleasant. he had no one when growing up to compare himself to, there were no gender roles and there was nothing to make him dysphoric. he was just him and thats all that mattered. the zombies didnt care what he was, after all.
