border collies took a while to get to my area - they came hand in hand with scaling of farming and modern crossbred, more docile sheep. I've read articles stating they had their main popularization in the 1950s, but probably slightly later here - my mother was born in 57 and she remembers when the dog on a farm was a buhund type more often than not. i know farmers whose families have kept sheep for centuries - our group of farms is over 300 years old and considered newish - they themselves have been at it since the fifties or sixties, and they just... never tried a working sheepdog. never got around to it. didn't grow up with it, didn't see the point.

on the other hand, i also know farmers that have kept loads of border collies, two or three at a time for decades. but recently, more farmers have been switching back to traditional breeds of sheep. and everyone i know who's done that, they've also quit border collies.

OC Outfit Tag Game

Thank you @talesofsorrowandofruin for the Tag (HERE). I've been meaning to put together an Artwork Comission Sheet for Lizzy Hail for a while now, and this was just the kick I needed to complete it. I figured, if I was looking up clothing anyway, I might as well finish something on my todo list :D

With that in mind, I'm going to do two versions of Lizzy. Her clothing in Arbaon, and her clothing now she's been in the mortal realm for a few months ^_^

What stays with Lizzy, no matter what, is her pendant. It's introduced in the first chapter on Changeling. It was her mothers, but her mum got it from Lizzy's father. And, as far as Lizzy knows, it's the only thing she has that belonged to her dad.

I was doing a roleplay-heavy playthrough of PokemonPureBlue, a really neat romhack of the original GB games. I wanted to have my trainer age a few years over the course of his adventure, gaining confidence and progressing further in his transition as time went on-- illustrated through team photos upon acquiring each badge!

Unfortunately I let this one fall by the wayside before I could even finish the cascade badge pic... ah well. Maybe I'll pick it up again some other time.

Question with people with better ears than I do:

I was trying to take a quick listen on some tracks from game and I thiiiink (I am not 100% sure) but in the moment just after Kieran's loss, yanno, the ex-champion moment, the music starts with a snippet out of initial Kieran's battle theme, just a few notes that later starts to loop after being overlaid with more electronic notes (I am unsure if that instrument appeared anywhere else on OST so I don't find significance of those), so it's two notes from Kieran's initial theme just looping, over and over. Which matches nicely his slowly shattering sanity and reality sinking in through his disassociation.

I am just hearing things that aren't there?

//OOC: Grimsley started greying at a fairly early age. He probably found his first grey hair when he was 21/22. He’s pretty self conscious about this because people tend to assume he’s older than he is anyways.

He also tends to have pretty prominent eye bags, which he’ll often cover up with concealer. His eye bags are more noticeable after a bad bout of insomnia.

He dyes his hair for fun, but now it’s also somewhat turned into covering up any greying that might be happening.

we got this 15 min video of half these seiyuu telling either a truth or a lie to the theme of the ‘number 6’ (anniversary!!!!) and what came up was kinda interesting lol

the ones in charge of telling either a truth or lie were 0️⃣1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣🎋🍮🥂 and the rest had to vote on who was lying!!!! so the stories they told were

0️⃣: he was once scouted to be a professional baseball player. due his skills he would have been part of the clean up (baseball heavy hitters) and was offered the jersey number 6

1️⃣: he raised 6 cats in his youth and one of them was named gianko

2️⃣: in six months he gained 6kg

3️⃣: because he’s from osaka, he’s very attached to rokko related things (rokko range is near osaka, and uses the kanji for six in the name so he’s still on theme lol)

🎋: he finds it’s much easier to consume bread if it’s cut into six pieces

🍮: there is a movie he’s watched six times because the details seemed a little different on each watch

🥂: before bed, he’s eaten six pinot gris grapes

the seiyuu in the back all voted that ishiya-san and kuroda-san were lying but it turns out that only ishiya-san was lying!!!!! (6 truths 1 lie lmao) apparently he only gained 5kg in 6 months lol
