Throwback Thursday: Train ticket from Trenton to Princeton via the Pennsylvania Railroad, December 8, 1883. Though we haven't been able to find 1883 fares, we do know fares went up to three cents per mile for first class passengers or 2.5 cents per mile for second class passengers in 1876, making the first class journey 38 cents and the second class trip 32 cents.

Jeez how the train was packed today! Anyway, my dad was waiting for me at the station and also paid for my train ticket for next week (thank God because I don't exactly have extra money rn). There was a really nice lady at the counter, such a sunny person. Idk but that actually made my day
