If you have not learned

to use our resources

responsibly--

if you exploit, steal, take advantage--

maybe you do not deserve

to use them at all.

Like a child

who has abused his toys;

they must be

taken away.

 Our common spaces,

Ocean, Land, Air,

we share.

 The Ocean is for everyone:

take only the fish

that you need,

and be mindful

of what you dump into it.

 The Land is for everyone:

leave the trees, they help us,

and you only require

so much space.

 The Air is for everyone:

use cars sparingly

to reduce your carbon footprint,

and be mindful

of what you pump into it.

 Respect these commons

which we all share.

Use our resources responsibly,

or soon,

they will be gone.

Would it be posible for the experienced MPs to institute a regular, more substantive orientation for newly elected MPs?
