Pili2 Lore Yapping after todays Orangecat events and the soon end of the Jester ( 😭😭😫😫😫🥲🥲🥲) :

The king and Owen were 2 of the only ones to truly get and accept Pili2, when the Jester leaves and something happens to the king, regardless of if it’s successful or not, the King and kingdom members might loose trust in Pili. Or he might feel more isolated from the kingdom even though he just got in. I can’t imagine what he will do next. He’s been so silly with a level of careless ness to everything he’s done on the server so far, and hasn’t felt any true heartbreak or pain here yet. Almost as if what was here on the server didn’t matter because it’s not permanent, it’s not his home. But after this and realizing that he actually did care about some one here and actually got hurt here for once I feel like his character will fundamentally change… 🥲💔

What if Pili2 finally starts to have some unwanted sympathy towards pangis former situation because now they have both experienced accidentally falling for some one who was destined to leave them behind 🫠😀…

Summary: your boyfriend and your cat don't get along, they hate each other. When you have to travel for work and there is no one else to take care of your cat except for Tommy, you can't help but worry. What will you find when you return?

Warning: mentions of past animal abuse (not anymore), the cat gets sick, Tommy swears as usual, etc. If some of this might trigger you, don't read. There are mentions of smut but no real smut.

Tommy was very good with horses. Sometimes, just to tease him, you liked to call him 'Horse Whisperer Tommy'. He didn't find it funny at all. The truth is that he didn't get along so well with cats. 

At least, this man was incapable of getting along with yours. And it was funny because most of the time he reminded you of an angry cat himself, the rest of the time too, being honest. Sometimes, when you were on the couch watching a movie with Tommy lying on your chest and you scratched the back of his head right where his hair was shorter, you would swear you could hear him purring, melting under your touch. 

Your cat liked to make things difficult. The first time Tommy stayed over at your house, the cat took the space on the bed between the two of you, making it clear which was her territory and that you were hers. Every time he tried to get closer to you he was met with an outstretched paw that pushed him to the opposite side of the bed. You thought it was funny, he not so much. When you woke up you found Tommy's suit jacket full of orange hairs, crumpled on the floor. To this day the jacket still had traces of cat hair.

Moreover, how could you forget the day when Tommy was working on his laptop from your house and the cat bit the corner of the screen? Needless to say, Tommy couldn't continue working on whatever he was doing, which pissed him off so much, because the device stopped working. Your cat spent the rest of the day with a satisfied expression on her round face.

The rest of the time, the poor creature just hissed at Tommy every time she saw him. Eventually, she ended up accepting that neither of them were going to disappear from your life. At least you hoped it wouldn't happen in a long time. 

From the bedroom you heard your boyfriend talking, his deep voice too low to understand his words. You assumed that he would be talking on the phone, always busy with work, even in his sleep he kept mumbling meaningless phrases. 

You headed to the kitchen, after a long day at work you couldn't wait any longer to have dinner. Your cat appeared out of nowhere and began to walk between your legs, creating infinity shapes and wrapping her long tail around your calf. You bent down to scratch her belly when she leaned on the floor in the middle of the kitchen.

"You're so cute," you said in a childish voice, earning a sideways glance from Thomas, full of resentment.

"Cute my balls," he spat.

The cat looked at you with her eyes wide open, as if she were asking you ‘did you hear what he said?’ You jumped to your feet and put your hands on your hips, looking at Tommy with a raised eyebrow. "May I know what's the matter with you?" 

“Your cat, Y/N,” he muttered, turning to you with his hand in front of his face. On the back of it was a deep cut, no, it was a scratch. "Look what the evil’s spawn has done to me."

You glanced at the cat one last time, she looked back at you and licked her paw innocently. Letting out a sigh, you took Tommy's hand in yours to inspect the wound.

"What have you done to make her do this?" you asked cautiously.

He responded with a huff. "Nothing. She came out of nowhere and jumped at me with her claws out."

You nodded in silence and began to disinfect his hand. Your cat was like that, she didn't like men. Actually, she only liked you. Sometimes you wondered if her bad attitude was due to her previous owners, who didn't treat her very well. The thought of someone mistreating your cat filled you with sadness as well as anger. Fucking bastards.

“I’m sorry,” you whispered, to him and to her, a tinge of sadness in your voice which didn't go unnoticed to Tommy.

When you finished covering his scratch with a bandaid, Tommy grabbed you hand in his and gave it a loving squeeze before continuing placing the food on the dinner table.

You had always liked animals, when you were little you weren’t allowed to have pets because your brother was allergic to them. So, the moment you got a job in the city and moved out on your own, the first thing you did was go to the nearest shelter to adopt a kitten.

That was the initial idea, to bring a small cat home and raise it. However, when you saw the sad eyes of the orange cat watching you from inside her cubicle, you had the feeling that you were predestined to end up together. She was already an adult cat at that time but that didn't matter to you.

At the shelter they briefly told you that her former owners, whoever they were, had mistreated her and left her abandoned, half dead in a garbage can. A homeless man searching through the trash found her and took her there, where she was taken care of until she luckily recovered. You couldn't be more grateful to that stranger who cared enough to rescue her. Unfortunately, two years had passed since then and no one had wanted to adopt her. 

She instantly won your heart. You took her home and named her Cat, like Holly Golightly's cat in Breakfast at Tiffany's. Plus, both of them looked alike. Of course, Tommy complained that it was a ridiculous name for a cat, similar as if he called one of his horses Horse.

A couple of weeks after the scratching incident with Tommy, you were notified that you had to travel to another city for a week on behalf of the company you worked for, which was great because it gave you the opportunity to explore new places. The disadvantage was that your cat was old and had to take a pill every day, for life. You didn't trust anyone to leave them in charge of such a task, but not going on the company trip would mean losing the opportunity to receive a promotion in the coming months. You didn't know what to do but you had an idea.

That night Tommy was going to visit you, so you would make him a suggestion.

After having dinner, Tommy and you started kissing passionately. Everything with him was very intense. His warm, calloused hands ran along your sides under your shirt, leaving a trail of goosebumps over your soft skin. Your fingertips scratched the shaved sides of his hair and he let out a moan, pressing his lips harder against yours, never breaking the contact. 

You were starting to feel his bulge growing against your crotch, so you moved your hips against him, enjoying the friction. Now you were the one who let out a moan of pleasure.

“Fuck,” he murmured, burying his face in your neck as he panted. "Can't you make her leave, or at least make her stop staring at me like that?"

You looked at him slightly confused, following his gaze to the cardboard box where Cat was lying with her head resting on the edge of it, watching you without blinking. It didn't matter how many beds you bought her, none could beat the cardboard box. Rolling your eyes, you placed a hand on your boyfriend's face and caressed his sharp cheekbone, trying to get him to focus on you again.

"Just ignore her. Look at me," you said softly, kissing his jaw.

Tommy pulled away from you and sat on the sofa, running a hand over his face. "I can't, love. She's looking at me, killing my mood." He shrugged, looking sick.

You sighed, mentally saying goodbye to any possibility of Tommy fucking the hell out of you. "How bold she is, daring to look down on the great Thomas Michael Shelby."

He gave you a wide eyed look before frowning. "Are you making fun of me? Hey, where do you think you're going? Taking the beast to another room?"

"I'm going to get some water."

Once in the kitchen you took a couple of deep breaths, gathering the courage to talk to him. It was your opportunity to convince him to stay with Cat. You returned to the living room and sat next to him, crossing your legs on the sofa.

"Tommy, do you remember my work trip?"

He looked at you with a blank face for a few seconds until a spark of knowledge shone at the back of his eyes. "Yes, you're going away for a week. Is that right?"

You nodded, biting your lip. "Can I ask you a favor?"

His expression changed to one of suspicion. Usually you didn't ask for things, you didn't hesitate, so he knew you were about to ask him to do something he wouldn't like.

"It depends".

"You have to come in the morning to feed Cat, but not too much because she eats it all and gets sick," Tommy opened his mouth to complain but you were faster, placing the palm of your hand over his lips before continuing. "At night you come back and give her the pill with a bit of soft food, you have to pay attention and make sure she has swallowed it, okay? Also,  change her water, because when she has it for more than a day she won’t drink it."

He gave you a small kiss on the palm of your hand. You removed it and looked at him through your lashes, expectantly.

"Anything else?" he asked, feigning boredom. You smiled. It had been very easy, you hadn't even had to convince him.

"Yes! You have to clean up her cat litter."

The day of your trip, you left everything ready so that when he arrived at night, Tommy would find things easily. 

He opened your apartment door and stuck his head in doubtfully, there was no sign of the furry little beast. He was having flashbacks to the last time he stayed over, when Cat started running around the house making weird noises as if she was possessed by Satan himself. Tommy still felt chills remembering how the cat jumped into the bedroom moving sideways with her tail twisted while she howled. You couldn’t stop laughing, used to see your cat doing that almost every day, but Tommy kept saying that he witnessed a demonic possession that night.

But at that moment there were no howls or strange noises. In fact, everything was quiet. One of those silences that he had experienced so many times in his life before. The kind of silence that does not bode well. Tommy squared his shoulders, he wasn't going to get carried away by his superstitious ideas. It was just a cat. He would come in, give her the pill and some water, and then he would leave. Fast and clean. 

As he approached the corner where the hallway turned to the left at a ninety-degree angle he stopped. Your cat liked to hide there before jumping like a lion hunting for its prey on Tommy's legs. He still had the scar from the last bite, he didn't want to take another one.

This time he was prepared. With a quick movement he stood on the next section of the hallway. But there was nothing. Frowning and feeling a bit ridiculous, Tommy walked through the house looking for the little beast until he found her lying on the sofa.

The cat was curled up in a ball, her head resting on the armrest. Only her green eyes moved following Tommy's movements as he approached her. She seemed kind of off and Tommy couldn't help but feel a tinge of empathy.

“Do you miss Y/N too?” he asked out loud. The cat blinked weakly. "This place feels weird without her around, huh?" 

Tommy didn't know what to expect, some kind of reaction or something. The cat remained still, staring at the wall. He gave her one last glance, shrugging and heading to the kitchen. You had placed a note on the refrigerator door with more instructions, attached with a magnet in a miniature version of the Eiffel Tower that Tommy brought you from Paris. 

He ran his fingertips over your handwriting, thinking. He was going to take you to France the next time you had holidays. The rest of the refrigerator was covered with polaroids of you smiling at the camera, the two of you together, you with your friends and family... and the cat.

'Ah yes, the cat.' Tommy remembered, turning around.

The food and water bowls were full, as if she hadn't touched them all day. That was strange, the feeling of something not going right increased. Grabbing a clean bowl, Tommy put some soft food in it and inserted the pill, completely camouflaged, before placing it on the floor in front of the sofa. 

"Eat," he indicated authoritatively. 

He was a man used to being obeyed in everything, everyone did except you. You were the only one who could handle him like a rag doll and he wouldn’t complain. There was no doubt that this cat was yours, she didn't even look at the food.

Tommy grunted, losing his patience. He grabbed the bowl with one hand and the cat with the other, pushing them together as much as he could. The animal did not resist, after a few minutes a third of the food was gone, including the pill, but she refused to swallow more. "As you wish," he murmured, leaving the remains of food next to the other bowls.

When he looked into the small laundry room where you had the cat's litter box, his heart skipped a beat. Everything was a mess, the floor was full of poop and vomit.

"Fucking hell," he muttered under his breath. Then he returned to the living room, ready to give the cat the reprimand of her life but stopped short. He hadn't noticed before but there were also traces of vomit on the living room floor. "Shit."

Just then his phone started ringing. Your name appeared on the screen. He cleared his throat and answered.

"Hello Tommy" your voice sounded happy although somewhat tired. "How are you doing, honey?"

"Good. I gave the pill to the beast, don't worry. Are you okay?" He spoke as fast as he could, trying to move the conversation away from the cat. 

"Yeah, it's a little boring you know, all day in meetings and now they want to go to have dinner but I don't feel like going. I haven't been able to call you all day, as you can see  I haven't stopped.” You let out a small laugh. ”Hey Tommy, thanks for taking care of Cat. It means a lot to me. I have to go, they came to pick me up. I love you!"

You hung up the call before he could say anything back. Leaving the phone on the coffee table, he walked into the balcony, feeling the cold wind against his skin.

Tommy leaned on the balustrade as he lit a cigarette, smoking slowly. You didn’t like him smoking inside the house, or smoking in general, but that was his problem and you couldn’t change it. This way the balcony became his territory. Once he finished, he went back inside, closing the door behind him. The last thing he needed was the cat jumping out the window. 

He started cleaning everything the best he could while debating whether to call you again and tell you everything, that something was wrong with your cat, or try to fix it on his own. Yes, he would do that better. Tommy was a man of resources, he wasn't going to ruin your trip and worry you if he could take care of it.

After making sure everything was clean and the cat had food and water, he left your house, relieved that he wouldn't have to spend another second alone with that animal.

When he returned the next day and found both the food and water intact, he headed to the living room, where Cat was still lying in the same position as the day before. He felt his soul leaving his body. 

Tommy swallowed and sat on the couch next to the cat. He approached his hand slowly to touch her soft fur, expecting the cat to hiss like she always did when he got too close to her. That would mean everything was fine. But that didn’t happen, the feline's only reaction was shuddering and letting out a pitiful whimper so soft that if he hadn't been sitting next to her, Tommy wouldn't have heard it.

Shit, shit, shit. He covered his mouth with his hand, his brain working at maximum power. He had to do something. Being aware of how important that cat was to you, if something bad happened to her... he didn't even want to imagine your reaction. 

Without wasting another second, he dialed May Carleton’s number, the veterinarian who sometimes treated his horses. After explaining the situation, she told him to bring Cat into the clinic to take a look at her. Tommy picked up the cat in his arms, wrapped in a blanket, and held her to his chest like one does when cradling a baby. The poor thing let him do it, too weak to complain.

The drive from your house to the clinic was frantic, Tommy drove like a madman and once there he skipped the line in the waiting room, entering directly and leaving the bundle on the metal table. "Thomas, you can't sneak in like this," said May while putting on a pair of clean latex gloves.

"It's an emergency," he said, pointing to the metal table.

The vet's expression changed from annoyance to concern the moment she laid her eyes on the poor creature. "Okay, Thomas. I'll take over from here, why don't you wait outside?"

It turned out that she had eaten some plant that's poisonous to cats. This had caused her intestine and some other organs to inflame, or something like that. At least they had discovered it in time to help her.

The first thing Tommy did when he got back to your apartment was throwing away all the plants. The second thing was not taking his blue eyes off from Cat for a minute during the next three days.

At the end of the week you couldn’t wait any longer to go back home. You called Tommy several times but he didn't pick up the phone. Every time you had talked to him in the past few days he always told you that everything was going great. You had a hard time believing it. In about twenty minutes you’ll be home and you could finally hug your baby Cat and take a shower, in that order.

You stopped at the entrance of your home, leaving the suitcase and your shoes next to Tommy’s. He's here after all, you thought. The lights were off, all of them except for the one in the living room. You walked towards there and what you saw made your heart fill with love. 

Tommy was on the sofa, fast asleep. Curled against his side was Cat, sleeping too. She was holding Tommy’s hand between her paws. You covered your mouth with your hand, hiding your smile. They were too adorable. Never had you thought the day in which the two of them could get along would come. Seeing them sleeping together seemed like a dream. 

You took your phone and started taking pictures of them. The next week you would print one to put it on your fridge door, a new moment to remember.

Hey idk if you write for Franco Colapinto but I have this crazy fic idea that Lando, Alex, Franco, and reader were friends but Franco was the reader's rival and Lando and Alex was just so tired of them bickering all the time and they decided to lock them up in a room one day so that they could get this over with and be genuine friends. Lando and Alex will only unlock the door if they get close, like friends. But reader doesn't want to and Franco proposes an idea that they should just like post each other on Instagram and pretend they're really friends. But as they take a selfie together, Franco just takes it and reader's face was just unpleasant so she tries to get rid of it but Franco doesn't want to so he held the phone and made the phone hard to reach. Reader just wants Franco to lower the phone so she kisses him and it caughts him off guard.

Everyone loved Franco when he entered F1, everyone but her. They were karting and junior formula rivals. She got into F1 off a season contract and made sure Franco knew that.

“Did you see Franco’s interview it’s so funny!” Lando asked her laughing. She rolled her eyes. Lando’s smile faded as he playfully punched his teammate. “What’s up with you two anyway?” He asked.

“He’s an idiot on and off track.” She remarked. “Not to mention he got in off of Sargeant’s poor performance.” She loved Logan, missed him even. In her opinion James should’ve let him finish the year, he had Carlos on lock anyway.

“Yeah, well he’s just trying to gain recognition to get a seat.” Lando explained. She rolled her eyes again and Lando huffed a breath. “Keep your eyes out of your head, Franco is a person just like you and you would’ve taken the seat.”

She decided she was done with the conversation and walked off. Alex ran into her in the paddock and stopped her for a conversation. “James said he wants to speak with you.” Alex mentioned. It’s not like James wanted anything serious from her like a contract, no he was her father.

“Tell him I’m busy, uhh medias or something.” She deferred Alex. “I don’t want to talk with him.” She admitted. She had gotten close to Alex, since he was always around.

“I can’t keep covering for you, come on it’ll be quick.” Alex prompted. She agreed and followed Alex to the Williams garage while she was dressed in Papaya Orange.

“Ohh look what the cat dragged in, Miss Vowles.” Franco teased. She brushed past him and to her dad’s office. He was sitting, looking over something she didn’t understand.

“Can you get along with Franco for one media?” He asked, noticing her presence. She scoffed and declined. “If you don’t do it your sponsors will have my ass.” He said.

She rolled her eyes and left. “See quick!” Alex said to her. “I already talked with Lando and he agrees that a simple selfie will do the trick.” Alex was in on this? Oh she was so pissed.

“What? No I’m not doing shit with him, he can nod off with someone else.” She says. Alex is taken aback by her statement and watches as she walks out the garage.

“Mate, I told you she wouldn’t agree to it.” Franco laughs. “I push her off the track once and she hates my guts.” Alex didn’t know that. It was a small formula crash, one that left her wrist sprained, but minor.

Lando and Alex needed to find a way for them to get one selfie together, just one. For some reason the idiots thought locking them in a room was the best idea. They told Franco to stand there first and then shoved her in after, locking the door.

“One selfie, that’s it!” Lando said through the door. “You’ve got one hour.” She bangs on the door and lets out a frustrated sigh. Franco laughs at her tactics to try and exit the room with no success.

“Come on it’ll be easy, just smile like I’m someone you like.” He said. She gave him a death glare and he took a picture of her like that. She grabbed the phone and deleted it quickly.

“I have to look better than you in it.” She scoffs. They take a plethora of pictures and none of them are even close to looking real. The most recent one she hated and tried taking the phone to delete it.

“I think you look cute!” Franco teased. He held the phone above her and she wrestled with him trying to get it back. She sighed and then kissed Franco, causing his brain to misfire and give her the phone. She deleted the ones she hated and sent the good ones to Lando and Alex, demanding they be set free.

“I still hate you.” She said when Lando and Alex unlock the door and she hands them the team phone before wandering back to her garage. Franco still in shock.

“Mate she kissed me.” Franco said. Lando and Alex burst out laughing. “I’m serious!” No one believed Franco when he told them his rival kissed him for a phone.

The Last Immortal Dragon- Ch.1

In Los Angeles, the city was busy as usual. The sun glowed over the buildings and the light reflected off of the windows.

In an apartment complex, a sixteen year old girl sat in her room, reading. She had porcelain skin and light green hair and eyes.

She wore a white shirt and brown and teal shorts.

A cat padded up to her and pawed at her leg, meowing. She looked at it and smiled as she gently rubbed his head.

"Hey, Flare," she giggled, "what're you up to?"

"Meow!" The orange and brown tabby cat meowed. She smiled and picked him up. "Fern! Time for school, miss missy! You don't wanna be late!" A woman called from the kitchen.

Fern smiled as she got up and closed the book she was reading before she put it in her backpack. "Coming, Mom," she said.

She walked into the kitchen and saw her mom making her lunch. "Ma, you don't have to do that," she chuckled.

"You know it's a habit, my little gem." Her mom chuckled. She kissed her forehead.

Fern smiled as Flare hopped onto the counter and he sniffed at the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that were wrapped up in napkins.

"Ah-ah! Flare," Fern's mom scolded. Her mother had  bronze brown skin, hazel brown hair and light gray eyes. She worked as a nurse at a hospital.

"Meow!" Flare yowled in protest before he leapt off the counter and went over to his bowl. Once her mom finished packing up her lunch, she gave her the bag and Fern kissed her mom's cheek.

"Have a good day, baby," her mom said with a smile. "You too," Fern replied and she rubbed Flare's head before she hurried out of the apartment. It was a good thing she and her mother lived on the first floor.

She ran to the bus just as it drove up the sidewalk and the doors opened.

"Morning, little lady," the bus driver, Mr. Gray, said with a salute. Fern smiled, "morning, Mr. Gray."

She walked over to the middle and sat next to another girl. She had light chocolate skin and raven black hair and light brown eyes.

"Hey, Dahlia," she said. "Hey Fern," Dahlia chuckled.

"Were you up reading Greek mythology again?" She asked in a teasing voice. "Were you up watching Game Of Thrones?" Fern teased back, wiggling her eyebrows.

Dahlia immediately cracked up laughing and Fern joined in.

Another girl poked her head over the seat with a grin. "You both stayed up last night?"

"Hello to you too, Holly," Fern chuckled. Holly grinned. She had brownish-black hair and blue eyes.

Dahlia smiled and she looked out the window as the bus slowed down. "Not again," one of the kids muttered. Fern looked out the window.

"Another house burned to the ground," Holly sighed, "it makes you wonder how safe Los Angeles is."

"It's called the City of Angels for a reason," a boy piped up. He had auburn hair and green eyes. "We shouldn't let this ruin our day!" He exclaimed, throwing his hands out.

Fern chuckled slightly as she watched the firefighters put out the fire. "Is it weird that these things are happening in the daytime?"

"Yeah," Holly said with a suspicious frown. Dahlia gave her a look, "don't even think about it, Hol."

"Oh come on! We could meet up with the other girls and figure out what's causing this!" Holly exclaimed. Fern raised an eyebrow.

Holly gave the two puppy dog eyes. Fern looked at Dahlia who sighed heavily. "Fine."

Holly smiled happily and she pulled the other girl into a near bone-crushing hug.

Fern looked out the window and shifted her gaze to the clouds. Why did something feel so... out of place with her?

As the bus made it's way to the school, a nineteen year old boy stood on a rooftop, watching the bus. He wore a silver and red cloak and he hummed deeply.

He knelt down and narrowed his eyes for a moment.

"Looks like I've found you," he said calmly, "Miss Fern." He stood up and glanced at two cloaked figures.

"Find her mother. And I will handle the girl," he said calmly. The two figures nodded, both grinning menacingly, before they leap off another rooftop and onto another.

The boy turned away before he slowly transformed into a red dragon and he leapt up into the air.

At the school, Fern sat at her desk, gazing at Lazarus who was writing in his journal. He glanced at her and smiled softly.

Holly looked at Fern then at Lazarus before she waved her hand in front of her friend's face and sighed. "Really?" She muttered, "close your mouth. You're drooling."

"Am not," Fern said with a huff as she gave her a look. Out of all the people to be this observant, it had to be Holly.

"When are you gonna tell him you like him?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. Fern's face turned red and she gave a small hiss in response.

Holly drew her head hack, both surprised and amused.

"Fern, wouldn't you agree?" A woman asked, startling the two and Fern looked at her. She was in her twenties and she had dirty brown hair and bright stormy gray eyes.

She wore a white long-sleeve shirt and a gray dress-skirt.

"Ma'am?" Fern squeaked and she cleared her throat. "The tactics of War?" She said, raising an eyebrow, "would you agree with the winning tactics of Sparta?"

"Oh, um, absolutely!" Fern said with a hurried nod. "Excellent. Which tactics specifically?" The woman asked. Fern fidgeted a little.

"The, uh... winning ones?" She said and most of the kids laughed just as the bell rang. "Remember, chapters four and five of Jamison," the teacher said.

Fern knocked over her books and she sighed as she knelt down to pick them up. The woman knelt down, "Fern, you're distracted."

"I've just been reading Greek mythology, Miss Swift," she said with an apologetic smile. Miss Swift smiled softly, "I know, I know. But still. I know it's just you and your mother and you want to help her."

"I try," Fern sighed, rubbing the back of her neck, "she has a lot going on at work." "I believe I'm overdue with a conversation with her," Miss Swift said as she wrote down her number on a piece of paper and she gave it to her, "have her contact me when she's free."

"I'll do that," Fern chuckled as she took the paper.

"Also, Fern, if you fancy Lazarus, I suggest talking to is more effective than staring at." Miss Swift chuckled. Fern blushed and she nodded with a smile as she walked out of the room.

She walked down the hall and Dahlia and Holly ran over to her. "No trouble this time?" Dahlia asked with a teasing smile.

"Not telling," Fern chuckled and Holly smiled as the three girls shared a laugh.

The three walked down the hallway, making their way to the cafeteria.

Fern looked around before she spotted an empty table. She got her lunch and walked over to it. Holly followed her and she glanced over as Dahlia walked over to another group of friends.

Holly sighed as she nearly slammed her tray down. Fern looked at her, "Hol, you know we can't have it two ways. Even Dahlia can have friends besides us."

"I know," Holly sighed before she chuckled and looked at Fern, "remember when you literally talked down that bully, Megan?"

Fern giggled, "yeah. I don't remember the last time seeing her face."

Holly snickered as Lazarus and Uriah walked over to them. "Hey, girls," he said with a smile.

"Hi Lazarus, hey Uriah," Holly said and Fern started blushing. Lazarus smiled at her, "hello to you too, Fern."

"H-hi," she squeaked. He chuckled and he and Uriah sat down.

"What are we gonna do today?" Uriah asked. "I'm not too sure," Fern said, leaning back against the seat, "we were gonna explore the mines."

"The abandoned ones?" Uriah asked, surprised. Holly nodded.

Lazarus tilted his head curiously, "is that a good idea?" "My mom found out and she was nervous but I promised her I'd be careful," Holly said. Lazarus and Uriah looked at each other before they smiled and looked at the two girls.

"We're in," they said in unison. Fern smiled, "meet up after school, okay?"

"We'll be there!" Uriah said happily. Then the bell rang and the four got up and went to their classes.

Technically, yes. My mom saw a movie called "Shag" and the main character is named Carson. I also share a middle name with both my mom and my grandma.

2.) When was the last time you cried?

Yesterday morning. It gave me a wicked migraine which I'm currently in the ER for lol

3.) Do you have kids?

No. I don't think I will either unless I meet someone very special and important.

I was a swimmer for over a decade and medaled in my region for backstroke.

Explanation No One Asked For

Atau untuk judul yg lebih SEO Friendly: Pengalaman CPNS Kemendikbud 2023.

Sejak S1, menjadi dosen adalah salah satu cita2 aku (yg sempat ragu ketika ketemu prospek kerja ilkom yg menggoda), tapi anehnya cita2 aku cukup spesifik: aku mau jd dosen ilkom ipb. Kalo ngga dosen ilkom ipb, dorongannya belum sebesar itu. Tau nggak reels orang yg bilang "apakabar orang2 yg dulu waktu kecil ranking 1 trs? Apa udah tau skrg kalo kamu autis?", aku teh jd kepikiran jangan2 bener saya punya autistic traits.

Tp put it aside, alasan aku belum mau ngelamar univ lain selain ipb adalah karena kalo di ipb aku udah kenal sama dosen-dosennya, dan tau bahwa bapak-ibu dosen ini baik. Kalo aku ngelamar di univ lain, aku males harus beradaptasi sama berbagai macam orang baru lagi, gitu salah satu alasannya.

Pas lulus S2 tahun 2020 kemarin, aku sempet ngirim lamaran ke ilkom ipb, tapi karena sedang COVID jd SDM IPB memutuskan ngga nerima dosen baru dulu. Sejak itu, aku fokus kerja sbg mobile engineer, trs switch career jd data analyst karena kebetulan kena layoff tech winter.

Selama kerja jadi budak startup, deep down emang masih pengen ngajar. Masih excited setiap denger cerita dari mbakku yg memang jd dosen. Tp ya namanya keadaan bukan kita yg menentukan, aku nggak sama sekali berharap ada CPNS atau IPB buka dll. Mungkin bisa dibilang aku orangnya cukup nrimo, ngga terlalu mengejar sejauh2nya selain karena cita2nya emg spesifik juga.

2023 sekitar bulan Juli, mbakku yg dosen becandain ngajakin jd PNS. Aku yg waktu itu masih jd budak startup yg punya akses untuk WFH: menolak. Ngga dulu lah, pengennya yg bisa WFH. Eh siapa sangka 3-4 bulan kemudian aku malah daftar duluan drpd doi.

Oktober 2023, melalui akun instagram ilkom dan status WA bapak-ibu TU, aku tau bahwa ilkom buka lowongan CPNS utk S2. Aku nggak tau ada lowongan atau pembukaan CPNS kalo bukan dari postingan atau status ini. Trs melalui kegalauan, apakah daftar atau tidak, pertimbangannya salah satunya WFH, salah duanya realistis: gaji. Tp akhirnya setelah meminta saran teman2 dan orang tua aku putuskan utk daftar, belum tentu diterima ini.

Karena baru daftar dan bahkan belum tentu lulus seleksi administrasi, I obviously didn't tell anyone kecuali grup terdekat. Karena nggak tau juga sedetail apa seleksi administrasi tsb dilakukan. Alhamdulillahnya lolos seleksi administrasi, dari info temen bahwa ada listnya lho yg daftar brp brp orang kemudian bisa tau bahwa lawan aku ada 5 orang. Di sini masih deg2an, karena hanya dibuka 1 posisi, dan kalo diantara 5 orang itu ada dosen ilkom yg belum PNS, chance aku sangat kecil. And I'm fine with that sebenernya.

Seleksi CPNS ini ada 2: 1) SKD (Seleksi Kompetensi Dasar), 2) SKB (Seleksi Kompetensi Bidang). SKD untuk semua lowongan soalnya sama, hampir semua bimbel dan TO CPNS menyediakan bimbel dan TO SKD. Isinya ada 3 subtes: semacem penalaran umum di bidang kerjaan, kewarganegaraan, dan hitung2an. SKB ini untuk setiap lowongan atau kementrian berbeda2, untuk kemendikbud ada 3 pembagian: wawancara, microteaching, dan CAT. Wawancara dan microteaching yang ngujinya univ tujuan, kalau CAT udah dikasih kisi2nya dan teknisnya mirip pas SKB, yang nyelenggarainnya BKN.

Persiapan SKD aku beli ebook di shopee kayaknya 3 ebook harganya sekitar 20rb an, ngga mau bimbel dan bayar mahal2 karena ngga sengebet itu juga. Ikut TO 2x, alhamdulillah naik nilainya. Trs ebook yg dibeli dikerjainnya pas lagi perjalanan ke Bandung buat tes SKD. Iya, karena kebodohan saya, saya jd tes SKD di Bandung. Pas pendaftaran dan milih lokasi tes, aku kira itu milih lokasi univ, aku pilih lah Jawa Barat, taunya itu lokasi tes... Akhirnya dianter lah ke Bandung sekalian ketemu sm mbakku yg ikut CPNS Kemendikbud juga. Aku tes hr minggu, doi besoknya.

Dalam proses CPNS ini, long story short aku memutuskan untuk resign dari company yg skrg bahkan pas SKD aja belum pengumuman. Niatnya kalo nanti ngga lulus CPNS ya aku bantu2 di sekolah aja, atau daftar ke univ deket rumah deh gpp daripada capek hati. Trs temen kantorku becandain aku punya ordal karena blm juga pengumuman SKD dah mau resign aja, pdhl aku ga bilang ke dosen2 kalo aku daftar, dosen2 juga ngga ada yg ngasihtau aku kalo ada lowongan (siapa aku y).

Pengumuman SKD, alhamdulillah lulus. Ketahuan kemudian siapa lawanku, dan alhamdulillah bukan dosen ilkom. Dengan adanya sosial media skrg, bisa tau juga background para lawan dan mempersiapkan diri untuk menerima kenyataan.

Karena sudah ngajuin resign, aku jd leluasa buat nyiapin SKB terutama materi microteaching. Bayangin gais, kalian diminta bikin materi 10 menit yg akan dinilai kemampuan mengajar kalian darisitu. Bingung nggak tuh apa yg hrs ditunjukkan, materinya hrs milih yg advanced atau yg dasar, etc etc. Terima kasih kepada teman2 yg aku mintain slide kuliah, kak Hani sesama pejuang CPNS Kemendikbud walaupun kita sudah terpisah oleh laut. Akhirnya ditentukan juga aku mau bahas KNN aja, yang lumayan simpel dan pernah implement juga di kantor.

Kemudian tibalah hari wawancara dan microteaching. Wawancara hari Selasa, microteaching besoknya. Ketika wawancara aku lagi sakit sehingga keliatan sama bapak yg wawancara tdk semangat, tp yaudah pasrah aja. Ditanya kenapa mau jd dosen kan dikerjaan skrg gajinya lebih gede? Ya kujawab jujur aja karena udah ga cocok sama kantor yg skrg, trs malah dimarahin. "Hrsnya jawabnya karena saya pengen jd dosen gitu". Lah iya emang aku pengen jd dosen.. yagitu mungkin kalo orang jaman dulu akan jawab yg bagus2 ya, tp aku pengennya jujur aja. Udah pasrah jg kalo ga lulus nanti ya yaudah gapapa yg penting dah jujur.

Besoknya microteaching, pas jelasin 10 menit tanya jawab 10 menit. Tapi karena dah lama ngga ngajar dan ngulik ada beberapa pertanyaan yg gabisa dijawab. Livescore wawancara dan microteaching aku no. 1 diantara lawan: harap-harap cemas.

Untuk SKB CAT, alhamdulillah nya milih lokasi lagi, jadi kali ini aku milih Jakarta bukan Jawa Barat🙏. Tp kesananya tetep dianter karena dpt jadwal paling pagi hehe. Setelah keluar ruangan, orang2 di busway dan krl pada ngecekkin LiveScore di YouTube. Kebetulan aku dan lawan aku jadwalnya sama, jdlah aku ikut ngecekkin lagi. Alhamdulillah masih gedean aku. Oiya aku belajar SKB CAT nya juga dari ebook shopee, lengkap bgt ebooknya materinya beratus2 halaman🥲👍.

Di telegram, ada grup CPNS Dosen dan grupnya informatif banget, ada excel buat ngitung nilai akhir. Kalo berdasarkan perhitungan sih harusnya lolos, tp kan tetep aja harap-harap cemas sambil nunggu pengumuman. Mana 22 Desember sudah last day, jadi makin merasa panjang aja hari itu kan kalo gaada kerjaan.

Ketika aku udah resign dan pengumuman CPNS blm ada, aku minta persetujuan ortu,

"Aku gausah daftar2 kerja dulu ya?"

"Iya gausah"

Jadilah aku dpt career break yg bener2 career break. Dulu pas dpt career break karena layoff tuh rasanya miserable gitu, tp kalo yg ini alhamdulillah bahagia. Sampe tiap ada kenalan yg baru ketemu lg dg senang hati aku jawab,

"Pengangguran hehe"

Kalo dia nanya fatim kerja apa sekarang😅🙏.

Januari 2024, pengumuman pra sanggah. Alhamdulillah lolos. Alhamdulillah mbakku dan kak Hani juga lolos. Aku baru info grup krucil, Nisa, sama close friend ig aja, karena nunggu pasca sanggah dulu. Tapi tdk ada yg tau ternyata pasca sanggah ngaret sampe sebulan lebih.

Februari 2024, alhamdulillah akhirnya pasca sanggah pengumuman, dan alhamdulillah pengumumannya tdk berubah.

Sekarang sih status aku masih pengangguran karena blm ada SK dan blm dipanggil kampus. And I know jalan di depan tentu saja tdk akan mulus, tapi alhamdulillah bi ni'matihi tatimush sholihat, alhamdulillah atas segala nikmat. Mudah2an Allah mudahkan langkah2 aku nantinya dalam proses ini.

Sejak ngeliat reels bapak guru SD yg nyeritain soal murid2nya, atau pustakawan yg cerita soal pengunjung2 perpustakaan, aku juga kepengen ketemu banyak orang and giving impact in their live. Dan jadi dosen adalah salah satu caranya.
