i made full "canon" allegiances for the start of fire and ice: google doc link
this is a part of a series im doing where i've made the full allegiances for the first book of every arc in order. now i'm making allegiances for other main series books
here is the masterpost for all the allegiances
"canon" is in quotations because a lot of this is guesswork about who logically would be around at that point in time, but aren't listed in the allegiances or mentioned in the book
this is mainly meant to be a resource for fanworks
general stuff that's still the same as last time:
wiki pages are linked to character's names
med cat = cleric
characters are listed by age. where there are no concrete ages, i make my best guess
tc is the only clan without a "kit" rank as all kits born into or taken into the clan have known parents
this is where things start to get pretty messy due to the sheer number of prequel cats i need to make decisions about, pretty much entirely in rc and sc. i'll provide insight into why the ones i have listed are still around as these prequel cats do just tend to randomly fall off the timeline with no explanation or canonical deaths
thunderclan:
cinderkit and brackenkit are listed as kits instead of apprentices bc they are not apprenticed until like 100 pages in
swiftpaw is still listed as an apprentice bc he is apprenticed in like the first chapter
ashkit, fernkit, and tulipkit are listed. elderkit is already dead and tulipkit dies this book
shadowclan:
they lose a LOT of cats from the previous allegiances due to their last mentioned appearances being at the end of yellowfang's secret and not a lot of them reappearing in exile from shadowclan or tigerclaw's fury
whitepaw/whitethroat - not mentioned until rising storm, but needs to be a warrior by then. i made him a kit in the itw allegiances and thus now he's an apprentice
applepaw/applefur and ratpaw/ratscar - not mentioned until tigerclaw's fury but need to be warriors by then. i made them kits in the itw allegiances and thus they are now apprentices
brightflower, crowtail, archeye, featherstorm, hollyflower - alive and rejoined shadowclan's camps at the end of exile from shadowclan
volewhisper - alive and rejoined shadowclan's camp at the end of exile from shadowclan, but specifically needs to die before blackfoot returns due to continuity issues with blackfoot's reckoning
ashheart - not mentioned or listed in tpb, but alive bc she needs to make semi-canon kits with cinderfur in rising storm
scorchwind - not mentioned or listed in tpb, but alive bc he needs to make rowanstar and cedarheart with darkflower
rowanberry, deerfoot, flintfang, and fernshade - are in tigerclaw's fury
wolfstep - is mentioned to still be alive when tigerclaw first comes to shadowclan in blackfoot's reckoning
riverclan:
mistyfoot - reedwhisker is not listed because i've gone with the timeline given in tnp for him. mistyfoot's other kits are listed
mosspelt - listed as a warrior instead of an expecting queen as her and silverstream's kits need to be close enough in age for her to feed/foster them, and graystripe and silverstream haven't even met yet
mallowtail and birdsong - they are still around after shadepelt and heavystep receive their full names
frogleap - he dies later
grasswhisker, shimmerpelt, lakeshine, cedarpelt, piketooth, and timberfur - mentioned to be alive after the flood that kills frogleap
beetlenose, ottersplash, sedgecreek, voleclaw, and vixenleap - mentioned to join tigerclan and/or lionclan, so they are safe for the entirely of tpb
rippleclaw and emberdawn - are at nightpelt's first gathering as a leader
skyheart and reedtail - need to make kits together in mothwing's secret, so they are safe for the entirety of tpb
windclan:
thrushwing - again, the canonnity of her character is questionable, but windclan needs more she-cats. there's also an unnamed non-morningflower tortoiseshell mentioned a couple times and i think she works fine to fill in that vague role
morningflower - the way that she and gorsekit are described make it sound like she gave birth like the day before fireheart and graystripe showed up, so she is tagged with (expecting kits)
tawnykit/tawnyfur - an apprentice in rising storm and a warrior in a dangerous path, so she is likely a kit around this time
eaglekit (ashfoot's kit) - not listed bc i think they have died
elders - there are about 5 unnamed elders described while windclan is crossing the road. the only specific elders that have strong cases to be around are crowfur (he is in a forest of secrets) and cloudrunner (he is gorsepaw's father)
i have them listed under rogues and loners, but sometime during this book it's likely that stagleap and sorrelshine rejoin windclan after the clan returns to their territory
cats outside clans:
shadowclan exiles get their own group
stagleap (wc) and sorrelshine are listed here
princess is listed as (expecting kits) as cloudtail has not been born yet

BB Allegiances: TPB Book 1
I get these as a request now and then, so, now that I have 4/5 of the family trees done, now's a good time to finalize some ranks and changes!
Since this is the first one, I'll explain a bit about BB's extra rankings. There are 4 new roles within Clans;
Head of Construction Patrol In charge of building and maintaining not only the dens, but also the wall, any tools, and comforts such as bedding.
Head of Kitchen Patrol Oversees prey processing and reduces food waste. Makes sure valuable materials such as pelts and bones aren't ruined, helps to 'stretch' food further in times of hunger.
Head of Hunting Patrol Manages the territory's environment, tracking what animals are being hunted, what the prey is probably eating, and keeping an eye on the populations of other predators.
Educator An intelligent cat in charge of giving all kits an overview of their Clan's version of history, plus extra skills like glyph-reading. Elders teach stories and traditions, an Educator is more like a teacher.
Additionally, a Chaperone is not an official role in the era of TPB, but Daisy comes to permanently occupy much later. It's the fandom "permaqueen," a non-parenting cat who helps the occupants of the nursery.
ThunderClan Recently underwent a horrible plague and lost many young cats.
RiverClan Has had low birth rates in the past few years, causing many eligible warriors to go without apprentices.
WindClan Embroiled in a rapidly escalating war over the Mothermouth Moorland, about to reach a bloody crescendo.
ShadowClan The largest Clan, reaching a fever pitch over their war with WindClan. Its leader plots a nefarious end to the conflict, and will pay any price for victory.
Cats Outside the Clans A young ginger cat dreams of the forest...

Warriors Character Bloat
A lot of us have mentioned that cats who were born in the forest really should be dead by now, and also a lot of us have mentioned the character bloat in Warriors. Because of both of these facts, I decided to go through the Allegiances of Ivypool's Heart (the most recent book) and noted who was born during which arc. I also crossed out cats who were born in the forest. The arcs that each cat was born in are color-coded in a rainbow pattern (TPB=red, TNP=orange, POT=yellow, OOTS=green, AVOS=blue, TBC=purple, ASC=pink).
Some Notes:
The Great Journey & Adult Cats Introduced in POT:
Nightcloud was an adult during The Great Journey, which to me means she was born during TPB.
Gorsetail, Duskfur, and Snowbird are all adults with either kits or apprentices when they are introduced at the beginning of POT. To me, that means they likely would have been born in the forest and made the journey as kits timeline-wise.
Cats Introduced as Adults in AVOS (and are thus marked as being born during OOTS):
Shadowclan - Cloverfoot, Stonewing, Grassheart.
Windclan: Slightfoot, Oatclaw, Hootwhisker, Featherpelt (but her littermate Larkwing is mentioned in OOTS as an apprentice).
Riverclan: Berryheart, Podlight, Shimmerpelt, Lizardtail, Brackenpelt, Owlnose, Havenpelt.
Thunderclan: Stormcloud, Hollytuft, Fernsong, Sorrelstripe
Skyclan Timeline Notes:
Cats who are adults in Firestar’s Quest or Skyclan’s Destiny are marked as TPB, and cats who are born in or are apprentices in Skyclan’s Destiny are marked as TNP.
Hawkwing’s Journey takes place between OOTS and AVOS. Cats born during Hawkwing’s Journey are marked AVOS, cats who are adults in it but didn’t exist in Skyclan’s Destiny are marked as OOTS.
Thoughts I have after making this:
The character bloat that occurred during AVOS is so real, oh my lord.
There are more Skyclan cats who are from the TNP era than there are Shadowclan cats from that era.
The vast, VAST majority of Shadowclan cats were born during AVOS.
Windclan has a LOT of POT cats - the majority of their cats are from POT!

hii i'm mod velvet
they/them, adult
I used CatGen to create custom moooostly canon accurate ThunderClan in ClanGen. This ClanGen takes place right after the battle with BloodClan, the moon Squirrelkit and Leafkit are born. Old faces like Firestar and Cinderpelt are back with their clanmates, along with Ravenpaw, Barley, Princess and Smudge outside the clans (and some StarClan and Dark Forest Spirits!) . There's a lot of canon divergence, including cats that were omitted entirely and some timeline tweaks, which are detailed below cut. Some cats I added for funsies; this ThunderClan includes a spared Scourge grappling with his actions, Swiftpaw, and Snowkit!
Allegiances Save File Editing Guide
Omitted Cats:
General Note: A lot of cats who were dead before the events of The Prophecies Begin are not here. I'd honestly love to add more guys into StarClan and probably will, but the absurd amount of Unsavory Relationships created by the gnarled family trees of early Warrior Cats would literally make the game less fun. So a lot of cats like Redtail and Spottedleaf or Lionheart do not have parents coded into the game, and minus Thunderstar and Jake, no cats from before TPB are in StarClan. Maybe one day I'll make a living document custom ThunderClanGen, but this is just for fun, and so I'd like to steer away from that. The other clans are present, as in RiverClan, ShadowClan, and WindClan Exist in the Game, but since ClanGen only allows you to toggle the allegiances for one clan plus cats outside the clans, their warriors aren't coded into the game. This (unfortunately) includes Tawnypaw.
This is an entirely self indulgent AU and so a few cats who I just straight up don't like aren't here. Some cats didn't make it because I wanted to keep the roster small. The following list of cats are cats who were alive during the time this is occurring, but were omitted from ThunderClan:
Bramblepaw, Ashpaw, Dustpelt, One-Eye, Dappletail
"Revived" Characters: (canon names are italicized)
Swiftstride (Swiftpaw), Snowpaw (Snowkit), Frostpaw (Scourge)
Timeline Changes:
Longtail was blinded in the battle against BloodClan. This is so I don't have to go in and mess with code moons into the Gen and possibly mess things up/corrupt the entire file. I also didn't want to create a situation where he never goes blind - he is a canonically disabled character and I'm not going to leave it up to a coinflip/rng to honor that.
Sandstorm is deputy of ThunderClan, chosen after Whitestorm's death in the BloodClan Battle. Greystripe never occupies the position.
Snowpaw (Snowkit) is training to be a warrior. He is apprenticed to Sandstorm.
Swiftstride (Swiftpaw) survived the dog attack, sustaining many severe wounds including a lost leg.
Cultural/Canon Changes:
Cats who are disabled can decide on their role in the clan. Longtail remains a warrior after being blinded. Snowpaw eagerly pursues the path of a warrior. Cinderpelt isn't forced to become a medic. Her chronic pain and injury makes warriorhood difficult to pursue, and her time spent recovering in the medic's den with Yellowfang foster a love for healing. Both of these things inform her own choice to be a medic. As a person who has recently had to scale back on or entirely quit major passions of mine because of my own chronic pain, this story line means a lot to me. Sometimes our disabilities do keep us from walking the path in life we want, and that's okay - we can still find happiness and fulfillment just like Cinderpelt.
Queens can become deputies/leaders and leaders/deputies can have kits without being expected to give up their positions.

Okay, but what if Brightheart and Thornclaw were Rosetail's kits?
I was watching a youtube video a few weeks back that suggested that splitting Frostfur's TPB litter into two separate litters would fix a decent amount of the inbred ThunderClan family tree and today my noggin went "...huh." Yeah Rosetail was technically an elder in the first book, but she doesn't even show up in the allegiances and she died protecting the nursery - Warriors retcons have been based on far less. Also, in the loose and assumed time periods between a queen's age and still having kits, pretty sure Speckletail and Snowkit are technically older than Rosetail could've been, so we're rolling with it. And I am far too tired to calculate whether this change vastly fixes the level of relatedness of subsequent cats, I just wanted to make silly drawings of cats.
In the words of Moonkitti, "[she] lived a life obsessed with boys" haha. But also pretty true. One of Rosetail’s most consistent character traits is her fascination with gossip surrounding mates and kits - so, in my little hc world, maybe she took an out-of-clan mate/tom to have kits. That, along with her kits being kin to Thistleclaw, could also be a driving force in Bluestar refusing to make Brightpaw and Thornpaw warriors on time - yeah I know that Whitestorm is more closely related to Thistleclaw than the apprentices, but logic is not one of the strongest players in Bluestar's mind rn so we're moving on
Thornclaw could've been loosely named after his uncle, but thorn over thistle keeps the reference much less obvious. Also, because he's no longer related to Lionheart and Brackenfur, I'm taking the liberty of a little re-design for our boy. TBH, to me, being golden brown did nothing for Thornclaw other than label him as "not-Brackenfur." For Brightheart, the argument could be made that she should've been named after Sweetpaw, but Sweetpaw was already named after a cat, so maybe Bright- is a reference to her sister in that regard. Or both her children are named entirely separate from her family.

ICEHEART (Scourge)
Scourge plays a large part not only in the events of TPB but of later arcs as well.
He tries to join ThunderClan but is driven out by Tigerpaw. He wanders the clan borders for a while before making his home in twolegplace. After the stories Quince told him about the clans, Tiny still wishes to live in a group like them. He forms BloodClan as inspured by his mother's tales of fearless warriors living a somewhat-noble life.
BloodClan remain a threat during Firepaw's apprenticeship. ThunderClan frequently encounter them in patrols near twolegplace.
BloodClan are more morally forgivable than in canon. They see clan cats as an oppressive threat to kittypets and loners. Skirmishes that take place in twolegplace are over border markings, the clans see BloodClan as a grouo of rogues, so they are to be treated as outsiders according to the warrior code.
BloodClan try to mimic the lifestyle of a clan through meetings and similar names, (Brickshard, Bonesnap, etc) however do not have a healer or an apprentice system. Although they do not have a warrior code, Scourge encourages his cats to be somewhat merciful. Seeing clan cats as a self-righteous evil group he wants his cats not to be as arrogant as they are.
Scourge is only mentioned in passing until Tigerstar persuades him to join his TigerClan allegiance. Scourge accepts out of the promise of a portion of territory for his cats and better relations with the clans. However upon witnessing Tigerstar's cruelty and arrogance he is reminded of when he was attacked as a kit. He kills Tigerstar and declares war on the other clans, hoping to drive them out the forest for good.
Within the battle he takes Firestar's first life but just before Firestar kills him StarClan orders him to spare Scourge's life. He had always been destined to be a clan cat, a medicine cat, however the incident with Tigerpaw threw him off that path. After the battle Firestar hesitantly accepts him into ThunderClan, giving him the name Iceheart. StarClan trains Iceheart to be a medicine cat through dreams. Although ThunderClan do not fully trust him, they understand that this was StarClan's will. BloodClan is handed over to new leadership.
After a power struggle in BloodClan, Iceheart finally earns ThunderClan's respect through aiding BloodClan to remove their corrupt leader Furyclaws who seized power. BloodClan ceases to interact with the clans with Iceheart's persuasion, moving deeper into twolegplace. Some cats join SkyClan when it forms in the gorge when the TNP travellers journey through twoleplace. Over time BloodClan eventually transitions to WarriorClan.
Iceheart believes in StarClan, however does not believe that they are always a force of good. He is willing to let acts against the warrior or medicine cat code if he thinks they are pointless. His closest friends outside the clans is Brokenheart, medicine cat of ShadowClan, despite Brokenheart's somber and soft personality he respects him. As well as Mothwing as the two hold similar beliefs.
He mentors Firestar's daughter Leafpool. However he develops joint problems and needs to retire from being a medicine cat. He helps her hide her pregnancy from ThunderClan, he views the rule of medicine cats not having kits as pointless. He dies of old age when the Three are kits. When Jaypaw walks in StarClan, Iceheart does not hesitate to speak to him unlike the other StarClan cats who fear his power.
Jaypaw only has a few memories of Iceheart's health deteroriating in the elder's den but heard and was fascinated by stories of the tiny cat who lead the cats of twolegplace and killed Tigerstar with one swipe. Rather than Spottedleaf attempting to guide him, it is Iceheart, with Yelowfang contributing occasssionally.
In his StarClan form, Iceheart wears his BloodClan collar for 2 reasons. The first is that when a spirit reaches StarClan their form is the one that is considered the peak of their success, the elders' tales of Iceheart as the legendery leader of BloodClan is responsible for this. The second representing Iceheart's own rejection of traditional StarClan beliefs. He believes in Silverpelt but does not follow them blindly.
Additional Note: Firestar and Sandstorm have a second litter, Foxleap and Icecloud. Their daughter Icecloud is naned after Iceheart

The Skyfall AU Masterpost
This post will be an archive of sorts for the information posts for the Skyfall AU.
The goal of this AU is to hammer out a solid timeline for warrior cats, emphasize the downfall of Skyclan and the aftermath as key drivers in the plot, and better flesh out the characters and clan culture(s)! Additionally, I hope to address some of the more problematic elements of the canon text to make a narrative that is more satisfying and lives up to the potential the warriors world has. I also want to pin down a setting (at the moment I am leaning towards SW Scotland) for the books in order to make the names and environment consistent and accurate.
This AU will focus primarily on the the time frame from the fall of Skyclan to the end of OotS, since those are the books I read as a kid/teenager and are the books I have the best grasp of. I stopped reading the series consistently several years ago, but have re-read TPB recently. As such, I probably won't do much work on anything post-The Last Hope. Perhaps later, but certainly not anytime soon.
I hope to tackle DotC at some point, since I got about halfway through that arc before stopping reading the books.
This project is roughly broken into a few categories that are subject to change:
History of the Clans and Timeline Work:
Timeline from The Skyfall to Modern Day [DRAFT]
Clan Culture:
Skyclan's Cultural Evolution
Clan Ranks and Structure
How to Become Deputy by Clan

Skyfall Asks + Responses:
Can Clerics have mates/kits
Will I write this?
Goal of the rewrite
This AU is inspired not only by the canonical warriors books that I read as a kid/teen but also by the work of @bonefall and @cryptidclaw, both blogs I absolutely love reading through because the ideas in their respective AUs/rewrites are superb and get the creative juices flowing. In particular, I plan on using the clanmew language system developed by bonefall and @troutfur and drawing from the clan culture bonefall has numerous posts about. This is also inspired by other animal fantasy books I read in my childhood, including Tailchaser's Song, Guardians of Ga'hoole, and Wings of Fire.

Fireheart x Morningflower AU Drabble
The old "what if I ship THIS rarepair as a joke?" but as per usual I get attached to said rarepair. Anyways. Here's some very scrambled `1 am thoughts.
I'll do something more concrete after I reread tpb again cause since Morningflower isn't a major character, somethings are blurry!
This is also a "Fireheart goes to Windclan" AU but its AFTER he's become a warrior of Thunderclan. Mostly because I thought it would be fun and also because I think it would be the most likely scenario for a Fire/Morning ship to work.
------------------------------------------------
-In this AU, Fireheart fails to convince Bluestar that Tigerclaw is a threat. He's exiled, but finds refuge in Windclan [I think Jake tells Tallstar something about Fireheart at the end of Tallstar's revenge so that but its taken further]. Tallstar is more then happy to take in Fireheart when he both saved his clan and was talked about by his old mate [Tallstar/Jake is canon you can't tell me otherwise]. Tallstar almost sees Fireheart as a kit he never had.
-Kind of a take on what happens if one of starclan's prophecys fail cause they never do that and its lame [I'm only caught up to dawn of the clans so if they have done that afterwards my bad]. Since Bluestar doesn't end up trusting Fireheart's instincts "Fire alone can save our clan" doesn't pan out!!!
-Obviously this has a lot of implications when it comes to the main plot of tpb but I just like changing things to see where I would make them end up. Stuff like if Tigerclaw killed Bluestar, what happens to Yellowfang, what happens to Graystripe and Riverclan and Bloodclan, how Fireheart might be considered a traitor by other clans and how much Windclan would/wouldn't accept him. etc. lol. Big AU for tiny ship.
-Probably going to either fill in some windclan warriors or take a realllll close look at the allegiances between books because so few are actually listed in the first series.
-Not sure exactly when I want Fireheart's exile to take place- I think I would place it somewhere between Graystripe leaving for Riverclan and Tigerstar's murder attempt on Bluestar, but I'll think on that.
------------------------------------------------
-Anyways onto the actual Fire/morning stuff.
-Other then talking at gatherings about how Gorsepaw is doing, the two don't really get romantic until after Fireheart joins Windclan. Originally on my main art blog I thought it would be funny if Fireheart was sneaking out to see Morningflower in the same vein Graystripe does with Silverstream, but I think that's too repetitive and a bit out of character for Fireheart [he's seen sneaking out and breaking the warrior code plenty sure, but he's also seen to be a complete goofball when it comes to romance]
-Fireheart acts as a sort of surrogate father for Gorsepaw [who lives in this au]. More father figures in Warriors please. [Pretty sure Morningflower's canon mate is Cloudrunner which is WILD becuase Cloudrunner was a moorunner warrior when Tallstar was a kit and Tallstar was Morningflower's mentor?????? What I'm saying is he's old as hell. I don't thin he's in TPB so I'm just assuming he's dead or generally ignoring his existence for now] Gorsepaw would absolutely adore having Fireheart in windclan
-Onestar and Fireheart being brother in laws is cute and they won't have the same kind of falling out if Fireheart is in windclan [Idk if Fireheart would ever become leader of windclan but hey. Question for another day]. Don't ask me about Ashfoot. I forgor what she's like
-I mostly like this ship because I like the thought of Fireheart being the one who comforted Morningflower in what was probably one of the darkest moments of her life!!! and also that Morningflower is such an underutilized character, with her retiring [rather early, i think she's brother's with Onewhisker?] to the elder's den after she feels like she avenged her son, but the way she fought so fiercely to do so always makes her stand out in my mind : (
-With how protective Fireheart is over Sandstorm in the last few books of tpb I think he would absolutely do the same for Morningflower and his adopted son.
-I have many doodles planned and will expand on this as I think of stuff haha. Will have to make some stuff up for Morningflower seeing as she doesn't appear in the books often.
#hey how come so many cats in windclan have the name gorse. gorsestar. gorsefoot. gorsepaw. are there any other gorses i should know about#squirleflight and leafpool probably still exist At Some Point#I think this ship would make leafpool cousins with crowfeather[?] so thats a whole thing that would have to change but w/e#warriors#warrior cats#morningflower#fireheart#windclan fireheart#warriors au#fireheart x morningflower#rarepair#headcannons#alternate universe#I gotta draw gorsepaw soon dont let me forget

Allegiances changes
See the visual allegiances, or the first chapter of the fic, and you might notice, even though tpb is canon, there are some changes from the end of the darkest hour to DAWN.
I will make a post soon explaining how tpb being canon works with AtD, but basically: Everything done and said in The Prophecies Begin is canon to AtD. Exceptions are family trees, and ages/timelines. The prequels are free game for rewriting EXCEPT anything SAID about the past in TPB. Example, what Bluestar says about her backstory in TPB, I HAVE to keep the same, ie her halfclan kits and her rise to deputyship. ANYTHING ELSE is free game.
There are a few things I did change, excluding family trees and ages. These are Name changes, New/reworked characters, and Character changes. There aren't really any new/reworked character changes until later arcs.
Name Changes:
SHADOWCLAN
Plumwish; see Character Changes
Batwing; original name Nightwing, didn't want too many characters with the same prefix as pov characters, felt Bat- suited her character better
Brickflame; see Character Changes (this is Brick from BC)
RIVERCLAN
Stormbranch; I ALWAYS confuse this guy and Stonefur (similar backstories, similar families, related, close names), I don't like Stormfur as a name sorry, Stormbranch fits his personality AND fits story plot reasons, plus I like -branch and wish it could be used more in better names, PLUS reference to Crookedstar : )
WINDCLAN
Yewclaw; original name Willowclaw, too many Willow- names and it did NOT suit her at all
Crowice; original name Crowfeather, journey has not happened yet so no reason to be named -feather, I wanted something cold to suit his personality, but Crowfrost was already taken in Shadowclan by a semi-important guy, it's hard to work with -ice but I really like Crowice as a name, it's snappy
Character Changes:
THUNDERCLAN
OKAY. SO. I AM A GREYSTRIPE HATER! I HATE THAT STUPID CAT! I AM A HATER! Whitestorm told Firestar to pick a worthy deputy and this mf picks Greystripe? GREYSTRIPE?! The LEAST deserving cat in the entire clan!! ANY cat would've been better! Pick a kit or an elder and they would have been BETTER! Greystripe DID NOT train Brackenpaw (who still hates him)! HE WAS A SHIT FRIEND! THIS MF SO ANNOYING I HATE HIM! I WANT THAT TWINK DEAD!
...
so uhhhhhhhh anywayyy. I am not letting that travesty fly. I had three choices, Longtail, Sandstorm and Goldenflower, for deputy. I went with GF because I've seen a good few GF deputy/leader aus. I think (one of) Tigerclaw's wives should have more screen time. Also having Brambie's mom be deputy fits some story stuff : )
Due to how I do ages, Frostfur and Willowpelt are too young to be elders
Bramblepaw is Sandstorm's apprentice instead of Firestar's. This doesn't really change anything in the story. Firestar had THREE apprentices real close together, and Sandstorm deserved an apprentice much earlier
Shrewpaw is now Goldenflower's apprentice for plot-ish reasons, and Sootpaw is Brackenfur's apprentice since he couldn't finish Tawnypaw's training
SHADOWCLAN
Shadowclan needs a BIG buff in cats
Deputy Tallpoppy for plot reasons. You might notice how young she is. That is not a mistake : )
Runningnose is not old enough to be an elder
Applefern and Toadfoot (originally the journey kits) have been shifted up in age to fill Shadowclan
RIVERCLAN
Misty ain't deputy
The elders aren't old old enough to be deputy, etc etc
WINDCLAN
Another clan to buff up...
Morningflower is WAY to young to be retired
OTHER CATS
The 'other cats' section is interesting because even if you don't see them in the whole book, you just list the cats who live in the surrounding area
Hence Sasha : )
Hence not Purdy 'cause he lives too far away

i made full "canon" allegiances for the start of forest of secrets: google doc link
this is a part of a series im doing where i've made the full allegiances for the first book of every arc in order. now i'm making allegiances for other main series books. these will not be adherent to the changes with the new graphic novels
here is the masterpost for all the allegiances
"canon" is in quotations because a lot of this is guesswork about who logically would be around at that point in time, but aren't listed in the allegiances or mentioned in the book
this is mainly meant to be a resource for fanworks
general stuff that's still the same as last time:
wiki pages are linked to character's names
med cat = cleric
characters are listed by age. where there are no concrete ages, i make my best guess
tc is the only clan without a "kit" rank as all kits born into or taken into the clan have known parents
like last time, there's a lot of decisions to be made about prequel cats who just stop showing up. i'll be providing insight into why i believe that they're still around or not. check the previous fire and ice allegiances for more insights
thunderclan:
cinderpaw - still listed as fireheart's apprentice
brightkit, thornkit, and cloudkit - still listed as kits
snowkit and mistlekit - listed as mistlekit showed up (unnamed) in fire and ice, tho snowkit doesn't show up until rising storm, after mistlekit is implied to have died (tho she is also implied to have recovered from greencough lol). they probably would have been old enough to become apprentices around the same as like, cloudtail
goldenflower - she has tawnykit and bramblekit this book
shadowclan:
whitethroat, applefur, and ratscar - i have given them all their warrior names due to their appearances in tigerclaw's fury
snowbird - she does not show up in this arc at all but she is stated to be ratscar's littermate
rowankit and cedarkit (and lavenderkit) - rowanclaw is an apprentice in tigerclaw's fury (cedarheart and lavenderkit are not mentioned), so i had darkflower listed as (expecting kits) in the fire and ice allegiances. they do not become warriors until sometime after arc 1 so they were probably born in mid fire and ice, like ashfur and ferncloud. i've also removed their father scorchwind because his job is complete and he hasn't shown up since like, a blackfoot's reckoning flashback set in into the wild
volewhisper - due to continuity issues with blackfoot's reckoning, he needs to die before blackfoot reappears in shadowclan, but given that that doesn't happen until late FoS/early RS, i think it's fine that he's still around
stumpytail - he is one of the shadowclan exiles in tigerclaw's fury and blackfoot's reckoning but he is listed in the shadowclan allegiances for both FaI and FoS (while the shadowclanners are exiled) and appears in FoS as a clan cat, so i still have him listed within the clan. he also, of course, still has an apprentice in brownpaw
brownpaw - he does not show up in either tigerclaw's fury or blackfoot's reckoning, but he is still listed in both the forest of secrets and rising storm allegiances
all their non nightpelt and cinderfur elders are gone. none of them show up in forest of secrets (and really didn't show up in fire and ice) and some of them like featherstorm are shown in starclan during tigerclaw's leader ceremony in the ultimate guide. IF any of them show up alive again in the graphic novel i'll consider adding them back in bc them seemingly dying en masse after they just got their clan back is really weird and sad lol, esp since this is pre carrion sickness
other comments on tigerclaw's ceremony - dawncloud, tallpoppy, and darkflower are all hanging out in starclan beside cinderfur during tigerclaw's leader ceremony. obviously tallpoppy is alive as she is in arcs 2-4, but i guess dawncloud and darkflower could have both like, tripped and died between when they are seen in tigerclaw's fury before he goes to the moonstone and when they appear in his dreams
riverclan:
silverstream - she is tagged with (expecting kits) as she is, obviously, pregnant but is still a warrior as her pregnancy is secret
frogleap, woodkit, and robinkit - they die in the flood this book. mosspelt's litter is not born yet so robinkit and woodkit are never listed in an allegiances but they did briefly exist
mistyfoot - again, reedwhisker is not listed bc i've gone with the tnp timeline for him. her other kits are listed
silverpaw (not silverstream) - likely also dies in the flood? the last time they are ever mentioned, they are trying to keep a den from collapsing alongside shadepaw/shadepelt the first. silverpaw stops showing up in the allegiances after this book while shadepaw and heavypaw continue to do so
greenflower - it's semi-canon that she dies of greencough shortly after giving birth, so she will not reappear again
rippleclaw and emberdawn - disappear after nightstar's first gathering as a leader
windclan:
stagleap and sorrelshine - per onestar's confession, they've rejoined windclan. this could happen later but i just chose to put them back in the clan now. given that pigeonflight does not show back up, he has been disappeared
tawnykit/tawnyfur - like i mentioned in the fire and ice allegiances, she is a kit because she becomes an apprentice in rising storm and a warrior in dangerous path. she is older than gorsepaw, and should definitely be an apprentice already because of the tight timeline between RS and DP, but her mentor tornear still has an apprentice in runningpaw at the start of FoS. it does definitely seem like she's in a background shot in the graphic novel alongside webpaw or runningpaw, but this is just a guess
crowfur - he's an elder who speaks at a gathering but isn't listed in the allegiances. i've listed him
cats outside clans:
shadowclan exiles again get their own group. they return in like, mid rising storm, before whitethroat and littlecloud make a break for it, per tigerclaw's fury
added bailey and retroactively added her to previous allegiances, bc apparently she dies soon before darktail is born
i could probably cut down on the number of kittypets listed, like fireheart & princess' siblings, but ehh. it's a decent reminder that they could, in theory, be encountered in the area

just read through the full thunderclan family tree, saluting you and your efforts so hard right now 🫡🫡
do you have anything in specific in store personality or plot-wise for the first arc thunderclan kitten saves? (cricket, mistle, chestnut, tulip, elder) (besides dying horribly in the plague, of course 😅)
I do! Unfortunately the Plague Victims won't be getting much screentime, but I do have a good vibe on what everyone's personality was. I'll go in order of age,
CHESTNUTFACE is the daughter of Fuzzypelt and Robinwing, and a late birth as Robinwing had some odd fertility issues. She was born with Tulip around the start of Bluestar's reign, putting her on the later end of 4-ish when she died. She was named for a distinct 'plate' shape on her head, which passed down to Dustpelt. They're remarkably similar, but Chestnut was a richer, redder brown.
TULIPFLIGHT is the littermate of Chestnut. He was a darker red-brown with an orange belly, like his mom, and fuzzy fur that he was constantly trying to keep smooth. He was being trained to take over some of the fancier duties of Kitchen Patrol, and his death is a big reason why cooking wasn't so prevalent in TPB. He was a passive, good-humored guy.
The entire family was taken out by illness in Spottedleaf's Plague, with Ravenkit being the only one to catch and survive it. His growth was stunted as a result.
MISTLECLAW is the younger sister of Goldenflower and Lionheart, from a second litter. She was around 2-ish when she died, looking forward to getting her first apprentice. She was snappy like her mom, Speckletail, but there were doubts that she would make a good mentor as she was pretty flighty and easily distracted.
CRICKETCLAW is the littermate of Darkstripe, and the only one of this list who was alive during the Plague and survived. She is around 3 years old at the start of TPB, and was Redtail's first apprentice (so that he did not mentor his mate's sister). She is the 'distinct tabby queen' from canon, but did not have any surviving kits. She's one of the high-ranking members of the Construction Patrol, and was pretty jealous when Dustpelt got a secondary apprenticeship from One-eye. She has a friendship with Goldenflower.
And, lastly,
ELDERBERRY is the littermate of Ferncloud. She's an impulsive little daredevil, ride-or-die loyal with a bit of a sassy streak. Cloudkit was always dragging them into trouble, Elderkit enthusiastically following along, and Fernkit going broke from having to post bail.
(Ken and Barbie meme of Cloud and Elder both being Kens while Fern is the only Barbie)
Elder and Cricket are both planned as kills in the Forest's destruction of TNP, though Elder in particular is open to shuffles as long as she's dead before TBC
#BB!TPB#Better Bones au#I also batted around the idea of doing something with Lynx#But I don't want TPB's allegiance list to get very large since the fun of the arc is how limited the cats are#Adding too many messes with the logistics struggle that makes it such a fun arc#So there's just Cricket
