meiji tokyo renka (or “meikoi”) is a japanese otome game about a normal, food-loving girl named mei who travels back in time to the meiji era and loses all of her memories. she sneaks into a party where she meets many famous historical figures! but when she’s about to be arrested, who will save her? and will it lead to something more—?!

it received an anime in 2019, if this looks familiar to you! i’m translating the game that it was based off of!!

Yakumo: My fairy! I was so worried! Tousuke: You’re pretty close, Yakumoko! Mei, come here. Mei: Huh???! Shunso: Don’t stay there and sit next to Kyouko. Kyouka: You’re really a dumb. Fujita: Too noisy! Y'all keep silence! Tousuke: Oh, Goroko-san! Today you’re very excited, isn’t it? Fujita: You should keep silence first, Momoko. Mei: Huh? Huh?? Huh????! Wh-Why all of you wear Geisha clothes? Also, girls manner? Probably I hit my head? Charlie: Hey, what happen, Mei-mei? Mei: Charlie-san! Why are you here?

NT: Why Shunso is “Haruko”? Because the first kanji in his name is 春 (Haru), then, become to 春子 (Haruko). And Tousuke? Same reason, the first kanji is 桃 (momo) is equal to 桃子 (Momoko).

Did you know? Today, 2 years before, was announced officially the adaptation to anime after an event. Facebook reminded me this in my Memories. x’D So, this drama was in my draft and today its a good day to publish.
