The Moon peeps outside the dark curtains and follows through the darkest roads. To bring in such hue by a human is to challenge the very nature of being mortal. Ghar ka pata - Ye barsaat; toofani nahi, bas maano ek makmal ki chadar sa iss sheher ko lapete hue, inn kaanch ki imaarato pe boond boond, tap-tap sheesho ko channkaate hue. Ye shafaq ka saaya lehrata aur dheere dheere ye shaam, raat hoti hui. Tim-timate inn street lights ki raushni ke beech, ek ghani andheri sadak ke kone par, Baarish mein bheegta main, Sir pe cap aur baazuon mein coat liye. Tapak tapak gir raha barsaat ka paani! Ghamgeen Nahi Hun, naa kahin khoya Hun. Bas tehar chuka hun. Jaise selab sa ban raha hai iss sadak ke band naale par, ussi tarah teharke apne ateet ko bhi sameth raha Hun... Ye selab ab mere takhno tak aa pahuncha hai, rukh kar dekhta hun ke kahin ye mujhko dubo toh na lega. Abbu ne toh haath pair chalana sikha diya tha Bachpan mein, bas aaj iss selab mein chala kar dekhna hai. Inn hi baaton ke darmiyan, Woh Tim-timate, jalte-bujhte street lights bhi band hogaye. Andhere ne jaise shehar pe hukumat karli ho. Ye mahool mein Sab kuch slow motion sa hogaya hai. Mere dil ki dhadkan, mere tang badalte khayal. Woh naale mein behta paani, woh dheeme dheeme rukhti rail-gadi. Khamoshiyo mein jo sukoon sa mil raha tha, woh koi tar-tar ki awaaz ne maano shanti bhang kardi thi. Toofani tezzi se ek auto wala aaya, ruk kar saamne pucha, “kahan ko hai jana?” Ye adab toh kahaniyo sa lagta hai, Bas Ghar toh jana hai. “Ghar kaha hai” ye savaal jab aaya. Toh mann tham gaya. Bas wahi le chalo.
