Part of the duo’s jobs as Purah’s interns are to help with the remapping project of Hyrule after the Upheaval. Link’s the only little man sturdy enough to WANT to be flung out of a modified human canon attached to a cable, I think. (Introducing part of the research team! We have Jerrin, a hylian-sheikah researcher; bilson, a rito bolson employee; and truckson, a tarry town goron.)

The crossover I didn’t know I desperately needed but do indeed desperately need, & thanks to Tears of the Kingdom, we do have Bomb Flowers & all manner of projectiles for Ingo to throw at baddies, or to Link in a pinch! 💣

I’d go back to their original comic now & again (partially because Legends Arceus really reminds me of BotW), where Moth imagines Ingo in BotW Hyrule with the popularly feral Link. In this AU of their AU it’s more or less the same, except Link is cured of his amnesia, & wants to help Ingo with his, as well as help him go home.

hey hey hey, can i be annoying about totk (again) for a second bc i clicked on a totk video that made me annoyed again (it didnt sound like it would be, i dont watch stuff i know i wont like)

a petty little annoyance of mine is when people call the stupid ancient hero dog thing you get as a reward for all shrines a SONAU (zonai)

bc it is NOT, its so clearly NOT a sonau, sure its got greenish skin/fur and is largely dressed in their aesthetic, but it doesnt match the sonau we literally see, at all

sonau -- ancient hero dog thing (that i cant stand)

HUGE, fluffy ears -- hylian ears of normal size

white hair with color accent that matches their magic type -- flat red hair

THREE EYES -- two eyes

no tail -- lion tail (no other species has that?? not even lynels!!)

elongated body similar to zora -- human proportion

human legs and feet -- literal dog hind legs, the shape is not human, literal claws and paw pads

human eyes -- staring eyes akin to an animals (no white? does he even blink or move them? i dont remember seeing that??)

(i dont think the face shape and nose match either!!)

and when i said earlier its LARGELY dressed in sonau stuff? yeah bc the other half is ... gerudo?? of all things??? its got ganondorfs freaking jewel head piece???? plus the red hair, red hair being like THE gerudo thing, and im sure sure theres more aesthetic overlap (this weird missmatch is what inspired that dumb comic of mine that still gets shared, that thing being a weird lovechild of ganondorf and rauru .. probably the most popular post i ever made :I )

that thing is NOT a sonau and its not even subtle and it annoys me, personally

(as much as i hate everything totk, there is one video i saw that theorized the dog thing to be of an extinct race that lived in the depths and was enslaved by sonau to mine their shit, based on the statues underground matching the dog thing way more than any sonau and the miners armor set fitting their proportions, it also being wrapped in chains, which was honestly the only thing i have ever seen about totk i found mildly interesting- channel is 'Macintyre')

I know Rito are noticeably quite taller than Hylians, Cirra and Tanwe are supposed to be really short for Rito and the others aren't fully grown XD

For reference I'd say Revali is like 6'6"/7'0" or something and Teba is closer to like 7'1"/7'8", just from playing around with height charts online and headcanoning Link as 5'3"

I'm watching someone play Skyward Sword and... If the surface isn't Hyrule yet, what is this ancient civilization with the colorful designs and robots? Is is like proto Zonai?

canonically, the answer is that the civilization that exists on skyloft was once on the surface, but. a bunch of stuff happened and hylia sent them all into the sky before giving up her physical form to eventually be reincarnated. so we can generally assume that the evidence of human civilization on the surface comes from before skyloft was established. In late-game there's a lot of evidence that suggests this, but it's never actually spelled out iirc except for in a promo manga, which normally aren't considered canon. (the manga in question WAS released in the hyrule historia, though, which is generally considered the hard-and-fast canon resource for lore. I personally consider the manga like. loosely canon but either way the canon answer to this question is that it was pre-skyloft hylians lol)
