Name ten favourite characters from ten different things (books, tv, film, etc.) then tag someone else. I was tagged by @talika00 thank you! 💙💙💙 (I hope its ok that I made a separate post) This isn’t in any particular order or anything. I think I was tagged in this once but I’ll do it again! 1. Link - The Legend of Zelda series, specifically OOT/MM because he’s my favorite. He’s known for his courage but is also selectively mute, awkward, and much of the time a child trapped in an adults body, with the weight of the world on his shoulders. Inspired by Fionn of Irish Mythology, what’s not to like. 2. Atticus Finch - To Kill a Mockingbird... I mean. It influenced me, as well as the film. We need more characters like this to exist that are done well. He’s really important, and always will be. The only lawyer I care about, lol. 3. Alucard - Castlevania’s Alucard from the Netflix series. Another character gently inspired by Fionn (The sleeping warrior/sleeping solider). I think he’d be an interesting person to talk to if ever given the chance, and there’s a lot more that I want to know about him. 4. Willy Wonka - I prefer the ... original draft of this character, though there are still a lot of mysterious anti-hero elements surrounding him that never really went away. Fun fact, the story was once completely different, he was initially the villain of the story and straight up made a nightmare factory intending to lure kids in and murder them and it happened weekly, the tickets were admission found in candy bars but they were given out a lot more often, so a lot of kids were dying. Look up “Charlie’s chocolate Boy” if you’re curious. 5. Mikasa Ackerman - Listen. I hate AoT upon realizing what the fuck the story is actually about (I wont get into it here). But the bastard author is capable of making some really good characters that you can’t help but get attached to. Mikasa is my favorite, fighting for her family and those she loves. 6. Lady Amalthea - aka, the Unicorn from “The Last Unicorn.” I love her in both the novel and the cartoon- One thing I wish they had left in the cartoon though? When the prince kept trying to perform heroic deeds to try to win her affection and was constant and unrelenting about it, she told him he was no better than the monstrous red bull trying to get her. So he changed; he expressed that he had no sense of true passion or strong identity before he met her, and through her, was inspired to become a hero in her eyes. This softened her and she opened up to him about herself having no identity as a human; so she let the prince create one for her. In his eyes, she was a gentle princess, and so she became one. And he became a hero, to her; and they fell in love. I thought that was really powerful narrative, and it stayed with me. I adore.... connections...and relationships like this. 7. Legolas Greenleaf of the Mirkwood Realm - Worth noting: I love his gentle demeanor and aesthetic in the movies and how fierce of a warrior he is,.... but I wish we still got the rest of his character. I wish he still had that sassy/playful side to him that was scrapped. I wish Gandalf yelled at him and told him he should set himself on fire because he’d better serve the party as a torch. I wish he broke out into a passionate disney princess-esque song (literally, think Moana) about the sea and how his heart longs to cross it. I wish it was pointed out that his dialect of elvish was the english equivalent to a southern accent and Aragorn could barely understand his elvish (Also that they had been friends for decades). I wish there was that moment in the council where he had to say “Uh........ my dad sent me here. We had one job. But. We lost Gollum :/ .....” I know I’m probably not alone in this. He had a very comical side to him and it was lost in the movies. Fucking cowards. 8. Ofelia - Pan’s Labyrinth is the best movie of all time and I love her, and I love her character. She was very believable to me. Even though she ate those grapes; I still love that she wasn’t afraid to take some risks and make mistakes and not do exactly as she was told (since ya know, that was the entire point). 9. Sherlock Holmes - We don’t have enough time in the universe to discuss how amazing this character is; I love nearly all his portrayals. BBC’s holds a very dear place in my heart. Naturally I wish he’d lay off the fucking drugs, but it just went to show the line between genius and madness. 10. Sebastian Michaelis - God damn idiot ... what would my life look like if I never read Kuroshitsuji and was never introduced to this character? I don’t know. I literally don’t want to even think about it, it’s not fathomable.
