(Info & backstories under the cut because I’ve put waaaay too much thought into this)

and again, pls do reblog/tag me w/ your own Outsiders original/self insert characters! (Drawings and/or written descriptions!) Making OCs was one of my favorite things to do as a kid, so I figured it’d be fun to bring it back here lol

(And to reiterate- if enough of ya’ll do this I’ll draw ‘em all together like a greaser-sona gang! So don’t be shy ok??)

-got sent to Tulsa from Seattle in 1961 at ages 13 and 11 to live with their mildly neglectful uncle, due to their mother getting cancer and being unable to properly care for them. Their father was lost at sea when they were little, so they had no one else to go to.

-in Tulsa they go by their mother’s surname, Biondi, instead of their father’s, because interracial marriage isn’t legalized in Oklahoma until ‘67. They try to pass as just Italian. This works better for Naomi, who takes more after their mother than their father in looks.

-Naomi is good friends w/ Ponyboy- she relates to him a lot, from the dislike of fighting to the love for sunsets (legit Ponyboy reminds me of my sister so much irl) (She’s also low-key got a crush on him and Sodapop which is pretty funny)

-Jesse is closer to Two-Bit, Dally, Steve, and Soda. And he really likes fights. They’re exciting and make him feel tough. When he stops to think about it it does make him a little uneasy how much he’s grown to like them, but usually he just ignores that

-Naomi disapproves of crime. Jesse used to oppose it too, but the more time he spends without good role models and parental figures, the more his morels loosen. Tries hard to be a good example for Naomi though

-Jesse met the gang through Sodapop originally- they were thirteen and some Socs were jumping Soda, and Jesse jumped in and helped him out. Soda explained to him what the deal with Socs and greasers is, because there’s no greasers up North

-Naomi met the gang separately through being classmates with Ponyboy. They were working together on a school project, one with him writing and her drawing

-So Jess and Naomi spent a solid few months hanging out with different members of the same gang, completely unaware they had the same group. They eventually end up running into each other at the Curtis house, and both are totally shocked. Two-Bit, who knew the whole time, nearly died laughing

-Naomi is friends with both Socs and greasers, because she isn’t really either- she’s financially a greaser, but she has a crazy high GPA for someone who has ADHD and dyslexia in the 60s, and besides that, she just doesn’t like what she sees as pointless rivalry

-Jess loves pointless rivalry. At least until people start getting hurt. Then he starts to get angry.

Hello! I adore your Concord fic so so much, to the point that it's actually now my favorite Sonic fic. Your characterization for Shadow is fantastic and I'm right there with you in thinking that movie Shadow wouldn't hide how much he likes Sonic or be mean to him, not after how much they bonded on the moon and during the fight afterward. Actually, your characterization for everyone is very on point, and Sonic is an absolute delight. I'm so sad that he and Maria never got to be friends for real, because Shadow (and you) is 100% right that they'd get along like a house on fire lol

Anyway, there's a song that I think fits Shadow and Sonic in Concord perfectly, and I wanted to share it with you! It's called "Stargazing" by Myles Smith, and I think it's especially fitting for this latest two chapters. :3

Also, I don't know much about the Superbowl, but I'm told that they do a lot of cool stuff during it other than just the game and that people have parties and stuff when they watch it, so I hope you had a fun time!

One of the most important things for this fic for me was making sure that the characterization for Shadow was Movie Shadow and not Games Shadow.

Now, of course, Movie Shadow is an adaptation of Game Shadow, there are a lot of similarities. However, his backstory is different, and more importantly his dynamic with Sonic is different. If we're being totally honest, in the movies at least, they don't even have the rivalry thing going on (yet at least). They were legit just straight-up enemies (reluctantly on Sonic's side until Shadow almost killed Tom and Sonic decided to lock in) until the conversation on the Moon, and from there they are (oddly in-sync) allies.

This is not to say I love Movie Shadow more than Game Shadow, I love the both of them for different reasons. Nor do I love Movie Sonadow more than Game Sonadow. They're both wonderful, and both have so much potential. It is very different potential from one another. Game Sonic would have to work double time to get that conversation out of Game Shadow compared to Movie Sonic who had it in all of two seconds. This is fine, and lovely to explore on its own, but it is important to me to acknowledge the difference and write these stories with the difference in mind.

I do plan on writing more fics for them, because oh lord this ship is so fun, and there are so many things that can be done with them. Obviously we've already got the more angsty fic that I'm planning for after Concord finishes (I'll release the first chapter on the same day as the last chapter of Concord), but even more than that I've got a few too many ideas sitting on a doc. I've got ideas for the movies, for the games, and even ones for complete AU fics that would probably use a blend of their personalities from both. I'm mentally ill.

Anyway, holy mother of god are you right about that song fitting them. It's actually kinda ridiculous, and makes me wish that I could draw at all because there is nothing I want more now than an animatic of the two of them with that song for this fic. I'm gonna be sick, thank you.

And, uh, yeah, the Superbowl has got kinda three big parts to it: Game, Half-Time, Commercials. The Game is the big final NFL American football game for the season to see who's the best team. It's the last game in the playoffs. Half-Time is when they have a super famous musical artist do a fifteen-ish minute show during the break that comes after the first half of the game. The Commercials are whatever ads play when you're watching at home, and they used to be really good, big productions with like storylines and stuff, but this year they weren't all very good, and I suspect it might be the use of A.I. but you didn't hear that from me.

I'm not a fan of either of the teams that were in the Superbowl this year (the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs), but I only vaguely dislike the Eagles and I really hate the Chiefs, so I was perfectly happy to see the Eagles win. Any love toward them is gone now that the game is over, though, and I am back to solely wanting to see my own team win.

I really wanna see (if u wanna write it) JTK, Toby, ej, masky and hoodie platonically with a new recruit that’s a child (around Sally’s age, maybe a bit younger, like around 8-9. sad backstory, blah blah blah) but instead of being like fanon Sally (sweet, joyous, innocent) they’re literally just a little shit. Like shenanigans, swearing, pranks and being immature? (Even though they all find the kid strangely endearing and funny) so basically the kid is just a COMPLETE troublemaker, but also have a kinda sweet and soft side like most kids.

I swear he tries to be nice at first. He'll look at them and go "Awe, hey there little g-" "You're ugly as shit." "..." Yeah, someone better get that kid away or they're getting stabbed. Legit just develops beef with the toddler so now they have kind of this rivalry going on. I'm talking full blown prank wars. Everybody is just looking at Jeff weird because you're a grown ass man? And they're a literal child? But the dispute doesn't slow down until one day the kid actually gets slightly hurt because of one of his pranks and starts crying, to which he'll genuinely feel bad and patch them up while apologizing. It's a cute bonding moment.

Thinks that the kid is funny as hell. Doesn't mind it when they sass him, he'll just laugh and pat their head, but loves it when they do it to others. Just the reaction of sheer horror on their face at this 8 year old cussing them out makes his day every single time it happens. Will absolutely help them prank others or just cause trouble in general - they're officially partners in crime now. One night, they come up to him and ask him to check for monsters under the bed, to which he just smiles and ruffles their hair, checking every corner of the room that a "monster" could be hiding in and even offers to read them a bed time story. It's super cute, he's a surprisingly good big brother figure.

Total dad figure. Tries to "reform" the kid and teach them proper manners and to stop messing with others, which barely even works. Scolds them when they misbehave, but nothing too serious, more of a "I'm not mad, just disappointed" kind of talk. Will also apologize to the people they mess with, almost like he's the one legally responsible for the toddler (which he's not). There was one time where he caught them drawing something on the walls with crayons and was about to give them a talking to again, until he noticed it was a drawing of him. He had to stop for a second cause he genuinely didn't know if he should be mad or flattered, but ends up hugging them anyway.

Hates the little shit and asks Slenderman on a daily basis why he recruited them, to which he doesn't answer. Will just kind of drag the kid by the back of the collar whenever they're about to go cause some trouble, dragging them away. He's absolutely not happy about having to babysit, but he can't exactly go against the boss' orders. He doesn't warm up to them at all until they catch a cold someday and he's the one tasked to take care of them. Seeing them so vulnerable and weak made him genuinely feel bad, and he doesn't leave their side for a second until they're fully recovered, even sleeping by the side of their bed.

Another one who finds them funny as shit. Will at most tell them to be careful about not hurting themselves while pranking other people, no actual scolding ever coming from him. I already mentioned that he's good with kids, he's just got that cool uncle vibe to him. He already likes the kid, imagine the one day he walks into his room to see them wearing his clothes, trying to pick up his guitar which was about their size, all because they "Wanna be cool like uncle Brian!"? He might actually cry.

Actually, I've thought long and hard about Richmond's derby rivalries. Semi-canon sources say they have a bit of a West London rivalry with Brentford BUT to me it doesn't make much sense because Richmond are supposed to have been mid-table in the Prem for years, top-flight but mediocre. Brentford only made it to the Prem in 2021.

Actually, I've decided that Richmond kind of take the place of QPR for most of their history, except they didn't get relegated when QPR did. This is because 1) it'd be too many London-based clubs otherwise but, more importantly, 2) when Man City won their first title in 2012 with Agueeeeeero!!! that was against Richmond. It's funny, To Me.

Also you know Roy still fucking hates Newcastle from his Sunderland academy days. If his pundit career had lasted longer he'd be having top tier shithousery with Alan Shearer every week about it.

I legit didn't sleep for the entire night bcs i can't stop reading it's just that GOOD. The quality and lenght of this series are amazing. House of Prince Theo is the base of my fanon Theo. Smart, Observant, Loyal and utterly Scary. Theo who's very devoted with  his traditions. Theo who wield KNIFES. And it doesn't need to be said but Harry is also amazing in this one. He's stubborn, strong, and utterly loyal. Not Dumbledore or Sirius friendly though so i do warn you if you like both of them.

he thinks it’s funny to get on colored pencils’ nerves so he likes to bother him when theyre laser focused on their art or riles them up by pronouncing their name Totally wrong (whether he does it on purpose or legit doesnt remember is anyones guess)

in an au where he got to know her better i think he’d have a big soft spot for olivia and would feel Really Bad abt scaring her even if he tries to play it off at first (i like how super mario kun made him a bit of a softie..like hes a bad guy but not a Bad guy yknow?)

so the funny, super cool and very amusing thing is that I got two (2) pjo related asks like withing minutes of each other! so since you've asked two questions and the other only one I shall give you the ROs as Greek Gods/Goddesses (I thought it best to stick to one mythological pantheon, feel free to ask about other mythologies if you'd like!!) +ROs as demigods ( here )

From Dylan I kind of get Harmonia or Tyche vibes?? Harmony and Luck are kind of staples for their character but I could totally see them as Hestia too! They're kind of the hearth of the group, and their presence is a place to feel safe and at home within!

Shay gives me real Hermes vibes... Hermes has always given me the jokester of the pantheon vibes! Plus Shay being the only one who's actually travelled (excusing J) being the God of Travellers is very fitting! Hermes is also the Messenger God and Shay is quite easily the most open/communicative of the ROs!

So I actually had quite a hard time trying to pin Kinsley down to a God/Godess... My first thoughts are kind of ironic (and iconic) considering Athena and Poseidon's history of rivalry/conflict and Kinsley's theme of inner conflict... So I think I'll stick with the both of them! Kin is so smart and methodical that she's very well suited as the Goddess of Wisdom however! She's also very temperamental, much like depictions of Poseidon (especially in the Iliad) and she can be as vindictive as she can be calm and collected! (bonus thoughts of Khione, Goddess of Snow but Kin's multifaceted so....)

J is Nemesis, the Goddess of Revenge and Balance! It's legit the theme of their arc, so it's very fitting! Though I could also see J as Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt and the Moon. (and if I'm honest, Artemis is actually a real theme for J in the actual story!) or even Themis, the Titan Goddess of Justice!

I feel like Theo is very in touch with nature but they're also very in touch with music so I was drawn between Apollo, the God of Music and Pan, God of the wild. (I would've said Demeter but I don't really get harvest vibes from Theo...) But I think I'll stick with Apollo actually, since music is a bigger inspiration for Theo! Plus, while the Sun isn't a big theme for them, Medicine is! And considering their parents are in the medical field──it's a part of their background!

she thinks Harin is cool and nicer than Lola. When Frankie met her for the first time, she was slightly concerned about the scars all over her neck and she was wondering how she got that but she doesn't want to ask Harin right away because they met for the first time and Frankie doesn't want to make her uncomfortable. They talk from time to time when Frankie was with Johnny (and him with his gang) and slowly Harin becomes comfortable with her

HARIN RANTING TO FRANKIE ABOUT HER PERSONAL ISSUES WHILE HER BEING HARIN'S THERAPIST/SISTERLY FIGURE. Although Frankie is not good at social skills, at least she can comfort people when it comes to them ranting to her, especially Harin. Overall, Frankie thinks Harin is the nicest greaser ever :3

not gonna lie, she wouldn't even notice her (but she does notice Harin sometimes, it's just that Charlie wears headphones all of the time and doesn't notice most of the people :/) but when Charlie sees Harin, she thinks Harin is like the rest of the greasers, tough and imitating as everyone says about the greasers. But as Charlie gets to know more about Harin and slowly trusts her, she's surprised that Harin is super kind and Charlie actually wondered if Harin was in a wrong clique (her personality didn't match with the rest of the greasers). Overall, Charlie thinks that Harin isn't really a greaser but she likes her for being really nice and not being a completely total bitch like SOMEONE...

They were never getting along due to the rivalries of the preps and the greasers, and Barbara used to think that Harin was mean and a bitch like Lola and pretty much treated her a little badly (but not in a classist way). Barbara used to glare at her while walking when she saw Harin and believes all the rumors of Harin because it sounds believable and legit. But 8 weeks later of being a Harin hater, Barbara considered changing her views of Harin after seeing her being really nice to someone (that someone is FRANKIE!!! surprised, surprised ^_^). Now, she isn't hateful and hostile towards Harin but she doesn't interact with her because she doesn't want another argument with the preps, it makes her want to smack them. Overall although the two are somehow rivals (but not actually really are), Barbara doesn't hate Harin anymore and considered her as someone who's misjudged by her

Today I played Roblox Total Drama and beat someone at the midgame "win this challenge to get back into the game" bit, and I guess I accidentally created a rivalry for the ages because they, along with their other friend who got voted out, waited as spectators until I got voted and then proceeded to just LASH OUT, except one of them kept getting caught by the Roblox filter, and the other was using speech to text, and obviously I could tell I was being insulted but I don't think I've ever been so confused about what insults were actually being hurled at me. Even the comprehensible ones were just baffling? Like one was just, something about a build a bear? I legit didn't know what to say I was just in awe.
