Toriko x DC Crossover

(idk if it will count as a proper crossover but I think it will be funny)

So Starjun (doesn't matter the age other than it is at least a few years after the events of the manga) finds himself in the DC universe one way or another

While he was having a walk he met Kon who doesn't seems to have a parent whit himself and doesn't look (or smell) to have eaten in a few days at least

And Starjun immediate reaction is "Absolutely not" . Resulting in him starting to aggressively parent Kon despite not knowing any of the DC universe languages . As a result Kon is extremely confused why this behemoth of a man is trying to feed him , even if he isn't going to refuse as he doesn't really get given all that much food by anyone

Starjun just thinks that the kid distribution system(like the cat distribution system but for kids) finally found him . His kid even has black hair just like him and Midora(his Dad/grampa) so obviously he is his .

He is also trailing his kid to make sure none of his hunts end up badly(aka his being hurt) , but his kid might be a seiseiya(gourmet police) of some sort so he needs to be careful what animals he hunts to not make him angry or sad .

Also he needs to find or make his kid some better clothes, the one he is wearing looks like they'll fall after a only slightly serious sparing and that is no good , it needs to be better

Now if only his kid will stop trying to throw himself into fights with people more powerful than himself it will be great but until then he will be helping

So I have over 80,000 words of half-finished fanfic (two Toriko fics, one Transformers with an OC) that I've been working on for a WHILE, and then not working on for a while longer, and I would love to get those finished. So I am actually? Writing??? Right now, I have made minor progress on the next chapter of the Demon AU, and it's about halfway done, so. Progress!

Like why exactly was Toriko a leashed beast hm

Toriko says earlier that all the leashed beasts kept here are extinct species brought back through genetics or hybrids created by science. Now this doesn’t mean all leashed beasts are genetically tampered with, but we could easily take that statement and the Toriko was a leashed beast statement and the fact that we know they did do experiments on Coco to wonder if IGO may have experimented on ALL of the heavenly kings to some extent.

And the way he says it makes it very clear that he doesn’t feel positively about the experience. This wasn’t like a young toriko wanted to fight and prove his mettle against all the beasts and fighting in the colosseum was a fun little treat he got to do

Was it just part of the training generally that Ichiryu had him and the other kings do? Did they just have to show up at the coliseum and fight sometimes, or were they given the full Leashed Beast treatment of being confined to this facility, although presumably with less animalistic conditions?

I don’t think it’s a stretch to posit that if toriko fought in the coliseum the others did as well. And we know that Coco was experimented on by the IGO scientists, and they tried to lock him up for good. There may have been a time where each of the kings were kept, or perhaps they were supposed to stay in the lab but Coco, as the only one poisonous, was the only one they really tried to enforce.

Like this is a hell of a throwaway line. I think about the implications a lot.

I have had the idea for this au for quite a while . And it's perfectly sumurized in those words -

Ex-assasin Komatsu . And a Legendary assassin at that mind you .

And just the shinanagans that happen on the back seat because of it . Like after the meteor garlic arc Match or/and Livebearer in quiet horror as they realize who they were talking to just now .

That person (Komatsu) being a legendary assassin that has been inactive for around a decade that most people thought either died of old age or from someone getting very very lucky but not daring to collect the bounty in fear of meeting a similar end .

I am going to give memes now and maybe tomorrow more info . Also there is cannibalism in the memes .

I think it’s incredibly unfair that people in the otherside picnic fandom regularly act like Toriko is brainless. Is she smart? Not especially. But when the other major characters that you can compare her to are a woman who is so autistic that she memorized everything about every even mildly popular scary story on the internet, a neuroscientist, and an ex-yakuza who has been dealing with the supernatural events of the otherside since the 90s, it’s unfair to her to see the disparity in knowledge and call her dumb. She could tell you more than you’d ever want to know about guns and military equipment and how to use them. But because her areas of expertise aren’t as prevalent to the story and because she’s the blonde woman who happens to know the least about the supernatural events that are main focus of the books, she gets a fandom reputation of being dumb and brainless.

Me again, but with something different!

I was watching KN8 right after rewatching Dungeon Meshi n was like "BUT WAT IF-"

Since it's a random thought I don't have much other than bone basics XD

Kafka - Failing Dungeon diver who in an attempt to get stronger to be of better use, let the wizards under the Lord's forces combine him with a monster, but they botched the spell a bit. So now their not sure if he can be of use or is a threat due to his unstable body.

Mina - A skilled dungeon diver who's made it further than anyone, earned the title of Dragon slayer. She an Kafka promised to defeat the dungeon together and is still waiting for him to join her. Is most talented in long range magic

Kikoru - island lord's daughter, wants to defeat the dungeon to protect her home (those under the Lord won't let him close it despite the dangers of letting it grow) definitely has talent in combat magic.

Soshiro - An Elf who was sent to scout the dungeon and report back, but joined Mina's team instead. He's not as good at magic as is expected of him, but excels in combat, and what little magic he can use is focused on his physical skills. Mina thought that was amazing and asked him to join even knowing he was just a scout for the elven kingdom.

I haven't watched Dungeon Meshi so I can't give a very solid opinion but this honestly sounds accurate for the cast. The only food anime I've watched is Toriko. (Fandoms I'm more aware of are here.) @popipopipopipopipo000 would definitely be interested to hear this though since I know they are in both fandoms.

hey so like. i normally don't do shipping on this blog but this has bothered me all my life.

is it just me or have the toriko fandom ships... never really had names that took off? so here's my question:

i think 90% of the ones i've seen are just their names. occasionally the overlapping/joint name thing, if their names start/end with similar letters? Like I think I saw people call them 'Torikomatsu' but that was YEARS ago. Like, 2014-2016, maybe?

I doubt anything's changed but I'm curious.
