Hiii can I request a reader that plays otome games? Like reader plays a game that’s basically like lads and how the guys would react to that. Would they not care, would they be jealous? Zayne is pretty secure in your relationship but that doesn't mean he doesn't get jealous. If you're starting to spend more time playing your game then with him then he'll start asking if the game is really all that fun for you to be ignoring him so blatantly. He's not genuinely angry at you of course but he is teasing you about it.

You reassure him that you love him and this is just a game that you don't really think about that much. He believes you but sometimes he'll be more than happy to distract you if it means getting you off your phone to spend some time with him. If your favourite character resembles him though he'll be a little more forgiving since he's kind of flattered.

Xavier doesn't like it. He subtly disses the character and asks if he's really all that interesting. You think it's cute how Xavier pouts a little, not outwardly saying that he's jealous of the character but he definitely is acting like he is very jealous. He looks at you pointedly if you're playing the game on your phone, asking if you really needed to do that right now.

You can tease him about being jealous but he won't ever admit it. He might just get a little more possessive with his touches and tell you that your favourite character really can't compare to him since he's a living, breathing, person. He doesn't like hearing about your fake men so you don't talk about it around him.

Rafayel is definitely jealous but in a playful manner. He knows that you love him and that you just like the game as well. He'll watch you play the game, rolling his eyes or declaring how it's so boring and he doesn't understand why you're still playing but for whatever reason he's also a little intrigued as he watches it while laying on your chest.

Sometimes he'll ask you how your "affair" is going, treating the whole thing light heartedly. He is still jealous to an extent but it's nothing that's wildly different from his typical demeanour with you.

Sylus doesn't really care. He knows that he can do whatever it is that digital character does for you way better. However, that does mean he's going to also get a little more possessive, reaching for your hand or wrapping an arm around your waist.

He doesn't like it when you play the game in bed, taking your phone out of your hands as he pulls you on top of him. He'll ask you with a slight mocking tone if you really think that character can love you the way he does - reminding you of his feelings for you with a deep kiss.

Giyu:

He's honestly a chill gamer and mostly just there to have fun and make friends. But never really chats with anybody unless someone talks to him first.

He duo's with Sabito a lot on games. Whatever games Sabito recommends to play, he'll play it. Sabito mostly carries him in FPS ( first person shooter ) games.

One time Sanemi and Obanai were on the enemy team and they won. He would be confused on why they would curse him out every time in the chat saying he was to 'easy' or that he sucks.

Sanemi:

Plays a lot of video games especially during his childhood. He would share his DS or Gameboy with Genya a lot during their childhood.

Mainly plays FPS games or any combat games. Literally anything competitive.

Mostly duo with Obanai in FPS games. He would curse Giyu out with Obanai anytime they would be on the opposing team.

Tries to play with Genya and he tries his best to not rage but eventually he does either at the game or at Genya. Ironically tells Genya not to play games like that anymore because people in the lobby can be toxic.

Would get in trouble a lot from yelling so much at the game at night.

Obanai:

Has played Overcooked with Mitsuri many times. He does not yell at her at all and is super patient when they do not get any stars on the hard levels. They would plan strategies together on how to defeat a level.

Sometimes plays FPS games but only when Sanemi asks him to get on. Will type mean things in chat with Sanemi whenever he sees Giyu on the opposite team.

Misturi:

Has so much fun playing overcooked with Obanai and they are so close to finishing the game. Would make comments about how if she were to drop food in her restaurant she would not serve it to her customers or how she would love to make a recipe like that in real life.

She would play cooking games like Cooking Mama or Good Pizza, Great Pizza. Would literally give a generous amount of toppings on Good Pizza, Great Pizza and would already have 5 stars in her restaurant.

Plays other games like Episode or The Sims or Just Dance. Would have the cutest family in the coziest home that she made on The Sims. She would also be really good on Just Dance.

She would also play Otome games because men irl suck and Obanai won't confess to her yet.

Tengen:

He would be really good in Osu! or any rhythm game. Has also played Fortnite Festival and has the top score in all his friends lists.

Duo with Rengoku often in FPS games. He would also have a big ego when playing any competitive match. "I'm a god in this game"

Rengoku:

Plays a couple FPS games and duos with Tengen.

Plays with his little brother and helps carry him in any game he needs. Usually just loves to spend time with his little brother and plays whatever game he wants.

Played with Sanemi and Obanai a couple times. Sanemi would yell in the mic and have his ears ringing so Rengoku wouldn't notice how loud he actually talks on the mic until Sanemi yells at him.

Shinobu:

Not the biggest fan of playing video games on her free time.

I don't know why but I think she could have fun playing horror games or likes playing chill games like Stardew Valley.

She tried to play an FPS game and played the role as a healer and never picked up the game ever again.

Muichiro:

Would have a hand me down of a DS or gameboy and have loved video games every since.

Have played a lot of video games and plays a lot of games that are trending.

Right now he plays a lot of Minecraft and Roblox.

Teaches the Kamaboko Squad on how to play. They would have a realm and try to beat the enderdragon together.

Gyomei:

He's blind but I feel like the kids would include him in an game they play. I feel like he would like playing story games where choices matter. He would carefully pick the choices and actions so he can save all the characters.

I feel a massive, MASSIVE cringe when all of an otome game's cast is made entirely of rich, powerful, smart, handsome, godly perfect men who for some reason at the tender of 20 are already at the top of the world and the best in their fields. The only difference between them are some quirky personality tropes but remove that and they're basically dolls from the same mold. I know it's just blatant pandering for self-inserts and OC ships to drive revenue, but it feels like they're suggesting that regular people are unlovable. That somehow women (or people who like men) are incapable of being attracted to and caring for, idk, a guy who works as a teacher and makes the best of his regular life. A florist who names his bouquets after you. A cook who, though tired from work, would make delicious dishes to greet you when you come back home.

I know this sounds silly given my ultimate bias is exactly what I stated above, but in TWST, the rich powerful smart men are a minority. There are three guys out of 22 who are explicitly considered by the entire cast to be universally handsome. Most are just regular dudes trying to live their mundane lives. And I appreciate that. A lot of players appreciate that and love them for all their plainness and flaws.

Or idk maybe stepping out of my teenager years just completely changed me. But GOD I was waiting for some guy who has nothing much to give but his earnest love and kindness. 😭

To cite the fact, I recently purchased some comics from DL sites, which according to wiki already have over 9 million global users in 2022. There are many popular otome comics, CDs, sounds and games available online where you can buy them. As you've probably read, those comics are quite famous. You can see that the first place is yandere, the second place is non-con, and the third place is sweet love story. I did a quick count, and one-third of the top 100 are non-con, dub-con, and yandere content. That is almost the most popular and best-selling content theme in otome around the world. I guess that proves something.

Women…not just women, people's sexual repression and shame are quite evident around the world. Sex cannot be mentioned or discussed in the public sphere, let alone your desires, which are not accepted. Many people who have CNC kink are people who have rape fantasies. If the protagonist is forced to take away, overwhelm, in the fantasy, then there will be less sexual guilt because you are being forced.

David W. Wahl Ph.D. points out in "Understanding and Indulging in Rape Fantasy":

In Lehmiller’s (2018) survey results of 4,175 adults in the United States, he found that two-thirds of women in the study had rape fantasies and half of the men surveyed reported having rape fantasies.

the otome gacha “Love and Deepspace” made a shit ton of money last month and apparently it scared the guys on gachagaming so shitless their thoughts instantly went to “being replaced by sexbots” for some reason. Does this happen when any all female gacha or female banner would top the charts? No, I’ve never seen women immediately make paranoid posts about being replaced with sexbots when this happens or discussing “well it made money, BUT….” I’ve seen men think women will freak out en masse about the thought of being replaced by some “sexbot” but I’ve never seen it actually happen, at least not as much as men freak out and think it’s the end times when like…a gacha game with a male cast makes a lot of money. It’s very telling.

I posted this here for a few examples in english/more western SNS of what we’ve been seeing while looking at the specific incel groups in South Korea and to a lesser extent China recently. Some of the posters may even be from those communities, in which case it’s also worth it to note how these ideas may travel from community to community. A big one is “this doesn’t count because the money is actually not even from women to begin with it’s from (male in her life)” - in this way it doesn’t matter how much or how little the game makes, the financial success will always be due to the powerful finances of a man. they flatter themselves thinking they own the industry in this way, even the games that pander to women. Newer ones I’m seeing are “actually it only makes this much money because men can spend on different gachas/vtubers(?)/games and this is the only thing women can spend on,” and “women are really hard to market to that’s why no one does it” - the first one you can tell is coping. the second one is also ridiculous as the reply says, women spend on male character banners and merch like crazy and the data is, again, right in front of you. The panic of “I hope this doesn’t catch on globally 😰😰😰” from the OP in one of the replies is funny but reminiscent of the “(if there are) men don’t play (the game)” fear of “genshinification” of gacha where male characters pandering to female players will be increasingly be added to gacha games.

Finally (and I’ve mentioned this in previous posts)I added the last one because it’s something I’ve witnessed frequently in all of these “communities,” if there must be male characters in the game they need to be “manly” and “masculine” - these things meaning looking strong, buff, built “proper men.” they will describe Genshin/mihoyo male characters as “femboys” or “twinks”, on a related note I have no idea how that term has gotten so far away from its original meaning and community that these anime nerds throw it out left and right like it’s nothing. You are probably looking for the term “bishounen”. anyway this poster says “women want masculine men” and I’ve seen a lot of guys say this regarding these games though the data absolutely does not show it. this is just the type of male design that they want because the bishounen male that panders to women in “their” game makes them uncomfortable. Look at the male characters who are designed for women in these games. Project Sekai, Ensemble Stars, Genshin, etc. they’re typically lithe and beautiful, mischievous, cute looking. Look up the type of fanart women and girls from a big target market like China make on Lofter, they’re not making these guys in the western ideal of “proper masculine man.” But frequently I see guys pretending the majority of women hate these types of designs that they actually hate. I mean you can already tell what kind of guy this is when he writes “modern woman is not feminine” lol. But there is absolutely a consistent hatred shared between all these men from different communities on male characters that pander to women in this way, part of this is definitely hating the fact that this character has been made for the female audience who they don’t even want playing the game.

So the way I picture this is that the Bridgertons are sentient at least the ones in the game the spouses downloaded. They just want the one thing that their code has been written for, love.

But with each new player, and each story told as their games progress, they just never felt that spark. Sure many of the players claim to love them but the Bridgertons don't believe it. It all comes very repetitive and mundane. They feel more like actors in their own world than they do as people.

Colin groaned when he heard the sound of the music. Someone was downloading the game. He really hoped they would choose one of his siblings so he could sleep longer. A holographic screen appeared by his face causing Colin to groan louder as he pulled his blankets over his face. He was sure that same screen was appearing in front of his other siblings which means Anthony is going to demand they all gather in either the drawing room or the dining room. It's too early for this.

"Huh, Bridgerton: A Regency Romance," a voice said. "Let's see what this is about."

Colin lowered the blanket just enough so his eyes could look over at the screen. His curiosity peaked by the siren like voice. The blanket fell into his lap as he looked at the who the voice belonged to.

A red head sat on her couch searching her phone, probably tyring to look up the game. She was dressed in a tank top and shorts, her hair pulled back.

An excited gasp left her lips at whatever she was reading and she turned to something or someone out of view.

"Wait we can play multiplayer?" The one the red head called Mickey asked. He grinned at the red head. "How many Penny?"

Penny looked down at her phone. "Up to eight, one to take on each route in the wingman mode."

"Wingman mode?" Pip asked as he looked over the red head's shoulder. "Huh is there a rival mode too?"

"Yeah," Penny answered. "Says here in multiplayer mode you can verse off in the story in a love triangle or help one another out as each other's wingmen."

Mickey laughed. " I know what we're playing for game night with the others! Let me go text the others so they know to bring their controllers!"

Francesca's eyes traced Mickey as the disappeared from the view of the screen. Eloise crawled off the bed like she wasn't also just staring at the screen. "Um, I'll go tell Anthony we'll have a multiplayer game soon."

"Can't we just go have dinner like normal people already?!"

A cacophony of ten people shushing Isaac fills the mansion's foyer. As if gathered to watch a play at the theater, all residents concentrate their gazes on the…big doors of the entrance. Which is not the most interesting thing to watch, next to maybe watching paint dry, but Isaac keeps those thoughts to himself, not wanting to be scolded again.

Theo is seated down at the second step of the stairs, hammer in hand. He was the most enthusiastic one about putting their plan into action, having worked the hardest to made it true. Meaning, he nailed up half of the mansion's windows, leaving the other half to the others. Which included having to prevent some from moving Mozart's piano to block the piano room's floor-length windows, just because it's easier that way.

The plan? It's simple. After last year's broken door fiasco, it's time to get back at Dazai.

Last April 1st, a certain mischievous purple haired writer (and his partner in crime, MC, that noone is mad at, because, well, she is MC. They suspect she was bribed somehow) decided it would be fun if he put a sign DOOR BROKEN - USE OTHER DOOR on each and every entrance of the mansion, thus making ten men resort to climbing up through the window in order to get inside - and in the process, having them commit the most infamous Dazai crime there is, becoming no different than him.

This time, the tables have turned.

"The tables… oh, messieurs, how about I bring the dining table here, in the foyer? I'd hate to make you wait for your meals."

Unlike Isaac, Sebastian is not aggressively shushed by the rest of the people in the room. But much like them, his desire to watch the historical event of master Dazai entering through the door (diary at the ready - what diary? Noone sees a diary. There's no diary) wins the battle against his reasonable thinking process. They have to put a hand on his shoulder and comfort him that it's ok, and the table can remain where it, is in the dining room.

Theo fidgets with the hammer, as if preparing to swing it with full strength at the door, the moment it opens.

At some point, MC rushes in from the kitchen along with Vincent, holding out large bowls of popcorn to the others.

"What if he got kidnapped?" MC munches worriedly on her popcorn, staring at the door.

"Nah, what is he, an otome game protagonist? He's fine."

Theo nods, agreeing with Arthur. It's truly heartwarming to see them bonding in their shared hate for Dazai. In moments like those, it seems like Theo hates Dazai even more than he hates Shakespeare - who is by the way also invited to witness the spectacle, and Theo is not at his throat, which is quite something.

MC shakes her head, their questionable dynamics are not what's important right now.

"You're all too cruel… what if he never returns home again?"

…

"What if he never returns home again?" she repeats.

…

"You hate him THAT much?!"

MC sighs, shoving more popcorn in her mouth. She thinks of the good times spend with Dazai… well, they're not many, but…

Another hour passes by, seeing the residents playing card games sprawled at the top of the stairs. Leonardo is napping nearby in Comte's lap, the latter reading a book. He even bought his coquettish little binoculars he uses when at the opera, just to witness better the moment when his naughty child enters the mansion. Sebastian is wiping the stairs' railing, the squeaking sound of the rag being the only background noise in the foyer.

Isaac hugs his legs, leaning against the nearby wall, a small smile appearing on his face.

"Do you remember when Dazai brought a living chicken into the mansion?"

"Man, that was some good soup."

"Monsieur Napoleon, I'm sorry to inform you but that chicken never got cooked."

"What, you lied?"

"I had to teach him a lesson. Who knows what animal he would've returned with, next time."

"You have a point. But hey, what about that one time when he swapped everyone's pets from their rooms? I think he was just trying to cheer us up."

"Theo ended up traumatized by finding a cat on his bed." Arthur reminds sharply.

Theo grips the hammer in one hand, continuing to hold his cards in the other.

"Well, yes… but it's the thought that matters, no?"

"Once he sneaked up in the university and gave all my students apples, so I ended up having my whole desk buried in apples…"

Isaac scratches the back of his neck, hiding the hint of nostalgia that came with the memory. The gesture was a little sweet despite everything, but still, he won't forgive the writer for doing that!

"He stole my eyepatch once."

Everyone goes quiet. The unspeakable.

"Seems like he's done something bad to all of us, huh…"

"That's why he deserves to be publicly embarrassed by entering through the door. Get your minds right."

"But Theo! We're too cruel to him! He might truly never return home, and then all those memories…"

A couple of heavy sighs resonate through the spacious room. If there is something holding the ability to soothe Theo's temper, it has to be Vincent - and those words are a little too hard to gulp down.

Theo turns the hammer in his grip, its claws facing forward. He gets up on his feet.

"Okay, okay, fine. Let's get those windows open and go have dinner or something. I have better things to do anyway."

Then, suddenly, the entrance door opens.

Everyone turns their attention to the place, Comte grabs his fancy little binoculars, Theo turns the hammer the other way around (with no real intentions of throwing it, hopefully).

A man clad in a tuxedo suit walks in, his polished shoes producing few thuds against the glossy flooring as he casually enters and then turns to close the door behind him, as if it's the most natural thing in the world. Wait, it IS the most natural thing in the world.

"D-Dazai? Is that you?"

Dazai turns in the direction of the voice, hand moving to slip inside his hakama out of habit, and when not finding it there, he opts for crossing his arms in front of his chest instead.

"MC? Oh, everyone else is here too? Is something the matter?"

"Why the hell are you dressed like that, you clown?! And why are you walking through the door as if it's nothing? Where's the look of defeat on your face?!"

"My, my, Theodorus! Why, where should I enter the mansion from, if not the door? Where do you enter from, Theodorus?"

"Did he just say his full name?!"

"Do you find something strange about me calling him by his full name, Isaac?"

"ISAAC? WASN'T I APPLE-KUN TO YOU? WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT?"

"Apple-kun? Do you prefer I call you that, instead? Because you love apples that much?"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

"He clearly hit his head somewhere. Maybe if we hit him again he'll go back to normal."

"No, no, gentlemen! I haven't hit my head anywhere! I'm simply a changed man since today. I wanted to surprise you all by entering through the door tonight, thinking that sadly noone would be around to witness… but look at you all lined up to see me! What an honor!"

"He even combed back his bangs… is this really our Dazai?"

Arthur blinks, then points a finger at Dazai. "Chap, you're telling us that we didn't have to spend all day nailing up the windows?!"

"You've done…that? What other mischief have you been up to, since I was gone? Tsk, tsk."

Arthur is about to have an aneurysm. And he's not alone.

"Let's just go eat."

"Yeah."

The foyer that was full of people just a second ago is now all empty save for Dazai and MC, the former still not quite getting what is happening - or rather, pretending to be confused, while secretly feeling so satisfied with himself he could rip his suit apart and start running around. He hasn't had that much fun in awhile. But he won't break character so soon.

And the latter, standing there out of genuine confusion with whatever just happened; but also…

"I'm glad you're okay, Dazai-kun."

"Why wouldn't I be?"

MC hugs Dazai, not really feeling it necessary to answer his question.

"This suit looks good on you too…"

Alternative cursed ending:

The setting is bleak and at times a little hopeless, but the writing and story is top notch. There's a free version of it, but there's also a redux version if you've got cash to burn. - A Cinderella Story: One of the original Western indie otomes, I believe. I remember this for the excellent character development for the main character and excellent fairy tale-inspired plot. - Nightshade: One of the most gorgeous otomes I've ever laid eyes on. One of the saddest, too. Tragic story. Play this only if you want to replace your dead ex with another dead ex. Possibly die yourself in multiple horrible ways. You're welcome. - Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds: The granddaddy of otomes. I assure you, you will have forgotten all about John Soap McTavish by the time you finish this game and its sequel because that's probably a decade from now. Slow burn, plot-heavy. Came for the hot samurai men, stayed for the history lesson. - Mystic Messenger: only play this if you are willing to let it consume your life. These fictional boys are DEMANDING. Found in the app store of your choosing. - ITYH: A Horror Otome: Absolutely unhinged. This otome contains cannibalism, kidnapping, and sexual trauma. Beautiful in the way literature of gothic tragedies is beautiful. Definitely not for everyone. Definitely one of my favorites. Please exercise caution if you wish to play this game and enjoy the ride if you do.

Cultural Notes

This little gag is based on Chile's national holidays. Let me explain what the characters are referencing

Fiestas Patrias / 18 de Septiembre / Dieciocho

Literally translated as "Patriotic Celebration", also called September 18th or just "Dieciocho" (The 18th; no matter the time of the year, if someone talks about the 18th they're talking about September). Marks the date of the First Government Body (18th) and Day of the Glories of the Army (19th). Not our independance? Well, that's in February, which is summer over here, so it was decided it would be a waste to have a holiday on a time of year where people already rest. Having our biggest holiday during winter let's us have a break we can look forward to while we work. Remember the end of year Holidays also fall in Summer here.

The actual holidays last two days, but depending on when it falls in the week, we might also get the 17th or 20th off. On top of that, celebrations don't start on the official calendar holiday but at the very start of September and going strong until the last day (be it the 19th or 20th), after which we spend the rest of the month hung-over resting from all the celebrations. If you're thinking about visiting Chile, this is, in my opinion, the best time to soak in the culture and have fun.

Fonda

A fonda is a traditional gathering done during September as a way to celebrate our culture. They take place in the open (though they often charge an entrance fee) and have different activities to pass the time: food booths (the main attraction, very meat focused), traditional games, music and dance, and rodeos (though the younger population has been calling for them to be banned since they rely on animal cruelty for entertainment).

Terremotos

An alcholic drink made with low quality white wine, grenadine and pineapple ice cream. The name literally translates to 'earthquake' because it leaves you shakey and dizzy like an earthquake (we would know ;)).

Cueca

Our national dance. Traditionally composed of pairs of men and women, though same sex pairs aren't frowned upon. It's inspired by the mating rituals of chickens.

One pie de cueca (cueca foot) is a short one minute song that follows a defined dance pattern. A complete dance is three pies de cueca.

IM HEARING SO MUCH ABT THE NEW DRAMA TRACK ON HYPMICTWT BUT WHAT THE HELL EVEN HAPPENED IN IT....

a lot lol!!!! some spoilers below:

the most plot relevant stuff i can think of off the top of my head (i’m letting it stew before my next listen lol)

since the mics are offline and it’s causing issues gentaro takes initiative and goes to ichiro with his infamous documents and reveals he knew rei’s name was yamada rei this whole time

genbro was taken out by the special forces in some manner

even if we don’t know whether or not gentaro and his bro are twins as per the popular hc, gentaro refers to him as his older brother

the true hypnosis mic is the center of the drama so ichiro requests they take this info to jakurai as well

we get a nifty party of ichiro gentaro and jakurai investigating leads to find a way to turn the mics back on that eventually leads them to rei’s lab i think??? a facility of some sort that they need clearance for and jakurai calls hitoya to get said access

these four, as the block party is underway, find a computer guarantee to have info they’re looking for but it’s too secure for gentaro to hack into

ichiro says the password is 0123 and yep it sure was lol

we learn yamada mama’s name is nayuta

gentaro jakurai and hitoya are called away because the block party has been crashed and ichiro is left behind with whatever information is left on this computer

running practically simultaneously, rio learned that the chuuoku women have been arrested from kubiki and, rather regretfully, tells samatoki and juto he can’t participate running the block party

upon relaying why, samatoki is worried for nemu so he tags along with rio to infiltrate the prison where rio’s commander should be

in a wild coincidence, dice happened to have been hanging out with mtc during block party preparations to eat rio’s food and had passed out in a food coma lol. after rio and samatoki left for the special prison, dice, very sombrely, left to follow them

samatoki and rio successfully infiltrated the prison, with dice shadowing their every move, and find otome and ichijiku locked up

we see rio get very angry when they act cagey about iojaku’s whereabouts

samatoki and rio split up so samatoki can check if the cells house nemu and rio can find his commander

it’s after they’ve left that dice comes in and frees otome and ichijiku

nemu had been planning to break otome and ichijiku out this whole time and her mission just so happened to run at the same time as rio’s lol so samatoki and nemu run into each other

ofc samatoki’s happy to see her but samatoki questions is this really the path nemu wanted to make??? but samatoki softens up and is always ready to help if she needs it

rio finds iojaku in his cell and out of his mind. he’s banging his head against the cell when rio finds him and unresponsive to rio but he is secured

iojaku does seem to regain some consciousness as they leave the prison tho

and the block party, all’s fcked lol honobono showed up with her squad and brought the tobari bros and the men they amassed along for the extra fck this shit up goal she had lol

of those left at the party (2️⃣3️⃣🐰🍭🥂👔🎋🍮📿🌙) saburo, ramuda, dohifu, rosasa and jyushi were urged to get to safety. rosho tho, pissed that the party’s been ruined, charges into battle and sasara follows after him with a mic stand as his weapon

but it was a lot of people for five guys to contain so the damage done was great

the tobari bros wind up finding some of guys who escaped, one of which was ramuda, and the burly tobari actually starts choking ramuda for standing up to him

he’s saved by jakurai and co arriving at the scene and jakurai makes quick work of the thugs surrounding them

the frieza tobari got away from jakurai but kuukou was on his tail and he’s also shortly beat down

brave soul hifumi goes to confront honobono and upon hearing hifumi still sees her as a friend, she’s a little disturbed to hear it actually

she’s seen enough tho so she retreats and it must turn the tide as well since the bad guys are out commission as well

the party is ruined tho, as jiro and saburo lament, but kuukou gathers the crowd and makes the pro performers, sasara and jyushi, kick off the show

rosho too, gets up on stage with sasara and they perform a comedy skit together ;w;

it does become a stalling game as they split performances based on who’s here in order for ichiro to make it back to the party

said man has found rei at their old home where the five of them used to live

the confrontation leads to what sounded like an absolutely brutal fist fight as ichiro wants rei to turn the mics back on and rei refuses to do so

at some point rei i believe reveals the 2nd drb was a test to find someone who can use the true hypnosis mic

i didn’t catch all that was said but throughout the conversation rei expressed a very defeatist mentality, but ichiro beats (literally) his words into rei that changes his mind to reactivate the hypnosis mics

it is a reckoning bell for the 3rd drb tho

with the mics back on ichiro leaves rei behind to catch his slot in the performance and rei nurses his wounds watching the block party alone in this ruined house by their fight

ichiro goes on stage tho with the hypnosis mics online again and signalling a hope

and lastly, back with otome, ichijiku and nemu, as the three get their bearings and muse what’s the next phase, otome, moved by dice’s words to her as he freed her, tells them that she’s retiring from politics

Hagen! CEO of multinational millionaire company Pax Group, *pushes Vyn Richter's eyeglasses* our lovely sus psychiatrist, and of course the stoic (tm) Artem Wing, best lawyer and our MC's boss.

And uhhhh Luke Pearce? 🥹 Hahahaha *begins laughing then breaks down crying*. His love story with MC is unique and each men has their flavour. I first thought Artem was going to be on the first podium for my fav LI but then I got deeper to the story and found Luke and Marius instead. 😉
