Does anyone have any tips to help stop yourself from comparing your artwork to others, or equating your value as an artist with likes and reblogs?
I've struggled with this for a while and it's getting old, I don't know how to just shrug it off. Any genuine advice would be nice
#its just bygging me bc i know rationally they dont matter i knoe they dont#but i still feel it in my bones that im not good enough because my work doesnt circulate on platforms#i paint for fun and then i post and i get these feelings and theyre so goddamn annoying#i know to just keep posting anyway and try to enjoy the ride but my Depression Brain is such an asshole#i wish it would be quiet#i never used to feel this way either until likes and reposts/reblogs became so integral to social media#on top of needing commissions to get by while looking for work and attending school soon#idk maybe this is just a vent and ik no one can Fix it that simply#i guess im just speaking 2 the void rn and maybe others feel the same#*bugging#and i really am so grateful just to know anyone likes it or comments on it and reading feedback really really means so much#but i feel like unless im pumping out specific fandom stuff that doesnt really happen#but the negative thoughts and feelings can b rly strong sometimes and im just tired#im sure this is a depression thing too#hoping i can get into therapy thru school but it depends on finances as everything else in this world does 🫠#ill keep going tho#and please if you are someone who does comment or reblog and say something about the work please do not ever stop#it means so much to me and others im positive it does#i see you and i appreciate you so so much#thank you and thank you to anyone who reads or comments some ideas

shout out to this movie for teaching me how to spell words that i've never found the opportunity to use in real life lol
#i hope it's very obvious that the jump rope is in the shape of the letter 'B'#also i attended an all black school when this movie went to theaters#so you Better Believe that every black girl there around my age knew how to spell p-r-e-s-t-i-d-i-g-i-t-a-t-i-o-n. 'prestidigitation'#(that's correct!)#akeelah and the bee#is perhaps a top 3 iconic keke palmer movie and i can still probably recite a Ton of scenes from this movie#tho i will say it Got Old being a black girl who wore glasses and being called 'akeelah' when this movie came out lol#my art#artists on tumblr#keke palmer#the anatomy may be wonky. but i don't even care anymore! i had like more than 5 potential jump rope poses that looked even worse than this#this was as good as it got (and i used a reference from Another classic keke palmer movie- jump in!)#huh. if i had a nickel for every time keke palmer starred in a movie with a spotlight on black youth culture and jumping rope#i'd have 2 nickels. which isn't a lot but it's pretty funny

Naeceles is hilarious to me because you can tell Makoto doesn't buy into any of the nonsense Celeste is spewing most of the time, not because he is stupid but she says such inane stuff and seems like she lives in her own little fantasy world that he goes "Ok yeah sure" to everything she says.
But she has such a passion for it that he can't help it and try to help her achieve it.
"Yes, your real name is Celestia Ludenberg, yes you're from French and German descent, yes all those stories you tell me are true, oh you want me to become your knight so I can spend the rest of my life with you in a European Castle with Butlers/bodyguards dressed as vampires? Sure, why the hell not? Anything for you honey"
Meanwhile Celeste is down bad for Makoto.
#Danganronpa#Makoto Naegi#Celestia Ludenberg#Taeko Yasuhiro#Naeceles#Trigger Happy Havoc#THH#School Mode#DR#Literally their School Mode ending is basically a marriage proposal#'Let's stand at each other side at the top of the castle forever' real subtle there Celeste#And how Makoto speedruns from a D-Rank to nearly a B-Rank and has the potential to be an A-Rank#When apparently she never found anyone close to a B-Rank#It's ok Celeste you can say you're in love nobody will judge you...much

I got the ‘obsessed with fictional characters autism’ AND the ‘science autism’
This is great in theory except that I. I do not have the ‘math autism’.
These things (math + science) usually go hand in hand for a reason 😭
#GODDDD how am I gonna make it as a physicist I’m so sucks at math compared to other STEM majors 😭😭😭#it’s so funny too bc like. I’m not even bad at math. like I’m not. I got all A’s throughout middle and high school#and all but one class (which I got a B instead in) in college so far#THEN I hit calculus and the first time around it KICKED MY ASS#in my defense. the professor was objectively terrible.#I mean. like two students out of all of her class sections passed that semester (somebody asked and she told us)#obviously I was not one of them#but I’m taking calc again now and it’s going a lot better#but it still takes EFFORT. I need to be NATURALLY GOOD AT IT I NEED TOOOO#<- guy who spent literally his entire school career sailing through with top grades#I only ever had to work A LITTLE at the math classes#but now I have to work my ass off just to pass tests in this stupid class I hate it here (I’m going to continue to pursue it)

Going through pics on my computer and deleting a shitload and I completely forgot I used to simp for sehun. Idk how I forgot but he’s so fucking sexy idk something about him is just so attractive I wish he could’ve had a solo or a subunit with him and luhan omg.
Also going through some of them is hard and sad cause it reminds me of all the groups I loved when I got into kpop and everyone was alive and weren’t horrible people as far as I knew I was just happy with b2st and big bang and teen top and exo and u-kiss and looking back is really weird cause they either went to jail or went through a bad divorce or died idk it’s crazy. I am happy for the older idols that did get married and are happy tho. I cut out so many songs that I don’t listen to cause I just can’t bring myself to listen to those songs anymore and it sucks cause they’re all so good and I have so many memories attached to them but idk some of the memories and songs make me bitter and some of the past members I do my like now or they pissed me off cause of what they did and I just miss the days where I didnt know
#so much has changed I just idk#exo#shinee#big bang#tvxq#dbsk#b.a.p#b2st#u kiss#co-ed school#infinite#block b#bangtan#bts#teen top#kpop
