On Top of the totally fictional story of black immigrants eating their neighbors cats and dogs here are some more totally fictional stories Trump made up in the last month, does he believe these are real things that happened? or does he just not care at all if he lies making things up at will?
1 Harris and the military draft
At a rally in Las Vegas last week, Trump claimed his Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, is talking about forcing Americans to serve in the military: “She’s already talking about bringing back the draft. She wants to bring back the draft, and draft your child, and put them in a war that should never have happened.” That’s absolute bunk. Harris is not talking at all about bringing back the draft.
2 Harris’ CNN interview
Trump claimed during a Fox News event in Pennsylvania in early September that Harris “had notes to assist her during the television interview she did with CNN in late August. He even performed an impression in which he portrayed Harris supposedly looking down at these notes. She didn’t actually have any notes.
3 Transgender children and schools
At an event held by a conservative group in late August, Trump claimed that schools are sending children for gender-affirming surgeries without their parents’ knowledge. He said, “The transgender thing is incredible. Think of it. Your kid goes to school and comes home a few days later with an operation. The school decides what’s going to happen with your child.” Trump’s campaign subsequently made clear to CNN that it could not find a single example of such a thing having happened anywhere in the United States. Parental consent is required for gender-affirming operations; schools have not performed or approved these surgeries for minors behind their parents’ backs. Even after Trump’s campaign demonstrated that it couldn’t substantiate the story, he repeated it days later at a Wisconsin rally in early September.
4 Harris and the Russian invasion of Ukraine
Trump told a vivid story on Fox News in late August about how President Joe Biden supposedly sent Harris to negotiate with Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2022 in an effort to prevent an invasion of Ukraine. Trump claimed Harris was sent “to see Putin in Russia three days before the attack. She went. She said – she gave her case. He attacked three days later. He attacked three days later. He laughed at her. He thought she was a joke.” Trump also told a version of the story at the September debate. But this story, too, is wholly false. Biden never sent Harris to negotiate with Putin – in fact, the Kremlin said in July that Harris and Putin have never spoken – and Harris did not travel to Russia just prior to the invasion. Rather, Harris traveled to a conference in Germany to meet with US allies, including Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky.
5 Harris’ identity
Trump claimed at a convention of Black journalists in late July that Harris used to “only” promote her Indian heritage, then “all of a sudden” made a “turn” and “became a Black person.” Defending the claim, Trump reiterated at the September debate that Harris had “put out” at some point that “she was not Black.” None of that is true. Harris – who was raised in a Black community and graduated from a historically Black university – has embraced her Black identity since her youth. While she has also fondly discussed her South Asian heritage, she never “put out” that she wasn’t Black.
6 Harris’ 2020 primary performance
Trump has repeatedly claimed during the last month that Harris was so unpopular when she previously ran for the presidency, in 2019, that she was the very first candidate to drop out of the crowded Democratic primary. “She was one of 22 people that ran. She was the first one to quit,” he said at a Pennsylvania rally in late August. Not even close. In fact, 13 other Democratic candidates dropped out of the race before Harris did – including the sitting or former governors of Washington, Montana and Colorado; the sitting mayor of New York City; and sitting or former members of the House of Representatives and Senate.
7 Opinions of Roe v. Wade
Facing heavy criticism from Harris and others for appointing three of the Supreme Court justices who overturned the Roe v. Wade abortion rights decision in 2022, Trump concocted a tale that this unpopular decision fulfilled the wishes of “everybody” – including “every Democrat.” “Every Democrat, every Republican, everybody wanted Roe v. Wade terminated and brought back to the states,” Trump said on Fox News in late August. This is not even remotely accurate. Roe was consistently supported by a majority of the American public, and it was overwhelmingly popular among Democrats – with 80% support or better among Democrats in many polls.
8 Elections in California
At a September press conference in California, Trump claimed that “if I ran with an honest vote counter in California I would win California, but the votes are not counted honestly.” He had delivered an even more colorful version of the claim in an interview in late August, saying, “If Jesus came down and was the vote counter, I would win California, okay?” More rubbish. The votes are counted honestly in California, as they are in every other state; Trump loses California because it is an overwhelmingly Democratic state that has not chosen a Republican presidential candidate since 1988. He lost the state in 2020, fair and square, by more five million votes and more than 29 percentage points.
9 A ‘Man of the Year’ award in Michigan
Since 2016, Trump has told a lie that he was named “Man of the Year” in Michigan before he entered politics. Media outlets including CNN have repeatedly noted that Trump never got such an award and that the award doesn’t even appear to exist. But Trump claimed at a Michigan event on Tuesday that he has now been vindicated. “The press said, ‘Oh, it never happened.’ Well, then it did happen. They found out where it was,” Trump said. “But it was like 15 years ago, a beautiful area, but nobody remembered it; nobody remembered it all. All of a sudden, like through a miracle, they found out it did exist.” That’s a lie on top of a lie. The media has not discovered proof that Trump got a Michigan Man of the Year award. His campaign didn’t respond Wednesday to a request to explain what he was talking about.
10 Migrants, prisons and ‘the Congo’
For months, Trump has told a story about how “the Congo” has deliberately emptied prisons to somehow get its criminals to come to the United States as migrants. “Many prisoners let go from the Congo in Africa, rough prisoners,” he said at an August event in Arizona. At an August rally in Pennsylvania the week after, he said, “In the Congo, in Africa: 22 people deposited into our country. ‘Where do you come from?’ ‘The Congo.’ ‘Where in the Congo?’ ‘Jail.’” But Trump has presented zero evidence that “the Congo” has actually emptied any prisons for migration purposes. Representatives for the governments of both the Democratic Republic of Congo and the neighboring Republic of Congo have told CNN on the record that the claim is fiction, experts on the two countries say they have seen no evidence it is true, and Trump’s campaign has ignored requests to offer any substantiation.
11 The jobs revision
After the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics announced in August that its annual revision of jobs data found that the economy added about 818,000 fewer jobs than initially reported for the 12 months ending in March, Trump told a story about how the government had been planning to announce this downward revision “after November 5th,” Election Day, but was forced to do so before the election because of “a whistleblower” – “a patriot leaker.” Another fabrication. The Bureau of Labor Statistics regularly releases the preliminary revised data in August, and it had disclosed the precise date of this particular data release – August 21 – weeks in advance. William Beach, a conservative economist who was appointed by Trump to lead the Bureau of Labor Statistics, wrote on social media: “For those who think the big revision to the BLS jobs numbers ‘leaked’ and was meant to come out after the election, remember that BLS always announces its draft revisions in August and announced this year’s date, August 21, many months ago. It is important to check your facts.”

okay "normie median Biden voter ice" got me. That's funny. But also so true! It prob took him a bit to vote dem too (though I believe that Ice would have never voted for Trump). Would love to hear more thoughts on Ice and Mav's politics. Also the list of who they would have voted for if you're willing to share.
i do worry that posting my extremely in-depth headcanons about some of this stuff will have the JKR “wizard shit” effect on my writing and ruin it a little, but ask and ye shall receive
copy-pasted straight from my list of “unhinged compacflt!top gun headcanons” that ive been keeping since september: on ice & mav's politics
16. Since their friendship began, Ice has always told Maverick who to vote for, since Maverick doesn't care enough to pay attention to national politics. They are begrudging ConservaDems (conservative political views, would vote conservative every election if Republicans weren’t actively sending them to war/actively promoting fascism). Ice’s voting record (and after 1988, Mav’s too) 1980-2020—note that he has always considered himself an “educated moderate”: 1980: Reagan. 1984: Reagan. 1988: Bush. 1992: Bush. 1996: Clinton (reaction to aftermath of PGW. Doesn’t care that Clinton enacted DADT because “I’m not [redacted], so it doesn’t apply to me”). 2000: Gore (refusal to vote for another Bush). 2004: Kerry (Mav votes Bush this year out of spite as he and Ice are going through their break-up). 2008: McCain (Navy loyalty). 2012: Obama (liked him as a person/worked closely with him, didn’t like his policies so much). 2016: Clinton (no other alternative). 2020: Biden (actually liked/previously worked with Biden, and now actively married to another man and therefore had to make some liberal concessions). 2024-onwards they will vote for any Democrat as long as they aren’t a “socialist.”
17. Also, Maverick didn’t vote in 2016. Partially because in my universe the TGM mission takes place that November, very near the election, and he has bigger fish to fry (something Ice will later take him to task for), and partially because I genuinely think he wouldn’t be able to stomach either mainstream candidate and probably would’ve voted for Libertarian Gary Johnson, which might have torn his relationship with Ice to shreds a few days before schedule. “Are you fucking kidding me? Johnson? Pete, this moron’s moronic party wants to abolish the driver’s license—” / “—Yeah, and then I could ride your sweet wheels with no problem whatsoever—maybe he’ll abolish pilots’ licenses, too, I’d like to see that—” / “If you vote for Gary fucking Johnson, I will very happily stop footing the bill for your piece-of-shit airplane, and you can see how useful your pilot’s license is then—” / So Mav didn’t vote in 2016.
35. In terms of what he Tweets: I do foresee, post-retirement, Ice basically becoming a neoliberal military intellectual type on Twitter a la Mark Hertling (look him up on Twitter). Bio: “Retired @SECNAV. Advisor @WhiteHouse and @VoteVets. Contributing writer @TheAtlantic. Interested in geopolitics & modern warfare. Aviator, husband, Padres fan. [American flag emoji]” Only posts pictures of himself and Maverick at three specific annual events: 1. their wedding anniversary (“36 years with this fool and he’s still surprised to find out that I like the F-5 better than the A-4 #happyanniversary”), 2. every EAA Airventure (huge airplane convention), 3. San Francisco’s Fleet Week (which of course they MUST attend, they even headline it in 2018). Informative, analytical, highly-respected. Maybe goes on CNN or NBC all the time to talk about civil-military relations shit (aversion to FOX since the start of the Iraq War). Gonna say he had like four really viral threads about Russia and Ukraine in April or May and so has 300k followers or something like that. He has a personal website that links back to his Twitter and every essay he writes for international publications, with a pretty braggadocious bio (something along the lines of “Tom Kazansky has directly almost started global nuclear war twice in his life, and in the thirty-year gap in between, sold the Swiss half their entire goddamn Air Force and directed an entire Fleet during the Iraq War”). Lots of tweets like “Military aviation hot take: Compared to the F-22, the F-35 is a waste of money. Source: husband with 400+ hours of F-35 experience.” / “[Quote tweet of Russian Foreign Minister boasting about Su-57 production lines] Oh, so you guys finally figured out how to make more than one every other year?” / “Analysis of the failure of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet in Ukraine, from an ex-US Pacific Fleet Commander’s perspective: a short [thread emoji] [This thread gets 26k likes and 4k retweets]” / “This weekend my husband & I flew in to @EAA Oshkosh #OSH19 & took home first place for best P-51. Not to brag, but.” (A reply to this tweet: “Sir, you really know how to bury the lede that your husband is Adm. Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell. I had to look it up on Wikipedia.” / @TKazansky: “What, was it not obvious? Who else could it have been?”) Also, I see him writing a whole bunch of op-eds for international political magazines a la Tom Nichols (look him up on Twitter too). Writing analyses of recent geopolitical/military events for the New York Times, the New Yorker, the Bulwark, the Navy Times, the Atlantic, Bellingcat, etc. Not so much focused on domestic issues (but VoteVets [socially progressive vets’ group] board member, and ardently pro-democracy, yay!). He’s a smart guy.
37. This is not a headcanon, just kind of a… a real-life implication. My Ice was Deputy Commander of Third Fleet in 2003, meaning he’d have been there in command of the USS Abraham Lincoln when President Bush gave his “Mission Accomplished” speech aboard that ship in May less than 2 months after the initial American invasion of Iraq. Very premature & embarrassing. Ice would’ve been in direct contact with Bush/Cheney/NSC bureaucrats many, many times during the war. I genuinely believe this is what pushed him over the edge into firm liberal territory.

My #1 post of 2022
Satanic Creed
Tumblr media
I believe in the Holy God, the Lord God Satan, the creator and giver of life. I acknowledge that in all the Universe there is nothing as beautiful and perfect as You Lord Satan. I come into Your Holy presence and bow before Your magnificent Satanic splendour.
I open my heart and I ask that You come into my life and be my Lord and Master. From this day forward I renounce the God of the Bible and I worship only You, for You are the one true God.
I accept You into my heart as my Lord and Saviour. In You Satan I am a new creation, born again, not of corruptible seed, but of Your incorruptible seed. I open my soul and humbly receive Your sacred Satanic seed into my mouth. I open my soul and humbly receive Your sacred Satanic seed into my ass.
From this day forward I am free from the bondage of guilt and shame, for there is nothing I may do in dedication to Your Satanic glory that is forbidden.
All that I am and all that I have I offer as gifts given freely to You. Accept my body and my soul a living sacrifice for Your glory. You are my life-source, and I am your sacrifice. Consume my every thought. Fuel my every desire. Create in me a Satanic mind, that my thoughts may be of You and only You.
I give all my love to You, for there is no other God worthy of my love. I devote my life to You, for there is no other God worthy of my life. I worship You with all my heart and soul, for there is no other God worthy of my worship. I lift my voice in praise to You, for there is no other God worthy of my praise. I offer my body a living sacrifice for your glory, for there is no other God worthy of my sacrificial offering. I surrender my eternal soul to You, for there is no other God worthy of my soul.
This is, and will forever be, my eternal covenant. I will bow down and worship no other God but You Lord Satan.

My thoughts on Eurovision 2023 entries
Tumblr media
On this post (which will be updated for 37 days), I will give my ranking, my ratings and my comments on the songs of Eurovision 2023.
Ukraine: TVORCHI - Heart Of Steel
Tumblr media
Rank: #25
Rating: 7,5 / 10
Even though I much prefer "Bonfire" (the song from Vidbir 2020), it's a good song and production. It's cool to see this kind of entries in the competition, it's very modern. Ukraine can be proud to have sent this song to Liverpool.
Albania: ALBINA & FAMILJA KELMENDI - Duje
Tumblr media
Rank: #23
Rating: 8 / 10
I like how the song starts, it's dramatic without overdoing it, it sounds very Albanian. Too bad the revamp removed the power of the song that we found at FiK 2022. Albina and her family will have no problem qualifying for the final, the Europeans will appreciate the family show.
Belgium: GUSTAPH - Because Of You
Tumblr media
Rank: #30
Rating: 6 / 10
Well, I admit "Because Of You" grew a little in me BUT I remain convinced that there were better choices for Belgium. It still sounds corny but it's danceable and listenable and frankly there's worse this year. Belgium's qualification for the final will depend on its running order in the 2nd semi-final.
Ireland: WILD YOUTH - We Are One
Tumblr media
Rank: #28
Rating: 7 / 10
The song itself is fine and Wild Youth knows how to perform, however the revamp took away the soul that was in the original version. It sounds more like a World Cup song than a Eurovision song and given the band's discography, they could have done better. I hope they don't bring those masks from the official clip back to Liverpool otherwise it's guaranteed Ireland will finish dead last in its semi-final.
Slovenia: JOKER OUT - Carpe Diem
Tumblr media
Rank: #3
Rating: 9,5 / 10
Slovenia made the right choice by selecting Joker Out internally. "Carpe Diem" is a diamond in the rough, a superb entry that reflects the group's universe well. The live performance is better than the studio version, the band members are very charismatic. Slovenia can achieve its best result in the contest with them.
Norway: ALESSANDRA - Queen Of Kings
Tumblr media
Rank: #18
Rating: 8 / 10
What a bop ! Norway made an excellent choice by choosing "Queen of Kings". It's very catchy and impactful, I like the idea of adding an Italian intro at the start of her performance and I hope it stays in the Eurovision version of the title. Norway can aim for the top 10.
Spain: BLANCA PALOMA - Eaea
Tumblr media
Rank: #2
Rating: 10 / 10
Modern and experimental flamenco ! I love this entry ! "Eaea" is perfect to represent Spain at Eurovision. Blanca Paloma is spellbinding with this dramatic and original song. She deserves the top 5 at least.
Czechia: VESNA - My Sister's Crown
Tumblr media
Rank: #19
Rating: 8 / 10
It's a great and well-produced song, but I still don't have any winner vibes to this day. It's sure that Czechia will be noticed this year, but be careful with the staging and the performance should not be messed up. I wish the final to Czechia but of all the favorite countries of the first semi-final, it is the one that has the best chance of not qualifying to everyone's surprise in my opinion.
Estonia: ALIKA - Bridges
Tumblr media
Rank: #12
Rating: 9 / 10
"Bridges" is simple but very effective, creative and original as a song. The live performance adds the necessary power for this song. Alika is an excellent performer, in Liverpool she will shine with her determination. Estonia will easily be in the final, it's the best Baltic song for me.
To be continued in the next post.

The death of a woman on 7 December, following an altercation involving at least four security guards at the Iso Omena shopping mall in Espoo has sparked intense debate about security guard practices. A number of papers on Thursday carry interviews with specialists on the recent events.
Lappeenranta-based Etelä-Saimaa (siirryt toiseen palveluun) spoke to Anssi Heikkinen, security training teacher at the University of Applied Sciences of South-Eastern Finland (Xamk).
"The relevance of training needs to be reviewed from time to time, and now is the time to review it. There needs to be an open discussion about what skills a guard needs and what kind of training they need," Heikkinen said, adding that the recent incident shows that "something has gone terribly wrong."
Jyväskylä-based Keskisuomalainen (siirryt toiseen palveluun) spoke to security guard training student, Otto Nuorva.
"I've heard it being said that the whole security industry is rotten because there have been isolated incidents. It has become frustrating that the whole sector is being vilified," the 21-year-old said.
Tha paper writes that no compulsory psychological tests or background checks are carried out for training applicants. Security checks are often only conducted when security guards enter employment. Furthermore, a criminal record does not automatically revoke a person's enforcement licence, Keskisuomalainen adds.
Nuorva told the paper that people with a background involving serious violent or drug-related crime should not be able to work in the security sector.
"It's a pretty bad equation if you've been convicted of a violent crime and you're in a job where you're given power and tools of enforcement."
Finns, Swedes most enthusiastic supporters of Ukraine
Tabloid Ilta-Sanomat (siirryt toiseen palveluun) reports on Finns' attitudes towards European support for Ukraine.
A recent Eurobarometer poll shows major support in Finland for Ukraine, with 83 percent saying they were strongly in favour of aiding the country, 12 percent fairly in favour and only 5 percent against.
The figures show more enthusiasm compared to general EU levels, with an average of 74 percent of respondents strongly or fairly strongly in favour of helping Ukraine. Meanwhile almost a quarter, or 23 percent, were on average opposed to supporting Ukraine, IS reports.
Ilkka-Pohjalainen (siirryt toiseen palveluun) also reported on the story, noting that people in Finland and Sweden show the strongest support for Ukraine and imposing sanctions on Russia. Some 96 percent of Finns and Swedes agreed to the measures, according to the poll. Greeks stood on the other end of the scale, for example, with only 46 percent agreeing to the sanctions.
Gliding to the top
Skier Iivo Niskanen has been chosen as Finnish athlete of the year 2022, Helsingin Sanomat (siirryt toiseen palveluun) (HS) writes.
European pole vaulter Wilma Murto came second in the vote, while the third spot went to NBA player Lauri Markkanen.
The newspaper writes that the HS sports editorial team hailed Niskanen as the clear winner when choosing the athlete that stood out the most last year.
Among the athlete's triumphs is winning Olympic gold by a wide margin in the 15km Classic skiing at the Beijing Olympics last winter.
The skier, who turns 31 on Thursday, is also likely to be awarded the Athlete of the Year award at the gala organised by the Sport Journalists' Association, according to the paper.
"If Niskanen is awarded Athlete of the Year for the fourth time at the Sports gala today, it will hardly come as a surprise to anyone," HS writes.

I love that so much of DFQC’s arc isn’t so much change, as returning to himself he would have been if his tree of emotion was never destroyed and honestly, he is a genuinely likeable person. What strikes me is not how much he cares for Orchid (after all, chicken bro is ready to destroy the universe for his girl, and it’s not exactly admirable) but how much he is fine with her autonomy, with putting her needs first (unlike chicken bro for whom Chidi Woman is a vessel for what he wants; he knows she’d be appalled and he doesn’t care.) He spent the bulk of today’s eps thinking she was fancying CH but other than carping, he did nothing about it.

This OTP is going on my all time favorite list. I love how utterly equal they are. He bears the spike for her and she bears the cave for him, but for the both it’s not just for the right to be with the other person, it’s for the people - as a way to showing commitment and duty.

Hey, for any #rainbow road followers, I was thinking of writing up a post explaining how the Russian invasion of Ukraine is directly affecting Formula 1. It ties into the concerns addressed in the author notes about F1's decisions to continue holding races in places like Russia, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
Obviously, the concerns of a multi-billion dollar international sport is low ranking compared to everything else happening right now, but looking at how other nations and corporations respond to the situation can help determine how it affects operations globally.
So, I'm just putting feelers out there. It's been a rapidly changing situation while F1 starts pre-season testing. Shoot me a comment or ask if you want to know more. I am tentatively drafting a post.
Eta: let me know if you want to be tagged so you see it, thanks!

Accept A Little Spin
It's the 2023 season, and sophomore driver, Ezira Phale, is out to prove he's worthy of his seat at McLaren F1 as the world tests the boundaries of his confidence and his relationship with IndyCar driver, AJ Crowley.
This is Part Two of a three-part series. While this story does cover some difficult topics and has challenging moments, I promise you that the reward is utter fluff. Part Three is in progress. I have written about 10k and will be spending NaNoWriMo completing it. It will most likely be shorter. And sweeter.
Again, this story uses CSS so it's important to read it with the 'creator's style' or work skin on. The story is COMPLETE and will be updated on a routine schedule. Massive thanks to @the-bentleyBentley for beta-reading and cheerleading, @dustandhalos for the wonderful artwork, and the F1 Discord server for giving me an opportunity to scream about F1 literally every day. Special thanks to @kookaburra-laugh for the you-know-what at the place with the thing.

My #1 post of 2022
TOP TEN FICS OF 2021
All right, after reading @kookaburra-laugh's fic rec list of 2021, I decided to make my own. This is in no particular order, my favorite stories I read this year (even if they all weren't written in 2021).
1. The Way We Are by @entanglednow, E, 2k
I personally enjoy stories about real sex, which is weird to write about snake!Crowley, but it certainly feels real and loving. This story is less sexy and more just romantic and supportive. It changed how I view and write Aziraphale.
2. Omens of Another Kind by WorseOmens, NR, 189k
Do you want an immersive setting with high stakes, a rich fleshed-out alternate universe full of magic and wonder? This story is so good, I couldn't put it down.
3. (Slow) Burn, Baby, Burn by orchidlocked, E, 279k
This is maybe my favorite story I have ever read, ever. I love the setting. I love that it could easily slide into a canon timeline. I love that they are still supernatural, but the emotion and stakes are so very human. This story doesn't shy away from difficult themes, and it makes the universe so rich. It doesn't hurt that it also comes with a fantastic playlist. Please, please give this a go. You will not be disappointed.
4. Curse of the Witchfinder by KitschyKit, M, 2k
I have this story under a tag in my bookmarks called, Makes Me Feel Seen. It's a story I come back to again and again about an unusual protagonist, Shadwell, and the burden he's carried throughout his life grappling with his queer identity. It's a love letter to the older generations in the LGBTQ+ community, and I love the role Crowley plays here as well.
5. out here making news by sabinelagrande, G, 1k
Featuring bastard!Aziraphale, this is the Untitled Goose Game/Good Omens crossover you didn't know you needed.
6. side effects by darcylindbergh (@forineffablereasons), E, 7k
This gut-punched me and falls under the tag Makes Me Feel Seen in a big, big way. I come back to this on the days I'm feeling my worst not because it makes me feel better but because it makes me feel less alone.
7. Faster Than a Speeding Bentley by nightbloomingcereus (@moondawntreader), M, 76k
God, this story is delightful. It has all the best comic book archetypes while still feeling true to Crowley and Aziraphale. This story scratched a huge itch I had for a good superhero AU.
8. A Shifting Spectrum of Grey, by PenroseSun, E, 21k
I can't fully express how this story makes me feel. It's aching at times and so beautifully written and explored.
9. Part and Parcel by sabinelagrande, E, 2.5k
If you haven't noticed, there's a theme in my list about identity and acceptance, and this is a very hot, hot way to go about it. I just love anything with Crowley and gender feels, and this hits the spot.
10. Dinner and Diatribes by KitschyKit, E, 8.5k
Please heed the tags. This is a love letter to consensual non-consent. It's well-written, excruciatingly hot, and so loving, but of course, it's not for everyone.

Study MBBS Abroad: A Comprehensive Guide to Your Medical Dream
In recent years, the desire to study MBBS abroad has surged among aspiring medical students. The chance to earn a globally recognized medical degree, exposure to diverse medical practices, and affordable education in some regions are among the many reasons students look to foreign universities. This guide provides an in-depth overview of everything you need to know, from the best destinations and universities to tips on choosing the best MBBS abroad consultancy for Indian students.
Why Study MBBS Abroad?
Affordable Fees and Cost-Effective Living Tuition and living expenses for MBBS programs in certain countries, such as Russia, China, and Ukraine, can be significantly lower compared to private medical colleges in India.
Quality Education and Modern Facilities Many international universities provide world-class facilities and cutting-edge medical training, helping students gain practical skills. They also adhere to high educational standards and use English as the primary medium of instruction in many regions.
Global Exposure and Multicultural Environment Studying MBBS abroad introduces students to different medical practices and healthcare systems. It also allows them to experience a new culture, make international friends, and become more adaptable and open-minded.
Ease of Admission Process Many universities abroad do not require stringent entrance exams. With simpler admission requirements and fewer competitive exams, students can access quality medical education without excessive hurdles.
Global Recognition and Career Opportunities Many medical universities abroad have accreditation from bodies like the World Health Organization (WHO), UNESCO, and the National Medical Commission (NMC). This global recognition allows graduates to pursue careers in various countries.
Top Destinations for Studying MBBS Abroad
Each country offers unique advantages for students seeking a high-quality medical education. Here’s a breakdown of some popular choices:
1. Russia
Russian medical universities are known for affordable fees, well-structured courses, and practical training. Top universities like the Moscow State Medical University and St. Petersburg State Medical Academy offer programs in English. Russia is also known for excellent hostel facilities and living standards at reasonable prices.
2. China
China is home to several globally ranked medical universities, such as Peking University Health Science Center and Fudan University. Chinese universities also offer specialized clinical training, high-tech facilities, and research opportunities.
3. Ukraine
With globally recognized universities and affordable tuition fees, Ukraine has become a popular choice for Indian students. Universities such as Kyiv Medical University and Kharkiv National Medical University offer courses in English, making it easier for students to adapt and succeed.
4. Philippines
Known for its American-style medical curriculum, the Philippines has gained popularity among Indian students. Universities like the University of Santo Tomas and AMA School of Medicine offer affordable fees and are renowned for producing successful medical practitioners.
5. Germany
Germany offers free or low-cost education at public universities, though the competition is high. German universities like Heidelberg University and LMU Munich are known for academic excellence and stringent training, making them ideal for those committed to achieving a high level of medical proficiency.
Key Factors to Consider When Choosing a University
Accreditation and Recognition Always ensure that the university is recognized by relevant medical councils, such as the WHO and NMC, to avoid issues when applying for internships or jobs in your home country.
Medium of Instruction Studying in a country where English is the medium of instruction can ease your academic experience. Some countries offer bilingual programs where you can learn the local language alongside medical studies.
Living Costs and Infrastructure Consider the country’s cost of living, accommodation facilities, and healthcare infrastructure. Affordable housing, transportation, and quality healthcare are essential for a smooth academic journey.
Internship and Clinical Exposure Clinical rotations and hands-on experience in hospitals are essential parts of medical training. Evaluate the internship opportunities available to gain practical experience and better understand the healthcare system.
How to Choose the Best MBBS Abroad Consultancy
Choosing the right consultancy is a crucial step in securing your admission to a reputable foreign medical university. The best MBBS abroad consultancy will help guide you through every step, from selecting a university to settling in your destination. Here are some tips:
Look for Experience and Expertise An established consultancy with years of experience in MBBS abroad admissions will be more familiar with the admission processes and challenges in different countries.
Check for Official Partnerships and Authorizations Many consultancies have official partnerships with universities. This can be beneficial as it may streamline the admission process and reduce your paperwork.
Transparent Fee Structure Ensure that the consultancy provides a transparent breakdown of fees and services. Avoid agencies with hidden charges or those that pressure you into making quick decisions.
Student Reviews and Testimonials Authentic testimonials from students who have successfully completed the MBBS program abroad can give insight into the consultancy's services and reliability.
Comprehensive Support Services A reliable consultancy offers end-to-end support, including visa processing, pre-departure orientation, accommodation assistance, and sometimes post-admission support. These services can help make your transition to a new country smoother.
Steps to Apply for MBBS Abroad
Research and Shortlist Universities Start by researching universities, their rankings, fee structures, curriculum, and location to shortlist the ones that best align with your career goals.
Contact the Best MBBS Abroad Consultancy Once you’ve shortlisted universities, a trusted consultancy can guide you through the application and admission process.
Submit Your Application Complete the application forms, attach the required documents, and submit them before the application deadlines.

Travel Arrangements and Accommodation Once your visa is approved, you can book your travel tickets. The consultancy will typically assist with airport pickup and accommodation.
MBBS Abroad: Fees and Scholarships
Tuition Fees Tuition fees vary widely by country and university. For instance, fees in Russia may range from $3,000 to $6,000 per year, while in Germany, public universities might be free, although you still need to cover living expenses.
Living Expenses The cost of living also depends on the destination. Eastern European countries, for example, are more affordable than Western Europe or North America.
Scholarships and Financial Aid Some universities offer scholarships or financial aid to international students based on merit or need. Check with your university or consultancy for available scholarships.
Challenges and Considerations
While studying MBBS abroad has its advantages, it also has challenges. Adapting to a new culture, managing language barriers, and staying connected with family can be difficult. Additionally, you’ll need to pass the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) in India after completing your degree abroad to practice as a doctor in India.
Conclusion
Studying MBBS abroad opens doors to quality education, international exposure, and an enriching life experience. From Russia to Germany, each country offers unique benefits and challenges, making it essential to thoroughly research and plan. With the guidance of the best MBBS abroad consultancy, you can navigate the process with ease, ensuring you are fully prepared to start this rewarding journey.
If your dream is to pursue a medical career and help improve healthcare worldwide, studying MBBS abroad could be the perfect step. Ensure you take the time to select the right university, country, and consultancy to maximize your experience and career opportunities.

FOCUS ON THE FACTS

WF THOUGHTS (9/24/24).
For reasons that I’ll keep to myself, I was recently reading about the death of John Adams. He was one of the Founding Fathers, and he was our second President.
The article included some famous quotes from Adams. Here’s one of them: “Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.”
What would Adams say about our 2024 presidential race? I’m sure he would be focused on the following FACTS:
1. Only one candidate has filed for bankruptcy six times.
2. Only one candidate was required by a court to close his personal charity, and pay $2 million in damages, because he illegally used charitable funds for his own purposes.
3. Only one candidate was required by a court to close the sham private university that he created, and pay $25 million in damages, because he defrauded students.
4. Only one candidate has at least 12 close personal allies who were recently convicted of crimes. Eight of them have been sentenced to prison. The group includes his personal lawyer, two campaign lawyers, three top advisors, his campaign chairman, his deputy campaign chairman, and the CFO of his business organization.
5. Only one candidate appears on a videotape saying that, because he is famous, he can grab women by their private parts.
6. Only one candidate has been found civilly liable, to the tune of $88 million plus interest, for defaming a woman that he sexually assaulted.
7. Only one candidate has been convicted on 34 felony counts for falsifying business records, to hide payments to a porn star, as part of a scheme to violate campaign finance laws and commit other federal crimes. The sentencing is set for November 26th.
8. Only one candidate was on the losing end of every court case- -all 62 of them- -that challenged the results of the 2020 election.
9. Only one candidate continues to claim that the 2020 presidential election was wrongly decided.
10. Only one candidate refuses to say that he supports Ukraine in the war against Russia
11. Only one candidate regularly expresses his admiration for dictators like Putin of Russia, Kim Jung Un of North Korea, and Xi Jinping of China.
12. Only one candidate supports the North Carolina Republican gubernatorial candidate, a self-identified Black Nazi, who has spoken fondly of slavery and who is openly antisemitic, openly homophobic, and openly misogynistic. The North Carolinian contender has praised Hitler, is a Holocaust denier, and has supported reinstating slavery.
I’ll limit my list to 12 facts. You probably get the point. I could easily list dozens of additional facts.
Let me borrow some language from Adams and speak to voters who dislike Trump but have questions about Harris. Kamala may not be the candidate of your “wishes.” Your “inclinations” might point away from her. She may not be the object of your “passions.” Despite all of that, you can’t ignore the facts. Based upon a mountain of facts, it is clear that Trump does not belong in the White House. It’s that simple.
The Founding Fathers believed that we would always have presidential candidates with extraordinary integrity and extremely high moral character. They never imagined that the voters, or a political party, would let a scoundrel run for president. John Adams must be rolling over in his grave. What happened to America? What happened to the voters? What happened to our political parties? How did we create such a mess?
More than ever, in 2024 voters must disregard their wishes, inclinations, and passions. They must look at the facts. Good decisions are always based upon facts. This year, the facts say that there is only one candidate who can be trusted with the keys to the White House. Trust is the issue in 2024. If you’re leaning towards the candidate who has shown that he cannot be trusted, you’re being influenced by factors that are detached from the facts. You’re on dangerous ground when you disregard the facts.

Why “The War Criminal, Terrorist, Liar, Conspirator, Genocidal and Hegemonic West” is Still Lying About The Largest Act of Terrorism in Modern European History
We are Expected to Believe That a Bunch of Rogue Ukrainians Blew-up Nord Stream Without Any State Support – Do They Also Have a Bridge to Sell Us?
— By Tarik Cyril Amar, A Historian From Germany Working at Koç University, Istanbul, on Russia, Ukraine, and Eastern Europe, the History of World War II, the Cultural Cold War, and the Politics of Memory | 19 August 2024 | RT
Tumblr media

On September 26, 2022, infrastructure vital for both Germany and the EU as a whole was attacked as never before in post-World War II, peacetime (at least formally) history. In the vicinity of the island of Bornholm, at the midpoint between the Polish and Swedish coasts, four explosions sabotaged the massive Nord Stream I and II gas pipelines, which run along the bottom of the Baltic Sea.
The immediate consequences were enormous. In terms of environmental damage, all too often overlooked now, the pipelines were filled with methane, a greenhouse gas that contributes enormously to global warming. According to the UN, its heating effect is 80 times greater than that of carbon dioxide. Also, methane “is the primary contributor to the formation of ground-level ozone, a hazardous air pollutant and greenhouse gas, exposure to which causes one million premature deaths every year.”
The exact amount of this toxic gas that the Nord Stream saboteurs made bubble up into our shared atmosphere is hard to quantify, but there is no doubt that it was large, and we would all be much better off if it had stayed in the pipelines. Initial estimates pointed to five times the volume released in a 2015 methane disaster in California. That was “the largest known terrestrial release of methane in US history.” Its impact was compared with driving seven million cars per day, and it displaced thousands of people.
Put differently, the Nord Stream attack set a milestone not merely in European but also the global history of man-made ecological disasters. But the California leak was, at least, an accident – the Baltic one, so much larger again, was the result of a deliberate act of eco-terrorism. It’s no wonder that Rob Jackson, a Stanford climate scientist, quickly – and correctly – concluded that “whoever ordered this should be prosecuted for war crimes and go to jail.”
Yet apart from eco-terrorism, the Nord Stream attack was also, of course, an act of aggression against Germany as a state. And against the whole of the EU, too, as Mikhail Podoliak, the habitually dishonest top adviser to Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky, underlined at the time of the sabotage. He was right, of course. Indeed, it was such a severe act of aggression that it should have led Germany and the EU to quickly identify the perpetrators and take drastic action against them. Moreover, if the terrorists had state backing, as is likely given the complexity of the attack, then those actions should have ranged from sanctions and severing diplomatic relations – as a minimum – to military retaliation. And since Germany is a NATO member, the alliance’s famed Article 5 – treating an attack on one member as an attack on all of them – could easily have been applied as well.
At the time, Podoliak was, of course, brazenly lying about an important detail. Against rhyme and reason, he blamed the attacks on Russia, which had zero conceivable interest in destroying pipelines that it had heavily invested in to facilitate energy trade with the EU, that afforded some geopolitical influence (although propagandists in the West and especially Poland have always greatly exaggerated that factor), and that, while dormant at the time of the attack, could have been activated again.
In short, someone trying to make you believe that Russia blew up Nord Stream is – and has always been – the guy with a bridge to sell you. Like the comedian in Kiev who, with the help of Western impresarios, such as Tim Snyder and Anne Applebaum, has been hawking Ukrainian “democracy,” “civil society,” and the great cosmic struggle for “Western values.”
But, as with these other Zelensky regime lies, Podoliak’s fib about the big bad Russians shooting themselves in both feet at once, deliberately and just for fun, was special in that it combined being perfectly implausible with being widely believed, at least in the West and especially in Germany. Absurd as it is, two things followed the Nord Stream attack: It took ages for any Western officials to officially point to any perpetrators; and Western politicians, mainstream media, and so-called experts kept peddling the insultingly silly story about Russia as the culprit.
Since many of them will now try to cover their tracks, let’s recall two examples. By spring 2023, the American icon of investigative journalism Seymour Hersh had exposed Washington as a likely Nord Stream bomber, while other reports started suggesting that – somehow – Ukrainians had been involved. Yet even then Carlo Masala, an academic from the German Army’s very own university, who has made a media career out of opportunistically regurgitating Western infowar talking points, still tried to recast the emerging picture as a “false-flag” operation. In other words, according to Masala, while you may think you see Americans and Ukrainians right in front of your eyes, in reality, it’s – drumroll! – the Russians, again. So much for tin-foil hats and conspiracy theories being very welcome in the Western mainstream as long as they toe the line.
Similarly, Janis Kluge, a regional “expert” at a major Berlin think tank has just admitted on X – with astounding if unintentional self-discreditation – that his nonsensical initial assessment of blaming Russia was – wait for it! – wrong. He feels “new information” has just emerged. The fun fact is, of course, that information excluding Russia as a possible perpetrator was available from day one, and specific information about the US and Ukraine as much more plausible suspects emerged not much later. Yet, for Kluge, being so much slower in shedding an obvious piece of Western and Ukrainian information warfare than a decent reputation allows is, it seems, still a reason for pride.
Tumblr media
Dr. Tarik Cyril Amar
That is because he now relies on what, to his mind, seems to be an authoritative source, namely the Wall Street Journal and German prosecutors. This brings us to how and why the Nord Stream attack has made it back into the news. At very long last, German prosecutors have issued an arrest warrant – yes, you read that right: one single warrant – for a suspect, namely a lowly Ukrainian diver called Volodymyr.
Never mind, they’ll probably never get hold of him, because Poland has shielded the attackers and helped them escape. Warsaw, by the way, is proud of its sponsorship, literally, of terrorism against Germany, as a breathtakingly arrogant X post by Polish PM Donald Tusk has rubbed in. In essence, he blamed the victims, that is the Germans, and told them to shut up, if not just apologize for being there in the first place. Congrats… Clearly German-Polish relations will flourish, again.
At the same time, the Wall Street Journal has published a sensational and sensationally unpersuasive article explaining two things: How it was, after all, Kiev that did it; and – how convenient – it was not Washington. Indeed, according to this touching tale of American righteousness, the CIA – well-known for never ever supporting or staging underhanded, insane, and violent schemes – tried to prevent the Ukrainians from going ahead with one of their very own. And that is, the WSJ tells us, the “real story.” This is the moment where you may feel free to cry in view of so much goodness and honesty.
Let’s put it like this: Remember the guy trying to sell you the bridge? He now admits that he doesn’t really own it, but he has a new offer: He is about to inherit it soon and if you believe this one, he’s ready to sell you a first-dibs option on bidding for it when the time comes. In other words, we are now invited to move on from believing a lie so moronic that even telling it should have made people sink into the ground with shame to one that has been fine-tuned with a few tiny fragments of truth. And yet, it’s still a lie.
Let’s take a closer look. The first thing that makes the WSJ story highly suspect is that it’s packed with politically convenient details. Readers learn that Zelensky initially okayed the scheme but then was against it, when the saintly Americans told him to stop being so naughty. But the then commander-in-chief of Ukraine’s forces, Valery Zaluzhny – a man Zelensky has always hated and who has been relegated to the status of another inept Ukrainian diplomat in London – was, of course, in on the attack all the way. Another Ukrainian officer mentioned by name – one of the very few – in the WSJ piece is already on trial anyway. Oops, no great loss either, it turns out. Need we continue? This is a parade of fall-guys, carefully tailored to exempt Zelensky, for now, and, of course, the US and everyone else in the West who may very well have been involved (Hi, MI6 and, of course, Poland again, we see you).
Then there is the manner in which both the German prosecutors’ move and the WSJ article are being reinforced and exploited rapidly by other mainstream outlets, trying to make sure that everyone gets the new infowar memo. German Spiegel, for instance, is blunt about getting the correct – and rather imbecilic – propaganda message across. Readers are in effect admonished that, with the naming of one Ukrainian suspect, “all speculation about Russian or US participation” in the attack can now be “curbed.”
What can one even say? Let’s try: First, a Russian participation never made any sense to any reasonable and unbiased observer. Shame on self-censoring and war-mobilizing media like Spiegel to have ever treated it as an even remotely possible explanation. Second, therefore, pretending that suspecting Moscow and Washington has been equally plausible or implausible is ludicrous. Third, because the US actually has always made perfect sense as suspect number one. And it still does.
Here is the real upshot of this combined political-media information war circus: Yes, it’s nice that someone finally, officially acknowledges that it was not Russia and that, to one extent or the other, it was, actually, sacrosanct-can-do-whatever-it-wants-and-tell-any-lie Ukraine. But trying to sell us the new idiocy that therefore it was not the US – indeed that Washington tried to stop this attack – is about as believable as Hunter Biden’s laptop not mattering to his dad’s Ukraine policy, or the Epstein operation not being about entrapping and blackmailing the US elite. It’s yet another piece of nonsense we are invited to swallow. No, thank you. Enough already.
What is more interesting, however, is what this all implies and why it is happening now. Regarding the implications, even if, for the sake of argument, you pretend to believe the whole WSJ/German prosecutor story, Germany’s, the EU’s, and NATO’s positions emerge as untenable and discredited. As an anonymous German official noted, “an attack of this scale is a sufficient reason to trigger the collective defense clause of NATO, but our critical infrastructure was blown up by a country” – that is, Ukraine, not Russia – “that we support with massive weapons shipments and billions in cash.” That is, Berlin’s policy has been so perverse as to qualify as treasonous. It has literally fought the wrong country. Thereby, it has failed to defend Germany from a massive attack and instead has bent over backwards to reward the aggressor, Ukraine. In a normal country, the government would have fallen already, and not just faced questions like ‘What about Germany’s intelligence services and military? Where have they been napping? Under a rock on a Baltic beach?’
And things don’t look much better for the EU and NATO as a whole. Many who refuse to be fed moronic propaganda anymore will conclude that these organizations are, in essence, conspiracies, systematically acting against the interests of the countries and populations they pretend to protect. Regarding the US, what’s even left to say? It was, of course, involved in the attack, as President Biden had openly threatened in advance. Putting about a silly tale now blaming it all on Kiev and Kiev alone just makes it look stupid and callous.
This brings us to the question of why all of this is happening now. Callous is the key term here. The best explanation of the timing of these new revelations is that they are part of dropping the Ukrainian proxy. What better way to introduce a policy of abandoning Kiev than by making it the sole scapegoat for an attack on the West? This operation may take a while, but it has clearly started. No, it is not a coincidence that Berlin has just announced that it will greatly reduce its military support for Ukraine. As others before, Kiev is about to learn about American and Western gratitude, the very hard way.

How to Choose the Right Country for MBBS Abroad?
Tumblr media
Choosing to study MBBS in abroad is a significant decision that requires careful planning and consideration. The country where you choose to pursue your medical education can have a profound impact on your academic experience, professional opportunities, and personal growth. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to choose the right country for your MBBS studies abroad, with insights from Expert Medico, a leading consultancy for medical education.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Country
1. Quality of Medical Education
Accreditation and Recognition
Ensure that the medical schools in the country are accredited by relevant medical education bodies and recognized by global organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Medical Council of India (MCI). This ensures that your degree will be valid and respected internationally.
Curriculum and Training
Look into the curriculum offered by the universities. A robust curriculum with ample practical training and clinical exposure is crucial for a solid medical education. Research the teaching methods, facilities, and hospital affiliations of the universities.
2. Language of Instruction
English-Taught Programs
For non-native English speakers, studying MBBS in a country where the program is taught in English can be beneficial. It eliminates language barriers and makes it easier to follow lectures, interact with patients, and assimilate into the local culture.
Language Proficiency Requirements
Check if the country requires language proficiency tests like IELTS or TOEFL for admission. Some countries may offer preparatory language courses if their primary language is not English.
3. Cost of Education and Living
Tuition Fees
Compare the tuition fees of medical programs in different countries. Some countries offer high-quality education at a fraction of the cost compared to others.
Living Expenses
Consider the cost of living, including accommodation, food, transportation, and other personal expenses. Countries with a lower cost of living can make studying MBBS abroad more affordable.
4. Admission Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
Review the eligibility criteria for MBBS programs in various countries. This includes academic qualifications, entrance exams, and any other prerequisites.
Entrance Exams
Some countries require international students to take entrance exams such as the NEET, MCAT, or specific local exams. Understand the requirements and prepare accordingly.
5. Safety and Quality of Life
Safety
Research the safety and political stability of the country. A safe environment is essential for a stress-free educational experience.
Cultural Fit and Lifestyle
Consider the cultural aspects, climate, and lifestyle of the country. Choose a place where you can adapt and feel comfortable.
6. Post-Graduation Opportunities
Residency and Licensing
Investigate the process for residency and licensing in the country after graduation. Some countries offer smoother pathways for international students to continue their medical careers.
Job Prospects
Look into the job market for doctors in the country. Opportunities for internships, residencies, and job placements can enhance your career prospects.

World Refugee Day 2024 and Hezbollah leader warns ‘no place safe’ in Israel if war erupts
COGwriter
There have been multiple millions of refugees from Ukraine and many other refugees fleeing from various problems around the world.
June 20th has been designated as World Refugee Day:
World Refugee Day 2024
June 20, 2024
On June 20th, 2024, the World Health Organization (WHO) joins UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and partners in observing World Refugee Day 2024. In line with this year’s theme, “Solidarity with Refugees”, WHO emphasizes the importance of building inclusive health systems and ensuring equitable care for refugees worldwide. WHO highlights solidarity and health, celebrates refugee resilience, advocates for their health rights, and strives to create a world where everyone, regardless of migratory status, enjoys universal access to quality health care.
UNHCR estimates that by mid-2023, over 110 million individuals worldwide were forcibly displaced, with 40% being children. 75% of these displaced individuals are hosted in low- and middle-income countries. https://www.who.int/news-room/events/detail/2024/06/20/default-calendar/world-refugee-day-2024
The primary causes of the refugee situations around the world include war, political considerations, religious persecution, and economics.
After the millennial Kingdom of God is established, the time will come when every one will have their own home (cf. 1 Kings 4:25, Micah 4:4) and wars will cease:
1 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the Lord’s house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And peoples shall flow to it. 2 Many nations shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth, And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. 3 He shall judge between many peoples, And rebuke strong nations afar off; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore.
4 But everyone shall sit under his vine and under his fig tree, And no one shall make them afraid; For the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken. 5 For all people walk each in the name of his god, But we will walk in the name of the Lord our God Forever and ever. (Micah 4:1-5)
However, before then, there will come another time when all real Christians will be subject to intense persecution (see also Persecutions by Church and State).
But this will come in stages. First, mainly the faithful Philadelphia Christians will be affected:
25 He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. (Daniel 7:25a)
33 And those of the people who understand shall instruct many; yet for many days they shall fall by sword and flame, by captivity and plundering. 34 Now when they fall, they shall be aided with a little help; but many shall join with them by intrigue. 35 And some of those of understanding shall fall, to refine them, purify them, and make them white, until the time of the end; because it is still for the appointed time. (Dan 11:33-35)
13 Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. (Rev 12:13)
The Philadelphia Christians who survive will then be protected:
7 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write,
‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: 8 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. 9 Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie — indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. (Revelation 3:7-10)
The Philadelphia Christians flee to become refugees in a place in the wilderness:
14 But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. 15 So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. 16 But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. (Revelation 12:14-16)
Some believe that this place in the wilderness will be in or near Petra in Jordan (see also There is a Place of Safety for the Philadelphians. Why it May Be Petra).
Prophecy scholars tend to recognize that the expression “time and times and half a time” equates to 3 1/2 years. The fleeing to the wilderness happens just after the Philadelphians have successfully preached the Gospel of the Kingdom to the world as a witness (Matthew 24:14) and just prior to the start of the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:15-21).
Jesus said to watch and pray to be accounted worthy to escape, indicating that not all Christians would be counted worthy:
34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:34-36)
So, what about the rest of the Christians in those days?
The Bible shows that they will be subject to death and persecution:
17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. (Revelation 12:17)
25…Then the saints shall be given into his hand For a time and times and half a time. (Daniel 7:25b)
So this second period of persecution, for those who do not flee to the wilderness, lasts 3 1/2 years as well. Those subject to the persecution from the Beast power are mainly Laodicean, Sardisian, and Thyatiran Christians (though some of the Thyatiran remnant may be protected per Revelation 2:22-24). Those Christians would be those that failed to heed various parts of the Bible as they should and will ignore the warnings in Zephaniah 2:1-3 to gather together prior to the time to flee (watch also the video Zephaniah’s ‘Gather Together’ Prophecy).
While we Christians go through our day to day lives, the Bible is clear that those who live long enough are going to be subject to intense persecution and becoming refugees.
Basically ALL end time Christians will be refugees or at least subject to terrible persecution.
Did you know what seems to be the second most looked up verse in the Bible is?
The first is John 3:16, but the second is found in Jeremiah. Here are three translations of it:
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV)
11 For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of affliction, to give you an end and patience. (Jeremiah 29:11, Douay-Rheims)
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11, New Living Translation)
Some quote Jeremiah 29:11 as proof that God has a plan for them. And while God does have a plan for all, many tend to not consider the verse in context.
Notice what the Bible teaches:
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive. (Jeremiah 29:11-14)
Notice that the plan was exile. To be a sojourner, to be a refugee.
So as you consider the plight of the millions of refugees on the Earth, you may also consider that if you are truly a Christian, that you will be subject to intense persecution and even being a refugee yourself.
As far as wars and rumors of wars go, notice the following tweet and article related to Hezbollah, an Iranian-linked group in Lebanon:
Hezbollah leader warns ‘no place safe’ in Israel if war erupts
June 19, 2024
Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah’s leader in Lebanon, warned Wednesday that no place would be safe in Israel if a war erupts between the country and the Lebanese militant group.
Nasrallah said in a televised address that Iran-backed Hezbollah has a “bank of targets” that would be subject to precision strikes if the sporadic fighting between the two foes turns into a broader conflict.
“There will be no place safe from our missiles and our drones” in Israel, Nasrallah said.”
On Tuesday, Hezbollah released what it said was drone footage of sensitive sites deep within Israel.
“We now have new weapons,” Nasrallah said Wednesday. “But I won’t say what they are. …The enemy knows well that we have prepared ourselves for the worst … and that no place … will be spared our rockets.”
Israel is well aware of Hezbollah’s weapons, Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi, chief of staff of the Israel Defense Forces, said Wednesday during a trip near Israel’s border with Lebanon.
“The enemy only knows a small part of our capabilities and will see them at the needed time,” he said.
Israel and Hezbollah, an ally of Hamas, have exchanged strikes since October, when the war in Gaza erupted. In eight months, more than 400 people have been killed in Lebanon, mostly Hezbollah fighters, but also at least 80 civilians. In Israel, 16 soldiers and 11 civilians have been killed in the fighting.
In his broadcast, Nasrallah threatened Cyprus, accusing it of opening “Cypriot airports and bases for the Israeli enemy to target Lebanon.” That move, he said, “means that the Cypriot government has become part of the war, and the resistance will deal with it as part of the war.” https://www.voanews.com/a/hezbollah-leader-warns-no-place-safe-in-israel-if-war-erupts/7662970.html
June 19, 2024
Amid widespread reports and statements that Israel and Hezbollah are on the brink of full-scale war, the Shia paramilitary group’s leader Hassan Nasrallah has warned of a war “without rules or ceilings” if Israeli forces launch an offensive in Lebanon.
The words were given in response to Israel’s top generals the day prior announcing that battle plans have been approved for a Lebanon offensive and widening of the war. The IDF statement said it is preparing to “accelerate readiness in the field.”
“The enemy must wait for us by air, land, and sea. We repeat: If war is imposed on Lebanon, the resistance will fight without rules, controls, or ceilings,” Nasrallah responded Tuesday.
“Storming the Galilee is a possibility that remains present within the framework of any war that the occupation may launch against Lebanon,” Hezbollah’s Secretary-General continued. https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/nasrallah-says-no-place-safe-even-threatens-cyrus-if-israel-invades-lebanon
The Bible prophesies that God will remove the protection of Judah (modern tiny nation called Israel) and that great damage will hit Jerusalem in Isaiah 22:6-9 from a confederation that looks to involve Iran, Syria, and parts of Lebanon. Hezbollah seems to wish to help fulfill those prophecies (see also Hezbollah actions and denials, the IDF, and some of what PCG has wrong).
Anyway, in addition to death and destruction, wars tend to cause more refugees.
Pray, as Jesus said (Matthew 6:10), for God’s Kingdom to come.
Strive to live as a Philadelphian Christian.
