I had the realization today that I dont think I’ve ever spoken about my son on here and since a lot of you know me for podcast content this needs to be rectified immediately so I present to you my first born son: Nureyev
Tumblr media
Yes, as in Peter Nureyev. Hilariously this is the most accurate name I have ever chosen for anything because this little bitch has such Peter Nureyev vibes it’s actually crazy. I present a list of random facts about him that I can think of off the top of my head:
1. Literally the first day I had him one of the first things we found out about this tiny little baby was that if there’s a dead cricket in his tank you bet your ass he’s not eating it. This bougie ass bitch only eats live prey. You physically don’t understand how often I have to buy him food because god forbid it dies before he kill it, he’d actually rather starve than eat a dead bug. I can attest to that because one time there was a cricket shortage in my area because it was so cold that all the crickets were dying in transport and this little bitch actually went days without eating because he wouldn’t eat the dead crickets (I finally got him to eat by pushing them around with a clear plastic spoon to make it look like they were moving- lying to your kids works folks)
2. He makes regular attempts to escape from his tank by climbing up the glass. Despite 4 years of trying it still hasn’t worked once but he’s determined he’s going to do it one of these times
3. My mother who typically lovingly refers to him as Nev (“his name is longer than he is, I’m giving him a nickname” -my mother approximately 10 minutes after his name was chosen, took her 3 more days to come up with Nev) will often refer to him as Pete if he’s doing something bad (see above escape attempt). This is particularly funny in the presence of people who are unaware of this nickname but aware enough to know the names of all the animals in our home because they become very confused
4. “The thief is on the prowl” is a very common phrase in our home, this typically means someone has to feed the boy because he’s stalking around the tank looking for living creatures to torment and finding none
5. He regularly sticks his entire head into his water bowl and just leaves it there for a little bit until I become quite convinced that he’s going to drown and then he will just get up and walk away like he didn’t just give me a heart attack
6. If you’re holding him he will climb all over you and somehow find a place to randomly jump off from (again, heart attack every time). Hearing “Nureyev!” said loudly in a concerned but sort of exasperated way is very common
7. If one of his water bowls is empty he will lay in it to get you to pay attention to the fact that it has no water in it but will then refuse to move when you go to put water in it and will become very upset when you eventually give up and just pour water onto him (the above photo was taken directly after I deep cleaned his tank and before I put the water back in, shockingly he looked quite cute instead of seriously pissed off like usual)
8. He likes to have the high ground (he likes to climb on top of people’s heads and just sit there and watch the world as you walk around and continue what you were previously doing. Luckily he has never attempted to jump off someone’s head before)
9. Very dramatic sleeper. I’m talking will sleep in the weirdest positions but like you do you king, if that’s comfy I endorse it
10. He regularly hides in any available nook and/or cranny in the tank. This is yet another cause of great stress for me when I cannot find him
Bonus fact: This bougie bitch was approximately half of the inspiration behind how I play Lizzie (shoutout O!ASKAP enjoyers, this one’s for you). If you’re wondering the other half is simply my penchant for playing the least helpful character I can possibly get away with

Oh yeah the funniest shit ever-
Mahiru being entirely disinterested in Shidou-
2023/10/24 Shidou's birthday
Mahiru: Shidou-san, you have a family...right? Having family, having children, how does it feel...?
Shidou: ...Yes, it's a wonderful thing. Children are... Well, they're hope itself. When you have children, growing older becomes enjoyable. The more you age, the more your children grow.
Mahiru: Ah...how wonderful. It was my dream to become a bride. It may be a little old-fashioned but, I wanted to make it come true...
Shidou: It's not too late. I will keep you alive, Shiina-kun. Let's get out of here and make that dream come true. ...You still have your whole life ahead of you.
Meanwhile, with Futa-
2024/01/17, Mahiru's birthday
Futa: ......Hey, Mahiru. Are you...doing alright? Isn't there any way you can get better...?
Mahiru: What's wrong, Futa-kun? Yeah, I'm not feeling great... But Shidou-san has been taking care of me all this time. I'm sure if I keep getting treatment like this, I'll get better...
Futa: I see. Continue the treatment, huh... How can you truly be saved, I wonder?
Mahiru: Saved...?? Are you worried about me? ……That's nice of you, Futa-kun. Just thinking that way... Mahiru feels saved already.
Despite Shidou constantly helping her- She has a more positive response to Futa showing concern for her. When he tries to give encouraging words with an undertone of flirting. Since he said let's get out here and make that dream cone true crickets. Again probably because he's not her type and she's stayed this.
20/06/08
Mahiru: Shidou-san…… you’re really good-looking. Personally, I think you’d be better if you ate a bit more, but you’re slim and tall and well put together to boot…… You must’ve been super popular up until now, right?
Shidou: ……yeah, that’s true…… I did my share of fooling around in the past.
Mahiru: Oh~? That’s not the sort of answer I’d expect from you. I’ve got it! Somebody told you that if you replied like that people wouldn’t resent you so much, right?
Shidou: Haha, I’m surprised you guessed. ……it seems that no matter what guise I put on, it’s meaningless against a woman’s insight.
You know who's good with kids reportedly liked by Amane? Mahiru. You know who is a good communicator and on good terms with most in the prison? Mahiru. You know who was able to guess that what Shidou said was due to advice from his wife that helped him because he's usually careless when it comes to personal matters- Mahiru!
"Let's get out of here and make that dream come true."
Meanwhike despite that clear come on when Futa shows comcern someone whom she complained about as no good for being a bully. Well, she started really giving-
"I’m going to start relying on you if you’re kind to me, so please forgive me, thanks!"
Energy if I'm being honest.
"That's nice of you, Futa-kun. Just thinking that way... Mahiru feels saved already."
Meanwhile, Shidou proposing to start a new family like there's still time. Their are lives that need saving mine. I've accepted I can't bring back the dead but maybe I could just start a new family. Meanwhile, Mahiru is just here like "Sorry, I like reciprocity. I want to receive too. So, no... You're still too thin for me on top of that. Meaning I'm just going to politely ignore your advances." And going I already feel saved just from your concern alone to Futa.
These timelines have so many funny implications.

INTRODUCTORY POST:
I don’t expect this blog to get much attention, but tumblr is a quick and simple format that I know I can use to archive this campaign. To begin, hello. If you’re following me thanks so much. I only hope what you see here is interesting and inspires you to make your own materials for D&D 5e. If you have a good grasp on the rules, I recommend giving homebrew a try, even if it’s just a fun item or a busted feat. 5e is very good for custom content, and when it comes to our imaginations, the sky’s the limit.
So, about this campaign. I was driving with my wife and a friend when my friend mentioned how cool it would be if we were all bugs. I agreed and added “oh that would be a funny D&D setting—what if you were a party of bugs?” and we all got a good laugh, and I have basically not stopped thinking about it for two months.
I did things the classic way: I started with a map, decided who lived where, what happened recently to establish The Way Things Are, and what kind of bugs will be the ones to change things up. Then, I leaned into the hyper fixation, creating a potent blend of custom races, somewhat game-breaking items, and definitely game-breaking feats. I gathered 4 of my favorite people together to answer the question “What can I do to make it look like you’re going crazy up there like a little bug?” The players were limited to North American insects, and chose a Beetle, a Mantis, a Bee, and a Cricket. Details on classes and backgrounds will arrive after Session 0.
And that’s how we got Minisculia! It’s a smattering of bug city-states and kingdoms, located entirely within the backyard of an abandoned house, somewhere in American suburbia. 10 years ago (basically like 500 years ago in Bug Years) the Golden Alliance of the Hive defeated the foul Apocritan Wasps in a devastating conflict called the Last War. Now, as a result of the Treaty of Convergence, the two powers keep to their territories and common folk enjoy a tenuous peace. But not all is well. Reports of Red Ant raids in Black Ant territory terrify the peasantry, and have the guards clamoring for action. The Good Queen Bezeera has decreed any adventurers who solve the problem shall earn their weight in Pollen (our stand-in for gold), as well as lands and noble titles. Investigating the crisis will be the party’s unifying goal.
To keep the game itself simple, I ruled that for classes, backgrounds, spells, and equipment we’ll be using the 2014 Player’s Handbook and nothing else. I’d describe the plot as a delicate mixture of a Bug’s Life and Game of Thrones—several factions are vying for power, and most of them are loose collectives of different cultures or military arms of small kingdoms. All of them are bugs, however, and all of them cling to what little power they’ve scratched out for themselves in a big, dangerous world. Will the party join in that unending political game, or will they bring change to the Scattered Kingdoms once more? Time will tell!
Also I’ll be posting bad art and usable 5e content here. Playtest it, tweak it, criticize it for being too strong, ignore it, do whatever you like. But I’ve made too much NOT to share, you know? Like I said up top, I hope you at least find what I post here interesting. I’m excited to play D&D with my friends more than anything.
Talk to you soon!

I'm really glad HouTata gets more attention these days *sugarcoating the fact that I shove its content on your guys' throat everyday*
The previous years whenever I post about HouTata there is only cricket noise, but if I post a random panel in Tokyo Ghoul no cap the crowd cheers. If I post a doodle of Kaneki's silly face the crowd explodes and I got nominated as top Tokyo Ghoul blog. And the crowd left once I post HouTata again it's so fucking funny.
I think it's because my drawing skills got a lot better, but I also went out and made more moots so we can be silly in the tags together. The average notes on my HouTata art is now 15 - 20, which is really great compared to the 5 - 10 when I first got here.

need a shovel to love them
I... don’t really know what this is? DeeDennis fic/meme thing of that poetry/ship ask game going around. Trigger warning for all sorts, rape, extremely dubious consent, mentions of Barbara and her various abuse, self harm, addiction and obviously incest.
1 Who would be first to to bite down anc consume the flesh of the other, euphoric in the taste and the heft and the slide of the blood
Dennis has fantasies about it, but Dee is the first one to do it, sinking her teeth into his wrist after he threatens to rape her dead body if she doesn’t shut up. Dennis keeps the bloodstained flannel.
2. who is the ant and who is the ophiocordyceps fungus?
Dee completely thinks that she might be a good person if Dennis hadn’t infected everything about her.
3. who is the dog and who is the master?
Dennis gets off on the thought of having Dee on a leash and parading her around, but something in him likes when he gets upset and her hands trail his skin, a mix of comfort and objectifying, like mom used to.
4 when the roles are blurred or reversed who would be first to die and how? would it be by bulletwound? the phallic blade? strangulation?
Dennis has this plan in ten years of shooting Dee in a place where she would take a while to die, and then shooting himself in the same place, so they both have the same hole and they can expire in each other’s arms.
 5. Cocaine or Heroin?
they’ve watched each other get dicked down by some random drug dealer (never Cricket, Dennis would gouge out the other eye if the fucker touched what has always been his) in order to get crack again. Their little secret... amongst all the other ones.
6. who licks up the other’s cigarette ash?
Sometimes Dennis’s God Hole feels like it’s growing with rot, and he needs some kind of punishment to centre himself and take his rightful place as ruler of Paddys. Dee doesn’t even like smoking, but she likes him crawling.
7 who is julius caesar and who is brutus?
If Dee stabbed Dennis, finally having enough of... everything, she would keep the body in her flat. Not as a trophy, she’s not like him, but to see him go soft and blue and finally melt away. She would then leave Paddys, and do something, anything with her life, as there was no more reason to stick around.
 8. who is jesus and who is judas?
When she’s on top, Dee will dig her nails into the palms of Dennis’s hands, and think about the sex doll where the skin would always smooth out no matter what they did to it.
9. did jesus want it? did julius caesar know it was coming? are the betrayed ever proud?
Dennis always wants it, even when he zones out during sex and Dee will drag him to watch cartoons instead. Dee on the other hand has said no when she means yes, and yes when she means no. If the tears come when she’s drinking beer later, she’ll know what she meant.
 10. who is irrumatus and who is irrumans? who is pedicatus and who is pedicans?
Seeing the other one choke and drool and their make-up get ruined as they gag on dick or strap is always so fucking funny. Dee has to beg for anal because Dennis likes her begging, and Dee has pegged Dennis exactly once because he got small and compliant after in a way that just made her feel shitty instead of powerful.
 11. did they ever kiss and why not?
Dee kissed Dennis under the Jersey Shore boardwalk when they were nine, had this small feeling like she finally won against him and her mom. She’ll do everything with him but that in Philly, no matter how much he digs her tongue into her mouth.
12 if they are two sides of the same coin who is heads and who is tails
They’ll both say heads.
13. and if the coin was the holey dollar?
Dennis has a giant gaping hole inside him, Dee still sees the gaping scar on her wrist she promised to make if mom wouldn’t stop telling any friend they deserved better than Deandra. The only way to get Barbara to back down was to damage her trophies. Apparently.
 14. And if the dog bit back? 15 and if the dog bit back? 16 and if the dog bit back? 17 and if the dog bit back? 18 and if the dog bit back? 19 and if the dog bit back?
Dennis is going to torture Dee some more so next Dee Day will be totally concentrated on breaking him again.
20. Who buys the other flowers?
After finding out Dennis wanted something for Valentine’s, Dee gets fancy flowers and steals rat skins from Charlie so she can scatter them in the box. Makes her gag, and they don’t talk about it, but he always kisses her after like she’s the only person in the world.

13/08/2023-Shipton Bellinger and home
Photos taken in this set are of: 1. The White-point moth, another lovely moth to see at home this morning. 2. Common crimson-and-gold moth at Shipton Bellinger, an eyecatching species to see joining in a great surge in moth sightings for me especially this weekend. 3. Wall Brown, it was an honour to get to see these vibrant and energetic butterflies so well again after seeing our first of the year here two weeks ago. Today was one of our best ever days for seeing them with a fair few seen and top quality intimate views of them with wings open and closed they were widespread around here. It's funny to think I was worried as to if we'd see one this year after missing them at the coast where we often see them, this place is certainly a gem it's been a revelation for them, we first came here for Brown Hairstreak but Wall Brown is an important one here too. Unusually for Wall Brown I got great close up chances for photos today and it's a novelty seeing a species I mostly have at the coast inland, so even though this is one of the first butterflies I (retrospectively from a photo) ever identified early in butterfly days there feels something pleasingly fresh about seeing them here. 4. A Brown Hairstreak it was an honour to see again today, I spent some glee filled moments with this astonishing and angelic butterfly, what an honour to see them. I hadn't seen one of these until 2021 so there is a great freshness with these for me too and I feel very lucky to have had two visits here seeing these beautiful butterflies this year. 5, 7 and 8. Views at Shipton Bellinger. 6. One of a few bees I enjoyed caked in pollen on the bold woolly thistle flowers. 9. Some hawthorn berries on a tree. 10. Wild parsnip one I enjoyed a lot today, with interesting flies on.
At Shipton Bellinger it was also good to see Holly and Common Blue, Gatekeepers, Small Heath, Green-veined White, Speckled Wood, Peacock, ermine moth I believe Spindle ermine, ladybird, Common Red Soldier beetle, prominent mossy rose galls which I'm enjoying appearing of late, beautiful Roesel's bush cricket and my first ever Lesser Hornet hoverfly which is gorgeous. Magpie, Carrion Crow, Woodpigeon, Great Tit and Blue Tit were nice to see too, with Collared Dove which I took a picture of somewhat photobombed by a flying House Sparrow which was interesting, Goldfinch including young and seen well and intimately in the garden whilst I had my hair cut there Starlings seeing House Sparrows in the buddleia then also home bird highlights today. My first Morning-glory Plume moth of the year was also nice to see at home with four-leaved pink sorrel and other flowers enjoyed in the garden. Other highlights of the many flowers enjoyed at Shipton Bellinger were my first soapwort and goldenrod of the year, some more mugwort this week, viper's-bugloss, eyebright, red bartsia, rosebay willowherb, centaury, common toadflax, loads of wild basil again, knapweed, scabious, herb-Robert, hedgerow crane's-bill and melilot. Another brilliant wild weekend.

hi !! i just found your blog and i am highly enjoying your cricket content
how do you tell the girls apart from each other?
aw, im so glad to hear it!
ahaha its funny you ask that, because ive been meaning to post about how i tell them apart!
the easiest way is their antennae. breadcrumbs left antennae is missing juuuuust a little length, whereas both of croutons antennae are full and undamaged, so if you can see someones antennae you can tell who it is pretty fast!
the slightly harder way is based on their markings. this is the way i tell them apart usually!
breadcrumbs markings are pretty unique in that her "stripes" are more like little spots the further down her back you go. heres my favorite demonstration picture:
Tumblr media
theres still a stripe of color thats darker than her base color, but the dark spots on top of them are much more well defined.
heres another good picture:
Tumblr media
the lady doing The Wall Dance on the right is breadcrumb. her lil dots are always easiest to identify from above/behind! crouton, on the other hand, has much bolder stripes. shes still got little spots over them too, as you might be able to make out in the picture above? but the stripes are much darker than breadcrumbs.
when you cant see their backs its a little trickier to tell them apart via pattern, but still possible if you know what to look for!
heres a couple of good pictures of crouton from the side (including another good view of crumbs back):
Tumblr media
croutons got wide, bold stripes, and they stay relatively dark as you go down her back too (depends on angle and lighting, but its still a decent way to tell her apart from breadcrumb).
Tumblr media
breadcrumbs stripes are a bit less bold, especially as you go down her back (where she gets more spotty).
Tumblr media
on her right side in particular, the dark "splotch" at the "tip" of her 2nd sclerite plate also catches my eye when i look at her.
Tumblr media
overall though, her markings are less bold than croutons (though its harder to tell in darker lighting!), and the spots that ARE dark seem a little disconnected
Tumblr media
finally, if i really wanna be a big showoff, i can tell their faces apart, ahaha.
both crouton AND breadcrumb have lovely eye markings that look sorta like an elegant cat eye mascara, but croutons is a bit shorter and thicker, while breadcrumbs is longer and thinner.
first, heres crouton:
Tumblr media
very beautiful very powerful
and heres breadcrumb:
Tumblr media
her mascara is super sharp!
if you look SUPER carefully, croutons mascara actually extends a little farther down her face, but its extremely thin, and you wont really be able to see it at a distance.
Tumblr media
anyway, the app only lets me attach 10 pictures to a post, so im unable to add anymore, but i hope this was informative! theyre pretty little ladies, both with their own unique looks (AND personalities)!
thanks for the ask! :)

Week ending: 20th July
I briefly got excited about another Connie Francis number, when I looked at what this week has in store. But no, unfortunately not. Still, Connie Stevens is a complete unknown to me, so that is kind of exciting. It seems like quite a specific song title, too - are we going to get a list song, here?
Sixteen Reasons - Connie Stevens (peaked at Number 9)
Yes, it's a list song! And somewhat predictable, it's a "sixteen reasons I love you" situation, ranging from one, the way you hold my hand, via five, the way you comb your hair and six, your freckled nose and even eight, your crazy clothes, all the way to how sixteen, our love's complete. It's a cute concept, very innocent and sweet - the steamiest we get is snuggling in the car. Which also is kind of amusing to me, because yeah, just driving places together in order to kiss and/or cuddle in the car really does seem to be an important part of dating in the 1950s, doesn't it? I guess it was just coming into the era when it would have been economically possible for teenagers to have their own cars, so of course they featured in music, but still. Funny.
This was really Connie's first musical success - she was an actress, having made her name playing a character called Cricket Blake in a detective show called Hawaiian Eye. This show sounds great, by the way - like all the noir detective tropes were just transported wholesale to Hawaii. Thus the standard-issue "office in a jazz club" becomes "office in a luxury hotel", with Cricket singing in the bar, because you simply have to have a glamourous bar singer girlfriend in this kind of show. She's also an amateur photographer, which makes her a sight more interesting than most love interests in this kind of show that we've seen so far. Add in a ukulele-playing cab driver, and you've got a show that basically sounds like a noir detective version of Hawaii 5-0, and I am here for it.
Anyway, this single, like I said, was part of an ongoing transition into music - which I suppose made sense, since the role she was best known for was as a singer - and it seems to have been a pretty big hit, big enough that it was covered not once but three times in the UK. I haven't looked to see if any of those covers hit the Top 10, but I suspect they probably didn't. Which is fine, because I think this is a song that might get wearing if I listened to it too much. As it stands, I think the song's sweet - a song that even by Connie's own admission was designed to appeal to 12 year olds, and that, in that light, does a pretty good job. I'd have found this very romantic, aged 12. There's absolutely zero nuance to it, but it doesn't need nuance, its purpose is literally just to be cute.
I might need to go to the dentist if I listen to this one much longer - that's how sugary and sweet it is. I have nothing against it, but it's definitely representative of the de-fanging of the rock and roll sound, and how it's being tamed into something that looks and sounds a lot more like modern pop than anything Chuck Berry or Little Richard or even Elvis would have recognised, three or four years ago.
Favourite song of the cutesy numbered bunch: Sixteen Reasons

[ad_1] Anneke Bosch and her tough grind to success. PC – PCB Transcripts relate to the conversation between the interviewee and interviewer. But with Anneke Bosch, the South African cricketer, it feels as if something intangible can be added – her candidness and simplicity. The first bits of Bosch’s reply to a query about her memories from childhood days is an indicator of it. Bosch ended up recounting a memory that turned out to be a harrowing experience.  “My dad (Pethrow Bosch) passed away about 10 years ago, so every time I go on to a cricket field, I think about special memories. Actually, there is one bad memory,” she told RevSportz. “When I was in Grade 7, we had a match against another school. I was the wicketkeeper. Dad was the umpire because it was his team. So, the coach was also the umpire. The third ball of the game, there was a top-edge. I tried to catch it, as I dived, I hit one of our players’ knees, because he was also going for the catch. I was like out; I can’t remember any of it. I woke up in hospital, I had a fractured cheekbone. My dad was quite traumatised by it.” That salient feature of Bosch could be once more observed when the discussion veered towards her game-breaking knock against the formidable Australian side in the T20 World Cup semi-final in Dubai. “Everything happened so quickly. In the moment, it felt like it was a dream, ‘was it me doing those things?’ All I was focused on was on the runs we needed and the balls remaining, I didn’t want it to become a stretch or leave it for someone else to come in and do it.” Bosch also pointed out that she didn’t exactly have a good World Cup up until the last-four game. A case in point would be the England-South Africa encounter, where she accumulated just 18 runs off 26 deliveries.  “I was happy with that knock, glad it finally came together, because the games before that didn’t go so well. It is funny how cricket works, how a tournament like that can change. The England game I played was one of my worst matches.” “A couple of matches later, I had one of my best. I guess sometimes it just works out. Sometimes it doesn’t. I just tried to keep things as simple as possible. I guess in some other games, I was overthinking and analysing things.” It wasn’t just one of Bosch’s best, but that knock will go down as one of the finest in the annals of women’s cricket. She slog-swept the left-arm spinner Sophie Molineux for a boundary while facing her fourth ball. The very next offering was cracked via the long-off region, with a skip down the wicket. After that it rained boundaries from her willow, as Bosch eventually ended up with a sizzling 48-ball 74.  Interestingly, over a period of time, Bosch has had her issues against left-arm spin. In her T20I career, she has been dismissed by that mode of bowling 11 times. However, she played with positive intent while facing Molineux and navigated through her spell. Bosch shares a few insights about working on her weakness.  “I know for a while that I have struggled against left-arm spin. I worked on it more, I tried to look at more options for ones, for boundaries. I have a better plan for it now, I have got more comfortable with it,” she said. After South Africa’s heart-stirring victory over the-then defending champions, they likely entered the summit clash versus New Zealand as the marginal favourites. The South African fans certainly believed so as they made a beeline entry into the stadium. South Africa, however, had to settle for the runners-up position for the second time in T20 World Cups. “Obviously, we were very disappointed, we were very sad, a lot of players were very emotional. It is understandable. I think we were proud of the tournament we had, that we reached the final again. It still hurts a lot of us. Yes, New Zealand was the better team on the day,” she said.  ***** Bosch. PC – BCCI At the age of 31, Bosch’s talents finally came into limelight on the grandest of stages – the World Cup. If we examine the footprints of her journey, a virtue or two helped her to achieve success – perseverance.
In the women’s game, a sizable number of cricketers earn their national cap at a very young age. Bosch, though, had to wait for her turn, making her international debut at the age of 23. The affable cricketer delves deep to narrate her backstory.  “When I went to the University, I was still mostly focusing on other sports (athletics and netball). It was in the second or third year of University that I started to take cricket more seriously.  I did honours in polytechnic and sports science. After completing University, I started working. That was quite difficult as you’re working from 7 AM in the morning to 6 PM in the evening. So, there wasn’t really much time for cricket in the first year that I worked. I went to the gym at night and played  a bit of cricket when we had domestic matches.  “The year after that, I still worked. But I took Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons off, so that I could go back to cricket. But then it came to a stage where I was kind of at a crossroads. I wasn’t so sure whether I should carry on playing cricket. Obviously, I had dreams of playing for South Africa, but it wasn’t quite working out at that stage. A couple of months after I started thinking in that direction, I got a call-up in (the) Under-19 (team). Still, after that I couldn’t play regularly up until 21-22.  “You see a lot of youngsters now making their debuts at 15-16-18. That wasn’t the case with me. I’m 31 now (smiles). Things happened a bit later for me. There were a couple of times when I thought it wouldn’t work out, but luckily it did. I am grateful for the journey and everything that it taught me,” she reckoned.  After partaking in a few ODIs in Australia, Bosch had to wait for three more years to represent South Africa. Interestingly, Bosch started out as more of a bowling all-rounder, who batted lower down the order.  “During that first tour, I was playing more as a bowling all-rounder. For three years, I was not selected for any tour. The T20I series in India was my next call-up after that Australia tour. I have always enjoyed my batting. Maybe as you got older, you learn a bit more about yourself and about your game. That is what perhaps helped me to improve my batting, change my role in the team,” she said. “It wasn’t something that I was focused on doing at that time. Obviously, I wanted to improve on my batting and bowling aspects, but I didn’t necessarily think it is going to be such a turnaround, where I am mostly seen as a batter, not even as a bowler anymore. But I enjoy batting higher up in the order. The only thing I miss is that with bowling if you make one or two mistakes, you can still come back into the game. With batting, you have one chance. More often than not, if you make one mistake, you have to sit in the dug-out, and your game is done,” she quipped. So, was there a watershed moment in Bosch’s career, where she made an impression with the willow, while batting higher up the order? Bosch once again took a trip down the memory lane to remember the specific moment that acted as a turnaround in her career – a couple of limited-overs games against India, in Lucknow, in 2021.  “I think about it now, it was another series in India, in 2021. I was still new, although I made my debut five years ago. I think I had played five ODIs and nine T20Is at that time. I think it was the 50-over game, I batted higher up because one of your players, Kapp, went off the field. She couldn’t go in and bat at her normal position because of the time factor. So, I batted higher than I was supposed to do, and I scored a fifty.  “The next game was a T20 match against India, I opened the batting because Tazmin Brits had gone back home due to family reasons. I wasn’t supposed to open the batting, but I opened, made a fifty. It was a bit of luck I guess because it wasn’t actually planned by the selectors or coaches for me to bat in those positions at that time. I probably started feeling or believing that I can bat up the order.” As the extensive interview neared its conclusion, there was still one question left for Bosch to answer.
How is Bosch outside of cricket? What are her hobbies? “I am very quiet and very laid back. I like to spend time with my friends and family. I started reading books not too long ago,” she replied. When pressed further about her new-found hobby of reading books, Bosch candidly said: “The one book I am reading now is – Why we sleep? – perhaps it sounds boring.” That bit of conversation once again highlighted something about one of her qualities – forthrightness. JFW Stats for Fun and Learning
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since I haven’t updated JFW in about a month, I thought it was time to go back for another stats post. I modified the criteria slightly for when I started doing posts over the course of several days instead of 1 entry. Now only the first entry would be counted in either the Top 10 or Hall of Shame unless it was an actual sequel. Reblogs are used as tie breakers in the case of the same like count.
There were some changes to the Top 10, but not many. I’m pretty sure nothing will unseat number one especially since I don’t plan on writing anything else for JFW (but never say never, eh?)
The Top 10 JFW Entries:
Doting BF Felix Y/N - 136 likes - posted January 26
2. Yunho Best Man / Maid of Honor Y/N - 81 likes - posted January 24
3. Ateez Valentine’s Day OT8 - 69 likes (yes I laughed like the mature adult I am) - posted February 14
4. Wooyoung Next Door Neighbor Y/N - 50 likes - posted February 20
5. Yunho Best Man / Maid of Honor Y/N - 47 likes - posted February 1
6. Yunho Royalty Y/N - 44 likes - posted March 7
7. Yungi Youth - 43 likes - posted January 17
8. Hyunjae Strangers at the Club Y/N - 41 likes - posted January 29
9. Juyeon / Aeri Hookup - 33 likes - posted April 24
10. Sunwoo / Yeji / Belle - 33 likes - posted May 10
The Juyeon / Aeri Hookup entry moved up 1 spot to 9 and the Sunwoo / Yeji / Belle entry took the 10 spot since it had 1 reblog, but Juyeon / Aeri Hookup had 2 reblogs. Part 2 of Doting Boyfriend Felix was previously 9 and is now 11.
The Bottom 10 JFW Entries:
SKZ OT8 Werewolves - 1 like - posted August 10 (this entry does include references to relationship violence so I’m not surprised)
2. Chanlix FWB - 1 like - posted January 4 (I’m not sure why y’all didn’t like this one, but you didn’t)
3. Milkyu Knife Play - 2 likes - posted October 14 (I can see why this one didn’t do well either, but aren’t the denizens of Tumblr supposed to be little freaks?)
4. Sunghoon Secret Virgin Y/N - 2 likes - posted July 15 (I left y’all hanging with this one so again I’m not surprised)
5. Jumil Arranged Marriage - 2 likes - posted June 25 (I’m a little confused with this one. The one directly after it got 6 likes. Were you expecting smut & disappointed?)
6. Younghoon / Aria Blind Date - 2 likes - posted June 4 (I’m also confused by this one. The other BG/GG pairings did relatively well but this one flopped like a dying fish. Again, expectation of smut?)
7. SOPE Seasons - 2 likes - posted April 29 (After people begging me for BTS, I give BTS & get…crickets)
8. Vmin Models - 2 likes - posted April 28 (No one here likes Vmin I guess?)
9. Woosang Grief - 2 likes - posted April 2 (I get this one because it touches on a pretty heavy subject)
10. Bbangju Royalty - 2 likes - posted April 1 (This one was violent so I get it)
Now for a new entry into my stats pool. I’m going to offer the top 5 underrated entries that I posted. These are ones I’m really proud of, think you should give a try if you haven’t, or I just wanted to give them some airtime that they might have otherwise missed.
The Top 5 Criminally Underrated JFW Entries According To The Author:
Mingi “Daddy” Y/N - 21 likes - posted February 29 - Free your minds! Eschew gender roles! Bask in the glory of a man calling a woman daddy!
2. Jumil Moonrock - 8 likes - posted May 18 - They made a video set to a song about fucking when you’re stoned off your ass. What did you want me to do? Also I think it’s decent smut.
3. Hyunjin / Juyeon Car Sex - 7 likes - posted April 23 - I feel like this is more than smut, it’s also an expression of love. However, the 2 Juyeon / GG crossovers were posted immediately after this one so it might have gotten lost in the shuffle.
4. The Entire Apocalypse AU - Just read it & give it a try, yeah? Also it’s about the only place you’re gonna see TXT in here.
5. Namgi Mirrors on the Ceiling - 2 likes - posted January 11 - It was my birthday & I was trying to be funny. C’mon y’all.
In all seriousness, thank you to everyone who has taken time out of their day to keep up with JFW or anything I’ve written. It means the world to me that people read (and hopefully enjoy!) my silly little stories. As of right now I’m still taking a break from writing. I’ll know when I’m ready to come back. Until then, please keep liking, reblogging, and commenting. It really does make my day.
XOXO

This month is Pride Month and Indigenous History Month so please support our indigenous turtle island communities, know who's land you're on and support queer indigenous turtle islander creators, & on top of that, July 13th is also my& birthday & July is also Disability Pride Month & Queer Wrath Month !! I& just find it's funny how white queers get all this support & clout, but the minute a queer Native Jew asks for any kind of mutual assistance, it's like cricket noises, but anyway, here I& go again, just in case someone actually does wanna help out!
While not obligatory, if you want to help support a local queer, trans, nonbinary, genderfluid, intersex, mspec, aspec, autistic, disabled, neurodivergent, hoh, chronically ill, psychotic spoonie witch two spirited mixed native and ashkenazi jewish bodied multigenic DID system who's an aspiring activist, ASMRtist, fashion model, voice & film actrex ( hopefully getting into something big on Netflix or HBO one day ), ASMRtist, youtuber/vtuber, polyglot & writer with asking us& to be your sensitivity reader, commissioning us& ( to be available! ), book a tarot reading with us& ( to be available! ), donating to help us& save up for getting our& multipurpose psychiatric service dog, and/or buying something from our& Throne wishlist which is a safe & anonymous way to buy gifts, because so far these are the best way to support us& or simply donating to our& P*yP*l because you enjoy our& content. Gifts are not necessary, but appreciated, & after receiving your gift if you choose to, I'd& be more than happy to send you a personal thank you photoset or clip or post something on tumblr or elsewhere, regardless, I'd& really appreciate it! We& didn't have a great childhood growing up as we& were abused for a decade & we& weren't taught many lifeskills so we're& still learning from the gate. Even though we aren't in a life threatening emergency, I'm& generally not in the right financial space to spend a lot & buying my& own shit because I'm& Saving Up™ for a lot of things, including the possibility of me& moving to my& first ever apartment next year & my& future service dog & I& cannot work due to my& multiple disabilities, the fact I& can't stand up for long periods of time without feeling exhausted & just being an overall madcripple, so whatever you do, it'd be greatly appreciated, especially if it's from white settlers, so if you're white, you can think of this as paying reparations us& for dealing with antinative racism, antisemitism, ableism, sanism, pluralphobia, psyism, audism, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, multitransphobia, aphobia, exorsexism, intersexism and the ongoing colonization of my people and fighting on the behalf of the indigenous, queer and plural communities on here while for any POC reading this, you can think of this as extending your solidarity with us&, so after I& spent a lot of blood sweats and tears into what i& do, I'm& finally asking something that would benefit me& for a change, even like 10$ could help, but even if you still can't for whatever reason, please spread the word out to help us& live easier as a disabled, neurodivergent mixed native system in this ableist & racist world !!
