Having an absolute normal one while waiting for TotK
So for some goddess-forsaken reason while running around in BotW, I had the thought over how much in game time it would take to get from one area of the map to the other.
I mean, it’s a pretty big map yea? How long would it take Link to get around if teleporting wasn’t an option?
So I started with going from the Great Plateau to the Dueling Peaks Stable.
It took 8.5 in-game hours to run from one end to the other when stopping to fight monsters. It took 6.5 to run once the path had been cleared.
It took 19.5 in-game hours to walk (moving while crouched is comparable to slightly moving the control stick to walk so I was able to save my thumbs thank Hylia), and thanks to a “convenient” blood moon I also learned it takes 23.5 hours when you need to fight off those monsters that see you.
Trotting on horseback (faster than a walk, slower than a gallop) also took 6.5 hours. So running is about equal to casual horse-riding. Good to know! Galloping took 4 in-game hours (walking on horseback is slower than Link’s walking pace so I decided I didn’t need to know that one).
But I also realized that horse gallop-speed varies based on the horse! So this called for more testing.
But wow. The scenery is getting stale.
Lets switch it up by going from Dueling Peaks Stable to Hateno!
On a two-star speed horse it took 4.5 in-game hours; three-star was 4; and four-star was 3.
Oh what else? Lets go from the stable to Kakariko!
That’s closer so lets take it easy with a nice horse trot. 4 hours. Which is also equal to Link running on foot. Nice.
Another scenery change! How about the Outskirts Stable to the Lost Woods entrance?
Travel speed? Trotting on horseback does seem like a realistic traveling pace, so let’s stick with that. 3 hrs. Cool.
What next, what next... How about travel between stables! Let’s do Outskirt Stable to Gerudo Stable.
Hmm, and we’ve been spoiling ourselves with that horse auto-pathing. Let’s WALK. Even having pre-cleared the path of monsters, walking took 27 in-game hours. OOF.
So yea. Im having fun. What am I doing with this information? Well so far I’ve a bunch of messy hand-written notes on some scrap cardboard. And then I made this tumblr post. Maybe I’ll make a spreadsheet (I like those).
And hey, BOTW FIC WRITERS. Do you want to know how long it would take to get from one point of the map to the other at whatever traveling speed? Want me to include things like resting for meals or nighttime or waiting out the rain? I’LL FUCKING DO IT. Just throw me reply/comment/ask. I’m basically looking for a reason here.
And in the meantime, I’ll keep up with the game file I got going where I make Link actually GO THE FUCK TO SLEEP at night (or at least resting by a fire and pretending he’s sleeping), and am keeping a tally of how many in-game days it takes me to rescue Zelda. So far I’ve activated all towers, made it to all towns, and calmed Vah Ruta. It’s been 79 in-game days. There have been 7 blood-moons. Our boy is so well rested 😌
#botw#Breath of the Wild#waiting for TotK#fanfic research#this shit is fun#give me more to do#the yiga ambushes are actually easier walking vs running cause you can just elemental-arrow them in the face more easily#realizing trotting was the same speed as running was a game changer#monsters mess with you a lot less on horseback#I really hope people message me with travel requests#I think it'd be fun#i am SO hype for TotK holy SHIT#okay maybe I should be like my Link and go to sleep myself#PEACE OUT

Today's Focus
03.21.24 - I have extra caffeinated coffee to sip on and my leftover Moe's for lunch this Out of Touch Thursday. With the stupid weather being so cold and not spring-like, it really does feel more out of touch than usual.
Work - There was one efile that came in yesterday and I already took care of it so, once again, unless I get asked to do something I don't have anything waiting for me to take care of.
Background Noise - I am doing popular media videos on YT today; lists, reviews, analysis, and news relating to like video games, film, animation, etc. I know I have stuff saved up on the Watch Later + a whole playlist of similar videos to work through.
I did watch 6 YT videos yesterday, and a full 6.5 hrs on my DVR so I have been watching things. Slowly.
Study - Thursday is book study day, so aside from the four books at home (two physical, two digital) I've got two here I'd like to get a least a chapter read from.
Yesterday I read a couple random articles, I did get to watch a couple of biographic videos (on Ada 'Bricktop' Smith, and Aloha Wanderwell) along with one episode each of CBS Sunday Morning and 60 Minutes.
Extras - It is Thursday, so I have to take out the trash tonight, but I'm caught up on the rest of the chores so far. I am back to cooking tonight, so dinner is going to be ham steaks with scalloped potatoes and green beans. Wrote my mini-essay; working on longer pieces one sentence at a time. Another hour of Turboranger and Batman are on the list; I think tomorrow it will be two hours of Turboranger so that I can a) watch Garo over the weekend [probs finish up the first series] and then restart Carranger next week.

Seoul Blog: First Day at Myeongdong
First day in Seoul.
It’s been a month, a lil more than a month and I don’t know if I am still retaining the memories correctly to be able to pen them down here. I do have vlogs to go back to but the details can never be captured in the vlog.
Our flight to Seoul was around 11.30pm I believe, this was my first ever long distance flight albeit its only 6.5 hrs. We were separated during our journey because we couldn’t check in online and had to check in at the counter, when we did that most of the seats were already taken and they only have singular seats.
I had to sit next to a loud ass group of friends the whole flight, god bless my airpods (that I got as a birthday gift from Safwan), I was actually planning to self pamper with a sheet mask and read but I was literally sitting in the middle and we all know that’s no one’s favourite seat.
When we landed it felt surreal, I was expecting cold weather right away, silly me. We were indoors so of course it was heated. The immigration process was quite smooth and we picked our luggage up.
Something interesting happened, I went into the toilet and somebody left their passport there, a Malaysian as well. I passed the passport to Diana because i urgently needed to pee, thankfully it has the stranger’s detail on it so Diana managed to return it to her. Random.
The nightmare begins when we took the train headed to our hotel, and realising that it was all stairs, they do have elevators but definitely not where it matters because all the exits are via stairs.
When we reached Myeongdong, Diana was left on the train because people were blocking her way! It was hilarious but stressful, the fact that the next station where she had to switch platform was full of flights of stairs must be traumatising.
We took exit 9 (yes I still remember) to get to our hotel, we stayed at L7 Lotte Hotel, and while carrying our 25kgs worth of luggage each two oppas came and helped us, although it felt slightly too late because it was literally a few more steps. But, we were thankful for the help though, because a lot of people just walked past us.
Thankfully the hotel were literally 100m away, or perhaps even lesser, it was like 50 metre away, I’m bad with distances as you can tell, how can 100m be 50m just a few words later. The cold air hit our faces like bricks, but it felt so nice.
The first 24hrs in Seoul felt so stretched, maybe because we had a full day and it felt like the day started at 11.30pm for us. We explore Myeongdong after dropping our luggages at the hotel, randomly went into a Michelin Star (Myeongdong Kyoja) restaurant and was so mind blown by their mandu and cold noodles, and the soup noodle I’m sorry I don’t know what it’s called.
Bookmarked a lot of places with “We’ll come back” and most of them we never did. We totally lost it at Olive Young, that was when I found out that my Wise Card was not fully activated, I even reminded Diana to activate her card learning from what happened to Hayley in Bangkok. I ended up not being able to use the card at all and had to transfer all my KRW to Diana’s card.
We also shopped at Baviphat and went to grab coffee at this newly opened cafe on the second storey of a building that I no longer remember the name of, just to wait till 3pm so we can finally check in to our room and freshen up.
It was pretty much just spending time at Myeongdong on the first day and taking in the people and night life by repeating our chant “can’t you believe that we’re here?”
Another core memory was standing in front of a closed down Banila Co. eating roasted squid and being so overwhelmed by it because it was like bottomless and never-ending.
It was the best.

Journal Entries. (2)
These are all mood journal entries (so super short / concise) of mine; where I chart my daily moods over a period of time.
These chronicle the time right before I scheduled an appointment with a psychiatrist (March) and when I started medication (antidepressants) for my depression / fatigue.
NOTE: These don't contain any long thoughts, literally just mood observations. But I think it does a pretty good job at showing just how inconsistent and sudden mood episodes / switching can be, and why they're so debilitating for trying to live a normal everyday life. I added some gifs / pictures for rando visuals LOL. Truly complete the reading experience 🤪.
Part: [1], [2], [3], [4] Bipolar PPT Essay: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6]
...
March 27th, 2021
Slept: 4am. Woke: 4pm
Mood: 2/10 Energy: Neutral (Maybe a 2/10)
I just feel empty. Like I need to go hibernate/go back to sleep. I’m not hungry. I’m not particularly motivated, and I kind of wish my sister would sit down and watch Hannibal with me and my mom, so it bums me out that she continues to put that off/ignore it.
I’m tired, man. It’s 8:21 pm, and I’m already thinking about going back to bed. When my family hangs out, I can be mindless and just let their good mood and entertainment take over. Other than that, I don’t feel particularly interested in doing anything, though I know I should. I have things to do. I don’t even feel bad about not doing anything. Just empty. Just ready to sleep.
March 28/29th, 2021:
:(
NOTE: Visual reference of what I looked like during this time
March 30th, 2021:
Bed: 6:30 pm. Woke: 4:30 am

I haven’t slept yet today
General mood: hmmm 5/10 (12:18pm)

Yesterday I posted the ribs and mash I made so here's the ribs recipe if you want it, since one of you requested (feel free to like modify however with any dietary restrictions you need!)
Credit links and what I did which is slightly different below.
Ingredients:
1. Beef Back rib or short rib (I only had back bc there's been some shortages) (I had like 5 ribs for reference)
2. Tomato paste
3. Beef stock (or any kind)
4. Chopped Vegetables: 1 onion (yellow or white), shitake mushrooms (or any kind ig), carrots, celery, 4 or 5 cloves of garlic
5. Red wine for cooking* optional
6. Balsamic vinegar
7. Brown mustard
8. Worchestershire sauce
9. Seasonings: salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, chili powder, fresh rosemary (or dry), dried basil, 3 bay leaves.
Steps:
1. Heat a skillet/pan with oil to high ish heat (olive or vegetable oil preferably)
2. Season ribs with salt and pepper. Sear your ribs on each side one by one, but don't cook through. Place in crock pot.
3. Add vegetables to pan with a little salt to sweat out. Once onions are clear and soft add a cup of wine (if you're not using wine just add more stock than I say to). Scrape bottom of pan to deglaze the beef drippings.
4. Once liquid is semi reduced/evaporated add like a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar and worchestersire sauce, 3/4 cups of stock, 2 tablespoons tomato paste, and like however much brown mustard you want for taste. Mix all around. Add a tiny bit of chili powder and paprika, sprigs of rosemary, basil, 3 Bay leaves and simmer. Add salt and pepper to your taste.
5. Once simmer and veggies are softer and like it's reduced a tiny bit (and if your using wine the wine should mostly be cooked off) pour over ribs in crock pot/slow cooker. Supplement any extra stock you need to in the pot to cook (I had to add like 1/4 cup). Cook on low for 6-8 hrs (I took out at like 6.5).
6. Once your done test to see if it falls off the bone/is cooked. You can strain and make gravy from the crock pot juices (though I'd dilute it a little!)
Enjoy! This recipe was inspired from this one with me adding a few things!
Tagging: @ranboopat (I googled to see I believe this could be kosher but not 100% so feel free to edit however you need to!).

“I want to get into Kingdom Hearts, but where do I start?”
Uh oh sisters I’ve fallen into the fixation station, I wanna gush about KH so I’m gonna infodump about it! KH is confusing and there’s so much plot but it’s a really endearing series I promise
A few disclaimers if you wanna get into the series:
You can’t just play KH 1+2+3 and expect to understand everything, sadly. It’s not like Zelda where you can hop into any game at any point, you DO have to play most games if you want to understand the plot. That means that if you REALLY want to get into the KH fandom, you gotta put in a lot of hours. Of course you’re free to only play whatever you want, but if you wanna understand the plot you need to play all of them.
Even with all the games, the plot can be confusing. Nomura be like that. They ret-con a lot of plot points and give half-hearted explanations at times, you’re just gonna have to deal with that if you want to get into the series.
You WILL become emotionally attached to at least one character. Good luck making it through 358/2 Days without crying.
KH fans are usually p chill and are super eager to help make sense of the plot for you if you ask nicely. No seriously we’re THAT desperate to infodump. I once sat a friend down for 40 minutes explaining the Sora-Roxas-Xion-Namine-Kairi-Ventus-Vanitas situation. ... Also beware KH fans because of how desperate we are to infodump.
WITHOUT FURTHER ADO HERE’S A BEGINNER’S GUIDE TO PLAYING THE KH SERIES UNDER THE CUT
Okay so I’m gonna lay out all of the games in 2 lists: order they were released and order they take place in the timeline. These lists will also include remakes and platforms
Order in which games were released:
Kingdom Hearts(2002 - PS2)
Chain of Memories(2004 - GBA) | Re:Chain of Memories(2007 - PS2)
Kingdom Hearts 2(2005 - PS2)
Coded(2008 - mobile) | Re:Coded(2010 - DS)
358/2 Days(2009 - DS)
Birth By Sleep(2010 - PSP)
Dream Drop Distance(2012 - 3DS)
χ* (mobile) ... See my asterisk below for this one
0.2: Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage (Only included in 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, The Story So Far, and All-In-One-Package[See Collections below for more details])
Kingdom Hearts 3(2019 - PS4+Xbox 1)
Melody of Memory(2020 - PS4+XBox 1+Switch)
Order in which games take place chronologically:
χ* (mobile) ... See my asterisk below for this one
Birth By Sleep(2010 - PSP)
0.2: Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage (Only included in 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, The Story So Far, and All-In-One-Package[See Collections below for more details])
Kingdom Hearts(2002 - PS2)
Chain of Memories(2004 - GBA) | Re:Chain of Memories(2007 - PS2)
358/2 Days(2009 - DS)
Kingdom Hearts 2(2005 - PS2)
Coded(2008 - mobile) | Re:Coded(2010 - DS)
Dream Drop Distance(2012 - 3DS)
Kingdom Hearts 3(2019 - PS4+Xbox 1)
Melody of Memory(2020 - PS4+XBox 1+Switch) [I presume it takes place after 3, but it wasn’t released yet so I’m not 100% sure]
Note: Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days kinda take place at the same time, but 358/2 Days goes past where Chain of Memories ends to I put CoM first
*What’s going on with χ :
Kingdom Hearts χ is... complicated. Long story short, it’s χ, Unchained χ, Union χ, and Dark Road all in one? Kind of? I’ll let Wikipedia explain:
So... yeah. They’re kind of all in one. To be honest, KHUX is not necessary for understanding the KH plot, but is still fun for people who enjoy mobile games and want a bit more lore- esp for fans who like self inserts. The plot of KHUX is the player’s self-insert character dealing with everything leading up to and going through the Keyblade War, whereas Dark Road covers Xehanort’s origin story. Back Cover(a movie, not a game) is in the same bundles as 0.2: Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage, and covers the plot of the Union Leaders and Master of Masters leading up to the Keyblade War.
Don’t worry about it if you just want the plot, just watch the Back Cover movie and you’ll be fine <3
Collections:
Do you want to not have to buy like 10 games and like 5 different devices just to play the KH series? Have I got you covered! The following collections were released, each one containing more games than the last. Go with All-In-One if you want everything up to and including 3
NOTE: some games are included as “Movies”. Rather than having a playable remake of the game, they play CG cutscenes of the game that explain the plot. Good if you just want the plot, but you’ll have to get the original game if you want the gameplay.
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix (2013 - PS3): Kingdom Hearts, Re:Chain of Memories, 358/2 Days[MOVIE]
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix (2014 - PS3): Kingdom Hearts 2, Birth by Sleep, Re:Coded[MOVIE]
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue (2017 - PS4, 2020 - Xbox One): Dream Drop Distance, 0.2: Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage, χ Back Cover[MOVIE]
Repackaged collections AKA more bang for your buck:
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix (2017 - PS4, 2020 - Xbox One): Everything in both 1.5 Remix and 2.5 Remix listed above
Kingdom Hearts: The Story So Far (2018 - PS4): Everything in 1.5 + 2.5 Remix AND all games listed in 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue
Kingdom Hearts: All-In-One-Package (2019 - PS4) Everything in The Story So Far AND KH3. Your entire KH plot before Melody of Memory is covered in this one
Videos:
“I can’t afford to get all of these things,” you cry in agony, “But I still want to understand the plot without just watching a summary video!” I feel you, I feel you. Well thank the youtuber gaming community, because every game has at least one compilation of every cutscene spliced together. The downside is you dont get to play the games, and you’ll miss some small things such as normal NPC dialogue that isn’t triggered by cutscenes alongside setting-centric context, but these are still your best friend if you want the full emotional weight and comprehension of the story. ... It’s also much faster to get through than watching or playing the entirety of the game. Length of each video is noted.
Kingdom Hearts (~4.5 hrs)
Chain of Memories (~3 hrs)
Kingdom Hearts 2 (~13 hrs)
Re:Coded[MOVIE] (~3 hrs)
358/2 Days[MOVIE] (~3 hrs)
Birth By Sleep (~6.5 hrs)
Dream Drop Distance (~5 hrs)
χ Back Cover[MOVIE] (~1 hr)
0.2: Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage (~1hr)
Kingdom Hearts 3 (~10 hrs) | Re:Mind DLC (~3 hrs)
(protip: when i was binging these i watched them on 1.5X speed to get through them much faster. They talk slow enough that you can usually absorb it fine. Srsly I binged everything up to KH3 and watched most of these on 1.5X speed- I did the math it took me ~29.5 hours to get through ~40.5 hours worth of content.)
In Conclusion:
pls play kingdom hearts i need more people to cry with thank u for ur time

hey betts, i was just wondering (based on a recent reply), have you always needed more than 10 hrs sleep to feel rested? just bc i've realised recently i'm a "long sleeper" (i'm p sure its not vitamin deficiency) and my 9-5 is ruining my life lol and would like to commiserate with others like me :P sorry for the weird/possibly invasive question, feel free to ignore
oh goodness, yes i will absolutely commiserate with you. unfortunately i don’t have a solid answer for myself because i’m still figuring it all out. in 2014 i was diagnosed with “hypersomnia” (which i call narcolepsy because everyone knows what narcolepsy is and the symptoms are virtually the same), which, to quote my doctor, meant, “you’re just a really sleepy person.”
the results of my sleep test were intense. it was an 8 hour daytime test in which i took five 20-minute naps over the course of the day, and they measured how quickly i hit REM sleep. a normal person should not be able to hit REM during the day in twenty minutes. not only did i hit REM every single time, in the third nap, which was well past noon, i hit REM in 11 seconds. i also cheated on the test and took illegal naps between scheduled ones.
but hypersomnia never really felt right to me. the diagnosis got me where i needed to be, which was working from home 10am - 7pm, but i knew there was something else wrong. i spent 2014 experimenting with my energy levels and fixing my disordered sleep. prior to my diagnosis, i slept from 2am - 6am and 5pm - 8pm. on the weekends i slept midnight - noon or 1pm. it was horrible. my doctor told me i had poor sleep hygiene, but offered no treatment or assistance to rectify it.
what happened was that over time i realized i had been existing in an extreme sleep deficit. since i was 6 years old, i remember being ungodly tired. i knew i had a problem when a coworker told me, “you should want to be awake,” and it was like sirens going off. i had never, in nearly 20 years, wanted to be awake. if you had asked me at any point “if you could do anything right now, what would you be doing?” i would always, always want to be sleeping.
i slept 10 to 11 hours almost every night for six months-ish, and sometimes napped during the day. i felt like i’d been making up for all the hours of sleep i’d missed my entire life. eventually it kind of fixed itself. i slept 6.5 to 8 hours a night, felt tired naturally, woke up naturally, and didn’t get tired during the day (most of the time). i became acutely aware of the dips in energy i had throughout the day (4pm - 5pm has always been hard for me).
but then in 2017 i was diagnosed with PTSD, and that shined a new light on the sleep disorder, which i see now as a symptom of something much bigger. the amount of fear or anxiety i face in a day is directly correlated to the number of hours i need to sleep. so with a new job, i’ve needed much more sleep than usual, until my body stops being in this weird survival mode. (one of the worst triggers for me is feeling trapped, so i always drive myself everywhere i go in case i need to nap in my car or run away)
mostly the task has been listening to myself all the time. when monkey brain says to sleep, i do, even if human brain says “it’s 2pm!! wake!!” but it’s very hard to listen to your monkey brain when you’re living in a world where everyone tells you your tiredness/fatigue is laziness and you just need to get up and go for a walk.

9.21.19
I’d like to share the steps that I went through as far as the hiring and onboarding process that have led to the crazy reality of myself being three days away from flying to Europe and living on a ship for 6.5 months. I can only speak for what getting on with Royal Caribbean is like; I have no idea how different the process is for other cruise lines. But from from what I’ve gathered from talking to friends, it’s all fairly similar, which is a comforting thing to know when you’re in the middle of it, because it does all seem like a big, confusing series of checklists from start to finish.
I applied to Royal in January of this year, knowing that I already had a seasonal gig lined up from June through mid August and hoping to aim my start date for somewhere around the middle of September. All that took to get things started was applying online through their portal: entering some personal info, answering a survey about some questions relating to my desired position, and attaching a resume. I was expecting this to take a couple of months to process through their system, but they emailed me back I believe within two weeks of my application. I had two very quick Skype/phone interviews with recruiters in February, and had received an offer letter by early March. This letter basically informs you that they’re interested in having you hired, and that you’ve made it through the interview process. Your actual letter of employment and contract ensuring your acceptance into the company come much later, after passing the pre-employment onboarding tasks. They’re saving you a spot, but you’re not guaranteed yet.
The main items involved in the pre-employment screening were a medical clearance, background check, local police clearance, and seafarer training/certification course. A semi intensive process haha. These things all have their varied timings and expiration dates so they have to be done the correct amount of time from your availability date. So I sent in my background check info in April, finished up my time in New York, moved to Virginia for the summer, and otherwise waited around so that I was closer to my start date to complete the remaining tasks. Over the summer I drove out an hour and a half or so to the nearest approved medical facility for my tests, and when I got home in August, I finished the rest of my major pre-employment roadblocks (the seafarer training was done online). After that came a bit of talking back and forth with my onboarding representative, who has been answering my questions diligently since I received my offer letter however many months ago, and we tried to pin down my availability for that rigging training as well as the final bits and pieces of my contract. Like I said in the last post, by the time I had gotten my stuff turned in, the rigging courses were full until the new year. The rep and I decided to have me start closer to my intended date, but as a less specialized position at first instead of waiting around a couple months to be trained for the rigging work.
So finally after all that, I got my ship assignment email at the beginning of this month. Yay! That one certified that I had cleared all the necessary no man’s land tasks and that I could officially be considered hired by the company. It also let me know where I’d be starting my work, and on which day. I’ve since been given various crew sites and apps to log into to check on travel information, I’ve done a bunch of online HR training modules, I’ve gotten a clearer checklist of what to bring on board, and its all juuuuuust starting to dawn on me that this is a real experience that I’m actually going to be partaking in. For seven months. Crazy. I have no concrete idea what to expect, but I do expect it to be a great experience and a lot of hard work. I just don’t have any clue what the day-to-day life is like... Guess I’ll let you know lol.
Overall, this process was a lot of getting partial information and then having a million more questions about how to proceed. It was never a single, clear checklist of the things I needed to get turned in to RC. My rep has been very, incredibly helpful (despite the 15 hour time difference, as they’re located in Manila) but it’s definitely a confusing process. It also involves putting some of your own money down for the medical clearance, which is done through a third party company. And that, a hundred million percent, feels like you’re being scammed when you’re writing that check. But now that I’m not in the middle of being overwhelmed by all the startup things, I feel like the lack of one consistent guideline for being hired makes plenty of sense. People are hired from so many different countries and RC has to line all this stuff up through all of those separate governing bodies, and so that everything complies with maritime laws as well. I’m sure it’s incredibly complicated on their end. Plus now that I’ve gone through all that, it’s comforting to know that everyone else working on board has been screened as thoroughly as I was haha.
But just know that if you’re going through the pre-employment process: yes it’s very hectic and there’s a lot of back and forth to figure out how exactly you need to get everything completed. And yes, it’s normal to get info fairly last minute. I got an offer letter back in March and had only just now (in early September), three weeks before my first day, been told which ship I would be on and exactly which day I would be starting. It’s kinda just dropped upon you when you get everything lined up and turned in, and from what I’ve heard from every other person I know who has been on other cruise lines- that’s absolutely normal. Just gotta roll with it, and be diligent about asking any questions you have. (Seriously, my onboarding rep has been my lifeline) Maybe that’s just your first test to see if you can handle working on a cruise ship after all. Ha.
So there’s all of that, in case you were curious. It has been an adventure already, full of paperwork and waiting rooms. Now it’s time for the fun part.

A Partnership In The Performs
Lithium Ion electric batteries can deal with a limited, somewhat variable lot of cost patterns within a freely described life-span of a couple of years. It was Lifestyle digital photographers that took our grandparents and great-grandparents into the battlefield troughs from World War II, acquired all of them closer to Eisenhower and Elvis, that had our parents in to the jungles, mountains, as well as rice industries of Korea as well as Viet Nam, and had our company right into the burning deserts around Kuwait, historical urban areas from Iraq, as well as the bare hills from Afghanistan. The brand-new Type Master is Mac Operating System X native, and also has been actually fully upgraded, integrating palm coding devices with the highly effective, easy to use publishers which have gained the use such a dedicated following among criteria based Internet designers. In the end, maintain your standpoint as well as be actually realistic - certainly not idealistic - with how the partnership grows. Humans versus aliens is one such game - while the developer does not point out X-Com in the activity's listing, this leads along with a couple of doubter quotes that do - as well as it's simply gotten a large update. Select a style in the Regular design template's list and also copy in the other path to include one of your types to another paper. I desire your beginning disorders to possess an effect on just how hard lifestyle is for you as the player. Most up-to-date update: Changed the initial New Trent Airbender with the latest Airbender 1.0, 2.0, as well as Pro designs; upgraded Zagg product labels; upgraded price and also alternatives for Brydge+. This is actually unsatisfactory to view Lifestyle Is Unusual slim into its angrier story strings to complete its own otherwise-touching individual tale, yet its own mental closing and character resolutions make this a more unforgettable ending compared to its own unjustifiably black plot twists. Certainly not simply are the buttons huge enough to contact, however due to their placement, they are actually pretty easy to use. CORAAAAAL
I’m not trying to get into fights with other nonnies in ye inbox, but also I’m not NOT trying…
1. Napa Valley is a 6.5 hr drive from LA. It took me 2.5 seconds to google that.
2. I feel like people don’t get the humor/vibe on this blog. It’s a love on Benny but also let’s not inflate his ego and we just wanna laugh at his grandpa vibes, face palm our heads when he runs his social media account and deletes comments and also thirst over his selfies. I for one enjoy your blog and use it as a break after my zoom meetings to catch up and laugh at your answers and hashtags. It’s entertainment to me. Society likes to idolize celebrities but reality they are just like us but their choice of profession puts them in public eye. So even if they don’t want the criticism (I’m not saying it’s right), that’s part of the cost of fame.
3. And tbh I feel like some of your post and your responses are really what people are thinking anyways- you just use this platform to give voice to it. People get so riled up on the internet- like chill out. It’s not that serious.
(Insert image of the barkling 🐶
Another one for the team... Imma sure it was just Bulianne I want it back kind of ask ;c
EMMMM I don't get the humor either, it's just mostly me going through different stages of weird per day x.x Ye do make a great point tho I got myself outta the idolize and protect yer fave yeeeeeeeeears back when I realized there is a real life and most probably I already lost the game x.x some people don't get that still ;c
This is the fucking thing that always happens. There are people agreeing and disagreeing and we do have lotsa misunderstandings here too. And then for a while my opinions will align with one of the sides but at some point I will change my mind cuz that's how I am. And then it's a worldwide catastrophe xd people on the internet have no chill yessss and so does ma stupidity! and like how seriously ye can take a blog which is about 40yo man child with the title of Loyal Puppy?
And as per request...
#ehehehehehe grandpa vibes#sad but funny and sad and then soso true#as to Benny being the head of Benny Boy social media department...#why he never left any like for his new fren aka the Lewis guy?#like not even one#still no like of bennys on the announcement post either#but he liked all other costars of his...#is there a lil something brewing?????#ALSOOOOOOOOO#would love some Benny thirst content alright?#but all we got lately is adorable and cute at best#nothing 🔥🔥#just meh ;c#thanks for the message tho muffin#will not let them pick a fight with ye#im not in a mood for fights ;c#cries yes#but no fights#AND DO REMEMBER#we are here to spread joy and laughter#on bennys expense it is 🙊

lunch @ Hanaichi
Suuuuuuuper sorry for the late post *insert sigh face emoticon here* it has been busy around the house but after the next few days or so, things will be better as we enter fall season (my 2nd fav season). A lot of ppl like summer but I’m part of the minority; I hate sun, I hate heat, & most importantly, I hate the bugs & burns associated with hot weather -.-” So I’m looking forward to autumn =]
I came to this restaurant last week for lunch. I can’t recall when I started seeing this restaurant around. It’s located on Whyte Ave, & I think I saw it a few months back when I was stepping out of Nongbu & this happened to be across the street from the main intersection on Whyte Ave.
In any case, I went with the expectation that this was a place that’s in-between a fast food place & a sit-down restaurant. What do you call this types of eateries? Bcos I have no idea. Their menu looks promising & I deeply considered getting a lunch combo; however, I went on a Sunday so it was not available.
Here’s the full shot of the wall. Although completely unrelated, their wall reminded me of Nudoru’s wall & Pho Boy’s wall - they all have the full size painting on the one side of the restaurant. More specifically, on the left side when you enter. Coincidence? Same company of interior design?
I sat down in the corner, on a bar stool after I made my order. Here’s what the interior looked like. Pretty small place! [I went to the washroom after my meal & the hallway to it was like the longest one ever haha I didn’t think the restaurant was so narrow!]
Never complete without bamboo :P
So their menu. Aside from the chalk board on the wall that outlines the lunch combo & happy hr, they have a slideshow (of their menu, with pictures) on one of their 2 TV’s (the other is just playing whatever). The full paper menu is only existent next to the till, which, to me, seemed very “fast food”-like.
Page 1.
Page 2.
So you see, it’s underneath a piece of plastic. They don’t hand out menus. I was sort of expecting this but. .. it was still a little strange to me bcos I rarely encounter this at a “restaurant”. At the same time, it’s not like it is a fast food restaurant bcos. ..
. ..they bring water to you o_O they also don’t bring your food out in trays. Oh! & they don’t call your order number or anything so you get your food up at the counter. Altogether, definitely a new (& somewhat awkward) dining experience for me.
I got the tonkotsu ramen. I felt like amen bcos I haven’t had ramen in a long time & I’m always up for noodle soups. When the ramen was brought to me, I didn't really smell anything - usually, the broth emits a very appetizing fragrant broth-y smell, if you know what I mean? This one was quite unscented. (Notice I didn’t add the soft egg. .. bcos it was $1.95!)
The ramen was standard sized, I would say, with 2 pieces of meat =( The broth was milky in colour but lacked depth. Toppings included some corn (my fav!), wood ear fungus, green onions & bamboo shoot. There was also 1 piece of the Japanese fish cake (the white/pink spiral ones), which you can’t see as it was at the bottom. My fav part was just the noodles, tbh. I like my ramen noodle kind of al dente (vs instant noodles/ramen, I like it on the softer side). The noodles were chewy, just the way I like them. However, overall, it was very normal & even a bit subpar compared to other ramens I’ve eaten. Also considering the price. .. I would likely be back for other items but not the ramen. 6.5/10.
* * * epilogue * * *
After ordering my ramen at the counter, I sat down, & the time was 1:08pm (I got these times from the photos taken from my phone). It wasn’t until 1:25 that I got my water- tbh, I wasn’t expecting the water anyway but it took a loooong time to reach me for whatever reason. My ramen came 6 mins after that at 1:31. You might be thinking why am I mentioning all this. It is so that you (& my future self) know. Not sure if it was just the day or if they were going thru something in the kitchen. .. it definitely wasn’t the 4 customers that were present during my time - our food came out all at once even though we were unrelated. I can’t believe it took nearly 25mins for my bowl of ramen to appear as it clearly wasn’t buy. So if you were thinking of grabbing a quick meal here, I’d suggest elsewhere as service isn’t very efficient. ..

So I finally got the true ending. It's better in presentation and has some of the better animations with more expressions and mannerisms than the entire game before it. However, it loses a bit of drama from the other two endings.
More below
Any ending you get does pave the way for more story either in dlc or a sequel. I made the mistake of starting over because i have my levels and equipment, but I lost ALL of my affection levels after all of that work. I thought I could just save it to a new file but I guess not. oh well, at least if I want to replay the story it'll be a speed run since the enemies are still set at regular levels. Maybe leveling will be funner this way. That affection grind is going to SUUUUUUCK tho. Hopefully future dlc won't require it.
So final score? 6.5 out of 10. A fun game that honestly is one of the funniest shooters I've ever played, especially with the sword, but the story by itself is kind of intriguing at parts but some side stuff with characters feels too rushed or boring, and the visual novel style for those scenes doesn't work well, imo. The new characters can be really intriguing but also aggravating. The dating system is lackluster and exists as a basic harem simulator with hardly anything thrown in for the gameverse only characters in those or real story, despite A. One literally coming out to say she loves you and B. Honestly being more intriguing than, say, Silica or Leafa.
Kirito mode, while it has the overall best animation for the entire story, feels very cheap compared to the source material. The anime showed all of these amazing locales and varied locations and the game itself has plenty of different spots, but all of the fights are restricted to one place and broken with cutscenes to take you out and annoy you. Death Gun is still really cool as a villain as far as how his deaths were handled but the fight was just so... So bland, and could have been so much better. Other than that, if A. Kirito is married to Asuna and B. If the MC apparently is JUST LIKE HIM (ffs they even have a motorcycle licence irl), why are so many characters dateable only for him and receive more story for the ones only the MC can date and STILL imply they have feelings for Kirito? Like okay I would understand Sinon because she and Kto went through shit and honestly I feel like Asuna would be okay with them on the side, or even Yuuki since she's dying irl, but the others should at least be fair game.
Leveling is slow and the affection mechanic is so slow too. I've complained enough about that but still, why couldn't it just be a meter that goes up with levels or more time spent or just not take so long in general? If anything make praising increase it by 5 percent and reviving by 15 or 20%, maybe items to increase it further. Also more scenes besides bed scenes would have been nice.
As for any last gripes, I know of the alternate game story from Hollow Fragment and Lost Song, and started watching Hollow Realization but lost interest, and haven't touched AW v SAO Millenium Twilight, so I'm missing some story here. I really can only blame myself for missing some story. However, it would have been nice if there was a synopsis of those stories so any references made to them, like in Kirito Mode where apparently Kyoji/Speigel played Sword Art Origins in HR and thus we lose some story there. Plus it just would have been nice for the game only characters to have more of a role.
However, now is the time that I should praise what it does right. Honestly speaking, this is the BEST SAO game in terms of gameplay. If you took away some of the story or had just presented the game as is without SAO attachments, it would be an easy 8 out of 10 alone. Mind you I enjoyed Lost Song as well, but the fast paced fighting and shooting is fun, and with the aim assist I can FINALLY not suck at a shooter. The photon sword had me worried since it is a shooter, but the balance is just right to accommodate for it without sacrificing the whole GUNS GUNS GUNS thing, and it ended up being my go to for the majority of the game.
Character customization is also at it's best with the series since you're not Kirito for once. You are gender locked once you start the story, but you can easily choose the other gender for your ArFa-Sys to experiment with both, or choose two boys or two girls. Any way you spin it, unless you're desperate to be fat or humongous, you'll be satisfied with your characters. Just understand that the game is probably written with the understood notion that the mc is a guy and your ArFa-Sys is a girl, even if they make no direct claim to it.
The scenery is gorgeous, the graphic are really nice, and honestly I never got tired of it. There were times I wanted more scenery diversity, but given the game's post apocalyptic cyber punk world, I'm probably lucky to have gotten a forest to begin with. Some enemies are repetitive but not nearly as repetitive as past games of the series, imo. At the least, it works. I guess my only complaints are some lag and that some scenes are a bit hanky with textures still popping into place, but it works.
The story has issues, don't get me wrong. It suffers the same issues that DBXV suffers with a constant shadow cast on your character, but at the least they openly admit that you're just as good, if not BETTER than Kirito, aka Mr. Perfect.the story focused on the mc is a bit slow to warm up, but when things finally get serious towards the end, your character shines through as THE HERO. The true ending is tough to get, yes, and honestly there's elements of both the bad ends and true ends I like, but the new characters are interesting most of the time and ArFa-Sys is such a lovely ai that just can't do wrong, I can't hate her. Not only this, but Kirito actually works better as a support chacter than main character here. The thing about the story is that you need to understand it's not totally 1 to 1 with the anime or novels, as stated previously, so some things are different. However, it feels more like SAO than some SAO games in the past, and the twists toward the end honestly really makes you feel immersed with actual STAKES other than clearing the game. Plus the open ending feels great, though does leave a little to be desired . Hopefully dlc takes care of it.
Music is also really good. It's not the same kind of good as the anime's ost, but it is it's own kind of good. Personally speaking, I've had Thrill, Risk, Heartless on repeat for maybe over two months now, but it is also from one of the same people behind actual SAO openings so perhaps that's why.
As far as any last wishes or things I'd change that aren't listed above how about these:
The MC should have had a spot in BoB. I actually thought it'd be that way from the opening sequence, but that was misleading and probably purposely dropped and just not removed from the op. I'm just saying, as skilled as we are, there better be a future BoB arc where the Mc gets to participate properly, even if we had our hands full during the story.
Take less of a visual novel style for side stuff and do legit cutscenes like the rest of the game.
Add more color possibilities to the photon sword.
Allow mix and matching of outfit portions
Maybe make Kirito and his friends less intrusive to the story other than game canon characters. I reckon it was a tad overwhelming for ALL of those characters to be on screen at once, so we could do without some characters from his group like Sillica and Pina, Agil, Leafa, maybe Yui, etc.
A better dating system with maybe more scenes for the ones you can date and a sort of post game scenario behind it? Idk, it'd be nice, personally speaking, to experience more than a bed scene and fan service. Maybe that's asking too much, idk.
That room that's closed off in your home: tf is it???
And please fix hair collision. I know it's a lot to ask for but I hate seeing hair fade through someone's body.
And as far as anything I want from the next game or dlc:
Ordinal Scale would be really cool if it game as DLC, but I'd take it as a separate game as well.
Find a way to connect the characters from this game to that game. Pull a DB XV 2 maybe, maybe have our old characters return with a converted account or mentor the newbie.
Also, dual wielding swords. Please. Or let me use more than two. I can pull a Zoro.
Either Ordinal Scale or something based on Alicization, and maybe give Kirito and the main guys a break to focus on game characters. Boy that'd be something.
Anyway, final thoughts: if you're into SAO, this game is pretty decent and fun, but don't go expecting it to be a cake walk. Definitely look up a synopsis for some of the past games to get some of the references (although be warned that the fan service is intensified in many cases and I barely got through hollow fragment because it's easily the worst with it). Don't expect a 10 out of 10 experience, you're not going to get it. You can expect fun times and a decent challenge with the game by itself and honestly can skip events if that's all you're going for.
I'd wait a bit on getting it until a price drop, maybe. Here's to hoping the dlc is fun!
