That’s right, it’s time to panic!  Hurry with those moodboards, sketches, and drabbles!  And once you’re done posting all of them, don’t forget the Submission Form!  You have to fill out this form for EVERY SQUARE FILL you make, as this is where we pull all the info for the roundups.  It’s also where we confirm badges, so go do the thing.

Masterposts are also due!  You’ve got until July 5th for those, and we’ll add the links to our Grand Masterpost.  You can also use the link to your masterpost when claiming your badges!

Badge Claims can be found here.  We’ve got 2 badges available, Participation for filling at least one square, and Bingo for filling a whole row!  Our fabulous guest artist @feignedsobriquet has made some AMAZING badges, and we will get those emailed out throughout this next week.

Sam Wilson, Captain America

I made a little felt figure of Sam in his new Captain America costume! It was a fun challenge figuring out which elements to use/how to translate the design to fit onto a 4 inch tall figure, with pieces I could actually manage to cut out of felt 😅

I might come back in later and figure out how to add some wings, but for now he at least has a tiny shield as an accessory!

The Writings | Year 2020 Review

Eons ago in the beginning of 2020 I had 2 goals.  1: Write >250K, stretch goal >300K 2: Write a fic that was >30K

#1 was accomplished with a total of 356,524 words written in 2020. This might be surprisingly high and that’s because only ~50% of those words ended up posted on AO3 with 182,811 words. Which is absolutely why I started tracking word counts differently!!

Note: Word count doesn’t track small edits, but if I did massive rewrites than I did include the words of the second draft because I was usually writing into a blank document anyway with very few sentences remaining the same. 

#2 wasn’t accomplished, and I wasn’t at that close. The highest word count on a fic I achieved was The Three Heart Problem at 21K, but given that was the only >10K fic I finished and posted this year was still quite an accomplishment!

34 of my fics were rated teen 14 were explicit 11 were mature 7 were unrated (prompt collection) 0 were gen (because teen is my default)

which means I don’t write as much smut as I think I do, though my most popular works this year were my StevexTonyxBucky explicit fics (the most popular fic in both hits & kudos being A/B/O with breeding kink wow what a shocker XD).

The majority of my fics (39) were TonyxBucky - another complete surprise, I know! But there were some other pairings including: StevexTonyxBucky (12), TonyxBuckyxNatasha (4), and a new pairing for me this 2020 : TonyxBuckyxClint (2)! For non-TonyxBucky content there was a handful of no pairings (some of which are Tony & Bucky though... hahaha) and a TonyxEddiexVenom and a TonyxPepperxSteve.

If I did my math right that’s 78 bingo squares. Which sounds like a lot but it’s like blacking out 3 bingos which makes it sound like a lot less to me considering there’s 11 bingos on the list. I adore bingos as an event. I LOVE all the ideas I get, even if I don’t end up writing them. But I’m probably going to need to change this going forward to write the things I want to write in 2021. 

Okay a break from the numbers game into more feelsy review/recollection. 

I wrote more words in 2020 than I expected, and that might be because of the pandemic - or maybe I would’ve written more without COVID, who knows. Writing in March and April took hits, but I scraped by and met the progress goals but then delved into writing in May, June, and July as an escape from COVID things. Then writing got harder and harder towards the end of the year - October was rough, I didn’t complete Nano, and Dec I limped along. 

The numbers I like because it shows that I met the overall writing goals even though right now I don’t have that feeling of accomplishment. There’s fics I owe, deadlines I’ve missed, so many things I needed to write & finish but haven’t. But I can be proud of what I’ve done, and I am. 

Never expected to write Hanahaki Disease, but I did. Fluffy, of course. Why die from flowers in your lungs when you could woo your intended with the beautiful bouquet? 

Tony and Natasha as bumblees and Bucky as an injured wasp? Yes it’s crack and yes it was absolute fun. 

Well, that was 2020. I worked on things. I learned things. Hopefully I improved in things. 

2021, here we go!

Summary: The comparison of winter to autumn. Part 1/2 of seasons comparison.

A/N: Some cold winter and some romantic autumn. Also, I currently have an obsession with everyone calling everyone Bub so be prepared for that. Also Autumn = Fall for those who decide to change the names of the seasons.

Winter was always freezing to Peter ever since that stupid (it wasn’t really stupid, it was actually quite cool) spider bit him he hasn’t been able to thermogate. So in winter it 4 blankets at night and under amour on during the day acting as a full-body heater. The snows pretty though, he can give it that.

Now being winter holidays he’s off school preparing for Christmas with his large extended family (read: The Avengers) and his much smaller Parker-Stark family. Because now Peter Parker-Stark had a family to keep him warm in the winter.

On Christmas eve while everybody else enjoys the cold, outside weather Peter finds himself curled up on the couch.

He can’t even eat the peppermint that pops up everywhere anymore. He’s now allergic.

Tony sees him first, 3 blankets piled on top of him, the heater on full blast in the modern wood cabin that he gets to call his retirement home. “Pete, you okay bub?” The only sound that comes from the blanket pile is a small “hemp” which indicted to Tony that ‘no’ Peter is not ‘okay’.

“Your missing out on all the fun outside,” Tony should be good at persuading but Peter is too cold to even want to listen “it’s too cold outside.”

Sighing Tony nods understanding.

He comes to sit next to Peter putting an arm around him and Peter snuggles into the warmth that the older man brings with him. Turning on the TV the channel changes from the kid’s station that Morgan was watching that morning to a bonfire off the screen “it’s okay we can have our own bonfire inside.”

They can still hear everybody yelling outside but it all feels much better Tony just being here with one of his kids, the person that needs him the most in that one moment.

It’s autumn that Peter thrives in.

The orange and yellows of the leaves the excitement of being colder but not too cold that he’s frozen all the time. + Peter is a basic and so the fact that pumpkins are in season makes his mouth water at the taste of cinnamon.

Tony can deal with autumn.

He enjoys watching his ex-wife making pumpkin muffins and his kids playing in the leaves as if it’s snow. The thing he enjoys most is the essence. He doesn’t know why everybody is happier but everybody is and it’s great to be a part of it.

Morgan also loves the bonfires that Happy makes on weekends. When it’s late at night and all you want to do is sit under the night sky fire warming you up. May and Happy curl up to each other on a love seat. Harley flies in from Tennesse and everything is just great.

And cinnamon is everything. (Not the peppermint that Peter is now allergic to (thanks spider-bite). It’s sweet and hot chocolate becomes in season.

Winter Autumn is great.

“Can you grab me that-” Tony clicks his fingers at Harley only to watch his son smirk “the what old man?” “The cider, Harley, the cider.”

That’s the other thing you can’t forget cider.

Apple cider. The sweetness of drinking it after getting out the lake, a towel placed across shoulders. It’s warm and sitting by the bonfire only makes it all so much better for Peter.

“Harls come here,” “sorry dad, the boyfriends calling.” Peter Harley kiss under the falling leaves for the first time, if Peter told the truth that would be his favourite thing about autumn.

Ideal Situations

Prompt: Teammates for @tonystarkbingo June Flash Bingo (🎡) and They Were Roommates for @stuckybingo June Flash Bingo (⏱️)

Summary: The aftermath of an alien fights means that Steve and Bucky have to share a hotel room.

A/N: I was really happy with this. I wanted to end it every time and then somehow I just continued which I’m really proud of myself for. I also just wanted to get something out for the @stuckybingo flash bingo before the month ended.

It truly wasn’t ideal. Since the last Alien attack, Stark Tower was currently in pieces, literally pieces of glass and concrete.

Sadly it wasn’t just stark towers that got hit it was the whole area. People forced to rebuild and hope their insurance would pay for somewhere they could live in the time being. Good thing Stark Industries doesn’t mind helping.

Which left them in this situation.

“Is anybody willing to share?”

Many of the hotels in the area have offered homes to those who need them for the time being, Stark Industries paying for the rooms. Leaving the Avengers to fight for room keys.

“Buck and I will share,” Steve smiled at his best friend Buck just hits him on the shoulder “we only did it for 20 years.”

“That’s settled then Steve and Buck will share a hotel room, Nat is staying with the Bartons, Rhodey and Sam will be with Pepper and me in Queens and Bruse has a room to himself.”

“Thanks, Tony,”

“No problem.”

Steve and Bucky liked sharing. They could sleep in the same bed and it would feel like home, like the olden days. Steve got to cuddle into Bucky feeling small again and Bucky knows why his room at the tower always feels cold.

They didn’t have to share a bed.

There were originally two single beds in the room which they then combined into one bed which they could both sleep on.

“Do you think Tony would care if we ordered room service?”

Bucky laughed at Steve’s worried face, arms moving to around his waist “Tony just wants what is best for us, I don’t think he’ll mind a few charges of room services.” Steve nods happily with the decision they’ve made.

Looking around Bucky finds the menu stretching away from Steve and across the bed to the small glass bedside table where he had left it last night.

“Breakfast?” He asks even though they know that the sun was up but it was still early enough where neither of them has wanted to get out of bed.

“Breakfast sounds great, I need an iced coffee so badly.”

“I knew you weren’t straight.” Bucky’s known since the 40’s but he still likes to make fun of Steve’s ‘Iced Americanos’.

“You know I feel like this is my doing,” Tony hadn’t expected to walk in and see 2 super soldiers kissing on the newly built kitchen bench.

Steve just looked confused, he stopped kissing his boyfriend to look at him only with a bewildered look on his face “what are you talking about? This isn’t anything new.”

Bucky just hops off the counter shrugging in Tony’s direction to which he decides to instead begin breakfast.

“Shut your mouth Tones, you’re going to catch flies.”

Tony can’t help but close his mouth it popping without him noticing. “How did you know!”

“Sam trains with them every morning, I’ve seen them kissing more than I’ve seen you and Pepper kiss.” Rhodey smiles, Sam on his arm. It’s nice to all be back as a working team again.

Tony stands star struck. Rhodey and Sam have a smile on each of their face Sam leaning into his boyfriend. Then Steve and Bucky just work, friends and partners, they just like the company (and Bucky is also a really good cook).

Stark industries are very welcoming, to everyone.
