I love that identity reveals between Jim Gordon and Bruce in fic almost always go the same way. Bruce goes "How did you know? Was it my acting?" and nine times out of ten Jim says something along the lines of "No, your acting was phenomenal. You gave yourself away by caring too much, Mr. Wayne."

Because the billionaire playboy cover was perfect and damn near airtight until one Bruce Wayne leapt in front of someone else during a holdup at a gala and "accidentally" got shot. No self-involved airhead with that much money riding on his life would ever -- ever -- let himself think of someone else in that moment.

truly nothing more eddie munson loves than just feeling the weight of you on him.

loves it at night, especially, before bed when you’ll hike your leg up, sling it over his waist. lying on your stomach, one leg kicked out in front of you, the other across him so he can rub your hip.

“helps me fall asleep.” you told him once, lashes fluttering closed.

his hand would rub up and down, over the swell of your hip, down your lower back and over your thigh. sometimes he’d get lazy- caught up in his tv show or starting to nod off himself. you’d wiggle, a sharp pop of your hip up, always followed by a whiny huff that had him grinning lazily.

“sorry, baby.” eddie muttered, pulling your leg closer over his torso, rubbing your hip again.

when you’d finally go to sleep, body slack and heavy over his, he’d feel you settle, start to pull away only for him to pull you closer. arm over his chest, snoring lightly in his ear. sometimes you’d roll, half your body slotted over his, and he’d have to fight the urge not to wrap his arms around you and pull you more into him. he knew you’d wake up, whine and wiggle away, batting his hands away sleepily and muttering you were “too hot” to cuddle. so he’d let his hand rest on you instead, feeling safe and content with the weight of you over him.

ok alphys was a character ahead of her time and too good for this damn fandom honestly. she isn't some evil gaslighting lying cringey manipulator who only exists as comic relief for the love of god look at her with eyes less poisoned by cynicism and irony. she is a love letter to... well, a lot of things. a love letter to "cringey" people, to video game fans, to people who try to drown their sadness in fiction. she's so achingly relatable to so many of us that it really feels like toby knows his demographic like the back of his hand. we've all met someone like alphys. maybe we are that someone- awkward, nerdy, can't get over their past mistakes, terrible at phone calls, far more eloquent online than in person, only wants to make people like them to distract them from the fact that they don't like themself. normally, this character archetype is the butt of a great deal of jokes- just a gross nerd who needs to touch grass. but alphys is different. she is, as i said, a love letter. she is one of the best-developed and most complex characters in the game. her nerdiness isn't "fixed" or mocked, it's celebrated. her unabashed love for her interests and her 100% attitude is a big reason why undyne loves her. games, especially in 2015 and before, are not often so genuinely kind to characters like alphys! and in deltarune, too- alphys is still a nerd, despite not being nearly as traumatized as her undertale counterpart. her rambling about shows she loves is a constant across all universes, a fundamental and important and good part of who she is.

and i just think that's very kind, and very important.

I love all the headcanons about the batkids reaching certain ages and realizing how insane it was that Bruce did (thing) at that age, but I ESPECIALLY love the image of a mid-forties Jason landing a little too hard after his last grappling line and realizing that, holy shit, Bruce’s knees must have been splintering at this point. AND he had a broken back??

Hot take: Bluey became such a massive hit because it's one of the few currently-running TV shows where parents and children are both treated as valuable people with rich inner lives.

After the death of the family sitcom, most shows are either: 1) aimed at children and show the parents as idiots who get in the way of the children's plans; 2) aimed at adults and show only childless single people; or (rarely) 3) family sitcoms where the parents and children are horrible people who hate their lives and yell a lot. So a show that portrays the children and the parents as people with interesting personalities who are doing their best and like spending time with each other filled a gap in the culture and people went crazy for it.

i think there should come a point when yor has had enough of yuri's nagging about loid and says something like "HE MAKES ME HAPPY YURI"

after which point yuri slowly and begrudgingly begins to see the value loid has brought to yor's life, and even if he is still snippy and overprotective, he begins to open up the slightest bit. eventually during a 1:1 conversation he admits to loid that he's only overly critical bc he can't bear the thought of someone hurting the person who gave up everything for him, etc etc

and THAT is when loid feels real guilt for the first time. we already know from passing thoughts that he plans to leave the forgers after the mission is over, and sometimes he has his reservations and moments of 'i'm a hypocrite', but this is when he's truly like shit. Shit. I finally won yuri over but it was better when he hated me because i do not deserve to have this kid telling me that i am worth his sister because i'm not. he was right, i am just gonna hurt her all over again.

just steep the man in guilt please thank you 🙏
