I'm really feeling softer Derek, lately. He doesn't take much value in people, but everyone has moods, everyone has desires. I myself am a hypersexual fucking weirdo, yet here I am fantasizing about the gentler things, like all people do.

That being said, imagine a morning where he doesn't want much. All he wants is to lay down a while before his chores, and jobs, and duties, and prepare for the day.

He was pent up last night and took it out on you and your body, and for one reason or another, he's providing aftercare- though you've yet to know. You woke up on his chest with an arm slinked around you and a cheek nestled onto your head, his other arm gripping his phone, hanging nearby. Your stirring alerted him to your waking- he hums to you, and you panic, beginning to squirm aimlessly, making him tighten his hold and whine.

"I'm not gonna do anything, knock it the fuck off!" He sat up a bit in his scolding, using his free hand to pin you against himself while trying to wrestle you still with his other wrist, still holding his phone tight. "Calm down! Okay? Just chill-out!"

Slowly, everything began to settle. Both of you slid back into a lay, your wiggling ceased, his grip loosened. He likes the way you ever-so-slightly shiver while learning how to calm down.

"See? You're fine. Don't ruin it..."

It really is just a cuddle. A rare moment you managed to wake up in time to see. You glance over at his phone-screen, it's just some weird social media filled with posts of the prestige, the kinds of posts only people exactly like them can see. Derek's scrolling fast, though, not really looking. It felt like gazing beyond the fence of someone who makes two or three figures more than you... And yet, he stops scrolling to view a meme post from a public page- one anyone can see. His chest bounced with a single huffed nostril-laugh before you were briefly shaken. "Here, look."

Was it funny? Not very. But he thought so. He also felt comfortable sharing the moment with you.

These are the moments you remember each time those fists meet your body. Unballed, they are the softest palms.

sometimes I come across media bashing rpf and I feel ashamed. then I remember that rpf is for the rich who are most likely out of touch with reality. and I remember why we have fandom etiquette. then I open ao3 and read the filthiest things and go to sleep happy idk.

Yeah rpf is one of those things where I completely understand a lot of the criticism about it; I also understand that there are some people that either cannot or choose to not engage with it 'correctly' -- meaning they're forming intense parasocial relationships, they're making the real life people aware of it, etc.

But so much of the media that bashes it doesn't actually understand rpf enjoyers' perspectives. I saw a tiktok the other day saying how insane it was that people 'actually think lando and oscar are together' and 'write fics about how they're really together'. It really reminded that some people seemingly can't understand the Barbie Doll element of it.

It's about the public personas and dynamics of these ultra rich men, not the literal men themselves, you know?

But god, yeah. Etiquette. Etiquette and keeping fandom to fandom spaces god please.
