But again, got inspired for that ask bcz of this here and imagined my self insert of just hugging Yamori like the character is hugging the cat-

I’m so sorry for taking so long with your requests and for just not making my stuff as long as usual so I tried to get back into the swing of things with this one. Assuming that y’all are just talking and working, he’d be somewhat miffed if you started avoiding him.

Even when the two of you are around each other, you don’t talk as much as you used to and you seem a bit intimidated.

He didn’t think that he’d get as upset as he is after a while but he is. Did he do something? Are you being blackmailed somehow? Did you come to your senses and realize how messed up what he does is and are going to find a way out before he can tell you that he- no. He’s not going to dwell on this. He’ll just have you come to his office.

You seemingly have scheduling conflicts because he can’t seem to find a day where you’re not out on orders or just not available.

It gets to a point where he decides to personally go and ask your peers what was going on.

Of course, there’s a little resistance from some but after a bit of talk, one of them finally tells him the reason you’ve been avoiding him.

When he learns of your feelings, the anger and annoyance is replaced with pride. You just unknowingly fed his ego.

He gets Naki to tell you that you’ve got to go with him for something important, what that was, you didn’t know. Naki takes you to a spare room and tells you to wait for him to come back.

After a while of waiting, the door opened. You turned, expecting to see Naki, but saw Yamori instead.

He smiled at you and put his hands in his pockets. He walked a bit closer before speaking.

“So, someone’s got a crush on their boss?”

The huge grin across his face thankfully gave away that he wasn’t mad.

After a bit of talking he lets you know that he’s realized how much he misses your company and how much he wants you to be around.

Expect to do most of your jobs with him from here on out.

i kinda have this headcanon that tatara has a website out there somewhere, one that isn't easy to find, dedicated to the documentation of ghoul genealogy in china and hong kong. it's purposefully made uneasy to find so it doesn't fall right into the CCG's lap. i think that he gets his knowledge through finding communities of chinese ghouls on encrypted websites and talking with the people on there. he's messaged with hundreds of people over the internet in trying to find information about ghoul bloodlines in china.

it's also really important to him because it's one of the only places in his life he still gets to use his knowledge of mandarin anymore. everyone in these communities writes in mandarin at pretty much all times and it's really a breath of fresh air for him, because i remember there being some side thing in tokyo ghoul about how written japanese gives him a headache. he has a rather old and used laptop that he uses for all of this. he's very much a no nonsense, no frivolousness type of person, so he doesn't care much about keeping up with the latest technology. the used laptop gets the job done and that's all that really matters to him.

i think that either on this website, or on another website that the genealogy documentation website links to, he has some stuff online dedicated to preserving the history of the chi she lian as well. he's the last remaining person who was apart of it and he feels immense grief over the extinction of it. he wants its existence to be known of even after he passes, no matter how near or far in the future that may be. i think that no one he knows personally really knows of the existence of these websites, but not necessarily because he's hiding it from them (he is pretty much surrounded by only ghouls after all). it's more so the fact that he's not often asked about personal activities or inner workings. i think if anyone were to know, it would be eto, because she does inquire about these things more than say ayato or hinami would, even if she doesn't do it frequently.

as for another online activity, one that requires far less encryption, i think tatara plays Go online. he prefers to play it in person but this is another thing that can only be entertained by eto. they play together sometimes but not very often at all. i think he plays online as a way to relax when he gets a short bit of time away from aogiri duties.

Hey, yeah you're right! Those Aogiri members have similar kagunes to two of the underground city trio - a thick blade, and the segmented kagune with eye-spots - they could absolutely be older relatives of the trio.

Alright, so, me reaching for theories time! Hinami might have a connection to the OG Dragon's underground city, through her dad. See, in the manga, Fueguchi Asaki has light hair - as do Ayato's "ducklings", the underground city descendants. And THIS kagune is familiar, isn't it?

Looks a lot like Hinami's rinkaku part:

Which she inherits from her father.

So, Hinami's dad might be from the underground city, and Hinami would therefore be at least distantly related to one of the underground trio.

Prompt: Bandaging/washing their lover’s wounds after a fight (Action Prompt #7)

By definition, your relationship with Kaneki Ken was forbidden. 

The infamous half-ghoul and the prodigy of Arima Kishou? That was almost as good as being a Montague and a Capulet. 

You got lost in thought as your lover hunted through your apartment for your first aid kit.

Would the CCG be the Capulets if this were indeed a Romeo and Juliet story? They were the ones who had more power, after all. They were able to walk around freely during the day, freely hunting down their prey while ghouls hid in fear for their lives.

A gentle caress on the back of your head made you jump and look up from your spot on the side of the bathtub.

Kaneki Ken stands illuminated by the bathroom light, but you swear you’ve never seen anything more handsome. The harsh luminescence makes his white hair almost transparent, and his dark gray eyes are overshadowed as he bends his head and sits beside you. 

“You found it?” You ask, and he nods, keeping quiet, and you don’t miss how he doesn’t say a word. 

He’s angry. That much is obvious. 

You don’t want to argue, don’t want to fight. So you wordlessly unbutton your white work shirt that’s coated in your own blood and shed it, tossing it in the bathroom sink. Then, you turn around so he can see how bad the damage is. While he doesn’t say a word, you hear the almost inaudible gasp that escapes him. 

And you know how bad it is.

The kagune of the Aogiri Tree ghoul had cut deeply into your shoulder blades and spine. It wasn’t lethal. You could still walk and everything. It had been a tough fight, with you getting the injuries protecting a small child that had almost been a midnight snack for the ghoul. He—or she, you couldn’t tell with the mask—had been an Ukaku type, with wings of reds and purples that you, frankly, found beautiful. 

It almost hurt you to kill them. 

But you had to remind yourself that all ghouls weren’t like Kaneki. They weren’t all like Anteiku. Some of them are simply man-eating monsters, people or not; that wasn’t something you could forgive that easily. 

The sting of antiseptic has you jolting from your memories, and you hiss in pain against your attempts to keep quiet. Ken murmurs a soft “sorry” but doesn’t stop cleaning the gunk and grime out of the gash. 

“You’ll need stitches.” He says in that quiet voice of his. You hum,

“I trust you.” You whisper, and he doesn’t respond. 

He’s been so silent after everything with Jason. But you still hear soft cries when he thinks you’re asleep. You still see the almost invisible shaking of his hands when there’s a loud, unexpected noise. 

You still see how broken he is because of it. 

But you also see how strong it made him. He loves fiercer, holds you just a few seconds longer every time he hugs you, every time he kisses you. 

The pain of the needle dipping in and out of your skin and muscles has you biting your knuckle to keep quiet. While your neighbors knew what you did for a living, that didn’t mean they had to know you were in agony. 

Ken, luckily, makes it quick. He ties off the thread and cuts it before leaning in to press a gentle kiss to the wound. His lips are soft, and when he leans his forehead between your shoulder blades, you can feel how worried he is. 

Because he almost lost you tonight. 

If your partner had been a few seconds slower or hadn’t gotten you away from the ghoul in time, you would have died. Would have left him alone.

“You don’t have to be so gentle.” You say and feel him shift, wrapping a strong arm around your waist and pulling you tenderly into his chest. 

“Yes, I do.” He says, and you hear his voice crack, “Someone has to be.”

And that breaks your heart. 

Because you know it’s true. 

Your hands are perpetually coated in red and covered in harsh calluses and blisters from handling your quinque. Your body is hard with muscle from endless fights. 

You aren’t gentle with yourself. You know it. Ken knows it. 

Abruptly, you realize he’s talking. 

“My bounty is as boundless as the sea, my love as deep; the more I give to thee, the more I have, for both are infinite.” He whispers, and you smile. Weren’t you just thinking about Romeo and Juliet? You lean your head back and turn it so you can kiss his hair.

“Is that a roundabout way of saying you love me?” You ask and feel him chuckle, feel the vibrations against your back.

“I suppose so.” Is all he says. But he doesn’t need to say more. 

Because you can tell he loves you.
