This bullshit is literally their pinned
They (by their own admission) don’t care
They just want to lie and lie and lie and play victim and lie
“You can’t be queer and a Zionist” oh I know SEVERAL PEOPLE WHO WOULD STRONGLY DISAGREE! Punks too!
Also nice lying about Israel’s existence, do you know where the word “Jew” comes from? Judea. What does that tell you about Jewish nativity? Exactly

I just need to rant about Youssef Haddad for a moment cause I’ve been thinking about this a lot and you said you accept random ramblings. Just to start off, I don’t agree with quite a bit of the stuff he says, but I also don’t want to dive into a judgment of his politics and the way he presents them or whatever. So onto the main point— I think the reason so many people hate Youssef so much is because he is very Arab and very Israeli. That’s kind of obvious, but I want to elaborate
Like, I think a lot of radical leftists, Hamasniks, anti-Israels, whatever you want to call them, think of Arab Israelis as just living in Israel, not seeing themselves as Israeli or as Israel being their home and country. This is just the place they’ve ended up in for whatever reasons. Which is an experience that definitely exists, and it’s completely fine, but it’s also not the experience of a lot of other Arabs in Israel. Youssef Haddad is so undeniably Israeli, like you can just tell that Israel is his county and that he’s proud of that. And that makes a lot of people very angry
It’s that cognitive dissonance, the fact that so many people have built their image of Arabs being completely incompatible with Israel. So they see an Arab man who is also Israeli, and it’s not out of convenience or anything like that, he just genuinely is Israeli, and they just can’t compartmentalise that information with the ideology they’ve already built. But they can’t change any of their views on Israel, no, that would make them an evil imperialist apartheid Jew loving Zionist apologist! So instead the only thing they can do is become fucking enraged
Youssef Haddad makes them so mad because he’s not a token to them. He’s an Arab man who isn’t ashamed of being Arab (ffs he’s not a ‘blood traitor’ for being Israeli, you sound like a white supremacist), but he’s useless to them. He’s worse than useless, he’s actively a problem to their one dimensional, Jew hating ideology that refuses to stop fetishising Arabs and Arab struggles. And that’s the thing about tokenisation— it only lasts as long as you’re useful. As soon as you don’t fit the cutout stereotype they’ve built for you to try to contort yourself into, they not only toss you away, but they hate you with vitriol. It’s why I genuinely can’t see any of these people actually caring about Arabs (and Palestinians especially). When the only reason you advocate for a group is so that you can fetishise and tokenise them, then maybe you’re not really advocating for them after all
As soon as you don’t fit the cutout stereotype they’ve built for you to try to contort yourself into, they not only toss you away, but they hate you with vitriol.
100% this. Its why people think that Drake can no longer call himself black or Taika Waititi Maori. Your ethnicity only matters if it can be weaponized
It’s why I genuinely can’t see any of these people actually caring about Arabs (and Palestinians especially). When the only reason you advocate for a group is so that you can fetishise and tokenise them, then maybe you’re not really advocating for them after all
Also 100% this.

Hi do you have any posts on the BDS movement? I think most don’t oppose it solely because it calls for a boycott of Israel, but because the org has unnecessarily called for boycotts found unjust and apparently doxxed Jewish people.. do you know anything about that?
I have a rant on them here, but not a lot else. But put simply, I think they are evil. they have doxed Jewish people, there was the whole map debacle, and they often used highly antisemitic rhetoric.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!
the art boycott is pissing me off. working to isolate Israel from the global art world is fucked (how are people supposed to be exposed to other opinions if you refuse to let them interact?), but the people that suffer the most from it are Palestinian. the worst tendency of it is that if a Palestinian artist want to preform before Palestinians within the green line, they face huge backlash, and often just cancel their shows. And I can tell you that arranging shows in Gaza in fucking hard due to both Hamas's religious fundamentalism and Israel and Egypt's sieges, and the West Bank is tough because of Israel's tight ass border control that is so fucking annoying that many artists don't have the ability to fight with! So they are helping to keep Palestinians culturally isolated!
AND this block Israelis from interacting with big name international Palestinian artists which is making my life harder when I am trying to expose Israelis to Palestinian culture in order to deradicalize them! Also, I have some Palestinian artists I would like to see and it suck that the BDS will give them such hell for that, that it might not be a possibility.
I understand the desire to vote with your money, to boycott, and I give zero fucks about it. your money, your choice. My problem is how violent it is, how it attacks everyone, how they spew hate and malice. I have no problems for the original core values of the BDS (ending the occupation in the west bank, having full equality for Arab-Israelis and following Resolution 194), even if I disagree with the phrasing of some. but over the years there have been calls for violence against Jews (shoot a Jew is one of the more blunt ones), death threats against people who wanted to go to Israel, doxing and working with SJP (Students for Justice in Palestine). SJP in a shit show by itself, and often tokenise and drown Palestinian voices so a bunch of white American colonizers could play their fantasies of being oppressed and getting to be violent.

Rotting log anon here. Look, there is a prevalent issue with racism in all jfashion, we cannot avoid systemic global oppression just cause we’re wearing fun little outfits. I understand the defensiveness, and that often unnecessary criticism is a product of societal systematic racism expressing itself interpersonally, but this critique was warranted.
Like some of the jirai girls are getting a little too catty for my liking on this confessional. I know my fucking dogwhistles, cut it out.
But, and I hate to legitimately say this, it’s annoying poisoned rhetoric, sometimes minorities are wrong on shit and it’s not bigotry to point it out. Can’t blame you for suspecting shit, some of yous are using it as an excuse to pile on, but my point still stands, she fucked up. Never once mentioned her country of origin either, wouldn’t matter to me, don’t go casting stones generally.
I’m not gonna list off random minorities who I think would do a better interview either because that’s tokenisation too. I understand the reflective instinct to protect people who are marginalised, but sometimes they fuck up. That’s fine, not calling for witch-hunting, just getting it off my chest, I’m allowed to be frustrated about it. I have laid out my frustrations many times before here, as is the intended purpose of this blog.
There is a way to do this fashion wrong, it is not purely subjective, especially when there are known rules. Many people didn’t like that and went on to do different things, like how Strega evolved from the mori folk on this very site. That’s fine, that’s actually fucking based! But fashion movements have rules and history that maintain their identities, if you want to do something beyond the scope of this fashion, go do it.
Additionally ita is a universal jfashion word. It just means pain, painfully cringe. We’re not pure because we like to be in the woods, mori folk have been catty and two faced for a long time.

okay i know breakup talk is over an i assume that also means gaylor talk, but i still wanted to get this thought off my chest. Feel free to not post it if you do not feel like it :) one think that fucks me up about a lot of gaylors is this idea of 'if you get it you get it' and 'if you don't see it maybe you are not supposed to see it'. and blah this is geared towards straight ppl ig, but it also creates a sort of tier list of queer fans, if that makes sense? like oooh if u are a gay fan but u don't think she is gay then maybe you are not getting the hints :/// but WHY. am i not gay enough? is she only dropping ''''hints'''' understandable to rich white americans? it's very weird behavior to me and paints the queer community as this sort of monolith of opinions and experiences when that is not true. and oftentimes it also gets followed up with 'maybe u just need to hang out with more gay ppl' ????? not every gay person thinks taylor swift is gay (FAR from it, actually) so maybe that's just. you and your friends
no, exactly! that's why i say that larry, gaylor, and all these conspiracy theories are more like internet cults than anything else. there's no one leader exploiting people (as far as i know) but a bunch of smaller niche ones with tumblr blogs, big twitter accounts, or charisma for tiktok and the victims of the cult themselves indoctrinate each other the same way a single cult leader would.
for them there's only one Truth and they're the chosen people to receive it, everything else is wrong, fake, or made specifically to trick the members of the cult and make them doubt of their Truth. they can only trust the information that comes from other people who believe in this Truth and nothing else. this is the first step, indoctrination.
no critical thinking, second opinions, of even a shadow of doubt are ever allowed; if you have any of those it means you no longer believe in the Truth and thus you're no longer welcome in the community, and you're not allowed to be part of communities that don't believe in the Truth or you'll be a traitor so if you don't blindly follow and believe you'll be completely ostracised. this is the second step, isolation.
and any outsider criticism is immediately flagged as homophobia even if it comes from actual queer people because the target for this cult is young queer people in vulnerable states than can be easily indoctrinated into seeing the Truth and then can be used as shields when criticism arise, nevertheless most of the leaders of the cult are straight, white women either fetishising lesbians or tokenising us. this is an illusion of solidarity for the victims of the cult, they are made to believe it's all to protect them and protect gayness itself when it's only used as a tool.
i could go on forever on this topic and how actually scary and insidious it is beyond just being plain harmful for the people involved and taylor herself; but shit talk about gaylor is always allowed and welcome on this blog because if there's something i'm not gonna allow is middle class white women using my sexuality as a weapon and a shield for their ridiculousness.

In the middle of a presentation to the entire company via Zoom this afternoon, I glanced down and caught sight of this! 🤣🤣🤣

Of course being the talented lass I am, I snapped a pic and continued on…network tokenisation has never seemed so amusing!
I finally followed up with the vet today…it’s her day off, so no news.
I’m tired.
I’m so worried that I won’t deliver my priorities for the quarter, I’m worried that I haven’t learnt enough in the past 4 months to be able to deliver, I’m worried that there’s still validation that I need to do to support what I’m proposing, In short….nothing will be perfect!! I have a constant knot in my stomach and a full night sleep is a distant memory. And there’s no end in sight yet.
I have a vague dream of a time in a few years when the financial drive has lessened, that I’ll take a role in an organisation that makes a difference. I’ve committed to three years at the current hive. I’ve a fuckload to learn and I’m being patient! Meaning in work for the time being is something I’m happy to compromise on for the sake of ….well ….money and experience! There, it’s in writing!! It’s not like they are doing anything morally or legally wrong, it’s an interesting industry, payments. But one day will be something that I really give a fuck about and I’ll be happy to do it for a lot less than I’m being paid now.
I wonder if I’ll know when enough is enough? What if it’s never enough? Gawd what if I’m really at heart a money-grabbing, capitalist piggy!!

For real, me, a queer trans man, used to be in a really toxic group of girls and they would constantly be asking questions about everything LGBTQ+. (This was in a Catholic High school btw)
It started to really piss me off one time when they were interrupting my work to ask pretty complicated questions. So I flat out told them it wasn’t my job to educate them and that they could fucking google it. They were furious at this and said their parents would see their search history - just use an incognito search dumbass.
All this to illustrate the fact that privileged groups often tokenise and rely on members of subordinate groups to educate them.
Not all marginalised people want to educate you. If they do, that should be on their own terms, not whenever you want. Privileged groups feel entitled to the time and energy it takes to educate, which is so deeply fucked.
There is an assumption that people of minority groups need to represent that entire group, that their role is to educate the privileged group.
People should just be allowed to exist differently without the pressure of representing an entire community and educating people.
- I choose to be an activist, but I shouldn’t have to be doing that all the time. We deserve to just exist, but sadly in our society that is somehow a privilege not a right.
Queer 👏 people 👏 are 👏 not 👏 all 👏 fucking 👏 activists 👏
Stop quizzing us on queer history and asking us questions we aren’t qualified to answer about the world and about politics and about our identities
Stop trying to back us into a corner so you can justify your discrimination on the basis that we don’t know what we’re talking about or can’t “defend” ourselves to you
Stop treating every queer person that stands up and says “I want to be treated like a person” as if they’re an activist
Cut that bullshit out
Marginalised people just want to exist and be happy
I don’t know everything, and that doesn’t make me undeserving of your respect or my human rights you fucker
I don’t even owe you the stuff I do know- I still am entitled to basic fucking respect
TLDR; Queer people shouldn’t have to be historians or scientists for you to not be a fucking dick

rose tico is such a difficult character to talk about bc firstly wow a southeast asian woman in the biggest movie franchise ever! secondly kelly marie tran was racially abused to the point of being driven off the internet before tlj even came out for having the audacity to be a southeast asian woman in the biggest movie franchise ever while disney did nothing to protect her and it’s fucked up that john boyega and domnhall gleeson i think were the only cast members to speak up about that??? thirdly rian johnson gave her such a stupid condescending and kinda sexist story arc that i couldn’t even enjoy seeing her in the movie despite how happy i was to see someone like her (like me) involved. fourth, disney then cut her screen time in tros to like 80 seconds total as if to reward/comply with all the racists who abused her online, as if to apologise to them. fifth, 90% the rightful backlash of sidelining an asian woman character became not about defending kelly marie tran, but about riding rian johnson’s dick as if he was oh so great and magnanimous for allowing her 13 minutes of inconsequential screentime, as if he personally decided that there should finally be an asian woman supporting character in star wars (a story that was originally copied from hidden fortress 1958, which an asian woman LEADS) as if people of colour aren’t tokenised and focus-grouped and run through a million algorithms before having the right to exist in major hollywood franchises.. anyways someone outside of disney pls give kelly marie tran a job in something GOOD

honestly baffled that an antifascist network is citing human rights watch and the bbc as credible sources on the prc. certainly i think there needs to be some nuance in this topic, it's not like the prc is a paradise without flaws and i think it's perfectly likely that the uighurs face discrimination and whatnot, but the claims of genocide do seem to be mostly unsubstantiated and overstated. as the other anon briefly mentioned, most of the actual supposed material evidence does come back to studies performed by adrian zenz, who is a german christianist who believes it's his god-given mission to destroy socialism and the prc. on the topic of eyewitness accounts it's not like i think they should just be flat out dismissed, but without actual material evidence to corroborate those accounts their validity has to be questioned. we know from experience that american-aligned media routinely uses false eyewitness accounts of supposed attrocities to justify imperialism against other countries, this has been the case with cuba, iraq, venezuela, north korea, vietnam, etc. our analysis has to be based in material conditions, otherwise organisations such as hrw will surely hijack and exploit our morality for their own ends. if you look at the board members of organisations such as hrw, you'll find that the vast majority of them are high-ranking american businessmen, financiers and bankers, lawyers, and the like, with only a handful of tokenised actual third world human rights activist board members. i really think there is a need for some more critical thinking here. if there were millions of uighurs in concentration camps, there would be evidence of it.
On your side: No citations. No evidence. Just baseless, genocide apologist, tankie bullshit. On our side: The BBC Amnesty International Human Rights Watch The United Nations The New York Times NPR The UN The New Lines Institute Dr. Sean R. Roberts The Guardian Al Jazeera PBS The Washington Post CNN Evidence of 1-2 million Uyghurs in Chinese concentration camps. More evidence. More evidence. Now fuck off, Anon.

I will never forget. I saw the chemistry in episode three straightaway. I actually paused and rewound Ed staring down at Stede with his arm resting on the OTHER SIDE OF HIS UNCONSCIOUS BODY several times. I made inarticulate noises of shock and gestured to the screen as if imploring someone else in the room to see what I was seeing despite the fact I was by myself in my loungeroom.
I immediately imagined Ed and Stede would make a great couple but I never thought for a second the show would go there. Because middle aged main characters in male dominated swashbuckling historical comedy shows absolutely do not fall in love under any circumstances. I'm not stupid. They want to pander to an audience and my queer ass is never the audience a network wants.
So as always I expected Ed and Stede were an Odd Couple/best friends/bromance situation (ie: Subtextually homoerotic and canonically straight until proven otherwise).
"But ShiplessOceans! Didn't you realise in episode 5 during the full moon scene that it was gonna happen?"
I wish I could say I did. But no.
I did not.
Because I LEGITIMATELY thought they were playing it for laughs.
I saw Ed and Stede have that over the top doe-eyed romantic moment, averted kiss and all and I quickly extinguished the little spark of hope in me, thinking: "Ah... We're meant to be like, hahaha wouldn't it be funny if they were! They're not though. They're just REALLY good friends you guys."
Like... Call me nuts but I am 36 years old and I have seen some shit my friends. This averted kiss moment being played for laughs would not be the first time that has happened in a show or movie. If you want a post listing examples I will provide it.
"Alright. So when did you realise it was gay for real?"
Episode 8.
Yep. The moment Calico Jack asked Stede if he and Ed were buggering each other I was like...waaaaait a minute!
OH. THIS SHOW AND THE WORLD IT CONTAINS ACKNOWLEDGES QUEERNESS.
And not just queerness for the side characters to tick the representation boxes, but for the leads. Blackbeard had been in a relationship with Jack. They had confirmed Blackbeard was queer.
"So that's when you knew Ed and Stede were gonna be a couple."
...
"...right?"
... Um....
"Seriously?! You still didn't know?"
Yeah, look. This is why the kiss actually knocked me on my ass.
My head was swimming with the boot touch at the end of episode 8 but I still couldn't let myself believe it. It couldn't be real because it had never happened before! No show had ever done this! And if it was real... I mean holy shit. The world and how I understood it was about to change. Surely not.
I was basically Dean in a Supernatural meme:
Castiel: "Good things do happen Dean."
Dean: "Not in my experience."
When I realised it was real, was in episode 9.
Because Ed said: "What makes Ed happy... Is.."
And I squeezed the shit out of the emotional support cushion I was gripping onto while watching and said "You!"
And then Ed repeated me.
And I stopped breathing.
The next few seconds may as well have been an hour. Stede's slow smile... How pleased he looked. I watched with my jaw on the floor as he fumbled for a response...
And then Ed went for it.
He kissed Stede and I..
I am not ashamed to say I yelled. Like I screamed.
Loud enough that I scared myself and then grabbed the remote and hit pause and shoved the pillow into my face and proceeded to freak the fuck out.
It was real. I'm not dreaming. This whole show. This whole season. This funny little pirate project I started watching cause the trailer looked cool and I like the actors in it had been a romance the ENTIRE TIME.
And a romance exactly like one I thought I would never see.
When I was younger reading fanfic and watching shows and movies play the gay character off a a tragic figure or something to be mocked or tokenised I used to imagine that one day there would be stories out there that I related to and fucking finally there was one on the screen in front of me right now.
And I just had to hit play and it would be waiting for me. And I could watch it again and again and again and...
I would never want for anything again omg.
Some big validating artistic voice out in that culture shaping tv world had finally made a story for me.
To say my world and my understanding of it changed that day would be an understatement. Those two middle aged men making out on screen saved a deeply ashamed part of myself yearning for hope and I don't think I can ever thank them for what they gave me.
Do you remember how fucking groundbreaking was seeing with your eyeballs Edward Teach and Stede Bonnet kissing for the first time on screen during the first season?

actually, while i’m feeling salty -
Actual Problems With Cassandra Clare’s “Rep” That I, An Autistic Lesbian Demigirl Noticed:
- the big one: there is like, no wlw/sapphic rep at all. sure, there’s aline/helen, but they barely exist. you could gather up all scenes they appear in together and it would maybe fill a singular chapter. compared to the mlm rep of malec, kieran/mark, and like, 100% future kit/ty and what little of the baby crush from kit we’ve seen in TDA, there may as well be no wlw rep at all. cc does not care about sapphics.
- the other big one: i say she doesn’t care about sapphics because it’s clear she doesn’t find them sexy like she does mlm. listen. i love malec. i love kit and ty and i loved their baby’s first gay crush dynamic on kit’s part. but there’s literally no denying or avoiding the fact that every lgbt ship cc has put out has either been “tokenised” (helen/aline) or is just outright fetishisation (every single one of her mlm ships)
- leading off of the mlm one: remember tmi? malec barely existed. it was a total background ship and for quite a while there alec was a terrible caricature of a gay character. it wasn’t until much later on that they started getting focus (their own short stories; recently, their own trilogy). you know, much later, once cc realised they were marketable and could make more money off of them.
- she’s an incest fetishist. she wrote incest fanfic and she wrote incest into tmi and for all you cry “jace/clary wasn’t incest!” she spent a whole book writing them wanting to be together still before the twist was revealed and let’s be real: that whole plotline did literally nothing. there was nothing to it but an incest fetish. and like. everything she wrote about sebastian and clary. she didn’t have to throw him having a weird incest boner in there for her, or the times where he actually made unwanted moves on her. he was evil enough without the incest. cc just thought it was hot.
- her consistent sexualisation of her underage characters. again, as cute as i found kit and ty’s dynamic, there was a certain blaring THIS IS WEIRD in the back of my mind as i read TDA. sure, they weren’t as blatantly sexualised as, say, jace and clary or emma and julian, but there was a certain uhhhhhh level of fetishisation to the way she was writing these fifteen year olds.
- this isn’t a “big one” but it’s one of the ones that bother me personally: her autistic representation. ty’s writing as an autistic character isn’t bad, per se - i know autistic fans who relate to him a lot - but it is fairly typical of what most media use for autism, the kind of autism most people see in fiction that has them going “but you can’t be autistic, you’re normal” to me when i don’t act like some logical detached semi-child since that’s what has been ingrained in them to expect. ty isn’t exactly infantilised, and it is nice that he’s probably going to be a part of a romance in TWP, since romantic autistic rep is even rarer than autistic rep, but i just. something about him gets under my skin, personally. i’m tired of seeing neurotypical/non-autistic fans make posts about how ty is good autistic rep and helps them understand autistic people much better, when ty is in fact very typical autistic rep written by a non-autistic woman. autistic fans who relate to ty, you’re super valid, i support the heck out of you hell yeah, rock on. to everyone who isn’t autistic...shut up. just shut the fuck up.
- the other other big one: she’s kinda racist, lbr. like, every poc in her books is mixed, and iirc, they’re generally like, half white, not another minority. i’m white, so i won’t speak much on this, but it’s kind of telling.
- the REALLY big one: islamphobia?? hello?? i’m not muslim, so again, i can’t speak here, but - literally none of what cc writes about it is how it works in reality? it’s fucking terrible? she’s fucking terrible?
and that last one there is what really rankles me about her. if she’d done research, she should have known better. if she’d had quality/representation checkers go through her work, they should have caught it. but no one did. and she doesn’t care. she’s never cared. stop praising her for her rep. she doesn’t care. if she cared, she’d care enough to do the rep right. she’d do her fucking research and hire quality checkers from the minorities she writes about.
i love tsc and i love the characters but cassandra clare is a trash human being. learn that. acknowledge it. embrace it.

“we were going to kill a tokenised black character off for shock value but that’s bad for PR at the moment so we’re going to delay the release so we can kill them later”
nah, fuck that. little do they know that this won’t just ‘blow over’. we’re not going to give them the breathing space for that even in a few months’ time.
you do not actively remove characters of colour’s presence in the story to prioritise the singular white character’s profit and then fridge a black character and think the only problem with that is the timing’s inconvenient

Anyone else get one of these awful pamphlets stuffed in their letterbox on the first day of lockdown?
In 25 short pages they manage to claim christians invented:
Hospitals (Cause nobody pre christian got sick)
Charity (Cause its god that makes people give to the poor despite him not existing for thousands of years of human history)
Pasteurisation (No really they claim scientists believed a caricature of intelligent design about bugs spontaneously developing from nothing but Pasteur scienced it out using his faith in god only to suggest intelligent design later in the fucking booklet)
Rules for Humane Warfare (By a Maori christian fighting the invading colonial christians forcibly converting everyone. Funny how the white invading force believed in the same god but didn’t have the same rules)
Human Rights (All given by god apparently)
Tacit implications that it was christians that brought us universal healthcare in NZ even tho it was actually hard fought for by the labour movement and unions. National tries to take credit for signing the paperwork but they only did so because it was better for their business interests to cover worker’s injuries instead of being sued every time something happened and have been trying to kill ACC and public health ever since.
Several times the booklet proudly states the commemoration of the 200th anniversary of christianity reaching NZ shores and the beginning of a ‘hope-filled’ bicultural partnership with Maori. Except for all the forced conversion and wars and stuff. Also its their quotation marks on hope-filled so who knows what they mean by that.
To top it all off the book is full of tokenised disabled people as tho their prayers are helping us in any way even when their prosylitising was literally breaking everyone’s bubble by distributing these pamphlets door to door putting chronically ill people at risk.

Have you heard of Invictus Capital? Their story is pretty wild
Way back in 2017 Invictus Capital released what I believe was the very first tokenised crypto index fund in the form of Crypto20. They seemed very slick, professional & expanded quickly, launching a number of other funds before eventually becoming the first fully regulated crypto index fund in 2021. So far, so good - but it all came apart earlier this year. Funds which held any sort of cash or stablecoin position were held in Anchor, allowing them to skim off the top. When it started to collapse, management did nothing, stating they believed it would regain its peg, despite the community desperately wanting out. When it didn’t, they lost huge amounts of money (both their own and investors) and were plunged into administration - all withdrawals were suspended and the funds completely frozen… and it was only at this point that it emerged not only had they put as much cash as possible onto Anchor, they were also putting almost all the crypto into Celsius. Fuck. One thing they did right at least was to hire real big guns to help with administration: Alvarez & Marsal. These guys work with some or the largest companies in the world, even dealing with the biggest insolvency ever with the Lehman Brothers. These guys know what they’re doing, and to be honest, you probably couldn’t pick a better company to try to steady the ship. So anyway, it turns out that A&M parked the remaining crypto funds in FTX. submitted by /u/blizeH [link] [comments] http://dlvr.it/ScbBNn

The way ppl tokenise creators with marginalised identities in the mcyt fandom is so fucking weird. It goes so far that people will speculate on gender and sexual identities of their favourite white boy streamer just so they can feel better about stanning a white boy. Like it should not matter and tokenising natural diversity as something new and progressive is just so fucking gross to me. POC exist, Queer ppl exist, Disabled ppl exist why are we praising real people like they're "rep" and it's uncomfortable n frankly it comes off as bigoted.

i saw someone earlier take a jab at something, someone was making a joke of their “retard community”.. in all irony. people got pissed. they later said it was a joke, to exemplify how idiotic it is that people call themselves words like “queer”... but are you all really this ignorant and clueless? it is clear you all not only do not seem to get what reclamation really is, or rather, you misconstruct it on purpose. but this is clearly so dismissive and harmful towards nd/disabled activists. because a lot of our words are medical, or they’re slurs, and guess what? one of the biggest communities around disabled activism on this site is literally called CRIPPLE punk. and it’s like, you all love to just drive straight over disabled/nd activists, ignore the history and activism, and make really erasing jokes like these. because you all don’t seem to care to bring up neurodivergency or disability, before it’s convenient. hence why ableism so often is only a talking point... and i just feel like, you all are really dismissive and ignorant with nd/disabled activism?? and i would prefer it if you all stayed away, didn’t tokenise, instead of bringing us up every now and then performatively. the nd/disabled activist movement is so hugely ignored, and people seem to almost purposely downplay the reality of medical abuse and ableism, and you all just love to call others deaf or blind as insults, or dumb or stupid... but then absolutely freak out at the idea of identity labels or reclamation, as if this isn’t our fucking history! so actually, fuck off! if people wanted to do the retard community... maybe you should show some compassion, and ask how it’s so bad for a community to want to defang a word that has been used against us our entire life? i feel a lot of pain around the word, so i would be really happy if it didn’t get used insultingly, and the same goes for stupid and dumb. -signed, an autistic, physically disabled, mute, who’s tired of you all performatively bringing me up.
