There's this big sale onto the shop tonight, and I thought going----.(Looks back at her husband who realeased a teasing smile as he watched her.)..What the heck are you looking at, right now?

Neji(Smirks as he leaned over the couch, more comfortable. He liked what he saw through his wife red chinese traditional dress through the left leg, whose area looked a bit too exposed.): I was just wondering why that leg of yours looks pretty lonely, here through that dress of yours?

(Dirty thoughts were going through his mind as Tenten chuckled, snortly.)

Tenten: Pervert..

Neji(Looks all innocent): Hey, I'm just stating it!

Tenten: You're just saying saying that I'm sexy, huh?

Until that unexpected thing had happened..

Tojiro, the green bird: Sexy! Tenten is sexy!

Which had made the girl drop her jaw with astonishement as she looked back at her husband whose smile hadn't faded away. Heck. Her husband has been saying bad words to the bird!

Tenten: Neji! (All red here.)

Neji(Rose up his hands up at the air, to proclaim his innocence with defeat while, he still smiled like a idiot.): What? Birds never lie!

Tenten: How really? How about a kiss?(Coming near him and snuggled through his legs which made his erection jump for a second as she was leaning and dangerously close upon and onto him.)

But it didn't made him flinch, since he kept onto smirking at the scene. How lucky, he was right here and now. Especially when she started to unbutton his shirt.

Neji: Wouldn't refuse it, anyways..(He brought her even closer with his arm..)

Which had earned him a kiss..

Ojiro kept his balance as he hopped down the mountain with ease, his strong tail helping him maneuver through the rocky terrain. He could feel Kari clinging tightly to him, and he couldn’t help but glance over his shoulder every now and then to check on her as he got on his radio. “Tailman here, found her, coming back.”

"You don’t have to apologize, Kari," Ojiro reassured her, his voice calm and steady. "None of this is your fault. You’re tough, and you did what you had to do to stay safe. We’re just glad we found you." He leaped down another ledge, his feet landing smoothly on the next flat surface before he picked up speed again.

He could sense her mind was racing, though she remained quiet for a long time. Ojiro didn’t want to pressure her into talking, but when she finally spoke, her words were filled with worry and uncertainty. The mention of Hawks—“Papa Bird”—made Ojiro's heart sink a little. He knew how much Kari looked up to him and how hard it was for her to not know if he was okay.

"He’ll be fine," Ojiro said firmly, his voice full of quiet confidence. "Hawks knows what he’s doing. He’s one of the smartest and fastest heroes out there, and he’d never leave you behind." His tone was reassuring, even though deep down, Ojiro was just as anxious about Hawks as Kari was. But he couldn’t show that. He had to be strong for her, especially now. He gave a small smile, even if she couldn’t see it, and continued making his way down the mountain.

"Just hang on tight, okay? You’re almost home."

Kari gave a small nod and moved to climb onto Ojiro's back. She clung to him and sniffled. "I-I'm sorry for worrying everyone." She chirped softly, looking ahead with a small frown.

When Ojiro began running Kari looked around, keeping an eye on the surroundings. She thought about everything that happened, everything she learned. All for One, she was related to him. A man who was considered the worst villain out there. A man who only caused pain. Her quirk was a mutation of his too so it was hard to fully excuse any allegations. This man planned to use Kari as some tool so there was nothing All for One found sacred or cared about. Then again, did All for One even know they're related. Maybe, maybe not. Though, maybe it could all have been some weird dream from being controlled by Maica.

Yeah, that's it. Just some weird dream, no need to dwell on it. Just forget about it. But she couldn't. The child's mind raced around with this information, trying to make sense of it, and it didn't help that the palms of her hands felt weird. Kari looked at the palm of her left hand and blinked. Nothing was there so she let out a sigh and let it be, going back to cling to Ojiro. The child soon winced as the sunlight hit her eyes and immediately Kari looked to the sky, hoping to see Hawks flying around, desperately wanting to know he was ok. She wanted to call out to Hawks so he could hear she was ok if he was out there. But she remembered the hero said to lay low and to stay safe. So, despite every bone in her body wanting to call out to him, she didn't. She kept her eyes to the sky as Ojiro ran back to meet with the others who were searching for her.

Eventually Kari broke the long silence. "He... Papa Bird will be ok, right? He'll be back soon, right?" She asked with a small sniffle, trying not to break down and trying to keep her voice soft.

well this chapter was pretty straight forward so i don’t have as much to say this week as i did last week!

iori continues to make a home for herself in my heart, which i know is going to be thoroughly used against us once we hit the third act of this arc. at this point, i’m truly not confident enough to say exactly what i think will happen, except that she and samura will likely meet and that will impact her final decision in some way.

i really really am enjoying hokazono using every parallel he’s created between chihiro and iori in their conversations. not only is it engendering a potential friendship between them, but shows the two of them what they never had, and can’t ever have. they’re two children whose lives were upended by their fathers’ legacy, each a window into the other’s life and what they lost. i haven’t stopped thinking about chihiro’s placid, wistful face when he said her life sounded peaceful. it’s just… man. it can be easy to take chihiro as being one-note because he is pretty dry in his expressions, but his heart is not as calloused as he thinks it is. he’s so young, man…….

RIP tojiro, we hardly knew ya. i wish we got to know him a tiny bit more, but i also don’t mind characters that pad out the world a bit to make it feel as vast as it is. i just hope the hotel is insured.

i’m a big fan of hiruhiko/hirohiko’s (still don’t know what his name is officially bc it keeps changing) current arc paralleling chihiro’s. like we’ve seen with iori, hokazono has a real talent for narrative foils. both boys want to improve as swordsmen to better wield their enchanted blades, but naturally have arrived at very different conclusions to do so. chihiro, despite being a killer, does not regard it as a simple fact of himself the way hirohiko does.

i’m a big fan of hiruhiko/hirohiko’s (still don’t know what his name is officially bc it keeps changing) current arc paralleling chihiro’s. like we’ve seen with iori, hokazono has a real talent for narrative foils. both boys want to improve as swordsmen to better wield their enchanted blades, but naturally have arrived at very different conclusions to do so. chihiro, despite being a killer, does not regard it as a simple fact of himself the way hirohiko does. i have more to say on that matter for another time, but their conflict really resembles yuji x mahito (and that’s saying nothing about the visual resemblance hirohiko has to mahito). i say this as a compliment because i think mahito was gege akutami’s best villain in that entire series, so i really look forward to watching chihiro and hirohiko’s relationship as adversaries mature.

since he has now actually appeared in a speaking role in the story and his name has been revealed, Tojiro gets to have his banner up on the website's Dramatis Personae. he might be the character with the greatest amount of pages between showing up as a nameless stranger and revealing himself (longer than Astor even!) with 114.

so much time passed between his initial conception (before i had figured out how to construct faces the way i do now) and his appearance in Second Verse that he looks like a whole new guy!

his first outfit is a variant of the one that his fellow countryman Denjiro is wearing, a westernized military coat with a japanese style overcoat (sorry for the tiny image below)

Tojiro however, is wearing the overcoat inside-out, with the white side facing the world. he's also wearing it folded in reverse, marking himself as a dead man walking. the overcoat is also quite damaged from his time wandering the desert on his own.

his second "outfit" is more or less a dressed-down version of his first one. his pants open into big flared pant legs! wow! he's also let his hair down, implications yet to be determined. he was always going to have long hair since otherwise his ponytail wouldnt have worked. if you look really close you can even see the silly little tan he got from being walked around in the blazing sun by Zayide.

since Alessandra ripped his binding bandages apart in the finale of First Verse and no better opportunity has presented itself, he's just letting them hang (dont bind with bandages, it'll fuck up your ribs and inhibit your breathing, jsyk next time you get possessed) - he's kind of playing foil to Astor in terms of his gender presentation in Second Verse. if i had infinite time and infinite pages to spend on this, this would have been more explicit.

hirohiko’s philosophy as the second wielder of kumeyuri is so interesting in contrast with the uruha’s attitudes and approach towards the blade.

he had respect for katana in general, but uruha also had a great respect for kunishige’s craft and the kumeyuri, whereas hirohiko has neither the training nor veneration. to him, it’s like a new toy to put him on equal footing with chihiro, unbound by trivial rules of engagement.

i wonder how that will change later on. fun stuff.
