Hi hi, pretend this is an anon I guess ?👌🤝 saw this pic in an antique camera catalogue, immediately thought “Rosie taking that photo of Alastor and Vox” Your blog seems like the appropriate place to send it, so it is now yours! 🎉🎉 (I included the cover and cropped versions in case you felt like splicing them together for a taller textless version etc. idk) Enjoy…?
Tumblr media

(got this as a dm)
Tumblr media
honestly, I could see it. but the only thing I can think about with rosie walking into this mess with her unrivaled gaydar is knowing exactly what is going on (vox crushing on a guy that will never like him back) and choosing not to say anything about it and that's so fucking funny to me. and idk if that makes her a troll or what and she actually thinks their mutual oblivion is hilarious (I MEAN IT SEEMS SHE HASN'T EXPLAINED AROACENESS TO ALASTOR SO?????????D?S???SDG???) or if she just thought. she shouldn't say anything cause. idk.

Okay so the other day, I stumbled across a post asking why Sora forgave Riku for everything he did in KH1. And of course my Soriku brain went "It's because he loves him, duh," but I realized that something a lot of us Soriku Endgame Actually believers discuss quite a bit... might not be common knowledge. And so I got to thinking.
Sora doesn't really know when Riku got possessed in KH1.
Sora didn't see Riku get possessed. And Riku had been acting weird ever since the night of the storm. So it's reasonable to assume that Riku had been possessed before they even left the islands.
...Right?
Everything that Riku did after the islands got destroyed?
Sora thinks that was Ansem. That it was always Ansem.
We, as the players, know it wasn't, but Sora doesn't know what we know.
He doesn't realize that everything before their final confrontation was Riku. And yeah, Riku wasn't in the most mentally stable position, and Maleficent was gaslight-gatekeep-girlbossing him, but he still had control over his body. Everything he said were his own words and feelings.
And this is made even more clear by CoM, right after SDG (and Jiminy) first meet Repliku.
Tumblr media
But... it's not. In the few scenes where Ansem was possessing Riku, he had the double-voice, and he spoke like Ansem, not like Riku. Repliku's behavior is much more like Riku's than Ansem's; he's cocky and volatile, while Ansem-Riku had an air of "untouchability" that would've made Repliku absolutely insufferable as a character.
It's clear that Sora thinks Riku was not in control during KH1. That's why Sora forgives Riku; because he thinks his friend was just another pawn in Xehanort's 5D chess game and had no autonomy throughout KH1. But that's not true. And they're going to have to talk about this.
Sora believed Riku did nothing wrong. Riku believes he did everything wrong. Sora's been trying to ignore the way Riku's words had hurt him - by deflecting the blame from his friend, by not dwelling on the events of KH1.
But with KH4 upcoming - with its focus on Sora and Riku stuck in a fictional world together, and the likelihood that Sora will have to learn to work through his darkness - Sora and Riku will have to discuss this.
And maybe, Sora and Riku will be able to have a true heart-to-heart conversation: no secrets, no lies, no misunderstandings. A KH2 Dark Margin 2.0.
And maybe they'll admit that there is a little bit of homo between them.

my problem with some desperate glory was that I loved all the stuff it was doing quietly, but once it started talking about stuff openly I started rolling my eyes. maybe this is a me problem, but for a book whose politics I agree with, I was getting very tired of "look at this queer-normative universe!" "look the Black girl is underestimated by the white men in charge" stuff. but the creeping horror of the forced pregnancy stuff? the genocide bits? all excellent. so I'm feeling really conflicted on it tbh
you 🤝 me not wanting to be spoon-fed Themes
I think there's a broader discussion to be had here, which is: when you want to write Politically Aware Genre Fiction, sometimes you have to really hit the reader in the face with it, because many readers are primed to ignore Issues if they are subtextual. see also that NK Jemisin thread about "blatant" vs "subtle" approach to discrimination in scifi. I think she makes very valid points! I also think that some of her books personally are not to my taste, because I got the message the first twelve times and then I got bored.
SDC does some of that, repeating so, so many times that there are no high-ranking female officers on Gaea and the population is 95% White. (Exordia, which I'm reading rn, also does that re: US military war crimes, and I'm getting tired of it already 200 pages in). I didn't find the Themes of it all to be THAT grating in SDG but, to me, the main issue is that, by the very nature of the worldbuilding... there just aren't many complex female characters, barring the POV character who's very much A Teenager in a way that makes the story feel very coming of age, and idk. I was not expecting a novel about a bunch of young adults coming together to save their society (in a way that was ultimately maybe a bit anticlimactic) although I really enjoyed all that came beforehand. I think I would have liked the book more if it had ended at like 80% and there had been a time skip sequel, or a different ending sequence.
Also: weirdly enough for as much as I'm bitching and moaning that I wanted more morally grey women, my favourite character was probably Avi. I think that if his Corporal Lin had more space I would have been ALL OVER her.

hey, guys! do you know about the United Nations 17 Goals for Sustainable Development?
until recently, I did not know they existed, and I don't really see anyone talking about them.
I know a lot of us want to contribute and make a difference in the world or in our communities, but it's hard to figure out what to do. I think these goals can help us decide what to focus on and how to begin.
We may not be in positions to make changes by ourselves, but we can stay informed about the issues we care about, and learn ways that our communities can support development.
Here is an article with some ideas!
I'd love it if everyone could learn more about one or two of these goals, and maybe even contribute to implementing them when you can!
mostly, though, I hope that seeing these goals can give you more sense of control over the issues you care about, and through that, take some pressure off your shoulders. with the goals written down, the next step is figuring out how to get there, and after that, taking action.
politics are messy, and the next several years are going to be rough, but with our objectives in sight, i know we'll get through it.

Every child has a superpower. Yet, those with disabilities often do not have full access to quality education and other services that would enable them to use their superpower to positively and fully contribute to society. A recent workshop on inclusion in early childhood, held as part of the Center for Universal Education’s symposium on education systems transformation for and through inclusive education, asked whether focusing on the early years of a child’s life might offer a window of opportunity to catch, remedy, and maybe even reverse a child’s development trajectory so all countries can reach the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It brought together early childhood development (ECD) and inclusion experts and those who wanted to learn more about the topic. Two key messages emerged from participants: every child matters, and early means early. Participants also suggested that the global community needs to develop a global disability-focused ECD strategy and that governments should allocate at least 3% of education budgets for children with disabilities.
Children with disabilities are not a monolith and vary greatly in the challenges they experience and their abilities to fully and positively contribute to society. Some have physical, mental, social, or sensory impairments while others have a combination of multiple challenges. Globally, it is estimated that 15% of the world population, about 1 billion people, live with some type of disability. UNICEF estimates that about 1 in every 10 children has at least one disability, with children from South Asia, East Asia, and West and Central Africa having higher incidences. Moreover, globally, almost 53 million children under the age of 5 have developmental disabilities, and many others live with hidden disabilities that may go unnoticed and, therefore, unrecorded.
The global Convention on the Rights of the Child and the U.N. Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) articulate the rights and equal treatment of children with disabilities. The CRPD provides a comprehensive international legal framework for the education rights of children with disabilities that has been ratified by 181 countries. These legal frameworks and the SDGs are resolute in leaving no one behind. Despite these legal frameworks, agreements, and aspirations, there are numerous challenges and insufficient investment for disabled children to enjoy full rights to education, health, and well-being. In most countries, children with disabilities face stigma and discrimination from their own governments, communities, and families. Their complex needs are often not included in policy and investment discussions. Investment in this cohort of children is usually not high on the policy or financing agenda, yet we know that increased investment and support for children with disabilities can accelerate countries’ paths to achieving the SDGs, particularly SDG 4.2. From 2007 to 2016, disability funding declined by 11.4% worldwide, and only 2% of the estimated $79.1 million invested in early childhood development was spent on young children with disabilities. Tim Shriver, Special Olympics’ Board Chair, maintains that if governments could commit even 3% of their overall education budgets to the inclusion of children with disabilities in existing classrooms, it could impact their abilities to thrive and contribute to our societies.
2 key messages
Every child matters
All of society benefits when all children are uplifted. For the early childhood sector, that means developing inclusive classrooms that use a twin-track approach and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Instruction. Using this method, rather than having separate classrooms for children, disability-focused support is provided in classrooms that focus on equity for all, but also provide specific support for those with disabilities. Research indicates that this approach benefits all children; children with disabilities have better developmental outcomes (for example, language, social and academic skills, better behaviors), and typically developing children have increased empathy, tolerance, skills in sign language, and more. Establishing inclusive classrooms also requires investment in upskilling classroom teachers so they can support children of all abilities while working with special education teachers. These interventions cost money, yet exclusion has greater negative costs to society in reduced national GDP and higher spending for remedial programs, to name a few. It is estimated that the annual economic cost to society when a disabled child is not able to attend school or get a job can be high—more than 1% of GDP in some cases.
Early means early
The first five years of life are crucial periods of brain growth and development where about 90% of new neural connections (about 1 million neural connections per second) are made. After around 30 months of life, the brain’s ability to change in response to experiences requires greater effort than before this period. Since the brain is very malleable during this phase, evidence suggests that early screening, referrals, and intervention can halt, improve, and completely change the course of a child’s developmental trajectory. As children are mostly with parents and caregivers during the earliest months of life, investing in their ability to support their children can be important. Often support for parents and caregivers to aid their children is unavailable in communities or unaffordable. Research comparing urban and rural children’s access to early childhood education found that those with access to support before age 5 (mostly in urban areas) had higher academic achievement. For children with autism, research indicates that early intervention can greatly ameliorate symptoms, putting children closer to the development trajectory of those without autism.
The way forward
Supporting children with disabilities is complex as their needs span multiple government and sectoral departments, there are finite resources in all government budgets, and underlying societal discrimination, even subtle, remains strong throughout the world. Yet, workshop participants suggested that supporting every child and doing so early provides the best chance for countries to meet the SDGs. Two suggested actions for supporting every child early that emerged from the workshop and recent literature include:
Establish a global, disability-focused ECD strategy: Global goals and road maps such as the SDGs, Nurturing Care Framework (NCF), and others include young children with disabilities yet provide inadequate strategy and concrete actions for how to ensure full rights and support for young children with disabilities. Thus, a strategy resulting from action by multiple sectors that complements the NCF is one agenda for progress.
Allocate at least 3% of education budgets for children with disabilities: Increasing investment will allow more to be done to support children with disabilities. These could focus on:
Supporting inclusive preschool classrooms that implement a twin-track approach and universal design for learning
Upskilling teachers that lead inclusive classrooms
Parental support so they have increased knowledge and skills to support their children
Strengthening early screening and referral systems
Research focused on young children with disabilities
Workshop participants were ready to join hands and tackle this complex challenge and suggested that commitment from stakeholders, including governments, donors, and families will be critical to light a path towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and ensuring a thriving society.

ok hi hi so just saw your keith sketch (that you made crying about your animation thesis) and now i want to know, whats your animation thesis????? Im too curious now
omg thank u for taking an interest?? :,)
basically my friends and i (a 3 person group) have to make a short film while grabbing something from the SDG goals (sustainable development goals of the UN)
our minimum runtime should be 1 minute per group member, but as an ambitious group (that we are paying the Price for considering we are in the production part where we only had less than 3 months to finish animating and coloring Everything...) doubled that runtime to a 6 minute short film :,)
so our thesis is basically making a short film from scratch all the way from thinking of names for our characters aaaaaalll the way to compositing and post prod editing.....
then after! we have to make an Entire 5 Chapter Research Paper talking about how the SDG goal is relevant to our short film (also talking about the animation process i think)!!!!!!!! : D yay or whatever
Our capstone project/thesis takes up 2 whole years! ! !
as for the concept/plot/characters im afraid we cant show that yet but im proud of what my friends and i have straggled together, we might post it on youtube once we graduate though!

lol my bad, sweets.
When I asked for fics I was mostly asking about jjk fics, but since you don't have those, maybe just what fics really REALLY does it to you in general. Personally I'm in multiple fandoms and I'd appreciate a good read. so really, anything. Like ur fav fics ever and ever.
Muah muah 😚😚
AHHHH I see I see
Yeah I don’t really read many jjk fics! Shocker, lol. Mainly because none of the main ships have really reeled me in (this includes satosugu… sorry, I’m just not a geto girlie…)
As for some general fic recs, I can happily oblige! (Most are haikyuu. That fandom shaped me as a person.)
‘campfire in your chest’ by deanpendragon: my all-time favourite fic ever. The fic that started it all: this is the reason I love friends-to-lovers, folks. Slowburn, mutual pining, everything I’ve tried for with IW was done first and done best here. I have reread this fic so many times that it feels nostalgic now. So, so incredibly beautiful. I will read anything by deanpendragon, but especially recommend ‘the certain things we lack’.
‘Then, Now, and Again’ by buttonstuck: I love so many of buttonstuck’s works but this is probably my favourite: poignant and so realistic, about getting together post-breakup and exploring what lead to the breakup in the first place. I loved the way it used time, and its structure was a huge inspiration for my other fic, ‘Soli Deo Gloria’.
‘Close to the Chest’ by darkmagicalgirl: Again: slowburn, coming of age, and really candid explorations of grappling with homophobia as a teen that did, in fact, make me a lil teary eyed.
‘Written in the Stars’ by Quixoticity: the pining. The pining. I remember reading this and thinking—oh, God, this is what I was going for with IW. I love soulmate aus with worldbuilding and angst and complexity (again, if you’ve read SDG you’ll know lmao) and this fulfilled everything.
‘Hemingway Can Suck It’ (orphan account): okay, this is just so funny. The premise is just giggle-inducing and I had to stop so many times to do the whole kicking-feet thing.
‘Spite’ by wellitcouldbeworse3: if you’re looking for a Levi x reader, literally look no further. I have such a soft spot for this fic (spot me in the comments!) but it truly is *that* levi fic from *that* levi author. A plethora of other fics, too (let me recommend ‘As The Spark Dies’ if you enjoyed the angst of IW).
There are so many more but these are the ones I’ve got off the top of my head. You’ll be able to tell that I have a genre of fic that I like, lmao. (I’ve also done a book rec list if you’re interested—it should be under the ‘book rec from me’ tag below) <3333

How human rights are a pathway to solutions, playing a critical role as a preventative, protective and transformative force for good.
Tumblr media
Since their adoption in 2015, many developing countries have made remarkable strides towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). However, a troubling disconnect persists: economic growth alone does not guarantee the alleviation of poverty or inequalities, the climate emergency accelerates, and the destruction of our natural world continues. As we mark Human Rights Day 2024, we are reminded that human rights are not abstract ideals. They are vital tools for addressing these pressing challenges and advancing dignity and justice for all.
In conflict and crisis settings, where violence and forced displacement prevail, human rights come under acute threat. Women and children are especially affected. In such contexts, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) works to support human rights solutions that strengthen accountability, protect communities and foster peace, recovery, and stability. This includes partnering with National Human Rights Institutions, which often represent the frontline defenders of human rights. For example, in Nigeria, UNDP collaborated with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) to support the National Human Rights Commission’s Human Rights Dashboard and Observatory to enable real-time tracking and analysis of human rights violations, directly support to conflict-affected populations. Local initiatives also remain key. That includes women in Somalia who are being supported to lead peace efforts including assisting those facing violence, discrimination, and injustice. “I have resolved numerous local disputes…I feel motivated when I see I have been able to change people’s lives positively,” says Fatuma who led a local Peace Working Group.
As the accelerating climate emergency threatens the ability of current and future generations to enjoy their right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment, UNDP is focusing on access to justice, working with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and OHCHR to help communities claim their rights. Moreover, in countries such as Belize, UNDP’s Climate Promise is supporting national climate change dialogues that comprise of key groups like civil society, Indigenous Peoples, and women's organizations, ensuring that everyone can have a say in their climate futures  -- advancing climate justice. The private sector also has a pivotal role to play. UNDP supports the implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights including to advance sustainable practices that protect the environment. Indeed, technology offers both risks and opportunities to advance human rights. The Global Digital Compact aims to create an inclusive, open, safe, and secure digital space that respects, protects and promotes human rights. Tech-enabled UNDP tools like iVerify and eMonitor+ deployed in over 25 countries to monitor and address false narratives and hate speech show the potential. It is now crucial to adopt a rights-based approach to technologies like A.I., addressing ethical challenges, protecting data, and tackling biases to mitigate risks today and unlock immense benefits for the generations to come.
The Pact for the Future reaffirms that the three pillars of the United Nations – sustainable development, peace and security, and human rights – are equally important, interlinked and mutually reinforcing. Remove one, and the balance falters. Alongside our partners from the UN and beyond, UNDP is dedicated to bringing the Pact to life. In many ways, it calls for a re-think of how our global community plans, acts, and thinks together for the future, concertedly creating a more continuous thread of actions that will shape the world to come. That involves embedding human rights into every aspect of our work to help realise a future where justice, equality and opportunity stretches beyond the far horizon.
Achim Steiner, Administrator, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
This Human Rights Day, 10 December 2024, we focus on how human rights are a pathway to solutions, playing a critical role as a preventative, protective and transformative force for good.

Got to hang with my lady friends last night. Was okay. Thing is, I don't get to discuss shit about Jon with them because they are still friends with him. And there was something I had wanted to talk about. I tried, but they both just stayed quiet so I had to make it brief and drop it.
The two of them went to uni together so often they spend a lot of time talking about that and I just have to sit and listen. So that tends to get a little old.
I need more local friends. As it is, SDG is my best friend rn 😬
Like it was nice to see them and spend time with them, but also it did highlight that I do need some other friends...

Follow-on from this post, I just rewatched Arendelle and I realised that Larxene's black-and-white viewpoint serves as a parallel to the theme of equality between light and dark. Rather than encouraging the spread of darkness, Larxene takes offense to the spreading of light (eg. her beef with SDG trying to win Elsa over to the side of light). Rather than seeing either light or dark as superior, she sees them as both amoral and unchangeable characteristics.
This would in theory poise her to be all for Xehanort's plan, even moreso than some of her collaborators since the real org is held together with duct tape and a dream, but this conflicts her fierce independence. She's adamant in not wanting her agency to be subsumed as a husk, as seen in both her death scene and the 'ancient keyblade legacy' scene, and it's echoed by her stance of letting Elsa decide her own fate in Arendelle.
^ interesting to note though that she doesn't have a particular aim in retaining her independence, given her partnership with Marluxia. This is something I could see coming up in her future depictions
In conclusion²:

It is now May and we still haven't heard anything about the adult Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure! sequel that is supposed to air sometime this year. Nothing official or direct has been said about it since the initial announcement over a year ago, but despite that, there have been some bits of information we can piece together about it.
To start off, let's look at the initial announcement back in March 2023. To celebrate the Pretty Cure franchise's 20th anniversary, Toei Animation announced that they would be producing two sequel PreCure anime for adult audiences.
The first one was Kibou no Chikara ~Otona PreCure '23~/Power of Hope ~PreCure Full Bloom~, which was a sequel to the first five PreCure seasons, but primarily Yes! Pretty Cure 5 and Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo! It aired on NHK-E in Fall 2023 for 12 episodes, and was streamed internationally on Crunchyroll.
The second one was tentatively titled "Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure! 2," obviously a sequel to the 13th season of the same name. It was said to air sometime in 2024 on the late night ANiMAZiNG!!!! block. And that's all we ever heard about it since.
ANiMAZiNG!!!!
Let's look at what ANiMAZiNG!!!! actually is. It's an anime programming block from 2:00-2:30AM on Sundays created by the Asahi Broadcasting Corporation with TV Asahi; these networks are the ones responsible for airing PreCure in Japan every Sunday at 8:30AM, so it's familiar territory. ANiMAZiNG!!!! started in October 2020.
Notable anime that aired on this block include: Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie, The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious, The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!, SK8 the Infinity, Iwa-Kakeru! Sport Climbing Girls, I Shall Survive Using Potions!, and Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement.
A 2:00AM slot for PreCure is quite interesting, as even OtonaPre aired on NHK-E as late as Saturday 6:30PM. Despite this, the anime that airs on this block usually isn't too "adult," i.e violent or sexual, so I don't expect MahoPre2 to be anything of the sort. Similarly, the recent Tokyo Mew Mew New aired around midnight, and it wasn't out of the ordinary in terms of content.
With the exception of the Jahy anime, the anime that airs on this block usually does for just one cour, i.e. it has about 11-12 episodes and takes up one seasonal anime slot. We can assume that MahoPre will also have 12 episodes, not just because of this, but also because that was the same amount OtonaPre had. Relatedly, since MahoPre2 is airing on a different network than OtonaPre did, I also think that MahoPre2, when it gets an official title, is probably not going to be under the "Otona" label. OtonaPre aired on NHK-E, the "E" standing for education, and thus was heavily tied in to topics such as climate change and SDGs, of which I don't see MahoPre2 focusing on as much given it will air on a different network that doesn't have such an educational slant (see the other anime that usually airs on ANiMAZiNG!!!!).
At this point in time, the Winter 2024 anime season has long since concluded, and the Spring 2024 season is currently ongoing. So, we know what anime has aired/is airing on ANiMAZiNG!!!! this year so far, but we also have information on a few anime that will air later in the year too, so let's paint a schedule:
The Strongest Tank's Labyrinth Raids — Jan 7 - Mar 24 (Winter 2024)
Tonari no Yokai-san — Apr 7 - TBA (Spring 2024)
??? (Summer 2024)
The Healer Who was Banished From His Party is Actually the Strongest — Starts Oct (Fall 2024)
All of the seasonal slots for ANiMAZiNG!!! this year, except for Summer, have been filled up, and none of them include MahoPre2. On the official site, the poster for the upcoming Summer season is just a blank "Coming Soon." I find it surprising in the case of the Fall slot, because I was expecting MahoPre2 to air there, as OtonaPre also aired in the Fall last year. Based on this information and lack thereof so far, one can assume that MahoPre2 will be airing in the Summer, but doesn't that seem a little strange?
The Summer anime season usually starts in July, and that's two months away now, so why have we gotten basically no official information on the anime yet, not even a proper title or a few visuals? Despite the fact that OtonaPre aired in October last year, we got a peek at the first visual about a week after the initial announcement in March, followed by a moderately paced reel of information throughout the year. Looking at the other non-PreCure anime on ANiMAZiNG!!!!, Strongest Tank was officially announced back in October 2023 (three months prior to airing), Yokai-san was officially announced back in November 2023 (five months prior to airing), [insert overtly long isekai title] was announced earlier this year in January (9 months prior to airing), so MahoPre2 definitely stands out in its lack of information at this late of a stage. Even so, I can't think of any other anime that would be taking the Summer slot at this point in time. There's also the possibility that Yokai-san runs for a second cour, but usually anime that airs on ANiMAZiNG!!! only run for one season, and Yokai-san's original manga concluded with 4 volumes and one side story, which is generally enough content to fit one cour.
So, what can we expect in the coming weeks/months? The first thing is, like most PreCure anime, a logo/title drop in the Japanese trademark office. Just a day before the initial announcement of OtonaPre, the logo was recorded in the office, so it's likely that whenever the MahoPre2 title drops, an official reveal will follow shortly.
What Rie Takahashi said
Another bit of information comes from Rie Takahashi, the voice actress for MahoPre's Mirai /Cure Miracle, on her radio show with fellow voice actress and friend, Reina Ueda (who coincidentally voices Mayu/Cure Lillian in the current Wonderful Pretty Cure!). For the episode uploaded on February 19 earlier this year, she talks a bit about MahoPre2, how it's airing sometime in 2024, and that they're excited for it, that this year is going to be a great one, no new information really, but it's probably the most recent information we've gotten from an official source, albeit a reconfirmation of what we already know.
Somewhat relatedly, the Kamikita twins, who draw the seasonal PreCure manga adaptations every year, posted a tweet earlier this year in January asking if there was anymore news on MahoPre2, which seems to indicate that, even to them at that point, they weren't briefed on anything behind the scenes.
Speculation: The "Wonderful PreCure!" movie
For the sections labeled speculation, I ask that you please do not take anything I write here as pure fact.
While browsing the Japanese side of Twitter, I came across a few opinions of PreCure fans on why Toei is being hush on MahoPre2. One idea is linked to the WonPre movie coming out later in September. In the film's initial trailer, there's a line said towards the end:
youtube
さらに素敵なお友達の出番です!っていいました! "Sara ni sutekina otomodachi no deban desu! tte iimashita?!" "Did you just say, 'It's time for even more wonderful friends'?!"
What's the significance of the Japanese characters I highlighted in bold? In the context of PreCure, they are the catchphrases of Sora from last year's HiroPre, and Mirai from MahoPre. The 出番, deban, comes from Sora's catchphrase, ヒーローの出番です!, Hero no deban desu!, or officially translated as "It's hero time!" The っていいました?!, tte iimashita?!, or "Did you just say [x]?!" is a quoting particle frequently used by Mirai. Tumblr only allows one video upload per post, so I'll have to link to a separate post I made with the video comparison.
With this in mind, a fair amount of fans believe that the WonPre film will be another crossover one, like the HealPre and TroPre ones were, only this time, that team will be crossing over with the HiroPre and MahoPre teams. It's likely that MahoPre is added in to promote the upcoming sequel, which could be airing around the time the film hits theaters. For that reason, it's probable that Toei wants to combine the marketing for both MahoPre2 and the WonPre film, neither of which has started yet.
Speculation: MahoPre2 Delayed?
The idea of MahoPre2 being delayed isn't really based on any evidence, but pure speculation. Some fans believe that internal politics at Toei have made them shelve the sequel for the time being. Sailor Moon fans are familiar with how Sailor Moon Eternal and Sailor Moon Cosmos were mishandled and delayed multiple times.
youtube
Ojamajo Doremi, PreCure's older sister franchise, is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary with a potential animation plan adapting the sequel light novels with the girls grown up. Funnily enough, that's similar to the concept of MahoPre2, so maybe Toei somewhere down the line turned MahoPre2 into Doremi1620? Hahaha...
Another common theory is that MahoPre2 will actually air in early 2025. That sounds a bit weird, doesn't it? They explicitly said 2024, even Rie Takahashi said so, right? Technically, that wouldn't be a lie, if Toei was looking at Fiscal Year 2024, which in Japan, lasts from April 2024 to March 2025 for governments and corporations. That would give MahoPre2 time to air in the Winter 2025 season, and thus the promotion hasn't started yet because it's still too early.
So, with that all said, there are at least two time periods I believe MahoPre2 could air in, the Summer 2024 season, or the Winter 2025 season. As of now, we can only wait for more information, but I do not have reason to believe that Toei cancelled this project.

Marpu Foundation: Transforming the World Through Youth Power
Marpu, a Sanskrit word signifying ‘transformation’, is the heart of our foundation’s ethos. We believe in the extraordinary potential of youth to be catalysts for positive change. Our mission is to harness this energy through innovative, empathy-driven projects that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Our long-term vision is a world characterized by equity, compassion, and sustainability – a world built collaboratively through partnerships. To achieve this, we focus on four key areas:
Environmental Sustainability
We are committed to protecting our planet for future generations. Our environmental initiatives focus on two critical areas:
Clean water and sanitation: We are working to provide access to clean water and improved sanitation through the implementation of biosand filters in rural communities. These filters are low-cost, sustainable solutions that can significantly impact public health.
Affordable and clean energy: We are promoting the adoption of renewable energy sources through the development of community microgrids. By providing access to affordable and clean energy, we aim to improve livelihoods and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
Economic Development
Our economic development programs focus on creating opportunities for all, especially marginalized communities. We are working to reduce inequality and achieve zero hunger through the following initiatives:
Zero hunger: We are implementing blockchain-based distribution systems to ensure efficient and transparent delivery of food aid. This innovative approach helps to reduce food waste and improve food security.
Reduced inequality: We are empowering women and youth through entrepreneurship and skill development programs. By providing access to financial resources and training, we are helping to create a more equitable society.
Social Development
We believe that every individual has the right to a decent standard of living, access to quality education, and equal opportunities. Our social development programs focus on:
Quality education: We are working to improve access to quality education, especially for girls and young women. Our programs include building schools, providing teacher training, and implementing early childhood development initiatives.
Gender equality: We are committed to promoting gender equality and empowering women. Our initiatives include women’s empowerment programs, leadership training, and advocacy for women’s rights.
Partnerships
Collaboration is essential to achieving our goals. We believe that by working together, we can create a greater impact. Our partnership programs focus on building strong relationships with government agencies, businesses, NGOs, and community-based organizations. We also actively involve young people as partners in our work, recognizing their invaluable contributions.
By focusing on these four key areas, Marpu Foundation is working towards a future where young people are at the forefront of creating a sustainable and equitable world. We invite you to join us on this transformative journey.
