Back in my little serie of my sitcom life, although today wasn't really sitcomy at all, it was more like an urban rpg but fun anyway
Since we didn't have much to do during the afternoon, I went out in the city with my friends to complete some of our personnal side quests
My current main quest : making two internship reports, due for next monday
Status : let's not talk about it QwQ
Side quest 1 : getting some melatonin pills
Status : success !
Side quest 2 : finding some clay that harden in the oven and then making a sort of pin
Status : almost completed !
My friends quest :
- one needed to find a portfolio for her own report, ended up buying 4 canvas and one giant board (?)
Status : I guess it's a success ?
- an other one needed to find a big paper cup, some big papers and a blank t-shirt (?)
Status : success !
- last one needed to find a portfolio type of stuff as well, and also she decided to buy some perfume
Status : success to both side quests
Welp, today was fun ! We completed so many side quests !
Did I make any progress on my main quest ? Absolutely not but hey that's what the night is for isn't it ?

god bless i’m introverted and stay inside as much as possible because the few times i do go out there’s some major side quests going on

i think it would be very funny if lime kept stealing all of mochis side quests because he thinks theyre fun even though he doesnt need any of the rewards and everyone is pissed because they could actually use the things she gives in exchange but lime keeps fucking taking all the side quest resources before anyone has a chance to report back

i made super delicious curry with pork, potatoes, carrots, eggplant, green pepper, mushrooms, and pumpkin and because of how big a pot i made it's only like $2 per portion. adult success
#was excited abt the curry and this also seemed like the kind of thing you put on tumblr#on the bus back from work today i wrote a reply letter to my friend#and getting off the bus in front of the post office i ran into one of my closest friends here#all fancy seeing you here#she was like eh fuck it i'll join you on the side quest so we went to the post office then picked up bread at the bakery#said bye at the park and i stayed and read in the grass for a while#another friend tried reading honey girl and said it was ass which surprised me bc i'd been so close to buying it#at bookstores so many times#or like vaguely aware of it w it established in my head as good sapphic lit#found a pdf and read it in my downtime at work + at the park + used text to speech to listen to it while cooking#now sitting on couch eating the fruits of my easy labor#filled w veggies!!#an abnormally nice day in a lot of normal ways#personal

played totk for 6+ hours straight and i now emerge with the grogginess of an unplanned 3 hour nap
#i accomplished a lot today#but in hyrule#beat my second regional boss knocked out like seven side quests and a side adventure#which btw the story of the great sky island ROBBED me you call that a STORY that's not even ao3 summary level#SHOULDA BEEN A CUTSCENE#shocker of all shockers for the day was i spent the entire time aboveground and occasionally in the sky#usually when i am absorbed like a narrative amoeba i've been in the depths#forced myself to make actual story progress#gonna have to actually complete the game all the way through ganon's shit for this game#i need to save her i need her back#she doesn't deserve this

one of those saturdays where effectively it's been very productive. i got my assignment submitted and am officially ahead on my school work. ate breakfast ate lunch. washed towels. did my own laundry. scrubbed the stove. but i am just annoyed and restless like i should have gotten more done arhgghghghg
gonna see about getting some sushi and chilling out
#it's just like i have this endless feeling dogging my heels of just like#needing to be accomplishing more#like the very fact that i feel i have accomplished something adequate does not help because it's just the endless#'and now what! and now what! and now what! and now what! and now what! and now what! and now what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'#i just wanna live in the moment and be happy#like i think last weekend i spent a whole day playing video games and listening to a book and nothing else#and the feeling i felt at the end of that day is more or less the exact same as today#despite the fact that the kind of 'accomplishment' (of the bare minimum) im doing today being the hting that felt like it dogged my heels#idk it's just like. where are y'all getting your fulfillment you know?#should i be getting into a relationship? should i be putting my single life aside?#im not saying that because i want to be dating or somehting#but because it's like. i feel as if i have completed my life. i grinded. i got my stats up. got a lot of achievements#and now im running around mopping up side quests but it doesn't feel that meaningful when the main quest is all done and ive got all my gea#sorry for the loser metaphor#but that really is the feeling that comes back neverendingly: what the hell is my drive?

#ffxiv’s story is so dang big#how many cool character stories and backstories are locked behind job quests?#just learned today that the dragoon job quest ahead more on estinien’s back story and now#gladiator/paladin was my starter job 😭 the only edge I had was knowing about the monetarists before msq explicitly talked about them#I also unlocked drk cuz I heard the story quest was good#I main samurai cuz I just really wanted a melee dps and ended up sad cuz the story was good#I wanted a sword or slashing melee dps cuz pugilist wasn’t doing it for me honestly 😭#heard reaper was good but that’s a lvl 70 unlock and I only just got to lvl 65#and this is like from cultural osmosis that I knew these jobs/stories were good#didn’t even hear about story/lore about dragoons until hearing it offhandedly when I wanted to look into Estinien#now I’m wondering how that’s gonna affect the story since I just finished Heavensward/dragonsong war#and I plan on going back to level all the other jobs one day#I’m too curious#I need to know every single story there needs to be told in this game now#it’s been hurting me to leave side quests undone cuz I learnt they were needed to lvl other jobs later#ramble

my dad’s doing an amateur radio competition which is great for him and all, but the interference from his radio keeps crashing my computer and im in a Bad Mood
#today i was gonna finish the frostback basin and do the arbor wilds#and possibly finish the whole game because there’s not much after that#but it’s a 24hr competition so. fuck me.#the speed at which i got mad probably means it wasn’t gonna happen tho. i should have a nap or something#but on the note of this playthrough and getting it done…..i REALLY want to do the full game including all dlc#but idk how i’m gonna force myself to play trespasser. like it’s fun; that’s not the problem#but the point of this run is to get achievements and the only one left for this run is taming the dragon after the arbor wilds#im gonna have to push myself to finish the game after that (hence doing all the main game dlc before that)#idk if i can keep pushing through trespasser. not when i have plans for the next run#i don’t think i’ll be doing much other than the main quests for the next run tho and i’m fully accepting that before i start#i’ve just gotta play through on nightmare for the last 2 achievements#like i’ll do some side stuff to level (esp since i won’t have trials so i can actually over level)#but even if i wanted to i don’t think i could do much; i can’t play dai twice too close together it’s too much#im just determined enough about the achievements that i can probably do it#personal#ok i don’t KNOW that the last crash was because of the radio; it was during the horrible despair demon fight on the island#which (in addition to being VERY HARD) is also VERY gpu-intensive so maybe it just crashed naturally#but the radio did randomly crash my second monitor a few times this week and also crashed slay the spire a few hrs ago#so i think it’s reasonable to assume it played a part here. either way it IS crashing things
