MY HONEST OPINION ON: Heldmaschine's new single "Karl Denke"

If you like German music and Rammstein I recommend you to listen to Heldmaschine. They are a Neue Deutsche Härte band from Koblenz, Germany; formed in 2008 they were initially a cover band of Rammstein, but after the release of their first album they changed name and focused on writing original music.

That being said, I'm going to talk about their new single "Karl Denke". The song opens with a whistle melody and later starts the heavy guitar riff. René Anlauff's vocals are just amazing and so are the instruments; the keyboards give the whole that electronic touch typical of their style. The atmosphere is creepy and fits perfectly the subject of the song*.

"Karl Denke" is a perfectly executed song, with a great guitar riff and a disturbing vibe. I'm sure the album won't disappoint.

*Not fun but definitely a fact: Karl Denke was a German serial k!ller and c@nnibal born in 1860 and active from 1903 to 1924 (the year of his death).

En su nuevo álbum giulia, el moderno trío de jazz europeo triosence rinde homenaje a la belleza de la vida en once coloridas composiciones que difícilmente podrían ser más diversas, optimistas y virtuosas. El legendario trompetista Paolo Fresu aparece en el álbum como invitado especial.

Un inspirador sentimiento de "dolce vita" vive en todas las canciones del álbum, que el trío pianístico germano-cubano Triosence - Bernhard Schüler (piano), Omar Rodríguez Calvo (bajo) y Tobias Schulte (batería) - grabó en la pintoresca región italiana de "Friuli Venezia" en junio de 2021. "giulia" es una liberación musical, llena de confianza y ligereza, y al mismo tiempo un homenaje a la pintoresca región italiana donde se grabó.

Las emotivas imágenes musicalizadas por el maestro Bernhard Schüler evocan los momentos felices y despreocupados de la vida: la cercanía física de un ser querido, un viaje a la Toscana o ver cómo las ardillas transforman el jardín de casa en un manicomio. "giulia" combina varios estilos de jazz, tempos y estados de ánimo. Piezas como "Odd Times" o "Little Big Steps" parecen nostálgicas y soñadoras. Otras, sin embargo, como "Armando's Farewell" o la canción que da título al disco, tienen algo de optimismo desbordante, mientras que "Squirrel's Rock" y "Ambiguity" parecen francamente rockeras. Dos composiciones están dedicadas a los ídolos musicales de Bernhard Schüler: una al pianista Chick Corea ("Armando's Farewell"), la otra a Bill Evans ("Needless To Say").

El legendario trompetista de jazz italiano Paolo Fresu colaboró como invitado especial en nada menos que tres de los temas del álbum y tuvo una influencia decisiva en ellos: "Es uno de mis músicos favoritos", dice Schüler, "ya me había puesto en contacto con él antes, pero desgraciadamente nunca funcionó. El año pasado me contestó que no iba a hacer ninguna colaboración, pero que el estilo y el ambiente de Triosence le parecían tan buenos que haría una excepción. Eso me alegró mucho y me inspiró".

Grabado por el renombrado ingeniero y productor Stefano Amerio, giulia se grabó en el verano de 2021 en los estudios de grabación Artesuono de Udine. Un lugar que a Schüler le gusta tanto como toda la región de Friuli Venezia. Las composiciones de Bernhard Schüler también se inspiran en su estilo de armon��a, calidez y confianza. Con su música, que a veces denomina "song jazz", crea brillantes pinturas sonoras: "Nos preocupan las melodías cantables con estructuras similares a las de las canciones. Este enfoque en la melodía y las canciones nos distingue de otros tríos de jazz".

triosence realizará una extensa gira de conciertos en febrero de 2022.

El grupo fue fundado por el pianista Bernhard Schüler en 1999 y ha pasado por varias formaciones. Triosence cuenta con nueve álbumes publicados hasta la fecha. Musicalmente y por su nombre, triosence (neologismo derivado de trio-essence) hace referencia al planteamiento de igualdad de instrumentos, siguiendo el modelo del pianista estadounidense Bill Evans. Schüler estudió en la Universidad de Música de Colonia, ganó numerosos concursos nacionales e internacionales y fue nominado para el Premio Alemán de la Crítica Discográfica, entre otros. Vuelve a vivir en su ciudad natal, Kassel.

Heldmaschine

Hallo, ich möchte, dass du die Band Heldmaschine kennenlernst. Die Band wurde in Koblenz, in Deutschland gegründet. Sie spielen das Genre des Neue Deutsche Härte. Mitglieder sind: René Anlauff, Tobias Kaiser, Eugen Leonhardt, Marco Schulte und Dirk Oechsle. Heldmaschine entstanden 2011 als Parallelprojekt aus der Rammstein Tribute-Band Völkerball. Im Jahr 2013 änderte die Band ihren Namen in Heldmaschine. Am 28. März 2014 erschien die CD Propaganda. Für die Regionalpresse galt die Band als „größte Neuentdeckung der Neuen-Deutschen-Härte-Szene“. Da die Band als Parallelprojekt zur Band Rammstein geboren wurde, gibt es viele Gemeinsamkeiten. Es ist vor allem in Genre, Songtexte und Kostüme während der Aufführungen ähnlich.

Die Band hat bereits mehrere Alben veröffentlicht, zum Beispiel: Weichen und Zunder, Propaganda, Lügen, Himmelskörper, Live und laut, Im fadenkreuz.

Und Videoclips: Radioaktiv, Doktor, Weiter!, Propaganda, Wer einmal lügt, Maskenschlacht, Sexschuss, Gottverdammter Mensch.

 Ich habe die Band gewählt, weil ich das Genre mag, das sie spielen. Und mein Lieblingslied ist weiter!.
