My grandmother is Japanese and really likes to give gifts. Often those gifts are Japanese desserts or other food, but sometimes she just slips me cash, folded up inside a tiny, beautiful envelope. But she likes to pretend she's not giving me money, so when possible, she'll hide it somewhere that I will find later.

Today I spent the afternoon with her doing chores and tech support, and she clearly felt this warranted a significant gift in return (no matter that I enjoyed myself). But she forgot to slip something into my pocket or bag before I left, so instead she rushed outside as I was starting my car, making the old-school "roll down the window" gesture. Once I complied, she was forced to acknowledge she was handing me money, but she also tried to minimize the gesture.

The result was that she said, "Thank you, dear! I just wanted you to be able to... to buy yourself a hamburger," and then handed me a darling little envelope that turned out to contain $100. And all I could think was:

Fic where through Rocket Corp Shenanigans and/or Orange Power Craziness, the Color Gang, TCO and Victim all get spat out into the human world, where Alan then has to reveal to his wife that surprise! Living stick figures are real, he's made living stick figures, two of them don't like him, and one of those two is actively trying to kill him, while the other five see him as their Dad.

All while trying, and just barely succeeding, in wrangling a very ferally angry Victim who is trying his hardest to inflict great bodily harm onto Alan despite Alan being literally five times his size while the others are panicking trying to figure out how to help. Except for TCO, who is just WAITING for Alan accidentally drop Victim so he can return the favor of the Box beatdown.

And Kaori, who Alan never told that his animations were based on real events and real living stick figures, is just sitting there watching this lunacy like this:

Ok so I might be watching TF One with my brother either tonight or tomorrow, so here are some predictions for his reaction:

Worst case prediction. He won't like the movie. Like he may enjoy it but he'll say it's ass.

RIP Badassatron, I am sure my brother's going to hate him. Even if I vouch for B-127 he's probably cooked

He is not going to be able to take D-16 dropping Orion seriously, which will 100% be my fault.

He's probably going to ask for some random general Transformers lore and who random characters are. I'm sure this will happen as it has happened whenever I've watched other Transformers things with him as well.

He's going to hear the "My finger can transform guess which one" line and side eye me pretty fucking hard. Or clown on me because that's my blog title. Whichever one. But I'm sure it'll happen.

Also, not a prediction, but my brother knows Chris Hemsworth is in it, and is pretty confused by that. I haven't told him who he plays because I don't really give enough of a shit but I do think it's funny that my brother was all "??" about that

You know normally I dunk on USAmericans for not understanding aussie slang but sometimes they're right. just found out aussies call toasted sandwiches "jaffles" and it is the dumbest name I've ever heard for anything in my life

apparently it refers exclusively to the ones made with the proper toasted sandwich makers, not the like. pan fried ones. but you could've still called it literally anything else

Well, it's been a hell of a couple of weeks, and one of many things that happened is that I ended up coming home from Urgent Care looking rather like fruit being packed up for long distance shipping.

I got pretty scraped up when I fell while hiking nearly a month ago. Then I got significantly better... and then I got a whole lot worse.

If you would like to avoid some truly disgusting and painful wounds, you should know that you are likely to develop an allergy to Neosporin if you use it for multiple weeks (and probably the same goes for other brands of over-the-counter antibiotic ointments, I'm guessing).
