I just got all the available guys & dishes & mugs up on my shop (heywitch.bigcartel.com) for the December 2nd update & am now going to slowly post some better photos/so-far-unposted pals.
First up? These two toad plates, who I love for both toad-glaze reasons and plate-glaze ones...it's just all so cool across the board! I mentioned this in the last post about the trinket plates, but them not needing to be food-safe means I could truly go wild with layering some of my fancy crystalline glazes!

WAKE UP, SHEEPLE: THE TRUTH ABOUT FROGS
Listen up, because I’m about to drop some cold, hard facts that Big Frog doesn’t want you to know. You think frogs are cute? Harmless? Just little green guys minding their business? WRONG. You’ve been lied to. The truth is horrifying.
EXHIBIT A: FROGS ARE SPIES.
That’s right. Ever notice how frogs just sit there? Watching? Listening? Collecting data? They don’t blink. They don’t move. They just stare with those weird little eyes, absorbing every detail of your existence. And for what? Who are they reporting to? The Government? Aliens? The Illuminati???
EXHIBIT B: THEY’RE STEALING OUR HOPPING TECHNIQUES.
Toads hopped first. That’s a historical fact. (Don’t look it up.) But then frogs? Oh, suddenly they start hopping too. Copying us. Imitating us. Stealing our culture. This is textbook appropriation. Not cool.
EXHIBIT C: FROGS ARE TOO WET.
I don’t trust an animal that is constantly damp for no reason. How are you always so moist? What are you hiding in that weird slippery skin? Why do you feel like a raw chicken breast? Normal creatures (aka toads) have the decency to be delightfully bumpy and dry.
EXHIBIT D: THEY HAVE NO MORALS.
Frogs will eat anything. Bugs? Sure. Other frogs? Also yes. Their own young? SOMETIMES. Absolute monsters. Zero ethics.
EXHIBIT E: KERMIT IS A FRAUD.
I don’t care how many banjos he plays or how many sad little songs he sings about rainbows—Kermit the Frog is a manipulative, two-faced, morally bankrupt LIAR, and I’m sick of pretending he’s not.
He built his entire career on LIES. You think he’s just some innocent little frog who made it big in Hollywood? NO. He climbed to the top by selling out every other Muppet. Gonzo? Animal? Fozzie? All funnier, all more talented, but Kermit keeps himself at center stage. He’s the definition of a nepotism baby, but no one wants to say it.
He’s a corporate shill. This frog will endorse ANYTHING. He’ll slap his name on a lunchbox, a cereal, a Happy Meal toy, you name it. If Disney told him to sell swamp water as a health drink, he’d do it. No shame. No dignity. Just pure capitalist greed.
His voice is unbearable. Oh, I’m sorry, I’m supposed to respect a creature that sounds like a balloon being slowly deflated?
HE IS GREEN. The most suspicious color. What is he hiding? Why is he so green? Is it a disguise? Is it mold? Is he even a frog at all, or just some radioactive mistake?
Coincidence? I THINK NOT.
FINAL WARNING: DO NOT TRUST FROGS.
If you see one, do not engage. Do not make eye contact. Do not let them near your secrets. They are agents of chaos and deception and I will not rest until the world knows the truth.

I modified the legs a bit#if you recognize this paper good eye#I had a leftover square that was only usable on one side from when I prepare the paper for my oyster#this gold and green coloring was for the exterior :)#you can see a teensy bit of the failed mother of pearl side on the inside of the front legs#really lovely volumes on this one and the thick goopy texture for the oyster actually collaborated beautifully#also again check out that back crimp UGH

Sasha using the title "Lord" in RiAAU after taking over Toad Tower and presumably killing Grime and stealing Barrel's Warhammer from him, and other political and military leaders assuming she's a man because, well, Sasha is a gender neutral name, so they hear Lord Sasha and assume they're talking about an adult male toad warrior. The second most powerful person in the known world and only real threat to the Leviathan reign!
Cue princess Marcy fleeing Newtopia and her father seeking refuge with his worst enemy hoping to offer information and political levarage in exchange for protection, perhaps even offering herself in marriage to transfer eventual inheritances and whatnot, and she finds out that Lord Sasha is not, indeed, a dark and domineering toad warlord, but a beautiful, terrifying girl her age that looks like her and oh god her poor little lesbian heart can barely take it.
