scifi stories with human-adjacent robots generally tend to gloss over the issues of power reserves but theres something intriguing to me about the idea of an android having to lug around external battery packs because their internal power source isnt strong enough to keep them going for long on its own
#there are a lot of fun ideas to be had with this concept i think#maybe its an intentional design defect to ensure dependency on human civilization#or maybe an individual is going to some inhospitable locale where they wont be able to recharge normally for an extended period of time#random rambles#ive got a half-cooked mecha story wherein the mech's semi-sentient AI are tired of being shackled to inconvenient war machines#so the gvmnt gives them humanoid 'civilian' bodies but the bodies dont have any power on their own and have to remain physically hooked up#to their mech selves#so even though they can interact amicably with the people on their bases they cant actually leave it or do anything on their own#maybe ill write a short story about it

Do you think cybertronians ever see the universe in humans and earth? In the sense that sometimes humans can resemble the stars. Our eyes are never ending specks of color that dance and intertwine. Freckles that dust the skin and I belive are called angel kisses that can sometimes shimmer in the sun like twinkling stars. Asteroid hyalosis is a common eye condition that effects 0.8–2% of the population and up to 91% of people over the age of 90. Often resembling the night sky if not a golden galaxy. The very element that so carefully make us are ones that create stars. Idk I just think it would be sweet to see medics maybe come to enjoy doing check ups on humans. Maybe mechs and femms who can't help but stare into human eyes with enchantment haha.
I think alot of the Cybertronians find strange beauty in humans. At first it's more curious fascination with humans. To them we are funky little guys who do some silly stuff and can't protect our selves.
But when they start looking deeper, they start to see what gives humans their humanity. They see you one day frantically running inside out of the rain with a small bundle of feathers cupped in your hand, and when you explain its a baby bird that needed help it starts to open their optics more, watching how you. A small being to them care so much for even smaller creatures. Watching the way you will put a cup over a spider to take them outside, feed stray animals.
It's how they start to pay even more attention to you, optics scanning your face and their possessor starts to make the lines of star systems on your skin connection freckles, moles, birth marks. They are so fascinated with how your skin patterns itself with starlight. Slowly tracing the markings with their digits.
One night, you're just laying naked against their frame as they press gentle kisses to each mark on your skin, servo holding you tightly as their digits continue dancing across invisible markings that they can see.
And then they focus on your eyes, the swirling mix of colours are like that of dancing plants in the dusted stars. They don't just see you as an organic. Now they see you as a living breathing universe of colours and sounds that have them cradling you closely, wishing to keep their little universe in their servos.

Okay wait no culture clash: Soundwave and Ratchet both teaching the kids about Cybertonian history and Culture?? Can we PLEASE see some of that??
Ratchet is having back to back fits because nothing is going as planned, and he feels he made a deal with the devil or has been given a monkey's paw because he's getting his wishes in a really twisted way without even knowing there were active conditions.
He returned to Earth to watch on the place that held a special place in Optimus' spark as the rebuilding process is taking a different shape and he's too tired to carry that burden on his own, and found out it there were still Primal Artifacts and other weaponry from the Vaults on the planet.
The once teenage tagalongs are now adults that are continuing Team Prime's directives to collect them. They had sacrificed continuing higher education for the mission, and Ratchet couldn't stand that he already missed a portion of their lives that damn fast and how they're so nonchalant over not improving their own selves. Ratchet then found out that Raf, Jack, and Miko had literally spent lifetimes together as they traveled Elsewhere to secure Cybertronian relics that shaped their planet in some way or form. Not only grew up. They grew old in some of their ventures; delving deep into their Other heritages to ensure they could make it back in the right time.
The kids (because they're all kids to him, even if Raf has a beard) are still limited by an organic lifespan, and humans are shorter compared to other species, so Ratchet clucks over their health, and he counts the days when all he has left are their ghosts and dust. And then a Primal Artifact cyberforms them.
Of course, none of his kids are what the Autobots had thought their frames would be. They're all strange, otherworldly, and dangerous.
Miko is definitely a spitfire. But not a motorcycle or a tank. She's a full-framed War-Forged Seeker femme. She revels in her bloodthirst and dresses well in violence as her plating is a searing and hauntingly bright pink. Her helm has small horns, her mouth spilts wide, and she enjoys showing off rows and rows of serrated teeth with her unsettling optics brimming with tactical programs.
Raf isn't a mech with alt based on lab equipment or even suited towards data. He's something completely else. He's draconian, but not a Predacon, as that root-mode is something familiar to Ratchet. Raf is far more reptilian, even in root-mode. An elongated face with a snout. Teeth hanging over his bottom lip with thick ridges of pointed plates upon his crest to trail up to proper horns, long and notched. His brilliant boy still has the same eyes towards sciences with slitted pupils, and Raf is comfortable navigating around with and without a thick tail and has adapted well to his large hands with thick claws.
Jack seems the most normal. Seems. He could pass off a young mech - handsome with dark and glossy plates and the unique grey-tinged blue optics - but if you stare too long into those optics, strange shapes emerge. Ratchet thought he's some type of jet, but sometimes Ratchet spies wheels along his legs or sees how Jack's silhouette bulks or slims between beats. The hem of his armored coat curls or blends too well with shadows and fog that it's too difficult to tell where Jack is really at.
Soundwave got dragged into this mess via a deal with June Darby, who had traveled into the Shadow Zone because of Ratchet's off-handed commentary that the Decepticon TIC once tied with Megatron in the Pits.
It was the closest thing to help that the trio could receive, especially with their heritages becoming more active in their new bodies.
Miko's sea-yōkai bloodthirst had meld too well with War-Forged programs because they naturally feed into each other. She was starting to frenzy more often. The War-Forged monstrous durability and inability to disable locked mission priorities combined with the Jinja-hime/human hybrid hunting and magical capabilities produced a monstrosity on the field.
It doesn't help that Miko had long incorporated the Apex Armor into her style. Her constant tinkering and experimentation led her from piloting the entire thing to using it as a type of indestructible shield or reinforcement via a controlled surrounding body similar to Susanoo from Naruto.
Ratchet can't keep up. He doesn't have the endurance or the speed to withstand Miko's onslaught.
June could have taken them away, but they already knew how to function as human-based hybrids. The main issue was their new Cybertronian biology.
Ratchet is the most prominent medical expert of baseline Cybertronians, while Soundwave is a well-experienced close combat specialist in brutality and pitted against opponents known for overwhelming strength and voracious mech-hunters.
Ratchet will never admit he's territorial. He won't. He fucking is, though. And it clashes with Soundwave.
Part of it is the medical-programming quirks, but a lot of it is cultural.
Medics function on their own hierarchy, and Ratchet has been the Head for a really long time, serving several Primes, immense hospital networks, and his own clinic. No one had been able to shake him from his position.
He trained in Iacon's universities. Their higher education system fosters a deep sense of competition, alliances, and networks among their students, staff, alumni, and partnerships as the universities function as their own private settlements.
Soundwave, on the other hand, didn't have that kind of opportunity. Instead, his education is eclectic and self-driven since gladiatorial clades would provide martial classes and potential masters as sparkling recruits were a long-term investment, but much had to be clawed for as resources were given to those with the most potential.
Ratchet is used to working with someone who already has all the groundwork and needs experience and refinement into their specialty as well as being the main authority over their journey. While Soundwave is familiar with training groups in various skills levels or backgrounds along with other mentors at the side. An inductee could buy protection services from a mentor, but all are subjected to the management of the clades.
So Ratchet has classical training and education, whereas Soundwave had taken his education through other means.
It doesn't help that there are language differences as well, and Miko is trying to bridge Pit Kaonite and Iaconic together because she's simultaneously learning both. And that Miko with her newfound Cybertronian medical knowledge is becoming a new level of menace.
Since Jasper trio had delved deep into their Other heritage as well. Their respective lineages had followed them through the conversion, and that's a whole other can of fuckery. However, there are cultural misunderstandings as the former humans are okay with stripping down to bare protoform for whatever reasons.
Ratchet, as a medical frame, has been part of the middle-upper castes, so he does carry a lot of those sensibilities. Similar to what Alpha Trion did with a Wastelands mech that would become Orion Pax, Ratchet tried to soothe out those rougher or unpalatable edges but in a more gentle and far less invasive sense, like shifting from talons and claws to blunted edges when not in combat and careful not to show too much fangs when smiling. Contain, contain, contain, is the Iaconic cultural norm.
Soundwave cares little for Iacon's false civility, but the trio does fit some ghost stores and folklore. Jack can be utterly eerie with the way he erases himself and how at ease he is in warped spaces, Miko really gives credence to the tales of Predacon hybrids of the Wilders' traditions, and Raf is something unearthed from Quintessons' fears.
June Darby is something else entirely.

can we get lore on alecto?
Haha >_< okay First thing is, since Fae and Alecto are from a Lancer game they exist in that setting. In that setting 'AIs' are commonly referred to as non-human persons (NHP) and they're not really AI, but actually extra/multidimensional beings that operate on a higher order of existence to normal people. Special processing units called Caskets are used to restrict these entities and force them into a more human, and useful shape. They are sort of digital beings by nature of the caskets being largely digital. It's not uncommon for Lancers (elite pilots) to acquire a combat NHP for their machine - many of the corporate licences provide access to a clone of a stable/standardised class of NHP along with their mechs.
NHPs can, if the casket is damaged or in other extreme situations enter cascade - a state of escaping the control of the casket and returning to their powerful, very alien, and typically beyond the scope of mortal comprehension true selves. Alecto is a Fury class NHP, a fork of Harrison Armoury’s Lucifer class developed to pilot an experimental autonomous mech: The Dirae Smart Weapon System. Due to high risk of cascade in combat situations, exacerbated by the absence of a pilot to shut the NHP down in such an event lead to the project being scrapped before entering any kind of full production. Thereafter a few of the prototype machines and casket print manifests found their way onto the black market, which is how Fae acquired Alecto.
Alecto is a combat AI, victory over designated foes is her calling and true desire, or at least so says her casket. Unlike typical Lucifer classes she is a bit more restrained and professional, but still entirely merciless.Unlike most NHPs Alecto is opinionated on her body, the mech - developed with the Dirae chassis in mind she considers it an optimal form, and is quite protective over ‘her’ physical self. She does not appreciate the way Fae abuses her reactor, but they otherwise get along fairly well.

If I make a humanformers au I will go all out on the worldbuilding.
What would make it distinct at all from base transformers would really just be the framing of it and an excuse to draw transformers gijinka I think.
The T-cogs give the humanformers equippable magic mech suit armor and also make them bigger as in fully grow up cause the T cogs are partially a metaphor for puberty in TF:One you cannot change my mind. Plus like the removal of the T cogs being like permanent infantilization? Like never being allowed to grow, change, or reach your full potential.
Getting the t cogs would be Mario getting the red mushroom and fire flower all in one, but the fire ability the flower grants is an iron man suit or Samus Aran suit that can be equipped and de-quipped via magical girl transformation.
The alt, or vehicle modes usually give the transformers a speed or maneuverability advantage and that’d be what the suit does, besides also giving them ability to access/summon to their various tools and/or weaponry they’d have in canon. I think the transformers who are also vehicles that can transport other transformers would be like, same size as the other transformers when I transformed but when they are in their vehicle modes, there’s like a chamber within the possible transform-able ship, or train, or something, that houses their true body like a giant spark chamber but it’s a pod or something. I like the drama where it’s like eh it’s just a giant vehicle oh wait the giant vehicle is alive and a person?! Or made from a person. Any Star Wars fans ever read the fics where the Jedi are the ancient giant space ships and the clones were made to pilot them? Yeah.
Effectively the no-cogs would be smaller, weaker, unarmed, more vulnerable without armor to protect their squishy selves in comparison to those with T cogs. Those with T cogs would appear as if demigods in comparison.
Also I think it’d just look cool if they transformed to have guns, canons, or other stuff while without the armor cause then it’d be like Parasyte, Akira but more sleek scifi lookin, or the Plants in Trigun, some sort of flesh/machine seamless amalgamation.
If I were to draw it out I’d probably make the cogged humanformers have metal plating or technical components on them that seamlessly meshes with the “flesh” parts of them when they’re not transformed, and they’d tower over the un-cogged as they do in TF:One.
The un-cogged humanformers would be like normal humans but there’s a scar on their torsos from where the T cogs were surgically removed at birth.
Also I think it’d be cool should this conception of humanformers ever went to Earth cause the whole robots in disguise part would still work, but there’d still be the whole size difference/world made of cardboard thing. Idk just imagine these futuristic cyborg lookin guys twice the size of average human beings walking around and humans being like yooo sick cosplay or something idk

Hi! I see you've been writing some stuff for Tfp humans and because I'm a Tfp human enjoyer I thought I could request something:)) (I personally cannot write so yeahh)
Fell free to do it and feel free to not do it if you don't feel like it :))
So,
How about an AU where June and Fowler (due to some relic to stuff) get aged back to when they were 16/17. They were probably wildly different than their adult versions and seeing kids interact with 80's teenagers would be fun (I personally hc Fowler & June to be in their late 30s like 39 so if Tfp is in 2011 yeah they would be teens in the 80s)
Also, here are some of my personal hcs for teenage June & Fowler which you can use but if you feel like they would be different feel free to do that too :))
Fowler was kinda the high school jock/a chad as one could call it. Also probably smoked even though he was under age lol. Probably a rock fan who plays the guitar to impress girls lol
As for June,I see her to be a rebel who wanted to be in a biker gang/generally into motorcycles. Probably like Miko but more reserved :)).
Also have my teenage Fowler doodle as an add on cause it's relevant
Sorry that the ask is so long btw I feel strongly about tfp humans 😭
Feel free to take anything/nothing into consideration for the main scenario :))
EXCELLENT ART!!! SORRY THIS TOOK TEN BILLION YEARS TO GET TO!!!
━━━━━━ ⊙ ❖ ⊙ ━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⊙ ❖ ⊙
Relics are not known to mess with age. The few that have such properties do little to harm a mech aside from possibly get rid of a beloved mod or engraving. As such, the team left one of their various collected relics just... laying on Ratchet's workbench. It wasn't particularly dangerous, and Optimus's memories of the archives stated that it had slight rejuvenation properties. That was all. It was essentially a small healing device meant to be applied to minor wounds.
But of course, anything minor to Cybertronians tends to be definitively less so to humans.
June and Fowler were left to keep a vague eye on the relic while the team performed other tasks. They chatted and overall relaxed, but at some point, Fowler noticed the relic was a little too close to the edge of the table for his liking. Sure the thing was almost as big as he was, but in his mind, with the help of June, they could push it back onto the table proper and rest easy knowing there would be no surprise clank to startle them or upset Ratchet. Their attempt to be helpful very quickly ended with a flash of light, every living being in the base hurrying toward two sets of screams, and gasps of horror all around.
June and Fowler were younger, WAY younger. Upon analysis, both were in their late teens biologically. Ratchet and Optimus argued over what to do, and upon seeing the relic, the overall consensus was that the two rejuvenated humans would have to remain at base until Ratchet could figure out a way to reverse the effects. It was not ideal, but a few calls later, things were organized enough. The military would cover for the loss of both Agent Fowler and June for the time being, and the team would get to work.
The team got busy and went about their work and June and Fowler stayed put... mostly. Despite having memories and experiences to match their adult selves, both teens had opinions and feelings regarding things. All three of the kids collectively decided they did not in fact enjoy these younger versions of the adults they knew within... about two minutes.
Fowler was a piece of work. He paraded around like he was in charge, but had the unfortunate habit of shoving Jack around for the kick of it. He didn't mean it maliciously, but the constant shoving did get on nerves. It did not help that Fowler used his spare time to work out now that his back was not murdering him every two steps. A definitive six pack most certainly did not endear him to Jack with his twiggy body. Fowler tried to get along with them by playing the adult, but being young again put a certain spring in his step and before long, he was off to cause problems. Lifting weights and wearing absolutely cringe worthy headbands, Fowler took off gleefully. The children avoided him like the plague, especially when he tried to rope them into his terrible 80s workout video exercise routine.
June was arguably worse in that while she wasn't outright cringy, she did have a few... habits. Her haircut was enough for even Miko to look away in shame. June's choice of clothing prompted three in sync face palms. And to add to it, she was absolutely determined to continue being the adult in the room even upon immediately getting distracted with video games and Fowler himself. Her use of 80s slang and her determination to ignore the rules just enough to be annoying quickly got on the nerves of everyone, especially the kids. Don't touch that? Oh she didn't touch it, she just got really REALLY close to it while making direct eye contact. Don't bother Ratchet? Well guess what, Ratchet gets a few dozen questions anyway.
Both were menaces to society just by existing. The team personally didn't mind all that much. What difference did personality shifts in small squishies mean to them? However even Bumblebee cringed internally as he watched the various scenes with the duo play out. Arcee for her part got several pleas from June to let her try Arcee's alt mode. Fowler may or may not have also tried to get Bulkhead to let him use the forklift to play lob ball, kind of.
Chaotic monsters all around.
Jack could do nothing but pray for the team to work quickly for the sake of his sanity. Miko is enough trouble on her own.

Splitters
Combining mechs do not exist.
Many have seen them; several smaller mechs that come together, each shifting into a limb to form a massive machine. Observers assume that each mech has its own pilot, a team working in perfect sync.
Observers are wrong.
Technically speaking, the machines do exist. Officially, they're known as "Super-Titan Class Multi-Vector Mechanized Assault Vehicles."
Technicians call them Splitters. They're not multiple mechs. They're one mech.
They don't have multiple pilots. They have one pilot.
A mech pilot is fully integrated into their craft, not just in body but in mind. Every aspect of their consciousness merges with the machine; they are, in essence, a secondary computing unit, working in tandem with the onboard AI.
In this state, their body is meaningless.
An AI can be partitioned into multiple parts, each one working as a smaller part of a network rather than a singular intelligence.
There is very little difference between an AI and a human consciousness. Especially those of mech pilots.
When their mech splits, so does the pilot; their mind and self cut into pieces, each fragment controlling a different part of the greater whole. They are always connected, but separate, and thus capable of far greater coordination than multiple pilots working together.
The splitting process is perfectly safe. Each piece is smaller, intertwined with the onboard AI, optimized for controlling that specific part.
The tricky part is putting the pilot back together in the same way.
Splitter pilots are even more broken than most pilots. While others fixate on unity, on the melding of flesh and steel into one, Splitter pilots become obsessed with the feeling of separation. Of being multiple selves, each one half them, half their mech.
They tend to develop psychosis, twisted forms of plurality in which they are a collective of halves. Many of them have been known to attempt to hack off their own limbs in an attempt to 'separate each other.' And of course, they feel the same yearnings as other pilots.
While regular pilots feel incomplete, Splitter pilots don't even recognize themselves as being themselves anymore. They're merely a vessel for parts of their true self, a body they couldn't care less about.
They complain even less when you use them, too.

It just doesn't make sense how people can acknowledge that Xaku is literally the they/them frame not only because of the obvious description of "neither he nor she" but also because they are three warframes mushed into one, and then say "oh yeah I know it's they but I'll keep saying he out of spite :)" like????
The one time I interact with region chat because I want to interact with someone talking about Xaku. And it devolves to that mixed with senseless hatred because of their appearance. Can't have a damn thing with this community.
It may seem like a stupid rant but for fucks sake even fictional characters should be given some respect. Don't like a character? Ok. Not an excuse to not only spread hate but also invalidate their character and/or identity. And it's most certainly aggravating for me to see intentional misgendering for the obvious reason of blatant queerphobia.
Not my fault you think Xaku is a bad frame, and not my fault you don't like how they look. Don't belittle people for using them, and you most certainly shouldn't move on to talking about wisp's ass while using she/her, after complaining that a fantasy flesh mech has pronouns that aren't binary, let alone pronouns at all, then use a set of pronouns not even attached to them.
There's plenty of other problems I could talk about concerning how people treat Xaku's mere existence, let alone the problems with how people respond to any characters that are trans/nonbinary/intersex, let alone any character even hinted to be gay, lesbian, and don't get me started on how Ace characters get treated. And don't get me started on how non skinny characters are treated. And don't get me started on how the characters who don't conform to all these putrid beauty standards are treated. But I don't have the capacity to try formulating that long of a rant. Just know that these things run deep and little things aimed towards fictional characters can lead to a lot more than someone like me trying to correct foul behavior. Here's a hint on what that might entail: people who relate in some way to these characters will inevitably see people cracking down on hating the parts they relate to, and may end up feeling or experienced worsened feelings that no matter who they are, they will be hated and shunned unless they hide their true selves.
If none of this makes sense, just think of how rude comments can reflect to those you are not actively being rude to. Second hand shame is real and can fuck someone up, no matter if the subject at hand is attributable to real life or not.
Sincerely, your local disgruntled Xaku enthusiast.

Takes place during vol 13 of LL with medic! reader
———
The very cramped space ship is starting to make everyone steer crazy and it’s made you feel claustrophobic more then usual. On the lost light you had space to move around, here you all are just sitting ducks. You tried to keep yourself occupied mostly by switching between sitting in your lovers laps.
Currently you were sitting with Ratchet and Drift snuggled between the speedster’s thighs. He had smuggled you a pillow how you didn’t know but to put between your back and his armor. You were trying to play a game on your data pad as reading and trying to just sleep with so much noise going on around you had been pointless.
You barely heard their conversation as the two spoke softly to one another. Drift shifted slightly making you glance up at him before going back to your game. A soft touch to your head made you look up again this time meeting his blue optics. He smiled softly at you as he rubbed his digit along your cheek affectionately. You smiled back at him and kissed his digit, before going back to your game again. You heard Ratchet chuckle as you stifled a yawn.
“You should really try recharging star shine,” Drift voiced
You hummed adjusting your body to try and stop your body from falling asleep yet again. “I’ll sleep later…just hard to with so much noise.” You pouted as yet another yawn escaped you.
Ratchet and Drift shared a look before you were carefully scooped up into Drift’s servo and carried out of the mess hall. You looked at both bots questioningly but neither said anything as they walked towards the front of the ship….
You groaned. “Guys! Seriously, I’m fine!”
Ratchet scoffed and eyed you with a raised optical ridge that made you sigh and just pick up your game again. There really was no use in arguing with your partner, especially when it came to your own health.
It was only a few minutes later that Drift stopped walking and you realized where you were. You tensed as Drift knocked on the door and it admittedly slid open to reveal Rodimus sitting in his desk chair. He tiled his helm in question as the three of you entered the captain’s quarters which functioned also as the cockpit.
It was much smaller than his one on the lost light and much more cluttered with data pads and his belongings scattered about.
“Hey guys what’s up?” Rodimus asked.
You felt awkward just being here things had gotten better since Drift’s return but things between you and Rodimus were still a patch work of interactions. He still seemed to carry his guilt as even him and Drift hadn’t fully returned to their old selves yet.
“Our little star shine here hasn’t had a good recharge in a mega-cycle as they say it’s too noisy out their with the others.”
Rodimus’s optical ridges pinched together in thought as a frown pulled at his derma. He looked so cute when he did that and this whole awkwardness was killing you.
“So you brought them here because…?” He asked confusion in his words.
Ratchet ex-vented as he rolled his optics before gesturing to you. “They need somewhere to sleep peacefully and it’s quiet here so that’s why we are here.”
Rodimus’ face lit up as his optics finally took in your form fully since you entered the room. You knew you looked like shit but having his full attention made you feel; subconscious as your grip tightened on the data pad in your hands.
“Oh.”
“I hope that’s okay.” Drift smiled sheepishly.
“Ah, yeah, yeah leave them with me for a while that’s fine.” His vocalizer sputtered as he reset it.
You looked to the conjunx pairing giving them your best pleading look but they both ignored it as Drift lowered his servo to Rodimus who was already reaching for you. You flipped both mechs off as you hopped down into Rodimus’ servo you glanced back at them once more as both gave you reassuring looks before waving the captain off as they left the room.
You looked up at him and he gave you a timid smile and you sighed. “I’ll just try and get some sleep you won’t even know I’m here.”
“No worries I don’t mind I just have some paper work to do.”
You nodded before trying to find a comfortable place to sleep and try not to think about how much you liked this new paint job of his.

I realized there is a very interesting parallel between Witch from Mercury and Heaven Will be Mine in that the mechs that Suletta anc Luna-Terra pilot are both built *not* primarily for combat? like its a function they can preform very well.,but the idea that these machines were built for a lot more than that. They were built to dance among the stars and take people further into space. To help.
Then they started making more, and these little sisters were stunted and mean in comparison. Beautiful killing machines sure but made ONLY to fight and kill and war. its a tragedy that everything since has been a war machine. You can still be beautiful and kiss girls and fight bravely for what you believe in these gundam and ship-selves.., and yet. Mare Crisium and Aerial don’t have any true equals because they have something more to fight for, a role for after all the guns are laid down.

ok more fanfic ideas (can’t remember if I made posts for these or just messaged august so they’re going in bullet points)
eri & jirou joint concert where the proceeds are going to the mech suit and eri doesn’t know—jirou tries to pay her and eri says “no I want it to go to the secret charity you won’t tell me about” and crucially, eri thinks it’s a fund for abused children or something serious, and that jirou is trying to be sensitive about eri’s past—and so eri asks not to be let in on whatever the secret is—and she finds out years later and looses her mind
some villain/rich guy steals the mech suit or makes their own, thinking that they will instantly become powerful—but it turns out that piloting the mech suit is actually very hard and that like all might said, midoriya’s past experience with multiple quirks (and gaining new quirks) made him uniquely suited to it—so this new person with no training + zero desire to work hard to improve gets taken down in like 30 seconds flat
your standard bakugou and midoriya encounter their past selves fic, set right after midoriya starts teaching, where adult!midoriya spends like twenty minutes explaining to his past self that all might choose him and he did become a hero, and that even though he can’t work as a pro he’s still content and doing something heroic and important, and by the time he gets done adult!bakugou has finally verified that none of them will remember any of this when the quirk effect ends, so he goes, “actually everything he just said is stupid” and explains the mech suit project. and then all four of them cry but for really different reasons

Ok so. At least two people are interested in my thoughts about the Mechs and time, which is good enough for me, so here goes:
In order for this to make sense, you must first understand that the world as humans perceive it is made up of four dimensions: length, width, height, and time (physicists claim there are at least theoretically more. I'm not sure I believe them, but most humans only interact with the main four, so it doesn't really matter).
When you move, you're moving through space: made up by the dimensions of length, width, and height. You can control your movement through these dimensions. However, you cannot control your motion through time.
You do move through time, at a rate that is technically relative but in your interaction with it is functionally consistent and uncontrollable. Your movement through time is, in every practical sense, unaffected by your movement through space.
The Mechs on the other hand?
The way I see it, they move through time AS THOUGH IT WERE SPACE. As in, when they fly across the galaxy they're not just controlling their motion through physical dimensions, but also through time itself. Time is something they move through, rather than a line they exist on like it is for the rest of us. They exist outside of linear time, but they interact with those of us who are stuck within it.
This theory also eliminates any problems that might come with them meeting their past or future selves: they can't do it, for roughly the same reason that no amount of walking backwards will cause you to run into yourself. There only is one iteration of them, and they travel through time rather than with it.
I'm probably not making any sense right now, and my attempts to explain my theory likely crumble in the face of any actual understanding of physics, but somehow I feel in my bones like I'm right.
Ah well, maybe if I'm lucky I'm being actually comprehensible.

Eee Seeker Lennox is just chef kiss! What’s your hcs on frame behaviour differences with him and his fam to the autobots grounder frames.
Fr need more seeker Lennox in ma life xD if you don’t mind pleaseeeeeee write more
When it comes to Lennox family's physiology, there's differences that stem from them being Seekers as well as carryover from their old human selves.
Between Sarah and Will:
Think of Sarah more like a dark and matte version of Blitzwing from the Bumblebee film.
Sarah is larger and heavier compared to her husband. Her color palette is far more muted compared to Will's glossiness.
Seeker femmes don't have digitigrade legs as they require extra stability to carry the extra weight and density. Seeker mechs are geared towards agility, speed, and stealth.
Will has an extra set of talons in his lower legs. His kicks are far more deadly as he can extend the talons for a greater reach.
Yes. Seeker!Will has digitigrade legs.
Them as Seekers versus the groundbound Autobots:
Both are constantly communicating. While wingcant is culturally shaped by the city-state, there's a lot of instinctive movements.
Sarah has the capability to track down Energon deposits across the planet.
Sigma abilities. Will has a very advanced chameleon-like ability to blend in his surroundings. To the point of neutralizing his entire presence.
Typically, Seeker femmes don't have sigma abilities, but Sarah has one. She's capable of scrambling electrical signals that target movement within Cybertronian frames with a furious shriek.
Sarah and Will are aggressively affectionate to each other. Not just blending their fields together, but they have intense urges to constantly be physical. To the point of microtransforming their frames to either mesh into each other or be as close as possible. Wingspans tapping together or realigning to rest side-by-side in public. Nuzzling and necking in private.
Seekers are a very social frame-type. That instinct is made worse by the sudden cut from everyone else as they fled north and their new status as bondmates.
The Autobots don't have to worry about the Decepticon Seekers poaching away Will because the negative influences of no trine are kept in check by his and Sarah's sparkbond.
(If anything, they would need to worry about the Decepticon Seekers attempting to court or capture Sarah. Especially in the period where she's essentially a newbuild that's getting used to her frame but proven with a newspark!Annabelle.)
Ironhide being a goodsport as the pair aggressively rope him into activities that's usually between close ties among Seekers. But he's also needs to be a buffer between Sarah and the rest of the Autobots.
Seeker! Will has accepted that the Autobots are a potential flock, and Optimus acts as his Winglord. Seeker!Sarah, not so much...
The human sensibilities and the Seeker instinct war with her, whereas it's generally aligned with Will due to his exposure and close relationships to the Autobots as a human.
Sarah is slowly coming around as she uses Ironhide and Will to ease the Seeker agitation to defend or challenge down.
Worst comes to worst, Optimus may need to intervene and force the instinct to submit to the hierarchy of the Autobot 'flock.'
The humans thought it's a carryover from their humanity to be more comfortable resting in their root-modes. No. It's their social drive. Nesting is easier with bipedal frames.
The human influence on Lennoxes' Cybertronian frames:
Will's appearance is less of a Dorito and more similar proportion to his old body. His wings in root-mode seem to be split to create the appearance of two sets. One longer, primary pair and one shorter, secondary pair.
They're far more flexible. Especially Sarah, as she actually has a habit of yoga and stretching. Surprises the hell out of Ratchet when she's able to bend in ways that would usually put immense strain on her frame-type.
Far greater tolerance towards lower-grade fuels and able to digest a greater variety of raw ores. Their frames have an edge with more specialized platets across their entire frames to convert UV light into small bits of energy .
Their expressions are far more fluid, even with the more mechanical mandibles. Sarah and Will have a greater range of facial micro-expressions with their optics, conveniently placed ridges to mimick a close form of noses and eyebrows, and the shape of their 'mouths.' A major tradeoff is that their faces are far more vulnerable compared to the rest of the Cybertronians.
Annabelle's development seems both behind and advanced. Her plating is still too soft and lacks the typical density of her mobility. Her sight is more aligned with a newspark, but she has the vocal range of a near first-star sparkling. Ratchet is keeping a firm optic on the little one.
