The sims 2 is so funny because you can do everything right, you can make your sims study cooking and go to work on time and micromanage everybody so that they don’t die in stupid ways, and then the goddamn nanny burns your house down

#AN NPC CAUSED THE FIRST FIRE IN MY NEW NEIGHBOURHOOD I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS #so i’m playing the prosperity challenge right. which is basically where you randomise some families and play them in rotations #i’m on the third family atm and it’s a single mom with a teenage son; child daughter and twin toddler boys #she has an ltw to become media magnate but i got her a job as an EMT in the meantime because it didn’t show up in the paper #and hired a nanny to take care of the kids while she and the oldest son were out #nanny was fine at first. she just made sugar cookies and made sure the toddlers didn’t get taken away by social services which i massively #appreciated. but then my sim came home from work and immediately got a promotion #to paramedic; which meant she had to switch over to nights right away. so the nanny came again a few hours later and immediately proceeded #to set my kitchen on fire #thankfully they have a smoke alarm but she sent the two older kids into aspiration failure. SHERYL WHEN I CATCH YOUUUU #bizarrely the person who is absolutely coming in clutch for this family is none of the family members and nor is it the nanny #it’s gerald who is the grandpa of a different family i created in the neighbourhood. he works with the mom (although he’s an intern now)#and she brought him home from work and he has just been here all night #it’s 4:20am and he’s sat playing with one of the toddlers helping him learn words with his bunny 🥹#gerald we looooove you. platinum aspiration for gerald. GOOD THINGS FOR GERALD #the most annoying people in this challenge so far are sheryl the nanny who burns stuff down and jackson; a kid in one of the other houses #who keeps calling everyone at 2am even if he barely knows them. and also at 10am on school days #jackson’s mom also irritates me because she came to pick her daughter up who was just playing chess on a porch at 8pm; bothering nobody #but doesn’t stop jackson from spamming everyone with calls. where is the logic #personal

I don’t care what all those fluffy fics about Logan waking Wade up with pancakes say, that man cannot cook. I don’t think he ever really had a house, just kept moving from hotel to hotel, or spending the night in the woods with some bear. Sure he can gut and clean a fish no problem, but pancakes?? He will burn the house down. This man would set the stove on fire because he didn’t know you needed water in with spaghetti noodles. Campfire cooking only.

Said husband walks in with Hotch's lunch, and when Hotch speaks to him, it's like a cliche in a movie - his eyes soften, and he smiles; yes, Hotch smiles, but like this, smile is soft and small. Also, flustered Hotch? Love it, personally, I like the idea that his ears go red first and he has to cover them for a while after you've left.

Instead of talking about our usual stuff my therapist and I discussed Dropout.tv... basically it went like this: I mentioned that my workplace had a fire so I was working from home since Wednesday and go back tomorrow (small fire on the floor above me and no one was injured or even present- and our new fire alarms worked so go us for finally getting those put in) We discussed how much money this school gets and how it's unbelievable there weren't fire alarms just a few years prior! And then we transitioned into what I've been doing beyond work since it's summer (I'm a grad student so summers are structured differently for me).

We started off by talking about what I've been watching so I talked about NSBU and we talked about Brennan Lee Mulligan and from him about the entire sphere of DnD that exists and how many of the people overlap (the McElroys, Critical Role, & D20 highlighted). She mentioned that she knew of a season of D20 that Hank Green was in so we talked Mentopolis and she also mentioned that she had heard that Brennan knew a lot of bird facts so I told her the lore of where that started. Then we discussed Breaking News as a concept and the fact thay not many streaming services or media in general is willing to have fun and I've successfully gotten her to agree to waych Mentopolis- she wrote it down!!- and look at the stuff Dropout has on YT.

Next I'll try to get her to get a subscription!

#over half the session was just us talking about dropout and how great it is #she loves how nerdy it seems to be and I need her to watch Mentopolis so I can talk about it because not spoiling it was tough #because I want to tell her everything I adore about it and talk about it for hours and discuss the ideas it gives me about how brains work #dropout #she's seen the first season of Fantasy High and loves Ally Beardsley #do I regret it now that just an hour later guy in my apartment set off the fire alarm 9 times in 30 minutes and I cried until a headache hit #absolutely not... I'm now thinking about dropout AND how I'm not going into the kitchen until I move out in two days #and I'm drinking water!

I literally just wanted to listen to the song.

It sounds like it should be the end credit after you finish the main story and made it through an arduous journey, and now everyone is going to live happily ever after. This would be playing during an epilogue as it shows scenes of every single character going about their normal daily life. As the song ends, it will pan to the main characters, implying that this is just the beginning of the next stage of their lives.
