Okay so today we had our thanksgiving meal (because pizza is on fridays, and half the school is out for the days we're here next week) and oh my god we were so busy but had so much fun

here is a readmore because LMAO I have so many stories, I love these kiddos I love my job HERE YOU GO

We did bubbles outside in the morning, I recently got a bubble wand you can just wave, which I'm allowed to use with covid regulations (no air from my lungs!!! also I'm masked The Entire Day so like) and they are SO excited to play with bubbles now

I bring out the bubble wand and their tiny faces go :D and we have a good several minutes there running around and grabbing them as they blow around! Also one of the children has decided to try biting the bubbles to pop them lmaooooo

uhmmmmm oh the newest kid has finally learned how to sit down before he tries to go down the slide!!! good for him!!!!! I did, however, see the next youngest kid who is an Expert Slide Goer, like, she is ready she just sits and zooms and cackles madly- anyways today she was in a skirt and omfg her legs caught and I DID see her tumble end over end at the base of the tall slide, WHOOPS gonna hafta keep an eye out for her on that one!!!

OH, this same child, who- this girl is tiny, barely two feet tall, and her hair in a perfectly upright ponytail at the top of her head, and the chubbiest little cheeks you ever did see, and she has a specific cackle she does when she knows she's being naughty lmao (I have cared for this kid since she was six weeks old, and now she's like.... idk 15 months? it's been a while and I love her haha)

okay so this same child JUST TODAY figured out how to give her classmates hugs

please picture two babies with the chubbiest cheeks carefully leaning forward to clumsily place their arms around each other like an awkward middle school dance, then they step back and grin, and then I have to walk them all through taking turns hugging each other (Gentle!!! I remind them, Gentle like with the plants!!! should I go get the plants???? and then I go get one of the little houseplants we have and then we carefully pet the leaves like some sort of weird cat and I say 'gentle gentle gentle' over and over so they learn the concept of being gentle) and then they decide they also want to hug me so here I am on my knees getting snot on my shirt being hugged by grinning toddlers who all want to hug me at the same time and okay, these are the things that make my job worth it

They ALSO have figured out how to dance with each other!!!! I will literally just put on music, and I will turn around and they will have self organized into little handholding pairs, and they will grab each others hands and gently sway and shuffle and bop. One thing people don't often know about kiddos is that babies can dance before they can walk!!! kids love music!!!!!!!! so these kids really love doing this together, and sometimes I'll come over and they'll hold my hand and we'll get into a larger circle and wiggle back and forth. I have one girl, who if I'm the one holding her hands, loves to jump up as high as she can and let me catch her from falling, so I'll lift her a little extra high while she does it, and she grins so big while we do it :) (she is also good about NOT trying this on her classmates, which would go much less well hahaha)

They are also really into the baby dolls lately!!! they take the babies, and wrap them in our tiny dishtowels, and then grip them in their chubby little arms and sway back and forth while I sing rockabye baby. Sometimes they lay the baby down in the bed, and carefully tuck the towel in around them. Today I started singing, and the youngest kid picked up the babydoll..... and then just started spinning himself entirely around in circles!!!!!!! kid lmao what are you doing xD xD xD

We also brought out spoons and bowls to pretend with, and the pretend to mix stuff up and feed it to the baby dolls and omfg the babies are taking care of babies it's so sweet

on the OTHER hand, I was singing rockabye baby for a kid rocking a babydoll at the end of the day, and his mom showed up at the door, and when he saw her he just YEET dropped it right on the floor and sprinted over lmaoooooo this is why we don't hand them real babies xD

OH RIGHT YES, so today was our thanksgiving thing so for one of our activities today, I prepared a book of our family pictures! We have a soft fabric book with plastic slots to put pictures in, so I made color copies of all the pictures on our photo wall (having family pictures is important to kids!!! pointing gives them a way to talk about their family if they don't know many words yet and is a great way to help them calm down if they're feeling frustrated! also lowkey I think it may be legally required actually???) So I made this book for thanksgiving, because we are NOT talking about the pilgrims, this is a holiday about just food and family thank you good night lmao

And, there was a girl today who had a bit of a rough drop off, because her mom just left for a trip and that's rough for a 1 year old. So I bring her this book and we find her page and she's pointing at her mom and dad and brother and for the entire rest of the day, she just kept going back to that book and bringing it to me to show me her family, and just sitting down and flipping through it and I think it really helped her today :')

okay ALSO, the actual youngest child, because I have just remembered that the child I have been calling the youngest child has since been supplanted by a new kid fresh from the baby room hahaha

so she doesn't have many teeth yet at all.... but today, when we brought out the turkey sandwiches everyone had for our meal, she grabs it like that baby discovering an ice cream cone for the first time and SHOVES IT IN HER FACE WITH GLEE, idk what about this sandwich resonated for her but oh my god she ATE IT ALL DOWN...... then she leaned over and tried to grab her classmate's sandwich off his plate xD xD xD

Okay, I have infinitely more stories where this came from (we used our climbing blocks to build an archway to crawl through! a big hit!! we used our toys to play five little monkeys! the politely signed 'more' and made me sing the baby bumblebee song FOUR TIMES IN A ROW and participated with rapt attention each time!!!!) but this is super long already so I hope these are some good baby stories for you!!!!

This lil guide is mostly for @sugarboyuto​, but honestly this is for anybody who wants to get into Seventeen. They’re definitely not slept on, but there are a lot of people who are wary of a lot of members, so hopefully this makes it a lil easier.

Intro is hella soulful don’t tell me I’m about to cry ALREADY guys… okay that bass in the bg is thicccc and I’m living for it OOF AND THEN THE CHORUS HITS AND THOSE DRUMS BITCH THIS SONG IS SO GOOD ON JUST THE FIRST LISTEN Y’ALL AHHHHH and then that TRANSITION from chorus to second verse my mans ashton did not disappoint !! Guys I’m really feeling this song holy shit it’s so good. Bitch this RED in the bridge is rly TEASING ME like bitch KEEP GOING!!!!!!!!!! Low key this song sounds like it’s 90% saying “red desert” over and over but I’m not complaining issa bop and a half !!! No Shame - I’ve liked this song since the very first time I heard it it’s actually such a bop. I can’t wait to drive around with this song blasting in my car. Old Me - I wasn’t a huge fan of this song the first time I heard it and genuinely didn’t think it’d grow on me AT ALL, but even after the second listen I really liked it, and I’ve really come to appreciate, like, the fan service message behind it? And that music video just made me love it more. The thing I didn’t like initially and still am not a huge fan of is how autotune-y the song sounds. I know everyone uses autotune, but imo it’s way too noticeable in the song to the point where it sounds a little unpleasant once you catch it. Rating: 8/10

Lover of Mine - Okay acoustic song of the album icu icu “Butterfly lies chase them away” interesting I like that  “dance around the living room” 👀 oof this pre-chorus is really good I’m such a slut for good prechoruses !! Luke’s voice sounds so soothing and smooth but the drums in the background in the second half are a little? Much? I don’t know maybe they’ll grow on me… I really like the lyrics of this song, I didn’t focus completely on everything but,, dare I say,,,, it might be some of their strongest writing yet??!? Omg I love love love these instrumentals near the end esp the piano sounds so beautiful and kind of reminded me of the interlude after San Francisco. Overall I think this song was honestly very beautiful. Rating: 8/10

Thin White Lies - more bass yessss it sounds so good,, are these lyrics about depression? Ehhh not feeling this chorus at all, too much going on and it’s just not a bop and that’s my only criteria for liking songs lmaoo. This song is giving me Empty Wallets + Babylon vibes kind of? Which isn’t rly my favorite vibe in songs tbh it’s just not for me, I don’t think it’s a bad song, though. “I don’t really like me anymore” :((((( mood Rating: 6/10

Lonely Heart - That one two three was so hot ngl,,, ANOTHER acoustic song?? Okay okay interesting. WOAH WHEN THEY CAME IN together god I love that and this OH OH OH part sooo catchy yesss okay also smth I’ve noticed 5sos doing a lot: quiet beginning (or quiet verses) and loud/bop-y choruses… that’s like half the album look me in the eyes and tell me I’m wrong !! It’s the equivalent of YB being mostly normal guitar verses and then instrumental pre-choruses lmao at least this I like a lot more WOAH THAT BRIDGE???????? WHO IS SINGING THAT IS THAT MICHAEL? I literally don’t recognize whose voice that is has it been that long since I heard his voice am I tripping?? But either way that was really cool. The song overall was pretty? Plain but not at all bad and it’ll definitely grow on me with more listens. Rating: 7/10

High - last song im so sad ahhh oof that sound it sounded like Michael? And it was umm very ear orgasmic lmao weird to put two songs that start like that one after the other tho but whatever. Woah the way Luke sang “highly” was so angelic !!! This is very acoustic-y too, but it seems like it’s truly mostly the same vibe throughout. Oof Calum’s harmonies sound so good. I also like the background “Ah”s this song sounds very angelic and pretty. I really like the way he sings the lyrics like “I hope you think of me high… think of me highly” and the part after that kind of mirrors that line. Not a huge fan of the lyric saying your friends just want you to yourself oof friends don’t like imma be honest that line was kinda cringy lmaoo But this song was very pretty, though honestly I doubt I’ll listen to it much or remember it just cause slow songs aren’t my cup of tea, but I can really appreciate the song for what it is and it was enjoyable to listen to. Rating: 8/10

Unrelated: I like that the album isn’t crazy long like every other album of theirs. I much prefer concentrating on 12 great songs than making 16-20 and then inevitably them hating/ignoring a few of them cause they’re like,, way worse than the rest of the album

I liked a lot of the songs and I’m sure I’ll like them even more with more listens, but the only ones I really LOVED were Red Desert and No Shame. I’m just at home with my family. Luckily none of us here,or any of the rest of my family, have gotten sick so we good.

What are you currently reading/watching right now?

 IVE LITERALLY BEEN KEEPING A LIST OF NEW THINGS IVE WATCHED. The list is: Train to Busan, Lost Girls, Underwater, Into the Spiderverse, Childs Play 2019, Trixie Mattel: Moving Parts, and I just recently started watching That’s So Raven from the beginning(thanks disney+). Also, I’m starting to reread The Hunger Games, 2012 me is going absolutely feral.

What are you listening to?

Many bops lol. I mean for the most part just my own playlist which I call the Infinity Playlist and there’s too much variety from that to list. I will say some frequents have been: the Birds of Prey Album, Say So by Doja Cat, D.A.N.C.E. by Justice, all 3 Descendants albums, and Enjoy the Silence by Depeche Mode.

If you can go outside, what do you like to do during this time?

Like in my backyard??? In that context, I like to draw chalk outlines around my dogs because they like to lay out and get sun. Also because it’s getting pretty hot I like to swim in my pool. Overall though I like just sitting in the sun because a sis is getting pale.

Food you’ve been craving?

Uhhh all of them. Mainly fast food which technically you can go out and get but I try not to as much. Being at home makes me want it all the time for some reason. If I could Id eat McDonalds and carne asada fries every day.

I guess what Im learning about from my bio and sociology classes. With bio the recent topic has been DNA replication and for sociology it’s been how divorce affects different types of families(this class is specifically soc of the family).

Any quarantine tips?

PLEASE STAY INSIDE!!!!! I LITERALLY CANNOT STRESS THAT ENOUGH! Take some time getting fresh air, even if it is just sitting in your backyard.  Talk to friends and family. If you don’t feel so good mentally do stuff that’ll make you feel better and take your mind off of things. For example, I’ll sometimes start overthinking stuff so I’ll just blast music to get my mind away from that dark place. Do stuff that you like and is fun; bake,sing, dance, watch movies, etc. You’re at home, might as well.

[+ bonus] What kinds of things have you bought during quarantine?

DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED. I mean for the most part the bigger expenses have been college related things so not too bad. I bought clothes, my switch and animal crossing,birthday gifts, art. Just today I bought some enamel pins from Sugarbones, her stuff is sosososoSO cute!!! Literally I get the majority of my enamel pins from her go check out her stuff!!!

a very biased review of “revolver”

hello! my name is dream. i have a lot of opinions and today im gonna review the album revolver by the beatles

*this review is VERY opinionated. all of these songs are amazing and much better than anything i will ever make. take this review with a grain of salt, as i am not a musical expert nor am i smart. i just like being a bitch

and without further ado,

Taxman: 7/10

- Fun and interesting percussions sounds

- Not a huge fan of the harmonies

- AMAZING guitar from george, big love

- slightly repetitive chorus

- cant say much on this one its not my favorite song but it has a thumbs up from me

Eleanor Rigby; 9/10

- BEAUTIFUL orchestra, i have a soft spot for violins

- Amazing lyrics,, the really make you think and get emotional

- great vocals from paul, we stan heavily appreciate

- quite a short song, i wish there was more. the story i still conveyed through the time but its only 2 minutes

- a hard bop, its popular for a good reason

Im Only Sleeping: 8/10

- Johns voice sounds kind of weird in this song ngl but i love it,, it works

- HI I LOVE THE LYRICS AND tHe CHORUS HARMONIES

- sometimes youll hear random twanges on the guitar and thats some GROOVY SHIT YALL

- i love the fake out ending and the true ending of the song, especially that sharp note john hits like i just fall apart,, and the distorted guitar MM

Love You To: 6/10

- not a huge sitar fan especially since it drags on in the beginning

- george harrison sings this one and its choice

- at the chorus the instruments can get so intense that you cant hear the lyrics clearly at some points

- that being said this instrumental is HOT AS FUCK, especially when theres sitar, bongos and electric guitar,, its sick as fuck

- the lyrics are kind of weak and george’s singing is a bit bland especially since i know he can HIT some notes and sound good

- this sort of just sounds like sitar eargsmic shit for george

- the tempo change towards the end is a lil funky at first but it works

Here, There and Everywhere: 9/10

- just so we’re clear, paul wrote this in bed with john while john was still sleeping so i dont wanna be biased that being said

- i love the lullaby sound of this song

- pauls vocals are doing it for me

- these lyrics are really cute its so nice

- the snapping is sort of weird and sometimes blips in and out but its still a nice touch

- i just,,, it makes me sob

Yellow Submarine: 5/10

- this song is overhyped

- i love ringo’s vocals and i dont think anyone else couldve done this song as well as he did, but that being said, i still dont like this song as much

- i love the drums, theyre lovely, as they always are

- the random sound effects fuck me up. the weird bells and clinking and just. ??? sounds. like a telephone and random screams ?

- the chorus is nice, even though its repetive

- at a random point in the song, somEboDy screams “HOT POTATO” and that really takes me out of the mood

- when ringo is singing someone is just SCREAMING THE LYRICS right after he does at a certain point

- this song had potential to be amazing but certain parts really fuck with it

She Said She Said: 6/10

- i like the instrumentals but theres a strange, loud bell song in the right headphone that really hurts me while i listen

- i like the lyrics. theyre good

- more vocals from john, we always love that

- certain parts can be a bit w a c k y but in general its a good song. not much to say on it

Good Day Sunshine: 9/10

- THIS IS SUCH A SWEET POSITIVE SONG

- paul is singing and its wonderful

- THE PIANO IN THIS SONG IS SO AMAZING ITS BROADWAY-ESQUE LIKE FUCK ME UPP

- ringos drumming is real good in this one

- i love the lyrics i just imagine paul skipping down the road singing this to whoever he passes by

- again,, a real short but good song

And Your Bird Can Sing; 7/10

- very moptop reminant song with a few hints of their experimentation

- its nice, i dont hAte it

- i love the guitar in this one, its very nice and reminds me of roll over beethoven

- the lyrics are good. just whatever, yknow

For No One: 7/10

- its a paul song i so automatically love it

- fr though his younger voice is so unique and pretty i love it

- the lyrics are lukewarm, they arent really standing out to me

- the brass in this song is really nice, i love brass instruments in songs

- the instrumental is nice, sometimes the key shift can sound vv nice

- put this one in your granny music playlist

Doctor Robert; 6/10

- ngl when i first heard this song i skipped it

- johns voice is nice but sometimes it goes up weirdly and is,,, mm not great

- lyrics are lukewarm, i dont mind

- paul comes in the chorus and does his “OhhH yEaHh” voice and thats always a positive

- its got a funky instrumental

- its a short song but its low so i dont really mind lmAo

I Want To Tell You: 6/10

- i like the instrumental, although it can sound a bit plain

- lyrics are, again, lukewarm.

- it has a nice beat, i can see why someone would like this song

- i dont have much to say on this song, not much really stood out to me except the contrast in the bridge. potatoe potæto.

Got To Get You Into My Life: 7/10

- this is the kind of song that when it starts playing i get up and dance, the beat is very contagious

- a paul song where im not that crazy about the singing EXCEPT FOR THE CHORUS !! HE DOES THE “oHh yEaHh” voiCe its wonderful

- drumming is wonderful, love u ringo <3

- more fuckin sitar eargasmic noises from george

- you know this was a george song bc of the indian instruments. they sound fiNe its just a bit strange juxtaposition after a song like got to get you into my life

- johns voice is fine in this one, i do harp on him for being nasally even though my voice sounds like i have a cold

- i feel like someone had a whole gallon of pot before they decided to mix this song

“You ready for this?” Harry asks, the smile on his face the biggest you’ve ever seen, “The single’s out at midnight.” 

You let him wrap his arms around you from behind, leaning his head on your shoulder. You’d be lying if you said you weren’t nervous, releasing a song featuring your big famous boyfriend that no one knows about. It started as a joke, just a regular day in the studio recording your second album when Harry, who was notoriously bored if he wasn’t helping out in some way, grabs the Stratocaster out of the corner and starts strumming a few chords. He looks over at Mitch who is still standing behind the glass and nods his head over to the drum kit, urging Mitch to hop on it. 

You couldn’t help but shake your head laughing as Mitch pushes his way through the door to the studio and all of the guys standing in front of the sound board on the other side of the glass throw their hands up in frustration. 

“Get me a four on the floor going man.” Harry grins, grabbing your acoustic guitar and handing it to you. 

“Harry, what are you-”

“A minor,” He says, cutting you off as you throw the guitar strap over your shoulder, “Stay on it for four counts, switch to D minor on the one.” 

You do as he says, positioning your fingers and strumming along, falling into the beat with Mitch while Harry readjusts the strap on his shoulder, nodding his head along to the beat before coming in strong with a very familiar riff. He’s playing Miss You by The Rolling Stones, one of your favorites. 

Mitch is shaking his head as Harry stumbles over the notes in the riff a couple of times before locking them in and getting the strumming pattern down. You look up and notice the guys behind the soundboard don’t look too enraged anymore, instead they’re smiling and the recording sign is glowing red. 

“You ready baby?” Harry smirks, nodding to the mic in front of you, “You’re in first.” 

“I’m what?” You laugh just as he nods to you and Mitch and counts you in. 

“Come on y/n, ready, and one, two, three, four!” 

The little jam session Harry had started to get your mind off the album for a couple minutes turned into a full duet cover of the song. As soon as you opened your mouth to start singing and he came in with the lower harmony, the guys in the booth were shouting for you guys to keep going. 

You had fun with it and so did he. He was dancing around the studio, bopping his head around and sharing your mic with you to sing the little adlib riffs of ‘ooh, ooh, hoo, ooh, ooh, hoo, ooh’ every time they came back around. Mitch eventually hopped on the guitar to show Harry how it’s done, playing the notes of the riff fluidly and effortlessly before adding a sick guitar solo to the end. The entire track was finished by the end of the day and your manager was almost begging you and Harry to put it out as early publicity for your album. 

This was the first time you’d ever done something together for the public. You hadn’t planned on announcing your relationship for quite some time but with the way the media is, Harry knew what the tabloids were going to say whether you two confirmed it or not. Harry wanted people to hear it from him, not some dicey article online, but you were still wary. What were his fans going to think? The first time they ever hear about you being with Harry and you’re already releasing a song featuring him. How is that going to look? They’re gonna think you’re in it for the money or the fame just like what they say about the rest of them, you’ve read enough tweets to know how they feel about the women who get linked to Harry Styles. 

“I don’t know, Harry.” You say nervously, your stomach twisting in the worst way. 

“What do you mean you don’t know?” He asks, suddenly serious as he spins you around in his arms and meets your eyes with his own, “What’s wrong?” 

“I’m just thinking about what everyone’s going to…” You sigh, letting your sentence trail off, “Never mind, don’t worry about it.”

You pull away from him to walk back to the bathroom and worry about this in solace, not wanting to drag him down with you since he seems so excited about your big debut as a couple. 

“Hey, hey, hey,” He calls, grabbing your hand and pulling you back to him, “What’s going on, love? I thought you were excited about this.” 

You want to lie and tell him that everything’s fine, but you know he’ll see right through you when he’s staring at you like that, his eyes drilling into yours. You hang your head on your shoulders, staring down at your shoes but he grabs your chin and tilts your head back up to face him. 

“Baby, I can’t fix it if you don’t tell me what’s wrong.” He murmurs, moving his hand from your chin to cup your cheek instead. 

“I just don’t know if I can do this,” You shrug weakly, “I don’t know if I can be the Harry Styles’ girlfriend.” 

“While I’m appreciative of the ego boost,” He teases, tucking your hair behind your ear, “I’m just as nervous about being the y/n y/l/n‘s boyfriend.”

You shove him off, rolling your eyes, “Don’t even, Harry.” 

“I am!” He laughs, “What if your fans hate me? I’m some old news boy band guy and you’re like the hot new shit topping the charts, you’re like a rock goddess y/n.” 

You can’t stop the heat creeping up your neck and flushing your cheeks pink. You know your face is as red as a tomato as you shake your head, trying to hide your beaming smile from him. 

“I am not,” You sigh, “You’re Harry Styles, if anyone should be worried about fans, it should be me, they’re going to tear me to shreds Harry-”

“You think?” He smirks, taking out his phone, “Let’s find out then, huh?” 

“What do you mean? What are you-”

You’re cut off as he holds up his phone and kisses your cheek just as the flash goes off. You gasp in surprise, squeezing your eyes shut and laughing as he attacks your cheek with kisses. You look over at his phone to see the picture, his puckered mouth pressed against your cheek and you laughing hysterically. It’s absolutely adorable and you can feel another blush creeping onto your cheeks when you notice his giant smile as he opens Twitter. 

“Harry.” You warn.

“Midnight. Miss You cover with my girlfriend, the one and only y/n y/l/n. All the love as always, H.” He reads along as he types, attaching the picture and hitting Tweet. 

“Harry, no! What did you-”

“Look,” He says, shoving his phone in your hands, “They’re so cute, can’t wait, she’s so pretty.” He reads, scrolling through the hundreds of replies already flooding his account.

You can’t help but laugh as you continue reading through a couple of the replies. You can feel Harry’s eyes on you, staring at you while you scroll. You finally look up to match his gaze and he smiles, taking you in his arms. 

“See?” He asks, taking his phone back and slipping it in his pocket, “I told you they were gonna love you.” 

Suddenly your phone is buzzing out of control in your pocket and you realize that your followers must have gotten wind of your new relationship status. You take out your phone and toss it onto his desk, letting it buzz away while you grab his face in your hands and pull him to you, sealing your lips to his. 

By the time midnight rolls around, the nerves have started to creep back in but for an entirely different reason. You could tell Harry was a little nervous too, he would never admit to it but you could see him picking at his bottom lip as he scrolls on his computer. 

“Five minutes.” He calls over his shoulder, his knee bouncing underneath his desk. 

You get up from the couch and pad over to him, placing your hands on his shoulders and gently massaging the skin between his shoulder blades. He sighs in relief as you do so, leaning his head back and closing his eyes. 

“They’re gonna love it Harry.” You assure him, leaning down to peck his cheek. 

“Yeah, you’re right,” He sighs, sitting back upright, “What about your fans? What do they think of me?”

“They love you Harry,” You smile, loosely draping your arms around his shoulders and leaning against his back, “Everyone’s had good things to say.” 

“What kinds of things?” He smirks, clearly fishing for compliments. 

You look over at the computer as the page refreshes and suddenly your single is live, “Harry, look!” You grin, pointing at his laptop. 

He turns around quickly and smiles, pressing play and instantly nodding his head along to the track. Your phone starts buzzing in your pocket and you take it out to see half a dozen twitter and Instagram notifications coming in. 

You start to scroll through what everyone has to say just as Harry reaches out and snatches the phone straight out of your hand. He points your phone at the small mirror on the desk you use for doing your makeup and you lean forward, reaching around him to try and grab it. He holds it further away and just before he can snap another picture of the two of you, you cover his eyes with your hands. He puts up a peace sign and takes the picture anyway. You stand up straight, looking over his shoulder to see the selfie of the two of you in the reflection of the mirror and smile. He opens your Instagram and chooses the photo, typing a quick caption and pressing share. He turns around and hands your phone back to you with a big cheeky grin on his face. 

“What are you up to now, Styles?” You laugh, looking at your most recent post.

THE SONG aiight so i had to watch their other music videos to see some consistency and from what i could point out is it starts relatively slow in the beginning and then HITS YOU with a build up a beat drop and dancing which I LIKED it gets the curiosity going yknow!!!!!!! i REALLY liked the pre-chorus part LIKE YUJUS PART?????? AND IT BUILDS UP?????? bich...........

the chorus got me swaying from side to side and thank the lord the music doesnt hit you in the face and dig deep into your eardrums and it just feels positive???? like the energy???? it was soothing to me and it has that summer and tropical feeling BUT its more of the relaxing side of summer

my first exo concert!

just gonna detail my experience going to my first exo concert as a 1.5-year-old exol. this is the Singapore 190915 EXplOration concert, missing ksoo (my crown prince) and xiu (my second prince). (p.s. jun is my third prince so that’s why i bought his fan ---- my face when i realised i unknowingly stanned exo’s enlistment line after ksoo dropped the bomb on us: 😊🔫)

and still missing lay, of course (*rolls eyes at china*). it was a blast but i didn’t die too hard, probably because it’s just 6 of them haha. my throat still died from screaming so hard though.

in my rambling i shall cover details of the merch in the picture, and comments (babbling) on each member.

to my great fortune, i was seated in the middle of a middle block facing the stage. i didn’t want to attend the concert in the standing pen area because i prefer observing the group as a whole to being up and close with them but missing out on all the dance formations. i’m here forking over S$302 for a concert where i can’t see ksoo or xiu so... anyway even if they were here i would still prefer to sit and watch the full performance.

the black banner (which i still can’t read) was laid on every seat, and overleaf, exols were asked to hold this banner up during their ending ment. the community is really cute.

the eribong v.3 is pretty when lit up (more later). it came with the bottom right sticker set, and a random photocard. i managed to trade for a ksoo card in the end :-)

the 7th anniversary pink leather keychain is not part of concert merch, but it’s pretty so i threw it into the pic (only for this concert did i break it out of its box to attach it to my bag LOL)

i got a ksoo ... vertical banner? thin poster? thing after the concert was over, when merchants were desperate to sell their unsold goods. of course there was a ton of baek yeol 5ehun jun and j0ngin merch, but i was surprised i didn’t see as much of dae than i did ksoo. perhaps dae’s merch already sold out?? anyway, i saw ksoo’s marie claire photo and IMMEDIATELY shuffled over to ask for the price, which wasn’t too bad ($5, which became $4 because the merchant didn’t have exact change)

i pasted a xiu name sticker on one side of the eribong, and ksoo on the other. doubles as a “yeah these are my first 2 princes″ and a “at least they’re still with me today in spirit” ... *bursts into tears*

for xiu’s merch, there was NOTHING except maybe a tiny photo of him bunched with other members’ photos. i kept asking “do you have xium1n?” *merchant who usually isn’t a fan is confused* “um... kim minse0k?” *?* “this one, *points to xiu in a group photo*, do you have?” *shows me a j0ngin pic* “ok nvm” this was extremely upsetting. but hey at least i got to see xiu in printed group photos. because...

lay didn’t even make an APPEARANCE amongst the goods. rip xingmis. a fellow exol told me someone in the standing pen was waving a ZYX banner around though, so there’s still hope amongst the singaporean xingmis at least

i got a fan-produced jun fan before the concert because i didn’t know the venue was air-conditioned haha whoops.

during the concert, his second outfit (after the tempo perf) was a poofy white long-sleeved top and rather well-fitting black trousers/pants and lemme tell you.... HE’S PRINCE ERIC. HE’S SO HANDSOME AND HE’S SO NICE AND SWEET AND HIS ENGLISH WAS SO GOOD, LIKE, EVERYONE IS WHIPPED FOR KSOO’S ENGLISH BUT HONESTLY JUN REALLY TRIED TO COMMUNICATE TO US IN ENGLISH IT WAS AMAZING AND HE PUTS IN SO MUCH EFFORT AND HE SHOULD BE APPRECIATED MORE (and this is coming from a ksoo stan..). you have no idea how upset i was when everyone was screaming their heads off for the other 5 performing members during their little video interludes, but when jun came on screen, there were just screams. heads did not pop off. NO! WHAT IS THIS DISRESPECT AND UNDERAPPRECIATION???!!!! i screamed my head off for him but one person alone can’t make up for the difference... jun was so nice and kept waving and making eye contact with the audience, doing cute poses for us here and there, being his little awkward leader self (as SM boy band leaders seem to do...), and basically tanking the transitions between performances. christ. also he freakin CARRIED the backing vocals AND the main vocals (i mean dae and baek too but everyone already explicitly appreciates them so i don’t need to give them special mention for carrying). he is ALWAYS being slept on, and it’s just not doing him justice. what the hell. junmye0n deserves the world :-(

for his BEEN THROUGH 👀👀👀👀 performance, he told us he decided to change the shirt colour to red because he thought it would match Singapore well (or something along those lines). like. WOW????? THANK YOU FOR EVEN CONSIDERING MY COUNTRY IS WORTH NOTICING TO CHANGE YOUR OUTFIT???? i hope i’m not sounding sarcastic - it’s such a small action but i felt a little touched?? like wow, he noticed.

my binoculars was glued on him half the time. he’s so handsome and pretty at the same time. part of the reason why i still went was to see if everyone’s claims that “suh0’s pictures don’t do him justice” were legitimate because when i first saw jun′s pic (i forgot which exact one), i literally thought, “that’s the handsomest man i’ve ever seen”. so i suppose the claim depends on angles. because ALL of em look like their pictures - their GOOD-ANGLE pictures. MEANING, jun looks as good as his best photos (which tend to be the ones where he faces straight to the front), but now he looks good from whichever angle in motion. he is actually very fair-skinned too! his face was like a beacon of light.

also, in his first ment greeting us, he was such a cheeseball saying our country is beautiful... like us. JUNMYE0N PLEASE.

nearing the end of the concert HE TOLD US NOT TO CRY (along with j0ngin or yeol, can’t remember). THEY’RE GONNA SING THEIR LAST SONG, BUT IT’S NOT GOING TO BE THEIR LAST SONG, BECAUSE THEY’LL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS, RIGHT? HJAGKN;KLSKGKS :”””””(

so to reiterate: i have the biggest soft spot for junmye0n and i love him.

OH, DURING ONE SONG, 5EHUN CAME OVER TO RUB HIS HEAD ON JUN’S CHEST, AND I WAS LIKE AAAWWWW!!!!! and died. but jun’s back was facing me so i more or less couldn’t see much. after the concert, i found out that  5EHUN TRIED TO LIFT JUN’S SHIRT TO SHOW HIS ABS DURING THE NUZZLE. so i revived and died again. there were a lot of other small interactions too. seho stans won tonight.

anyway... i wasn’t paying close attention to 5ehun during group performances (other than when it was his solo dance break and exo-sc perfs), tho i felt like he wasn’t as “engaged” as, say, jun or yeol. but i thought that was normal because yaknow... he’s not very talkative, and i was probably getting that impression just from his naturally stern (rbf LOL) face. 

his dance break was COOL and his exo-sc performances were LIVELY. and when he actually gets to sing (... T_T) nothing went wrong so i thought everything was fine.

however, during one of his ments, 5ehun admitted to us that he felt bad coz he wasn’t up to standard today (because he’s sick?? translator was not doing a thorough job, i got this info from another friend), and he’s sorry. some of us were like “huh?? no?? GWAENCHANA!!!!” and the translator said he said, “no i’m not saying this just so yall will say that, if you continue i’m not gonna share my feelings like this anymore” so we all shut up.

i can’t remember if it was in that same ment, but during one of the ments, the whole time 5ehun was talking, jun was standing waayyyy in front of the line to turn his body to look at 5ehun. i think he was worried for him :”( 5ehunnie bb please don’t beat yourself up over this. my friend in the standing pen said yeah, he was pretty out of it today, he kept staring into space instead of making eye contact with fans. :-(

spEAKING of out of it, the same can be said for j0ngin. don’t get me wrong, his dancing was still otherworldly. i was looking through my binoculars to focus on the dance formation and/or jun, but suddenly i was like “wait, i’ve been looking at ka1 dancing this whole time”. IT’S SO FLUID AND SHARP AT THE SAME TIME. EVERY MOVE IS EXECUTED PERFECTLY. IT JUST DRAWS YOU IN.

... but that can only be said for some stages. i felt like his moves were not as sharp/confident sometimes?? i mean they were still graceful, but somehow it feels kinda tired???????? k who am i to judge, i’m not the one dancing and singing for 2 hours straight lmao he obviously needs downtime...

THAT’S WHAT I THOUGHT. unfortunately, during the ments, he also wasn’t very hyper (like hE WOULD BE WITH A CERTAIN SOMEONE.............. UGH MY KADI HEART IS ACHING). he dance-bopped around and interacted with yeol a little but that’s all. i know j0ngin is actually a shy boi but he REALLY didn’t talk much. :-(  i honestly suspect the Other Project (s*perM) is tiring him tf out.

am i hallucinating? or maybe i’m being overdramatic. i don’t know. it’s not that i was constantly following his movements like i was junmye0n’s during the concert anyway.

perhaps i’m not a baek stan, so i didn’t realise, but my friend commented that while he was not in as bad a state as j0ngin, he COULD’VE been more hyper.

okay DUDES this guy was the guy who warned the middle standing pen fans to stop f*cking pushing because they don’t want to get anyone hurt. “ok everyone in the back row (of the standing pen) please raise your hands. can those who raise your hands take one step back please” ... “ok yall raising your hands but you’re not moving back” ... (him/suh0) “we have to be very wary because if you get hurt then we can’t come back”  the entire stadium collectively went “oOOOHHHH” (not in a good way)... BUT THEY STILL DIDN’T MOVE BACK. (him/suh0) “okay you don’t want to move back? then we’ll retreat to the stage behind then” *walks from from the smaller stage closer to exols back to the larger stage all the way at the front*

he was legit not happy. and goodness gracious did he have the right to be. didn’t this nonsense happen with exo-sc kfans before? and at that time 5ehun was the one who got angry.

anyway not only did they leave to continue performing the second set of songs on a bad note FURTHER AWAY, i HIGHLY SUSPECT that the other punishment was to take away one performance. WHICH WAS MY MOST HIGHLY ANTICIPATED ONE - SIGN. YEAH. THEY DIDN’T PERFORM IT. SHOOT ME NOW. THAT WAS THE B-SIDE I WAS IMMEDIATELY WHIPPED FOR ONCE THE TEMPO ALBUM DROPPED. f*ck.

OKAY ALL THAT ANGST ASIDE, he’s still the main goofball of the concert. HE TRIED TO TEACH US HOW TO DAB INTO THE INSIDE OF OUR ELBOWS. HE GROPED CHEN ON STAGE. HE... he does his job of an entertainer well. OMG. HE TOOK SOMEONE’S PHONE AND TOOK PICS/VIDS OF HIM AND SEHUN????? when i finally noticed it happening i thought he literally took his own phone out during performance/fan-interaction-time to take a selfie but then i find out after the concert that NO, IT’S NOT HIS PHONE. ... that phone case must be enshrined immediately.

also he had to take over some lines for some songs, and BOI DELIVERED. he sounded really nice singing :”)

not only did he eat CDs while looking super cute in that blue suit, he BELTED OUT LIVE HIGH NOTES AND ADLIBS AND WHATEVER YOU CALL THEM. I’VE NEVER HEARD EXO LIVE, SO, OH MY GOD. it’s like you’re either screeching or silent because they’re performing but there were parts of dae’s performance where had to stop everything, put down my binoculars and eribong, stare into the air for a second, and literally say “wow” out loud. it was surreal. it was crazy. it got to the point where he covered one of xiu’s lines (i forgot which song), and i thought “oh wow, he sounds better singing this line than xiu” and i IMMEDIATELY felt guilty (I ONLY THOUGHT THIS FOR *ONE* OF XIU’S LINES, DON’T KILL ME)

he was quiet during the ment until his turn. when he was engaged he... engaged. haha about the members’ comments that his solo perf was a “different kind of sexy” from j0ngin, where he had only one drop of sweat. HAHA. *does lunges on stage* *gets molested by yeol*

dae’s actually really low-key. he’s like... a “good” boi. will respond well and politely but only when spoken to. what else do i say. sunshine angel. his smile is cute. CAT SMILE :3

speaking of cats... baek asked us at the beginning of the concert: why’s the dress code white?

and this was the only legit interaction i feel we got with exo this concert... after having a taste of it at the start, i was subsequently kinda bummed we didn’t get to do this back-and-forth talking with exo (even at a shallow level) likely because of a language barrier. it felt so cool.

also, eribong v.3 was SUPER PRETTY WITH COLOURS. IT WAS MAGICAL, I SAY, MAGICAL.

the entire spectrum could be shown on this eribong. this pic more or less covers the softer range of colours this eribong is capable of. it can also show the harsh red, blue, green, yellow, and of course, white.

(I started this fic with the intention of having it for whumpmas, so if that is not a testament to how slow I am as a writer, idk what is! Also, btw this is weird but I love when sicknarios I write get back to me, lol! And I did write this scenario with Keith and E from les mis in mind, so this is a great prompt! This is college au, btw, I find it kinda difficult to write alien parties lmao!)

Parties are the perfect culmination of everything Keith hates in life.

Bright, strobe, head ache inducing lights with a wide variety of flashing, psychedelic colours, ear piercingly loud music with a tremendous beat that makes his heart thump and thump and feel way too overwhelmed, warm, sticky bodies way too close too each other and making him feel suffocated, too much people, having fun and feeling free when Keith can only feel more trapped.

Too much people.

Too much.

Keith has spent so much time in solitude, in simplicity. And being thrust into a situation where there is too much all at once is alien to him, and he can’t help the rapid beating and thumping of his wild heart when he looks around for some sort of serenity.

Keith feels trapped in this room, the overwhelming humidity and heaviness of this air weighing down on him and compressing his lungs so he can’t breathe.  He hates watching all these people exhilarated, vibrant, alive. When he can only feel more lifeless by the second.

He feels like an alien like this. Like he isn’t part of this world. Keith doesn’t even feel like here’s here. He can’t even feel his body, he doesn’t feel like he’s connected to it, and he’s floating away. Looking down.  And he hates what he sees.

All Keith can feel is the pounding and raging headache that seems to pierce into his skull and the pain is only worsened by the tremors of the pulsating waves of sound from the obnoxiously large speakers that litter the place.

He didn’t even want to be here; Shiro had told him this would be good, that college was great, and he needed to start living that college life. Shiro said he needed to be more sociable, because he would make the best friends of his life here. Pidge would tease him , and so would Lance. And Hunk encouraged him kindly, and Keith did not have any energy to fight them. So he went. And he could not have regretted a decision more than this very moment.

Keith stumbles around the night club like he’s drunk, and he doesn’t have one single drop of alcohol in his body. If he can be drunk on a fever, he definitely is. Due to his feverish haze he’s lost Shiro and Pidge, and his only hope is finding Lance and Hunk who are probably the life and soul of the party.

In this haze he hasn’t even realised the tickle blossoming within his sinuses and before he knows it he’s doubling over with one loud, powerful sneeze that grates against his throat with no time to cover, and just aim towards the floor. He gets a slightly irritated look from some person, and honestly, he doesn’t even mind. Keith feels awful being this germ incubator in this tightly knit space. This cold is horrendous, and he’s probably just passed it on to a good three people and he feels terrible.

Keith stumbles and wobbles around the night club dizzily, the technicolor lights seeming like an acid trip he did not consent to, and it seems to be sending waves of messages to his brain to hurt and throb. He feels a tad bit of anger and bitterness towards Shiro, Allura and Pidge, and maybe a little bit towards Lance and Hunk, but in fairness to them, they hadn’t pushed him to go this particular evening, but they had in the past.

“You need to enjoy your college experience, Keith! Get out of your room for once, embrace your youth!” Shiro had told him, in a way that was so middle aged dad he wanted to tear his hair out but so perfectly Shiro he couldn’t help but be persuaded into it.

“Don’t be such a stick in the mud, Keith,” Pidge had whined.

“It’ll be so much fun, Keith! Plus, I heard that Lance is wearing a pretty cute outfit tonight,” Allura had teased, causing him to scowl knowing she had played with his heart and manipulated him with the promise of his crush looking cute.

And Keith couldn’t even find Lance, so there was about zero reason for him even being here.

As Keith continues to feverishly navigate around the crowded night club, pushing past bare, sticky skin and profusely overheating, he is suddenly tapped on the shoulder.

“Hey, will you kiss my friend?” A girl slurs, an arm sluggishly wrapped around her equally as wasted friend, giggling to her heart’s content.

Keith opens his mouth to politely refuse, but before he’s even aware his nose is itching horribly and Keith is doubling over with one loud, almost obnoxiously, heavy and sickly sounding sneeze he doesn’t cover.

The girls take a step back, giggling and backing away from him and fading away worth the crowd.

“Too bad, he was pretty cute though, just gross,” He hears one of them say before they disappeared entirely.

Keith sighs sadly, the girl was pretty, and he didn’t swing that way but he still felt kinda bad for being so gross. But his guilt doesn’t last long before he’s back to pitying himself and reembarking on his quest to find Lance.

He doesn’t even know why he’s so keen on finding the guy, he doesn’t really know what he’s expecting and maybe it’s his fever talking, but he’s not leaving this damn club without seeing his cute as fuck crush who is the reason he’s in this hellhole to begin with.

And it’s almost like a fairytale but it’s the sound of a beautiful melody, like a mesmerising serenade that captivates him him and lulls him over to the source.

He knows that voice anywhere.

He would know Lance’s melodic, tenor voice anywhere, it’s sweet and enthralling and it makes him feel all warm inside. Everything the little shit does makes him feel that way, but Lance’s voice is a siren’s song calling him and putting him on this spell and he’s forever his.

His voice has taken on an edge, a kind of rock and roll gruff to it that he finds insanely hot–maybe the fever adds to it though, he doesn’t know–and it’s sure tell sign that Lance is drunk.

“I guess I got what I deserved, kept you waiting there too long, my love. All that time without a word, didn’t know you’d think that I’d forget, or I’d regret, the special love, I have for you, my baby blue!” Lance sings, people dancing and bopping and head banging to his song.

Keith  manages to get a glimpse of Hunk who was jamming it out on the drums, and then he saw what he was looking for.

“Fuck,” Keith breathes out, “Allura was right.”

He did look pretty great.

He had his hair tousled and ruffled in a way that made him look so irresistible and adorable and these strobing lights that he hated served one purpose, and that was making his skin glow and his eyes twinkle and pop. His blue t-shirt hugged his body and his jeans were flattering and he looked so great. Keith wanted to faint.

Partly because of how attractive he looked, but also because he was now super light headed.

Lance looks beautiful and radiant, flashing a random girl watching one of those charming, flirty smiles that makes Keith jealous every time he does. He understands Lance isn’t his, but god he wished he was.

Keith shakes his head angrily, he’s never  his sentimental or sappy over Lance, maybe he really is that sick.

Then Lance looks over and they lock gazes, and this stupid lazy grin wipes across the boy’s face and any jealousy or bitterness or illness Keith is feeling seems to disappear when he does.

However Lance seems to realise his current state because his face drops. He quickly passes the mic to the random guy who’s playing the guitar and rushes over to Keith, albeit in a zig zagged direction as he seems to be tripping over his own feet.

“Keith?” Lance greets worriedly, only he can still remain appealing despite reeking of alcohol.

“Hey Lancey-Lance,” Keith slurs feverishly, before his nose twitches and he’s doubling over and aiming two harsh sneezes towards the floor.

“Lancey-Lan–god, you look awful! And Jesus, for you to be calling me that you must be running a–” Lance cut himself off and placed the back of his hand against Keith’s forehead and frowned.

“Dammit, Keith! That’s not good, we gotta get you,” Lance hiccups, “–home!”

“Why did you come, anyway, while you were this sick?” Lance frets, hiccuping again.

“M'not a stick in the mud,” Keith mutters feverishly, leaning into Lance’s side and nuzzling his face against his chest in exhaustion.

He pulls Keith into his embrace and kissed the top of his head, eyebrows furrowing in confusion, “What? What are you–oh.”

Lance’s heart sinks, “Keith. I’m so sorry. I’m sorry for teasing you, I didn’t mean to hurt you at all, I just..I wanted you to be with us. When you’re not here..I miss you.”

Keith shakes his head, “Not you.. you didn’t make me come tonight.”

Lance bites his lip, “Still. I contributed to make you feel like you were uptight and boring when you are nothing but exciting and lovely. I’m sorry Keith, please, let me make it up to you.”

Keith cant help but crack a weak smile, “I didn’t know you were an emotional drunk. I’m glad I came here tonight, now I can blackmail you.”

Lance can’t help but laugh a little, “But we’re taking you home right now.”

Keith sneezes loudly into Lance’s chest, muttering, “Sorry.”

Lance smiles softly, tapping him on the nose, “Alright, Mullet. Enough, we’re going home.”

“But they’re having so much fun..look at Hunk..he’s jamming out..” Keith points over to Hunk.

“And you..need to keep singing..” He insists tiredly.

“No way, you’re too sick!” Lance protest as he began to walk Keith out, simultaneously pulling out his phone to order an uber.

Once they arrive outside Keith let out a sigh of relief to feel the fresh air, basking in all the space and the soft lighting. His head seemed to ease up a little bit.

However the cold quickly began to seep in, causing him to shiver violently. Lance pulls off the jacket he had tied around the waist and helped Keith out it on. He then pulls the boy into a hug to share his warmth.

“Thank you,” Keith manages to choke out before erupting into a series of harsh, heavy coughs.

Lance could only smile weakly, obviously feeling guilty but pushed it aside to wave over to the Uber driver and guided Keith in.

Lance hauls Keith onto his bed, with him muttering about taking out the aspirin because they’ll both need it the next day, and heads straight towards the bathroom to collect a damp towel for him. Once he returned he laid the cloth gently over his forehead and pulled a chair over, sitting beside him.

“Shiro called. He was wondering where we were, I told him you were sick and he feels awful. They all do. Pidge says Korean takeaway is on her tomorrow, if you’re up for it,” Lance explains softly.

“You’re not a stick in the mud, Keith. Okay? You’re not boring. You’re not any of these things we made you feel and I’m so sorry we ever did. You’re sweet and kind and such a great friend and– I’m so sorry, Keith, we should’ve understood. I love parties but there are days where I just don’t even want to get out of bed, I should’ve understood, showed you some compassion. I should’ve..”

“Lance, stop.”

He looks over Keith, feeling guilt and feeling responsible for Keith being this sick. He feels awful, he had made yet another mistake. He feels so stupid for being unable to read in between the lines, his jokes going too far and he hadn’t even noticed it. He just wanted  Keith to be with him, to be happy. And he had to go and fuck it up.

“You’re really good at hiding how you feel, Lance, but you can’t hide it from me, stop feeling so guilty,” Keith croaks.

“I can’t help it, I was hurting you and I didn’t know,” Lance murmurs.

Keith coughs harshly, feeling his chest rattle from the force of it, “I’ve felt worse pain.”

“That doesn’t make it okay.”

Keith smiles softly, “But you didn’t mean to hurt me. I know you never would try and hurt me. ..you said..you missed me when I’m not there. Yeah, I was hurt, but now I feel wanted.”

Lance manages a smile, “Always. You’re always wanted.”

“I hope you know that.”

“I know now,” He slurs feverishly.

Keith coughs again, and when he finishes he looks over at Lance with bleary, glazed eyes, and giggles, “You looked very hot tonight.”

Lance blushes hard, his eyes widening, “U-uh..n-no, you’re the feverish one, you’re hot.”

Keith scoffs before yet again coughing, “Don’t play dumb, you’re smarter than you give yourself credit for. You know what I meant.”

Lance shakes a little, so unused to being the one flirted with rather than the one initiating it, Keith did this thing where he shook his entire world and turned it upside down and he’d lose control.

“You’re not..you’re..you’re..uh..pretty. Uh, pretty cool. Pretty handsome. Whatever,” Lance blurts , extremely flustered.

Keith grabs at his hand with the sweetest look in his eyes, “Sing for me, please. It makes everything feel okay again.”

Lance swallows as his hand was grabbed, but he let himself relax into his touch and let it happen. He smiles.

“I’ve got no use for moonlight, or sappy poetry. Love at first sight is for suckers, at least it used to be. Look, girls are nice, once or twice, til’ I find someone new..but I never planned on no one like you.”
