Febuwhump Day One: Touch Starved

His skin prickled and burned, and nothing he did helped. He shoved his hands in opposite sleeves, burrowing further into his thick sweater as he hugged himself, but the action seemed to only make him more tense. He glanced around the camp briefly, taking note of where everyone was, shooting a glare at one he caught staring at him. 

No one was allowed near him. No one could touch him. Except his brothers.

But they still hadn’t rendezvoused outside the dungeon. Four glanced back at the entrance in worry, drawing his shoulders up as the prickling feeling returned. 

Brief background on Four below the cut:

Four is one of the Links from Four Swords. He’s the purple one, and within their “team” is a quick-footed fighter. His main items are the Four Sword, an Armor Seed that boosts his defenses, and the Pegasus Boots. Fast, nimble, willing to throw himself into battle.

In general, these four Links were brought up in nobility. Hence they were close enough with Zelda to accompany her to the Four Sword Shrine. They’re all a bit uppity, but their adventure humbled them somewhat. Of course it also made them extra paranoid about each other’s well-being, and they became near inseparable since. It’s only on the adventure with the myriad of other heroes that they (slowly) begin to find their footing as individuals again.

Now Stars and Leafs has to do what Panthers and Hurricanes did together (all of these are my fave teams), either win or lose together! Why this had to get to this point? At one point four puppies were fighting for a spot on Sana's lap and my tml was full of people saying they recognised her as one them, and all I could think was puppy Sana

the puppies looked so comfy with them :( that one pup that stayed with dahyun the whole time was so cute... i also thought abt pup sana when i saw that (please she IS one of them) but then today we got (kitten!) jihyo barking like a puppy for sana. i've seen some videos of kitties "barking" bc they grew with puppies and that's exactly what i thought about when i saw this video 🥲

DOOM round 1 part 1

The magic life of hamato quadruplets summary : "Everyone thought they were weird, nutty, out of touch. They're so different from the already unordinary that they were casted out as the freaks among freaks. It's fine...They have each others AKA Yeeting the turtle brothers in the Harry Potter Universe"

Same story different font summary : A 17 year old 2012 Leo ends up in the Rise verse the morning of "Dinosaur Seen In Sewers" He lands in the hidden city, nearby Draxum's lab. He breaks in, right as Draxum is about to mutate four baby turtles. Leo fights him, but he's the one that ends up in the machine instead of Lou Jitsu. The four baby turtles were mutated and Leo fled with them in his arms. With absolutely no way back home and no way to contact his family Leo raises the four babies as his own. Now 13 years later, his children teenagers and Leo just turned 30, his kids end up meeting an old enemy and accidently unleashing millions of dangerous oozequitos and now the kids want to be Heros of New York City. Because much like their father Leo, the kids are absolute magnets for trouble.

We all fall down summary : Things aren’t adding up for the kid, newly made leader. This world is strange, pizza places in the wrong spots, missing manholes. But, luckily for him, he has these three turtles willing to do whatever it takes to get him home. WAFD is a collab series where rise Leon has ended up in an AU version of tmnt 2003

Boundless summary : They are a family – not bound by obligation, or blood, or laws of reality. They are a family because they grew to love each other, and the love knows no restrictions. And the love is boundless.

A different eldest brother summary : Instead of getting sent to 2012-tmnt universe, Raph gets sent to universes slightly closer to his own. Then all those worlds get thrown together. Some plot about Donnie committing murder snuck in between all the fluff and turtle piles. A series of short stories exploring AUs of The Eldest Brother by Debb987, where Raph is not the eldest brother of his family. I just did a binge-read catch up session for ‘Missing Link’ and now I’ve finished the latest chapter, I’m feeling empty inside. It was the perfect angst, a conversation that our beloved Wolfstar definitely needed to have. I love your writing style, your characterisation (which is just completely on point to how I envision each character btw), the attention to detail, I just love your work to death, but after my perfectly pleasant day being completely ruined by that chapter, I’m feeling particularly salty, and you’re 100% to blame :,). HAHA. All jokes aside, it’s been just over a year since a friend of mine recommended ‘Horcrux Hunt’ to me, and omg, has your series brought me joy 😭 Even when it’s over, I’ll be sticking around for a while yet :) 🙏

THEY DID NEED IT DIDN'T THEY!!!! i know like this obvs isn't canon but i just hated the idea of making wolfstar too *easy* because it just didn't feel realistic!!! and they're all so young and they're traumatised and they're emotionally immature and they're MEN so it's like no way are they just gonna be able to get together and be done with it you know??? they're such an angsty pairing i just had to drag it out a bit BUT we're now onto the last four chapters and it is nothing but FLUFF <3

Leading Car Makers In India Plan To Increase Prices From January 2024

At the beginning of the New Year 2024, car buyers will look for cars for their new rides. From January, at least four car manufacturing companies have decided to increase their car price that is happening due to cost pressure and overall inflation. In this article, we'll grab the details related to the price of cars from manufacturers including Maruti Suzuki India, Tata Motors Limited, Mahindra, and Audi India. What do they say about it? Let's learn it.

Cars In India To Get Expensive From January 2024 

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has made their statement that the price of cars would increase from January. Tata Motors Limited (TML) also indicated to raise their price across all ranges from January. Not only Tata Motors but also Mahindra & Mahindra will hike their price in every range. Therefore, there is a conclusion that almost every automobile manufacturer will go to increase the price of vehicles this year. Luxury cars will be more expensive because Audi India announced a price hike in their cars, so you will see an elevation in their price. Now people has to peep deep in their pocket to buy luxury vehicles. Audi India mentioned the increase of 2% in price from January. It was the same response from Mercedes Benz India when the question was asked related to price. From Next year, overall all prices will rise, and the main reason behind the elevation in price is inflation and increased commodity prices. Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) said in a regulatory filing: "The company has made their plan to increase the price of its cars from January 2024, the overall inflation and rising price in commodities made this change in the price of cars." Furthermore, MSIL said that they would do their best to reduce the cost and offset the increase. However, there will be an increase in price in the market, so the price will vary for each model. A spokesperson of Tata Motors Limited told the Business Standards " We're considering the hike in price across all vehicles including electric vehicles in January 2024. The exact details of prices will be shared in a few weeks." The senior executive officer of marketing & sales, MSI, explained the volatility in commodity prices. "Steel prices have been elevated, and there is general inflation pressure as well," he told to the Business Standard, the estimation has been made on keeping the cost in mind, so it has to increase. Maruti Suzuki India Limited raised prices by 0.8% in April this year. "We intend to take a price increase for automotive products from January 2024," said  Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of Mahindra & Mahindra. All statement has been made by the CEO of Mahindra & Mahindra keeping in mind inflation and increased commodity price, he mentioned that the price details will be shared soon. Balbir Singh Dhillon, head of Audi India, said: "Achieving probability through the sustainable business model remains the main strategy for Audi India, and our goal is.to provide.our best product to customers. Due to the supply-chain cost, prices have been affected across all models of the car," The company said, the company will ensure that the price hike impact should be minimal, Our goal is to provide the best deal to customers." this is random but honestly the Pokémon fandom is so hard to please, every time I see someone on the tml they’re complaining about something

Haha, I find it a bit ironic I saw this ask just after sending my bf a message about being worried these games might be a bit too rushed.

I do agree that the fandom can be very hard to please, especially when it comes to new games, however they are coming from a place of concern for a series they love. The only thing the fandom can agree on as a whole is the CAT BETTER STAY ON ALL GODDAMN FOURS.

It’s truly hard to put what has happened in the past few hours into words.

Never in my 20 years did I ever expect for a signed NHL player to come out as gay, and I’m glad it happened. Growing up, I never thought that I would never see a player come out. The NHL is officially the last of the “Big Four” to have an out player, whether that be active under contract or retired. It’s taken 104 years for any past or present NHL player to come out. 

I have utmost respect for Luke Prokop for being the first openly gay player under an active NHL contract. History in the hockey world has been made, and it is great to see the overwhelming support from teams and players. There are still a concerning amount of homophobic comments being made by many, but the comments and media attention is mostly positive.

Hockey is an insular and masculine sport, with a very prominent 'dude-bro' culture. Brimming with misogyny, racism, and homophobia. More often than not, it's brushed away as locker room talk or boys will be boys. It's irresponsible to justify it as either. The NHL is trying to improve their culture, it's nowhere near enough.

I’m not going to deny that pride nights are a good thing, but they are just a small step in the right direction. Yes, using pride tape on sticks during warm-up is great. I am not going to deny that in the slightest, but it is far from creating an inclusive culture. Comments on social media on pride nights are a mere reminder to why both hockey leagues and fans need to change. 

Now that there is an active gay player in the league, I hope that the NHL will actively try to improve it’s culture. They have already donated significant funding towards LGBTQ+ sport organizations such as You Can Play. It is also not Luke’s job to educate others or fix the entire league in regards of being gay in professional hockey. 

Thank you Luke and everything that you have already done to change hockey culture for the better so quickly. Good luck in the big show, can’t wait to see you hoist the Stanley Cup.

On the occasion I get them, yes! It takes me a while to get around to them though, sometimes I just don't know what to say! I'm more likely just to ramble back at you or say thank you in thirty thousand different ways than give any insight on a story.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Hm. That's...debatable.

Top one? Probably Crisis. I'm still not quite over it, and I still haven't taken another crack at the early months after Koda's death because of it. Usually stories like it I'd be pretty careful to make sure I fleshed it out enough, but it's shorter than most others like it. Short, concise and to the point. And really damn sad because it ends with how Citlali found out she died.

Morbidly, I'm still rather happy with it even just under a year since I wrote it.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

I have a pretty small handful, enough to count on my hands. The happiest ending is probably between Rubber Duck (F!Shep/Ashley) and Coasting (F!Shep/Kaidan). Both post-war, both about mostly meaningless tasks or events. They're probably the only ones that are pure fluff.

Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you’ve written?

No. Doesn't interest me, I like my fandoms in neatly made boxes.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

I have not. Let's not start that.

Do you write smut? If so what kind?

No.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yes! I found some really old fics on a translated site that had never asked my permission maybe three or four years ago, right when I was starting to gain traction on another site. Given, I was one of many and I'm not sure what I should've done in that situation, but unfortunately I'm not sure what happened. It was years ago, yet I wonder why they did that. It was a little fic about kids in space. It just doesn't check out no matter how I think about it. Am I upset? Not really, just always thought it was weird.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Technically, I currently am. Not quite a fic, but it is writing heavy and I'm terribly excited to share it when I can.

What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Of all time? Percy/Annabeth easy. I was a YA nerd. Occasionally I still am. Those books were the best escapism I was going to get. But I'm also nearing the three-ish years I was on that both with ME and DA now so that'll probably eventually change.

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

It's a pretty high hope, but getting Nine Lives done is seeming more and more impossibly by the day. Developing more characters, developing more relationships, sticking all that on a timeline -- figuring out where the hell Citadel-dweller kids go to school, how they interact with other alien children, biotics, the list goes on and I get more and more frustrated.

What do you even study in alien school?? What the hell do the history books look like?? Gah.

What are your writing strengths?

Combat prose and weird poetic one offs. I am still very happy with the Mars chapters in Redamancy for that reason.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Romance and keeping things concise. Emotions are hard sometimes, I don't know why they did it, all I know is that they did. I get lucky if it's in 1k words or less, and it's not rambling on about an under-explained metaphor.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Meh. I'm not of any opinion, I just appreciate it when it's translated at the end of the chapter if they do it. Other than that, well, that's the reason I'm learning other languages.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

I feel like my answer changes every time I answer this, but probably Legend of Korra? Or anything coherent, it'd have to be pushed forward a few years to Maximum Ride. I remember scribbling away on loose leaf paper during class with my trusty stolen (read: found in the hall) mechanical pencil I never had lead for.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

I'm not sure right now. I love and nitpick at every one of my fics equally. However, while Letters Home has it's problems, I am terribly happy with how it came out in the end, especially since it came after a bit of a dry spell.
