Theory: Jake won’t end up with anyone at the end of season 2

So, Jake gets shipped with basically everyone in the series, considering the fact that he’s the main character, right? Almost everyone wants their ship to be canon by the final episode. But personally, I think that Jake won’t end up with anybody.

The three most popular ships that I’ve seen so far involving Jake are Jaisy (Jake x Daisy), Drake (Jake x Drew), and Jailey (Jake x Hailey). I believe the reason why most people ship these three ships is because there's been some evidence of Jake having some kind of reaction to something they say/do or vice versa that can be seen as romantic.

(Ex: Jake getting easily flustered around Daisy, Drew seeming jealous that Jake hangs out with Hailey so much, and Jake jokingly flirting with Hailey)

I also believe that some people may be looking too far into these reactions.

For instance, Jake blushing at Daisy is just because he has a crush on her. This doesn’t mean Daisy likes him back. Drew seeming jealous of Hailey doesn’t mean that he’s head-over-heels in love with Jake, he’s just annoyed that his friend is spending more time with other people. And finally, Jake flirting with Hailey doesn’t mean they like each other. It’s just apart of Jake’s personality to flirt with people, as we saw when he was talking to his “adoring fans” in ep 11, and Hailey may just be embarrassed.

Also, the only character that Jake canonically likes so far is Daisy, who has been hinted at to possibly like Sean, so these ships are most likely to remain platonic.

So, now that we just explained why the three popular ships may not be canon, let’s go into the less popular ones. My examples are gonna be Jia (Jake x Lia), Jander (Jake x Zander), and Jean (Jake x Sean), because I see these ships more than some other less popular ones.

Again, some people think that there’s some possibility these ships will be canon because of some interactions.

(Ex: Lia simping over Jake, I can’t find any examples for Jander, and Jake offering to give Sean his gaming laptop)

And again, THESE DON’T MEAN THEY LIKE EACH OTHER THAT WAY.

Lia is known to simp over Jake. It’s canon, and it’s been a bit of a joke since the early episodes. But Jake always looks really uncomfortable when Lia flirts with him— he’s seen to be mouthing “HELP” to Drew when she looks away. I think the ship is going to remain platonic/ one sided. With Jander… I don’t really think I need to explain this one. Lander literally has been canon for 3 or 4 years. And with Jean, I think that it’ll also stay platonic, partially for one of the same reasons I think Jaisy will. Sean’s first reaction to seeing Daisy is, and I quote, “Wow… she’s cute 😨”. It would be a nice ship, but I think that Saisy has a higher chance of being canon.

Most ships involving Jake have some reason or another to not become canon, which is one of the reasons why I think he’ll still be a “single Pringle” by the end of the series. Also, if Rosy makes Jake end up with nobody, there’d be a lot less arguing between different shippers (especially Jailey and Drake shippers, stop fighting so much, guys), and maybe a bit less disappointment.

(P.S: This post wasn't made to put down other peoples ships!! It's just me pointing out some ways that they might not become canon. I'm personally a Juffering shipper myself 😍😍)

The thing about haileys hair is that there are different shots where her hair is actually greener than others. I like to say that Hailey likes to dye her hair a deep blue/teal and then the dye fades away which makes it greener. Hence explaining the colour difference

Sorry, obligatory ramble warning

There’s three love triangles here

Red: obvious one but general audience could try passing it off as just platonic, - made up of Drew, Hailey, Jake

Yellow: Could be passed off as Jake’s “actual” love triangle, because he is shown to like daisy and is heavily implied to like Hailey (I still say it’s lesbians) - made up of Hailey, Daisy, and Jake

Now here’s the most interesting one, in my opinion.

Blue: Made up of Drew, Zoey, and Jake. This is Drew’s love triangle

Now, we know Drew and Zoey were dating and “liked” each other. Why is Jake in this triangle then? If Drew and Jakes relationship is suppose to be platonic, why place Jake in the middle of the canon couple?

Now, to use an example of a “hidden” love triangle, Will Byers (Jake, in this case) is constantly being placed in between or next to Mike (Drew) and El (Zoey), who are the canon couple currently in stranger things. It’s heavily implied Mike and Will like each other. The three are constantly put in a triangle similar to the one on the poster. Thus, with this logic, we can infer that Blue triangle is a love triangle for Drew, consisting of himself, his girlfriend, and his best friend.

Sound familiar, anyone?

Luke and Zander have an argument and break up for a brief moment because ✨drama✨ (bonus points if the thing their arguing about is completely pointless and if their break up nothing to the plot and is just there for the angst)

I am NOT the you are to drew like Henry is to me anon I am a completely different person however. I'd like to share a little something about Henry.

I had a friend on discord once and we talked about Henry quite a lot, and we made what is what I think my FAVOURITE Henry theory of all time.

Okay, think about it: what's the ONE tmf character that has a design trait that literally HIDES or CHANGES their real appearance to the audience? That's right; HENRY. Henry's real EYES are never seen (except for the glow up video which I'm really not counting because that's like... a silly little thing BUT ANYWAY) in the show. And we all know eyes are the window to the soul. What I'm getting at here is that I don't think that Henry is genuine, not in a malicious way, but in some sort of... like, joke... way?? Gosh I can't explain it but here look.

Think about it. Why the hell would Henry spit gum into Zoeys hair? ZOEY, aka Drew's girlfriend, aka THAT ZOEY? For the comedic value. Because its funny.

Why does he like lettuce juice? Really think about it. Really. What. Does lettuce juice. Taste like. Just fucking water. Maybe terrible water but you can't juice a fucking lettuce. This is a gag, yes, but the only closer similar gag is maybe Zander drinking grape juice I guess... but that's not similar. Grapes can be juiced. Where would you even GET a lettuce juice box? That's right, NOWHERE. Henry must've crafted those boxes, or at least stuck a sticker onto a green juice box, for a bit. Wouldn't that be insane ass effort to put into a bit? Hell, the juice is green. If you juice a lettuce it wouldn't be green. It's not a lettuce smoothie, it's a "lettuce juice". Meaning that Henry either getting green juice or dying water himself isn't out of the picture.

Why is he always goofing around? Sure, you can say thats just his silly goofy aura, but just THINK. He is DESIGNED with silly goofy in mind. His literal physical appearance is silly. HE LITERALLY HAS MEME EYES. HE'S THE ONLY ONE WITH MEME. EYES.

I know this is just an archetype. I know he's just a character.

But just. Think.

He isnt just "a comedic relief character", he IS the comedic relief character. In their show. That's the role he put on himself. The role he's putting effort to play no matter the consequence.

But why would that be? I mean, look at Liam! He's silly and goofy too, why am I doing this whole ass essay?

I bring another point into discussion; the fact that he's a WEEB.

Now, I may be projecting just a smidge here, but that just means I have personal experiences of that happening.

We all know Drewy Bear loves to adopt absolute fucking losers and up their status, as shown with Jake. And, come on, think about it, Henry is like THE most bulliable character in the show, no offense. So, what I'm proposing,

Is that Henry must've gotten bullied before too. It would make total sense! He's a weeb, excitable, probably says "nani!?" Unironically, etc. And you know, sometimes when you're picked on... you really start to internalise that shit. Sometimes the attention you get from people laughing at you feels good. Terrible, hurtful, and devastating... but good. Because they find you funny.

And you then put ALL your effort into being funny. That's the only thing you're gonna be, after all, you're hillarious. Oh, you can only eat X food? What are you, a rabbit? Hahaha, turn that into a funny bit! Etc, etc etc.

We don't know how long this went on or how long Henry was a Dromie, but one things for sure (in my theory): all of this slowly made him less and less of a person, and more and more of just a joke.

And no, the lettuce thing isn't a reach. I've had this genuinely happen to me personally; people kept on making fun of me because I had to soften my food because of my chronic fatigue, so i turned it into a bit. I'm not ruling this out for Henry.

@bluexjayy, also known as Jay, is one of the Original Freakblr seven. The group is considered to be the original Freakblr bloggers on Tumblr as sourced from a list @sobeksewerrat posted several months ago. Giving them a special sort of status on this blog.

According to Jay the main reasons they ended up joining Freakblr was because several fanfiction creators hey followed were on Tumblr, "Originally, I joined Freakblr due to many of the tmf fanfic writers I followed on ao3 joining/being (aka @jagged-dust-jacket) on their, along with for the art...I discovered the community via the blog @tmf-confessions after I had joined tumblr."

Jay has stated that initially joining Freakblr was a bit awkward, "I knew no one, and no one knew me really." Eventually though, they managed to integrate with the other few users on the site, "After a little while of sending asks to @tmf-confessions, I ended up being “initiated” into it via my Drew Shrine confession, along with one where I shared that I made puns with the names of the jomies. Remember, don’t be a jakeass and have a drewtiful day!!"

Other than being a very active and beloved participant in the Freakblr Community, Jay is well known for running the gimmick blog knows as The Freakblr Poet, who I have catalogued here: Poet

But, they also run several other blogs. Such as the @31days-of-freakblr blog, or the @im-haunting-freakblr. They have various other alias (all just as iconic as these ones) which I've listed above.

It is also important to note that Jay was the one who created the underrated and underutilized Freakblr Community tab. Which allowed Freakblr users to have a more focused and protected forum to post their Freakblr and Music Freaks content.

When asked about blogs of note, they specifically mentioned users @/xizxles and @/roryheart. "They’re two original members of freakblr that well, had to leave due to personal stuff. They were great members, I miss them dearly <3" They had also mentioned being allied with the @freakblr-underground-agent and the @freakblr-detective.

When asked if they had any "enemies," they noted @sobeksewerrat, stating that it was specifically in Freakblor lore. This leads me to believe they have a closer relationship, that they're not serious enemies but rather friends who love to joke around. "I’m his defiant child, fighting against him and his dictatorship over Freakblr (and that Hailey’s hair is BLUE)"

Speaking of Hailey's hair, when asked if they had a specific memory of note they mentioned the Hailey Hair controversy. "The war happened technically.. due to me posting a photo of an angsty thing I made that @sobeksewerrat misinterpreted, thus sending the little community of ours to chaos. And while we were all fighting.. well, I loved how it brought all of us(at the time) together online. It was fun." This incident is commonly cited by older Freakblr members, remembered as a time of playful fighting and chaotic debate.

According to Jay, they have a sense of Nostalgia for the old days on Freakblr, "I do miss how Freakblr used to be, in it’s prime. I miss the months of September, October, November, where we had wars, had fun talking all about our headcanons, ships, theories." This is the era that most users, especially the Freakblr Original Seven, consider to be the peak and/or height of Freakblr. The time when the community was believed to be the most active. "Freakblr is fine now, but alas, I miss our original fandom here on tumblr."

Throughout the wild ride that has been the existence of Freakblr, Jay has been a constant. They are always active within the community and are considered to be a valued and adored member of Freakblr. It is impossible to hate them, and without Jay Freakblr would absolutely not be the same.

"There is literally a 0.1% chance they'll get in because it's a random YouTube gacha life series but I swear ITS GOOD!! It has good voice acting and good animation (especially once it gets to ep5 and onward), it has really good characters and writing (albeit very cliche)I swear!!. Oh well. Also, Jake is the protagonist, so we know a lot more about him than we do about Drew, which means his actions might seem more "justified" because we're more aware of his background. And also, he just has more background in general so it's a bit easier to summarize his story. But there are multiple sides to this bond

So basically, Jake and drew are both complicated characters with their own issues. They were both best friends who weren't fully honest with each other and who recently "broke up" in the finale. They both did good and bad and bad-but+understandable things that ruined their relationship.

I am honestly kind of tired, because I have summarized the plot of TMF more times than I could count on my fingers, but I suppose I'll have to work up he strength, otherwise literally no one will even bother voting them. (If it gets into the bracket in the first place)

So basically, Jake got bullied in middle school for his passion for singing. Afterwards he got really insecure of himself, since the bullying was most definitely heavy. He didn't have any friends, until drew came into his life. Drew didn't know about Jake's passion for music, but out of fear for being made fun of again, Jake decided not to share that part of him. Drew was also one of those bullies who made fun of the schools music club, and called them freaks, though he never knew JAKE liked music, so. Jake basically was desperate for a friend and would sacrifice his real identity to simply please drew, especially since Jake KNEW drew bullied music lovers, while Drew never knew about Jake's passion and continued to obliviously make fun of the Music club, HOWEVER. later on in the show we realize that Jake faking his personality around drew would inevitably ruin their relationship. Drew himself most likely has a form of separation anxiety and attachment issues, and he canonically has control issues evident by many of his actions. We don't know why yet, we can make theories, and it's probably gonna get revealed in season 2, but many people theorize his parents are neglectful so he seeks attention from others, as well as has underlying anxiety related to others leaving him. It's just a theory though, however it makes sense. In the show, we see him making fun of the music club, and Jake making fun of the music club with him too, because Jake is scared that drew will leave him if Jake is revealed to be one of those music freaks. This is toxic because Jake simply can't be himself around drew. But there's more reasons why they're toxic. Jake lied to Drew about who he was, which most definitely hurt Drew because he felt lied to and he felt manipulated, but st the same time drew was ALSO manipulative and possessive over Jake, and he was the one to make Jake feel like he can't be himself in the first place, so it's toxic both ways (but it's a little kore toxic coming from Drew's side). 

Now why is this a ship? I'll also have to explain this (before summarizing more of the plot hehe) basically Drew's possessiveness and clinginess could be perceived as him being romantically attracted to Jake, as well as the fact that he blushed when the topic of him being jelous of Jakes new friends came up, and he didn't even deny it, he just said "shut up!" Ok gay plum. It's also a ship bc of his attached they are though they're definitely toxic. It's not canon, and Drew's feelings are probably never going to be officialized, however, a demonic soul can hope.

Now onto further plot summary (what I summarized before was just the some of the backstory summarization, nothing else, were barely getting started): at one point, Jake joins the music club. Bc of his girl crush. OK YES Jake has a canon girl crush, which kinda ruins this ship it though this ship is prolly one sided anyway lmao. But doesn't matter. Basically Jake is crushing on his girl daisy, and at one point when a band competition is announced, Jake really feels appelled to sign up for their schools music club, however because of DREW, he felt like he COULDNT. so instead he sang an emo song on the rooftop, and then got caught by daisy. Daisy told him that he shouldn't let hid talent to go to wastel and that he should join the music club, and Jake impulsively tells her hell join the club. However he regrets it bc he feels like DREW, someone who's supposed to be his BEST FRIEND, is going to make fun of him for it. This is not healthy bruh. But anyhow - he still decides to join the club, and then he tells drew about it, but says that he joined the band JUST so he could perform at the competition and "win daisy over" because he's been meaning to ask her out. He has to use excuses in order to feel safe performing his passions, wow. Jake still feels the need to hide his passions, and he tells drew that he's just doing it for daisy, and after the competition hell simply leave the club. However all of that is simply lying. Jake lied to much, because of his insecurities, which caused further damage in his and Drew's bond. Jake actually WANTED to be a part of the Music club, the exact one drew would make fun of, Jake actually felt like family there. However obviously he couldn't open up about it to drew. So as time goes on in the show, drew starts feeling more and more obviously jealous. He also gets more and more progressively depressed and distant, because of the jealousy. Jake starts spending more time with the music club, while drew doesn't WANT him to be at the club, drew wants Jake ti be right by his side. And gets quite annoyed with the lack of attention he's received from him. Angsty jelly bf. Jake however never tells him that he's pursuing his passion and drew should be proud of him!!. Bit uhshhdidodd

More time passes, the competition is nearing, and drew is getting really really tired and jelous of Jakes lack of attendance in his life. Drew then proceeds to try and manipulate Jake into getting out of the music club, and got him to say a bunch of hurtful things about the club as well, so drew tried to convince both Jake AND himself that the music club is actually the one manipulating Jake into staying eitt them and spending less time with drew. Oh also I forgot to mention - they were all at Drew's house, by "all of them" I mean drew and Jakes other friends I'll call the jomies (Jake x homies). So basically one of the jomies decided to record the bunch of hurtful things Jake said about the club, y'know that drew pressured Jake into saying. Drew didn't record nor did he know about one of the jomies recording Jake but yeah. Drew still wanted to manipulate Jake into leaving the club anyway.

So long story short, one of the jomies proceed to send the recording to the music club, so the music club felt understandably upset at Jake especially since they've all been bullied in the past and had their trust broken, and so basically drew indirectly broke Jake and the music club up. Though this worked in Drew's favour because he WANTED the rift between them to happen. But also remember drew never knew about Jake's passion. For singing. 

Later on stuff happen, yada yada, Jake apologizes to the music club VERY, VERY publicly (the whole school heard them), and drew gets annoyed yet again, because like I said, drew is a jelly bf, he wants jakey all to himself, he is tired of Jake constantly talking about the music club, he feels like Jake cares more about the club than he does about HIM. which sucks because drew is very hungry for attention dye to his possible crappy home life. After Jakes apology, when the music club decided to forgive them, drew decided to get into an "argument" with Hailey, one of the music club members (by argument I mean drew literally just started yelling at her lmao). Then Jake decided to break up the fight. I also forgot to mention that Jake cares boh about the jomies AND the music club. He wants to be friends with both of them. But jomies and TMC don't. So then drew and Jake start arguing and yada yada I'm EXTREMELY tired my head hurts I don't think I can continue blabbering.... but UHM. Basically drew felt manipulated and betrayed. Jake was manipulated. They were both manipulative due to their own issues, and they both struggle deeply in this toxic bond. What is more toxic yaoi than that?"

Get fucked Kendrick! Get fucked!  (Drakes rhetoric strategy  part 3/? The OG Family Matters)

So after doing this breakdown I finally understand why Drake’s rhetoric strategy really didn’t work: it really needed Kendrick to fall apart like Wayne or Meek Mill. Or at least go ballistic after push ups like Pusha T (but that won’t sting as much because it happened before and Drake preempted the worst stuff) – and so imagine this:

Push Ups: Your label is abusing you – you are an industry puppet

TMF: You are only powerful when you hide behind people who are more powerful than you and now you are standing here all alone

A reaction where Kendrick becomes super defensive and/or goes low

Family matter part 1+2: Your wife cheats on you with your best friend. One of your kids isn’t yours. You stand alone and now I’m going to kill all the people you are hiding behind! Oh look they are dead! Well then, I’m going on vacation because I’m a completely unbothered king – try harder next time!

Are you seeing the vision? That’s a decent strategy. Conspiracy theories under the cut:

I believe that family matter originally only had two verses. Verse 1 about Whitney, Dave and Kendricks children and verse 2 about everyone else. Maybe there were some little changes made here and there (I mean Drake had to add the N-Word to show that nothing what Kendrick says bothers him. At all. Not even a little bit.)  but I think they were mostly done. The vid is shot at the same location just from different perspectives; the second verse has a clear ending [I’m going on vacation now] and it’s connected to verse 1 through the Abel line. These two verses together also make sense for the story Drake is trying to tell: after all Kendrick is only someone if he has people to defend him.

This angle would also explain the weird way Drake is treating Whitney. Because let’s face it: Whitneys role changes several times during the track: is she a thot (you know drop 29 for the thot?) does she cuck Kendrick with Dave Free (but why is the son light skinned? Did she also sleep with a white dude?) Is she a poor abused woman? In verse 1 it’s very clear – Kendrick cheated on Whitney/ Whitney cheated on him -> their relationship is broken and can’t be repaired. And they should break it off. You can take the “set that shorty free” in two ways: Either it’s Whitney who’s supposed to leave Kendrick and than give sexual favors to Dave and Drake (because she’s a slut you know)

Or and I’m inclined to believe that more just because of the way Drake used sexual imagery in this battle until now: It’s meant to be Kendrick. He’s supposed to let Whitney breathe instead of trying to save something that can’t be saved (remember her captions scream “save me”) and then accept the abuse by Drake and his general manager (notice how Drake removes all friendly ties of Daves and Kendricks relationship). After all he got fucked by Top, he got fucked by Taylor and now he can be fucked by Drake and Dave. It also alludes to Kendrick’s song “for free” which is basically about the fact that Kendrick won’t just be fucked over by the industry. Oh no Kendrick. You’ve always been fucked and now it’s Drakes turn.

And that would be the perfect ending for Kendrick Lamar.

If, you know Euphoria didn’t make this whole angle really really unlikely.  And also really hurt Drakes feelings ☹.

every tmf content creator i watch all keep saying that theyre losing interest in tmf (which is fine, i dont expect them to stay chained to one series for their whole lives) but sometimes i start to wonder when thatll ever happen to me and my tmf blog

he’s a lot calmer and positive and yet still has this chaotic vibe about him (which is an iconic trait for any mikey to have)

i would so be friends with him if i knew him personally. i mean, how could i not?????? HE’S INTO IMPROV. THEATER KIDS OF THE WORLD UNITE!!!!!!!!!!

i own a plushie of him and it’s so goofy looking. 10/10, great to watch tv with, very strangleable. (should probably have marked the ‘SQUEAK’ square for that… oh well)

i saw theories that he may die or get badly hurt in the series or the next movie which. 1. crazy 2. if that happens i will start crying and never stop. hurt this man and you will have to face my wrath

also his voice acting is very good. him singing ‘hello’ very very quietly will never not be funny to me
