i don't think you know how much he loves you.

you are his whole WORLD and he'd give anything to be with you

he's definitely bordering on clingy, always wanting to be near you but understanding if that can't always happen (though he pouts and mopes)

then again, he also depends on you for a lot of his happiness and emotional stability.

his mood swings like a pendulum based on your every action. even more so during king John era. he tries not to make you worry but his anger is inevitable and he'd end up lashing out on you.

yet, in his heart, he wants the best for you. he holds you high up onto a pedestal and has a lot of respect for you.

during his cripple arc, many people would also target you by association based on if you were weaker than them, and the low tiers definitely mocked your relationship.

he put on a nonchalant face for you but became deeply insecure about how you felt about it. whether or not he was lying didn't matter if you thought it was true.

he contemplated if he should be honest with you. however, he stalls long enough that eventually, when you tell him that you're not bothered by it, all his anxiety washes away.

has he said how much he loves you?

overall, he'd never be the best boyfriend, but as long as his mentality is okay, then he strives to be.

Arlo

he doesn't think he's that much different really. all he does is walk you to class, help you do your homework, write notes for you, save you the triple chocolate cake-

okay, maybe he's a little different.

he definitely thinks that love is conditional. so, he tries to maintain his usefulness as a boyfriend by doing things for you. not like he minds, but its much less out of the goodness of his heart than you think it is.

still he tries! if you're weaker than him then everyone already knows that you're off limits with any type of bullying or violence against you. you're "his", and that makes his heart flutter more than he likes to admit.

not unsurprisingly, you're not immune to his negative traits.

there will be times where he'll lie to you for his best interest. you might ask him to be gentler to Wellston's opponents during turf wars and he'll say "okay", only for you to find out that all the opponents got hospitalized.

he doesn't lie to hurt you, in fact, he lies in order to keep from upsetting you. he isn't that emotionally in tune but he knows when something he does will impact you. so, isn't he just sparing you?

overall, he's very protective over you. not the best boyfriend, but investing in a lie detector might prove more useful than actually expecting him to communicate effectively.

Blyke

you guys probably placed cutest couple in some not-so-secret school wide vote. and how could you not?

you guys are always next to each other, but not enough to be annoying to everyone else. the "conjoined at the hip" and "where's your other half" are everyone's first sentence once they notice you both aren't together.

and he's so soft towards you. like he'll look at you and just smile, basking in your presence. when he says he'll do anything for you, he means it, and you know he does.

he'd like to take you out to different places, all very casual. having a gym date or a picnic is one of the many activities you two do together.

that said, insecurity is an evil, ugly thing.

you know deep down that no matter how long you stay by his side, there's no way you'll ever be apart of "The Trio", four's a crowd if you couldn't already tell by the secret inside jokes they whisper around each other or how they disappear at night randomly and only are back in the dawn of the morning.

once you find out about the vigilante stuff, you are tempted to tell him to stop, that he's risking his life. but you know that it's only an ultimatum, "me, or them?". an ultimatum you're destined to lose.

so, you stay quiet. and he does too. because you know, he knows. and he knows, if it ever came down to it, what he'd chose.

overall, there isn't a fault to be found with this cutie pie. he's cute, you're cute, and together, you're the cutest. so, stay in your place, wouldn't want to ruin anything now would you?

Isen

yall are so annoying together its actually insane.

like you both compliment each other so well that its like having two isens all the time, always making sarcastic comments and unhelpful tidbits.

you know-it-alls are the schools worst nightmare. if you're in the press club as well then everyone is always on high alert. they never know when one of you might catch them red-handed and then plaster it on every wall of the school, ruining their reputation, getting them expelled, taking their health insurance away-

but when you're alone, you guys are each other's best friends. he'd be really comfortable being vulnerable with you and telling you secrets, he'd trust you a lot and you'd be his biggest confidant.

which is great until arlo wants to know something and diverts his wrath onto you instead

depending on how strong you are, you aren't really that afraid of arlo or john which leads to moments where he's hiding behind you while you stare up at the two god-tiers.

but, despite it all, you face the same struggles as blyke's s/o

no matter how much you mean to him, it will always pale in comparison to what they mean to him. he might tell you about the vigilante stuff first, though only after mounting pressure.

before you can even get a word out, he yells that he won't stop, that he can't leave them alone. you wonder, "you can't leave them but you can with me?"

maybe you argue, maybe you don't, but he's made his choice.

overall, you're both insufferable. but you're insufferable together, and that's all that matters right? he loves you, so don't give him a reason not to.

What if Unordinary Characters were from the Avatar world?

John, Sera, Blyke, Isen, Remi, Arlo, William, not exactly on that order.

Blyke

If for Ability alone, I think Blyke would be a fire bender. Mostly because of the Specialized Technique of Combustion Bending or whatever it's called, I think it's extremely similar to the beans he shots on the series. On additional note, he has red hair lol.

Isen

Now Isen was kind of a hard one. No where near Sera and John type of hard— but still hard. Now becomes clear he'd be a Earth Bender. Like Toph, I belive Isen would end up learning to locate himself by his feet, and feel If people are lying through hearing/feeling their hearts (Seismic Sense). Because of the nature of Tracking I think it's a pretty good fit.

Remi

Remi also quite easy to pin point, she'd be a Fire Bender specialized in lighting. Generation and Redirection of lighting, thought she is a Fire bender she almost never would use fire bending on itself. Same thing would go for Rei.

Arlo

Arlo could easily be a Air Bender or a Earth Bender. I was thinking Air Bender because of the way he Uses his barrier, heavely depending in Recoil Damage and using it to squeeze others inside of it. But also Earth bending because of his passive and how John came to use his barrier in some fights. I mostly think he'd lean to Air bending thought.

John

He's either the avatar or an Air bender and you know It! Him being the Avatar is quite obvious, so let me explain why I think he'd be an Air Bender— is the one element that can easily pass for others.

If there's a fire Neary or He's fighting against a Fire bender, he can easily use the air to use that fire against them. Wouldn't be as nearly effective but it's possible. Same thing with water and earth. Someone throwing rocks at you? You can easily use air to throw it back. You see my point? Also the whole connection to the spirit world and how John has a much deeper understanding of aura than the rest.

Sera

I've got no f*cking idea actually. Sera's ability is the hardest one to Pin point what Element would it be. At first I considered water, seeing how she could rewind her injuries. But it didn't felt right. Fire and Earth are out of question. Air just doesn't really make sense. I'm at lost.

William H. Doe

This man is cleary a Non-Bender, HOWEVER, he's a master at Hand-in-Hand combat and he's a master at Chi-Blocking and YOU KNOW IT!! In the world of Avatar where Benders don't expect to suddenly be unable to bend, or move, this man's is a monster. Once he stops being a Pacifist it's over for you bitches! He definetly also Taught John all that he knows.

I just find it odd that almost 400 chapters in we haven't gotten Arlos backstory. We've gotten the backstories for KEENE and TERRENCE but uru won't disclose Arlo's backstory :( This might mean that it's super important to the plot later though....

Wellston top 8 students as cards! And why I care too much about this

Seraphina: Queen of Clovers -> Ace of Spades

John: Joker

Arlo: King of Diamonds

Remi: Jack of Diamonds -> Queen of Hearts

Cecile: Jack of Spades

Blyke: Ten of Hearts -> Jack of Hearts -> King of Clovers

Isen: Seven of Clovers -> Jack of Clovers

Terrence: Eight of Diamonds

I used Clovers as the suit name instead of the traditional Clubs because clovers are associated with luck (even though these aren’t the four leaf ones), and the Class of Clovers (John/Sera/Blyke/Isen’s year, possibly also Terrence’s) was ridiculously and disproportionately overpowered.

First I want to address Cecile actually she’s weirdly the linchpin in all this. I made her the Jack because I do think she was the Jack that Remi dethroned (while Sera was still Queen), and I ended up choosing Spades for her as it’s the war-like suit that fits the order of Unordinary’s world, as well as her lack of hesitance to use her power to get the job done.

I ended up taking a lot of inspiration from the game of New Texis Hold ‘Em Sera plays with John and William early on. In it, the community cards are the Ten of Hearts, King of Diamonds, and Jack of Clovers. I wanted to make these match up with the Royals at the time.

Given that, it seemed obvious that Arlo would be the King of Diamonds; the untouchable king. Remi would fit neatly as the Jack of Clovers, which kind of fits the relative backseat she seems to have initially taken as the Queen early on. Nobody respects her authority, and the power transfer does seem to be recent. That was kind of a justification I used to say she’s not in her final form yet.

I gave Blyke then the Ten of Hearts, as he’s the third Royal but honestly really shouldn’t be anywhere near the Royals, even if he’s got the spirit of it.

The cards in Sera’s hand are the Queen and Ace of Spades. Seeing as she rose from the role of Queen to the Ace, and the Ace is the most powerful card in the game, I assigned her the Ace of Spades pretty much automatically. Plus she has Ace of Spades imagery, which I pointed out before. But I’d like to reserve the Queen of Spades, and instead make Sera start as the Queen of Clovers. Again, that’s her set in with the rest of the Class of Clovers. When Sera ascends to Ace of Spades, Remi becomes the Queen… and I think it’s not hard to agree that Remi is the Queen of Hearts

With most of Wellston’s Top Five covered, I just wanna check in on John; not much to say here as he’s the Joker, plain and simple. This also ties into that card game hehe

I’d rather do Terrence before Isen, so here goes: he pretty much just goes along with the hierarchy and isn’t driven by his own agenda, so he could be one of the counting cards. I picked Eight since that was the rank he died at. He doesn’t fall under any of the other suits easily, so I just picked Diamonds to isolate him.

I imagine Isen starting at Seven of Clovers, since he entered in that class and ended at that rank. He gets to ascend to Jack, just as he did in story, and he maintains his Clover class.

Meanwhile, Blyke is promoted to Jack of Hearts, since he spends a lot of his time as Jack basically being Remi’s lieutenant. He doesn’t actually get serious about the role until after X-Rei visits Brannish, and by that point his dethronement from Jack is already imminent. So directly from Jack of Hearts, he gets to rise to King of Clovers. He really was a King of the people, and we see that in how people respond to his ascension to the role. So he gets to take the King role in the Clovers suite, finally leaving Hearts as he’s found his own motivation beyond Remi’s.

Career Head-canons of the Main Cast

John - I don't think he would go to university/college, since his grades are lowkey shitty (he doesn't seem to enjoy studying tbh). I think he is the type of person to go into the trades. I see him becoming a mechanic or something similar. I feel like he would want to do a job where he can use his hands. Seraphina - She gives very Physics/women in STEM vibes. I also feel like she would be interested in outer space. I see her going on to study Astrophysics. Arlo - He gives heavy politician vibes, especially since he has already been in leadership positions (he was the school King) and has an aunt who works for the authorities.

Isen - Pilot or Engineer. Don't ask me why it just makes sense to me.

Blyke - Athlete vibes. I can see him playing soccer for his college. Remi - She would study the humanities. I see her studying either Social Justice or Creative Writing. Remi is the type of person to either center her career around creativity or helping others.

Opinions on isen?

PEEEEEAK SO FUCKING PEAK. still not one of my faves but he's very interesting and his character development was VERYY fun to watch. watching a character grow a backbone is one of the most intriguing things to see happen, and everytime he interacted with john was like. a car crash. you just cant look away.
