☕️ the overtake of maxiel by lestappen as the primary max ship

I think it's more interesting to analyse this with what's happening to carlando slowly being overtaken by landoscar as primary lando ship slowly and the tldr is ships change when dominant perceptions of the character changes. (obviously all the ships listed here are still hugely popular, nobody felled off, I'm talking about a change in trends)

when DTS first came out, daniel was already primed to be the star. he was the personality, he was funny, handsome, likeable and the story of future world champion vs talented young teammate the team is prioritising is compelling. max, on the other hand, was this young and brash, hungry for winning at any cost, seemingly asshole but then surprise he has a tragic childhood backstory and what he really needs is to be loved (cock in hole) to fix him. if you watch the teammate compilations from that era, maxiel just makes sense. max who is 😠 on DTS, is googly eyed giggling at everything DR says even when it's not funny. how can two guys who are so competitive on track yet have such a great relationship off track? they gotta fuck it out. prime rpf time.

carlando while less competitive has that same teammate narrative, older guy falling in the role of caretaker while the younger guy is socially awkward, anxious baby with their inside jokes (cabron) to be fixed with love (🍆🍩)

the reason why dando never popped off the way maxiel and carlando did because they already had each other's archetypes. lando already had the older teammate top with carlos and daniel already had the younger teammate to charm with max, so dando never got to get big before lando started beating DR and DR wasn't a competitive teammate so the narrative was a lesser one

come 2022. max verstappen is reigning world champion. DR has not only not won any, but is currently flopping at mclaren. the influx of new f1 fans after the whirlwind of a season that was 2021 and DTS's popularity has exploded. and max's competition now is the pretty boy from Ferrari. the narrative of DR fixing Max who is 🥺 from bad parenting tag my behated just doesn't add up. That story is already from 3 teammates ago. Max is now the guy to beat, he's the guy who is winning. He's big, broad, confident and dominating the grid. I will give lestappies credit here, they ran such a potent propaganda campaign that if you were a new fan in 2022 you would totally believe that charles in Ferrari is obviously going to win the championship next year and not this is a freak ferrari good year. Now charles is the 🥺 one with an even more tragic backstory and looking so beautifully devastated after ferrari fucks up his races he was supposed to win, monaco! he is now the new hole 2 be fixed with love and max is the top now.

here's my hot take. lestappen probably wouldn't be as big if max had a more fandom approved fuckable teammate for a consistent amount of time. pierre and alex and checo in 2021 were teammates far too short to really get its own standing and compete with maxiel. and fandom never bit on chestappen because once again, daniel already filled that older teammate for max role. (and there's a whole thing ab beauty standards and perceived femininity and popular yaoi ships mirroring m/f dynamics)

why carlando is still going strong is because carlos and lando still frequently hang out, he was at his family's wedding, his dad praises lando all the time so new fans can see there's a whole boatload of lore to dig in. maxiel don't party in the same circles or hang out v much, so to a newer fan charles winking at max after pole is easier to get into.

but the surge in landoscar popularity is because lando's now certified frat boy DJ and now oscar is the younger, super competitive teammate who has a kind of crush on lando, they're both cute! now oscar is the kind of socially awkward always sleepy one, while lando's partying with the whole grid. the lestappen and landoscar appeal of the theyre Equals and "idiots in love" shedding off their previous wide eyed anxious virgins in f1 characterization for the new era, as their perception by fandom grows so does the ship

*obvious addendums: does this mean every maxiel ship is top daniel? no ofc not, but it was the popular narrative to the point writing bottom daniel was subversive

I personally enjoy lestappen as switches but the more they follow bottom charles/top max as canon the less I idgaf it

My Post-May the Fourth Bad Batch Thoughts

To start off, I was So excited for the finale I stayed up to watch it when it came out (1am in my time zone) and idk it didn’t feel worth it to do that during finals week after watching the ep

Maybe I had too high expectations but I figured that to wrap up the entire show we’d at least get an hour? Maybe more? I was hoping for something like the s1 premiere but no 51 minutes and you suffer.

Ok I've decided to put my thoughts into 15 minute increments for Organization Purposes

Part One thoughts:

Ok so right away I feel the "wrecker is gonna die" vibes. "Can you make it?" "Try and stop me." It feels very final it feels like he won't. I def thought my first time around that he wasn't gonna make it

The way Hemlock holds that gloved hand... I thought surely that had to be important somehow. I've been wondering about it since he was introduced.

Echo looks like handsome squidward sorry

The way Omega rewires the droid.. Tech. But the way she starts giving orders to the rest of the kids is so Hunter. She really is her fathers' (plural) daughter.

Sidenote the way her theme combines with a light, string-heavy version of the Bad Batch theme while she and the kids are getting ready to leave the vault... mmmm me when music

Ok back to the Batch and ough.. Wrecker is seriously hurt this had me so nervous they're out of med patches I thought for Sure he was gone

Imagine you're in the military and you get sent to some super secret boring base and your whole job is to stand around and guard a submerged lizard (?) and you're already confused and over it and then you find a bunch of kids in your walls???

WOw this is really minor but the cut from the kids and the Zillo to Echo and Emerie at 9:46 felt Really awkward. That's all.

Jax is afraid of heights! Just like Wrecker!! Good character moment for everybody.

Part 1 TLDR: The first third of this episode was full of contrast, which was super interesting to watch. Omega and the kids are doing great, the lighting on them is generally softer and.. idk, lighter. They get hopeful music and they succeed. The Batch on the other hand..... everything is so ominous. It feels like somebody's gonna die (and it feels like it's Wrecker). My main gripes: some of the jump cuts feel like the episode was hastily stitched together and they don't make sense, I don't really know what to do with that knowledge. The Plan 99 conversation didn't make any sense within the context of this season (I'll elaborate later). Positives: Omega is really winning this ep, you can see all of her brothers in her and it's beautiful. What they've done with her theme in the music I Love. That moment with Omega and Jax when he says he's afraid of heights is really sweet.

Part Two Thoughts:

Ok starting off strong, Scorch questioning his orders for a bit? He's going to lose brothers? The door closes before we can hear what he says over the comm? I really thought maybe Scorch redemption.

Ok Hemlock is activating the CXs. There's four of them.

They all have different armor.. and different body types.. very similar to the batch....... hmmmmmmm

CX-2!! *clown noises*

Ok close up on the same CXs from before. One of them uses blades. One has.. sci-fi brass knuckles? CX-2 is there. This feels like Evil Bad Batch.

THE CLOSE UP ON CX-2 SPECIFICALLY WHY IS HE IMPORTANT

Ok Vibro-Sword CX, why toss the Sword to CX-2 so he can cut off Crosshair's hand? Why not just do it yourself? Those things have enough reach that he could have sliced it off himself.

The way CX-2 talks is Just like Crosshair. The inflections are exactly the same.

Ok I get Hemlock's a sadist but why keep the Batch alive at all? Seems like that's more dangerous than experimenting on them is productive

Echo and Omega's reunion is lovely. "Hey kid. And... other kids." he's doing amazing

Ok so crosshair just gets a hand stump and we move on?? This whole scene felt weird and out of place to me but Especially that.

GOGGLES AGAIN WITH THE SWORDS?? WhY isn't CX-2 fighting with the rest why is he with Hemlock why does he stand out so much WHY

"My work will always be Kaminoan" yeah Nala Se isn't redeemed for me she's still a supremacist and a eugenicist and she and Rampart both deserved what they got. Satisfying ending for them both though.

Part 2 TLDR: This part had a ton of potential. There were a lot of suspenseful and mysterious shots. The story started getting more intense, even though the kids escaped successfully. There was weight there, and as an audience we could tell how much was on the line. I loved watching this part. My main gripes: Honestly none with this part alone. All of it felt pretty in-character, it had depth, it had weight, and it had meaning in the story. It makes less sense when we get to Part 3 though. Positives: I absolutely loved watching this part of the ep. It had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out just what was going on with the CXs and who wasn't going to make it out. Giving Echo the chance to continue his brother's mission and free the clones was great. Nala Se and Rampart both got a fitting end, I was very satisfied with that as well.

Part Three Thoughts:

Wrecker is fighting Staff Guy (possibly Evil Wrecker) oh that would've been so cool

And they just STABBED HIM?? JUST LIKE THAT?? What was with the focus on CX-2 throughout the ENTIRE SEASON when he literally Didn't Matter At All???

We're not even gonna talk about the hand then huh. Ok.

Closeup of the Goggles Helmet?? What was the purpose. What was it.

And then they have SOmeone pick up the sword and helmet all ominously and then it's just some guy. We see his face. It kinda looks too small for his body. Like bad photoshop

Ok so echo doesn't have lungs? or like..

There is Such a focus on the Goggles. Like we were never supposed to see his face. Like it was maybe supposed to be suspenseful.

Ok why so ominous if Wrecker is just gonna shove his face into a wall instantly? Why all the suspense and cool shots?

When CX-2's ship blew up I thought for sure it was from Rex or Phee's ship. But no. (can regular DC-15s even Do that?)

SCORCH?? Ok so he could have been some random guy and it wouldn't have made a difference. What was the purpose. Why did he have a name? Why bring in a Legends character just to get rid of him in the most anticlimactic way possible?

Hemlock threatening Omega literally doesn't make any sense? It carries Zero weight. Omega even brings it up and Hemlock doesn't respond. Because it doesn't make sense for his character. Why.

Nice little callback with Crosshair's shoulder rest

Crosshair shooting Omega's binders off should be a tense moment but it's not. There's nothing at stake here. We know he won't shoot Omega. What am I supposed to be feeling?

Ok seeing Hemlock just get absolutely Pelted was nice

She hugged Crosshair first. Maybe we can start resolving some of his guilt. If we actually took time to show characters processing their emotions.

We're Still not talking about the hand? That feels notable, is that just me???

Ok and everyone just.. leaves. We just leave. It's done? Where was the climax supposed to be genuine question

Ok so we're namedropping now. Project Stardust with a nice subtle imperial march in the background. Okay?

We are back on Pabu now. The clone kids are there. The clones are there. The kids are there. Emerie is there. Everybody's happy.

Where is Phee?

Echo's ending is actually fine. I went into this ep the first time thinking for Sure he was going to die. Instead he's doing what Fives died trying to do. He's the last Domino but he doesn't have to fall and I think that's ok. But why isn't he with Rex in Rebels?

"With Hemlock gone, and his data destroyed, they're finally safe" - M. Night Shyamalan in the ATLA movie because we must Tell our audience Everything. Seriously why are we telling the audience something they can see? Why does Omega say that out loud? Nobody would say that. It's obvious. That line was just SO out of place

No real goodbyes for Echo though? No sweet character moments? No reactions from anyone?

Nice clones theme though. Fives would be proud.

All the dialogue between Omega and Hunter in this final scene just feels so.. off. Lazy. Show us what's going on, don't tell.

Why do Crosshair and Wrecker feel like such an afterthought here? Why is it so Awkward? Why were they over saying goodbye to Echo and Omega and Hunter weren't? It feels like they weren't supposed to make it out. It feels weird. It feels forced.

Part 3 TLDR: This was the part of the ep that just fell flat for me. It had some cool moments, but it felt really rushed and poorly thought out. It feels very out of place with the previous 30mins. It almost feels to me like it was rewritten, although I may just be delusional. My main gripes: This part of the ep should have had the big emotional moments and also wrapped up all the loose ends introduced in the rest of the season. It did none of that for me. Why cut off Crosshair's hand to have none of the characters really acknowledge his sacrifice? That isn't a resolution to his arc. None of the Things that happened to the Batch this season were processed at all, and everyone except Hunter and Omega was pretty much sidelined towards the end. CX-2, who was built up all season, died in a super unsatisfying way. The dialogue and staging of that final scene felt super off. The cavalry never arrived. Positives: As always, the Kiners killed it. The music was great. I love a happy ending, that rarely happens in Star Wars and I would've absolutely eaten it up under the right circumstances. Watching Hemlock finally get it was super satisfying. Echo's ending as a continuation of the Domino Squad's quest for clone individuality was really fitting actually. That One shot of Tantiss... glorious.

Epilogue Thoughts:

The way the city is set up on Pabu makes it look just like Tantiss in the overhead shot.

Omega's lil salute like Tech in S2E4 Faster my heart

Where are Crosshair and Wrecker in the epilogue. It feels like a weird choice to leave them out. They're just as much her dads as Hunter is.

Epilogue TLDR: Honestly I liked that this was their ending. Finally, some Star Wars characters can have peace. With that said, My main gripes: significant lack of Crosshair and Wrecker, who absolutely wouldn't have let omega leave without saying goodbye. Similarly, lack of Phee, who seemed to be becoming a mother figure to Omega. I can't imagine she wouldn't have seen her daughter off. Positives: old Hunter. We don't get to see that many clones age, and Rebels animation, as much as I love it, just didn't quite do it justice. It was great to see some characters get to actually live out full (ish) lives at peace. Also older Omega's character design was peak.

Oooookay so this ended up being a Lot longer than I intended it to be when I started writing it but I just had a lot of thoughts on the finale and needed to put them somewhere. I loved the experience of being a part of the Bad Batch fandom from start to finish, and I made some great memories for sure. While the finale wasn't necessarily what I was hoping for from this show, I loved being delusional with everybody. Plus, this isn't the end. (we know they won't give up the clone wars animation style it makes them too much money)

tell me about the greater themes applied to lancelot riot I would like to know 👁️

Okay so, before I start, i neurotically need to give my disclaimer: all of this is primarily based on how I handle lancelot's characterization both in my original content and with fan-content related to the Fate series, i'm not trying to claim that this is Fate's intention with the character, nor am I trying to claim that this is a theme of the original arthurian tales. While my themes did come from a lot of those stories, I'm not a historian nor a medievalist nor particularly smart in general, i'm just Some Guy who thinks about knights till they get nauseous.

The general thematic throughline tied to lancelot in all of my stuff is. Objectification primarily. He's socially objectified by a society that deems him greatest of all knights, reducing him to a knight and bringer of violence before a person. He's objectified by people who view him first and foremost as a handsome "man"^ before a Person. When he's having his multiple mental breaks, he's often viewed as a madman to be pitied before a person to be helped.

^this is also slightly tied with the theme, because lancelot is NOT a cis man, but despite how he feels about his own gender, he's repeatedly viewed as one. He's repeatedly described as being handsome, broad shouldered, perfect muscles, an ideal man, and the one thing that people describe about his body as being "imperfect" is his chest being broader than it "should" be (in my lancelot, it's gynecomastia, something that he never viewed as a problem or even knew was "abnormal" until he left the Lady's lake and entered the wider society of camelot/england). (i was going to add a screenshot of the book section here that i referenced but i straight up can NOT FUCKING FIND IT i spent like half an hour looking for it but i didn't make it up i prommy)

Like he gets kidnapped a fucking LOT, to the point of becoming desensitized to it. He's repeatedly seen as a Thing to be taken as a bargaining chip rather than. Y'know. a Person. He's seen as a sword for Camelot- and even Galehaut, at first, sees him as a gorgeous bringer of violence before a person- though he does desire to know the person behind that violence. Even his son, at first, sees him as a great knight to be defeated and prove that Galahad is greater than him (demonstrated in my stuff with Galahad's knighting fight, wherein he chooses to fight Lancelot to prove his place at the round table not too long after first arriving, and in the fight, takes advantage of a weak point of Lancelot's, kicking in his bad knee, causing him to best Lancelot- but at the cost of like Genuenly causing him a shit ton of pain).

And that's not even mentioning Elaine of Corbenic. He's very obviously not interested in her, and Elaine, only wanting the the object of her affection, rather than the person, drugs and rapes him TWICE, under a thin viel of using "fate" and "prophecies" of bearing the grail knight as an excuse. I straight up do not give a fuck if people try to claim that she's "morally grey" or whatever. Die.

But so that's like the pre-emptive context of My Lancelot Themes, tldr; He's repeatedly objectified. Everything past this point is Strictly about my headcanons for specifically Fate's versions of Lancelot (Both saber and berserker), as well as Chevalier Mal Fet, a third variant of Lancelot made for my fanlostbelt Doggerland.

This theme is EASILY applied to berserker Lancelot, like, what's more objectifying than becoming a shadow of your purest, most violent self. He's repeatedly called a mad dog, and other names alluding to being only capable of violence in this state, with his madness enhancement only making his mental state Worse. Even one of his Noble Phantasm's, For Someone's Glory, whittles him down from "Lancelot" to "Berserker", hiding his identifying marks, leaving only a literal shadow of armor. (which, this also ties to The Gender Thing, because berserker lancelot LITERALLY SAYS "this body is not something to be idolized" or smth to that effect in fate/zero i'll get the screenshot and put it below with the direct quote.)

Now with saber Lancelot it's. A little more complicated. Since saber Lancelot is specifically from Fate Grand Order, and is thus subject to an insane amount of flanderization depending on who's writing him and if he's in an event, im going PRIMARILY off of the lancelot we see in the camelot chapter, as well as just. a lot of personal hcs.

Saber lancelot, somewhat similarly to Berserker, has kind of given in to the objectification for a lack of better words? In one of his lines, he specifically refers to him and his blade as being one, and saying that all he has is his swordsmanship. He defines HIMSELF as only being good for his sword, and even literally says Out Loud With His Mouth that he dislikes himself, and his only wish would be for Arthur to pass judgement on him for the whole affair thing. His bio even references that he believes that berserker should be the only class suited for him.

Saber lancelot doesn't have any specifically gender-related stuff so this is fucking. ALL Riot's fun zone for this next paragraph but lancelot's repressed. like REALLY. REALLY repressed. He cloaks himself in manhood like armor, fearing what might be seen underneath- and that manifests Literally in his armor. His exaggerated pauldrons give him an even more broad shouldered silhouette emphasizing a more "masculine"^ body shape. ^Not that broad shoulders are or should be considered masculine in and of themselves but it's moreso feeding into how other people see him in a ouroboros of dysphoria.

Literally. I have a whole fucking rewrite of the agartha singularity in my brain with the subplot about him recognizing that it's like Okay if he's not a man, and finally starting to allow himself to reckon with and start to heal from the Elaine-related trauma.

And all of this leads to Chevalier Mal Fet. Oh, Mal Fet.

For context, his name comes from one of Lancelot's bouts of madness, where he referred to himself only as "Chevalier Mal Fet", meaning "the ill-made knight".

Lancelot is summoned into the Doggerland lostbelt by the counterforce or whatever, (saber or berserker, it doesn't matter. The outcome's the same either way.) and he's found by Dr. Moreau.

Moreau is just another in a long, long line of people viewing Lancelot as a Thing rather than a Person, but Moreau sees Lancelot as something more than just a knight or a bringer of violence or a sexual object.

He views Lancelot as a guinea pig. It isn't uncommon to see dogs used in medical testing- Moreau's a doctor, a scientist, after all.

He's a pet project for Moreau to take apart and put back together, murmuring to himself that this knight is ill-made indeed. But he knows how to fix him, make him something better.

Moreau's human, after all, he knows better than some silly dog.

Moreau has always been one to push beyond what others may think is impossible. Using Mal Fet, he attempts to do a forced class switch, giving Mal Fets the strength of a berserker with the rationality and delicate swordwork of a saber. It worked- but only on a technicality. Rather than Mal Fet being both a saber and a berserker at the same time, his damaged and unstable spirit core rather oscillates RAPIDLY between the two classes, the only thing keeping his core from shattering and letting him die and return to the throne is Moreau, of course.

Lancelot, the person under the armor, is reduced to an object once more. A spectacle, a guard dog, a test subject.

And the way I often see fandom portray him - hilarious inept friend.

And the way he portrays himself - best friend of a certain Jedi master who is always willing to help, for a price.

And the heinous acts he is able to get away with because of this Jack Sparrow like representation.

When we see him in Rebels, it is a glowing representation of him as a scoundrel.

He loves the Jedi

He and Ezra are adorable together

He misses his Jedi best friend.

When we meet him in The Clone Wars, he’s hilarious, mostly harmless, and pretty helpful

Captures Dooku, Anakin, and Obi-wan with the goal to ransom them back to the Republic. Yay, the good guys!

Takes weapons to Onderon. Yay! Overthrow the separatist oppressors

Tries to steal kyber crystals from younglings - that’s not great, but no one got hurt and he definitely thought they could just get more. No harm, no foul?

Attempts to sell a teenage girl…. *insert record scratch here*

Everyone, and I mean everyone, loves to gloss over that last part. Fans, the entirety of the rest of canon, hell even the end of that arc, love to gloss over the fact that THAT MAN TRIED TO SELL AHSOKA.

Not ransom her back to the Republic, not sell her to the separatists.

No, he captured a teenage girl and was going to sell her to someone who specifically wanted to buy a female Jedi.

He told us this!

The truth is, I have my sights set on more nefarious criminals than I, a businessman who will pay handsomely for a Jedi.

A female Jedi at that.

This is the last arc of The Clone Wars he is in.

Later, in this exact episode, he tells us he killed an entire circus troupe because he didn’t like their act!

I would hate to be forced to cut off their heads like I did to your last act.

You remember those guys.

I would hate for her to miss the show

which I'm hoping will be better than last time.

We learn so much about Hondo in this episode and it all seems to be telling us the same thing - don’t forget this guy is a bad guy. Like a very bad guy.

He seems to like Anakin and Obi-wan, so they don’t get the worst of him.

Ahsoka does not have that luxury. He is going to sell her to the highest bidder. The type of scum to say they don’t just want to say they own a Jedi, they want to own a female Jedi. We all saw the Zyggeria arc. We all know what he is talking about.

And what is worse is Obi-wan doesn’t even think anything like this is a possibility! Because he and Hondo are friends or something.

Obi-wan: We shall deal with Hondo on Florrum.

Youngling: Will Ahsoka be all right?

Obi-wan: Hondo would be even more of a fool than I think he is to hurt her.

Guess what General - HE IS GOING TO SELL HER!

And he would have continued to try if Grievous hadn’t shown up to ruin his plans.

He did not see the light and change from his murdering of circus troupe and selling sentient beings ways, a bigger bad showed up and he allied himself with the person he just tried to sell because she is a Jedi and still believed his life was worth saving.

And yet this saving his own skin behavior seems to have completely wiped the stain of tried to sell a whole person off of him. Because it’s adorable how he immediately cared for Katooni and that is all people seem to remember from that arc.

No, it isn’t adorable. At all. If Katooni had been a few years older he would have looked at her and seen profits too.

If Ahsoka hadn’t been so concussed from Grievous throwing her around, she would have mentioned the whole trying to sell her thing to someone.

Why You Should Watch 少年歌行 | The Blood of Youth

TLDR: Super good, you should absolutely watch this! Not at all a BL/danmei but from what the donghua gave, there’s quite a healthy bit of bromance and brotherhood between the two male leads, and this show has comedy, plot, excellent pacing, exciting wugong moves and conspiracy, plus tons of gorgeous women and men who can all fight!!! CGI is great too, I initially thought this was gonna be a trashy but funny and moderately good wuxia drama but it’s really well-made and it is still funny and really good on all fronts.

*It has a donghua but I haven’t watched it!!!

Summary: 

Xiao Se is a handsome but relatively poor inn owner in the middle of nowhere on some snowtop mountain, and said inn barely sees any visitors year after year. Just as Xiao Se is deciding whether or not to sell the inn, they finally get one visitor, a young traveler, Lei Wujie who’s traversing jianghu for the very first time on his own, and then they soon get a bunch of hooligans who want to rob the inn. Lei Wujie ‘saves’ Xiao Se by defeating the hooligans but in the process damage the inn; Xiao Se demands payment and Lei Wujie says he needs to get to Xue Yue City to find money to pay him back essentially, so Xiao Se follows him out of his inn in the mountains on a journey.

Along the way, they stumble upon Tang Lian, a skilled and well-known disciple of a famous shifu from Xue Yue City, who’s guarding and escorting a golden coffin to another city, not knowing what is in the coffin. He’s been hunted down repeatedly and ambushed by multiple groups of skilled experts, all coveting what’s inside the golden coffin. Xiao Se and Lei Wujie get accidentally embroiled in the mess, and then realize along the way that a monk - Wu Xin - is in the coffin. And everyone is after Wu Xin, from the demonic sects to other sects in the pugilistic world, all the way to the royal palace. 

As Xiao Se and Lei Wujie end up traveling with Wu Xin, conspiracies and past feuds unravel, and Xiao Se is not who he seems to be.

Xiao Se/Xiao Chuhe (Li Hongyi): The exiled 6th prince who was once a prodigy in martial arts and cultivation before he lost all of it after an attack, and he’s been at the inn ever since. Very well informed of everyone and who’s who, plus all the big happenings in the pugilistic world. Nonchalant, dealing with some issues, very bold and haughty (rightfully so), and this man was a prince and skilled fighter from before too, HAS A LOT OF BAGGAGE, banters a lot with Lei Wujie (cuz this boy is dumb) and is forced to face his demons with the help of Wu Xin. Mysterious, but not really because the moment he walks out everyone knows him like come on he’s the beloved 6th prince before he was exiled

Wu Xin (Liu Xueyi): The son of the demonic sect head before his dad went to war with the royals and was betrayed and defeated, and the demonic sect had to send him over to the royal palace as a hostage, but he gets ‘adopted’ by an old monk and is taught everything that he knows (and was loved) by the old monk. He looks very demonic LMAO more than a monk, super skilled, known for his magic eyes, and he kidnaps Xiao Se and Lei Wujie to be his companions, has a bit of daddy issues too and a lot of pent up anger from when he was younger, but also like super zen at times, and then flippant at other times

Lei Wujie: Dumb husky or golden retriever. Very skilled, pure-hearted, but still very young. SO DAMN FUNNY!!!

Why You Should Watch This:

1. Possible bromance between Wu Xin and Xiao Se - So far they’ve been very brotherhood but I expect that all to change soon, their first meeting is hilarious af this is the first thing they say to each other, when Wu Xin asked if Xiao Se would accompany him to place and bro went “No wtf”

I mean look at how demonic and slutty Wu Xin is with his eyes and that jawline and see how close they sitting to each other even though Xiao Se is like get-away-from-me

GUYS WE REALY DO GET BROMANCE!!! HAHAHAHA also i was wrong xiao se at this point isn’t the 团宠 just yet, wu xin is!!! he’s the center of attention do you know how many people ran to catch him when he fainted?!?!??!

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands - Spoiler Free Review

I'll preface this by saying I'm not going to be giving a number / star review as it just gets too difficult and there are too many factors involved. There's a lot of text below the cut. Like, a lot. I have an English degree and I enjoy being wordy.

TLDR: Game good. Give it a try. Hotfixes and patches will knock this into one of the best Border-verse games out there.

Cons - (Because I want to end on a high note)

Farming / Loot Luck System - With drop rates tied to loot luck (and yes, even dedicated drops), and loot luck tied to 260 Dice hidden around the Wonderlands, it's going to get very old searching out these dice for each new character just to have "normal" drop rates for farming. As of now I don't hate it, because I only really have one save and I'm enjoying the challenge of finding them all... but after my second or third character hunting dice to have a standard 10% drop rate? Not ideal.

Continuing with this system, there are many named / unique enemies that don't respawn in the typical fashion (Over 70 named / unique enemies as reported by some of the content creators). Instead, they will spawn in the endgame mode, Chaos Chambers. Unfortunately this feels like the launch of Bordelands 3 where rare spawns rarely showed up (yes, it's in the name I know), and then still having a 10% drop rate for the designated item, and further dividing that number for each dedicated drop they had. I'm hoping Wonderlands will see a similar fix that BL3 had but that remains to be seen.

Chaos Chamber (Endgame mode) - The designated endgame mode, Chaos Chamber, is actually a lot of fun. However I can already see where the fatigue is going to set in when this is one of the only ways to get many of the unique / legendary drops after the initial mission complete. On top of this, we just need more. Borderlands 3 suffered from the same issue at launch, not enough to do after you hit max level and the credits roll. At the end of the lifecycle of BL3 we had two takedowns (and the true takedowns), six proving grounds (six true trials), a traditional raid boss (or two depending on how you look at it), and the "faux-raid bosses" which are really just enemies with raid boss level health. So we got there with BL3, I am of the opinion that the endgame is in a great space. I hope we get there with Wonderlands.

Also, mob density. We need more. Right now the Chaos Chamber doesn't feel chaotic enough... and it's literally in the name. So mob density needs to go up.

DOT damage from water / puddles. It's ridiculous. Hits harder than most enemies in the game. Which I mostly notice in the CC but it's everywhere.

Gimmick / Meme Loot - In typical Borderlands fashion, there are a number of gimmick / meme pieces of gear in the game. And as of now, having beat the story at max level and progressing through the Chaos levels, there just seem to be too many of these items... I feel like I find more gimmicky, Legendary spells than I do viable ones and I just want more options. Haven't found them all, this may change.

Rated T (minor con) - I don't know, there are just some moments that lean into the "Every previous game has been rated M and this one is rated T and so we are going to be meta and make fun of it" and I don't know... It would have been better if we just had it rated M and didn't have to be Meta about the whole thing? Minor. Barely bothered me. But I'm mentioning it.

Pros -

Will Arnett as the Dragon Lord - After the *mostly* disappointing Calypso twin antagonists from Borderlands 3 (and I did not hate them as much as the community did, although they still weren't the best), Will Arnett as the Dragon Lord is so. damn. good. Probably one of my favorite things to come out of this game is how good this character really is. When I saw people saying he is giving Handsome Jack a run for his money I didn't believe it... I get it now. Phenomenal character, phenomenal writing, phenomenal performance. I don't want to say this character carried the game, because I love a lot about his game, but I have come close many times because he is that good.

Character Creator - I was shocked at how in depth the character creator is. Coming from a franchise that had fairly limited customization for the stock characters, it was so much fun to create characters. And after the first playthrough you unlock so many new cosmetics for a new character that it just becomes that much more fun creating a new one. OR! Changing the look of your current character because you can change damn near every aspect of your character at any point for no cost! Such a great addition to the game.

Six Character Classes (with future DLC additions) - I never had an issue with four playable characters. Which meant that getting two DLC playable characters for a couple games in the franchise was a bonus on an already great system. Having six classes to choose from at launch, and being able to apply that class to the character you created feels so great. And the ability to multi class at a fairly early point in the campaign just feels natural.

Level Design - Beautiful. So much fun. And the fact that there are no vehicles in this game (and I didn't feel like I was missing them) just goes to show that the team did an amazing job on the level design. The verticality after the quality of life improvements from BL3 (mantling, sliding, etc.) just makes searching for those secret chests and collectible a worthy challenge.

Chaos Chamber (Endgame mode) - Yes, this goes in both pros and cons. The Chaos Chamber is a lot of fun to play and you get to actually earn that increase in chaos level. I didn't hate the Mayhem system in BL3, I hated the OP system in BL2, and the Chaos Chambers / Chaos levels feel like a happy medium between the two. Plus, with DLC releases, we will get more maps, enemies, and bosses that will appear in the Chaos Chamber giving it a nice fresh touch after launch as content releases.

Story / Writing - I didn't hate the writing in Borderlands 3. I can see where people didn't like it... and I can think of plenty of moments that were either too drawn out or didn't need to be there at all (including some incredibly cringey moments) but isn't that Borderlands? Maybe someone will dislike me saying this, but it is my review, but I swear most of the "Borderlands 2 story and writing is so much better than Borderlands 3" is 1. Nostalgia, and 2. The existence of Handsome Jack. Borderlands isn't strong on the story front. It never was. Wonderlands to me was a step up from Borderlands 3. Take that how you will. I like Borderlands, I like Borderlands 2, The Pre-Sequel, and Borderlands 3. Love them all. I also love Wonderlands, and I think the story is incredibly well written.

Combat Loop - The core of this game is Borderlands. It feels like Borderlands / Borderlands 3 in a number of ways, but one of the things that actually stands out in this title is the combat loop. With the addition of spells and melee weapons, the combat loop actually does feel different in a positive way. I use an Xbox Elite controller and have one paddle set to melee and another as spells. This has helped the new additions in combat feel more fluid and natural and I have really enjoyed it.

In Conclusion!

One of the best Border-verse game launches that I can remember. If they support this game with content, hotfixes, and patches... I don't know. It's already probably in my top 2 favorite Borderlands games so who knows what's going to happen. Damn good game. Worth giving it a try.

Final Thoughts: Though some line deliveries made me laugh this episode was beautifully shot, the introduction of the characters is great, it mentioned all the key players and I’m even more in love with Will Graham than before which I didn’t think was possible. The beginning of the episode is my favorite part. The entire reconstruction during the lecture gave me chills. Super excited to be emotionally torn apart as things get messier.

FREYA/GWAINE. SWAN. LAKE. AU. 

Once upon a time there was a pretty druid girl named Freya who got cursed by an evil sorceress. Let’s call her Morgana cause the idea of Morgaya (or is it Freyana?) still haunts me okay!?

The curse is pretty straightforward: live in by the lake, turn into a swan Bastet by day,be a pretty druid girl by night, try not to kill anyone and suffer horrible guilt whenever you do kill people. Repeat until you find someone who professes their undying love for you OR remain a Bastet forever.

It doesn’t take long for townspeople to catch on and notice people are disappearing whenever they go on boat trips or romantic lake side picknicks. Sad days in this town. Sad sad days.

One day, a handsome man named Gwaine passes through town, all charm and cute smiles and blushing barmaids, you know the drill. One of the barmaids’ brothers hasn’t returned from a fishing trip, and our heroic Gwaine doesn’t have enough money to pay last night’s tab  goes out to search for him out of pure kindness and altruism.

Gwaine finds the dead brother. Sad. Our hero sees the guy managed to get one clean shot at whatever it was that attacked him, and follows the trail of blood until he reaches the lake, where Freya turns back into her human form. Perfect timing, really. As if it was needed to make the story move forward or something. Just perfect. 

Anyways they meet, it’s cute. Freya is hurt and Gwaine cares for her and it’s all sorts of adorable. 

So THEN. They fall in love. (Shocker, I know)

They sing, they dance, it’s a whole thing. Freya doesn’t believe she deserves love. Gwaine doesn’t really think he’ll be ready to settle down any time soon, but you know how these things go... 

Gwaine is about to tell the whole wide world he loves Freya and plans on doing so at tomorrow evening’s ball (Again with the perfect timing!)

Morgana finds out and is not amused.

She disguises herself as black swan!Freya and tries to coax a confession out of Gwaine which will turn Freya into a Bastet forever (I’m not sure why it’s such a big deal, cause he can definitely just go “oops my bad”, but yeah it is what it is.) So Morgana’s plan works. Freya is now about to turn into a Bastet forever. 

And this is where we don’t follow the ballet story (where they both drown themselves in the lake and stay together in death... I mean... We could go there, but we won’t, cause I don’t really feel like it.. Okay? Okay! Off to act three!)

Right so... 

Freya doesn’t feel too great. Gwaine doesn’t either. He follows her back to the lake, where it looks like she’s about to die because Gwaine said he loved Morgana, a bit dramatic Freya, but okay...  

There’s panic! There’s tears! There are sad and soppy goodbyes. And then TRUE. LOVE’S. KISS happens. 

The curse is broken and happiness is a thing and our two heroes get to be cute together and have the happily ever after they deserved in the show.

The Next Dragon Age, Analysis #3

Analysis #1 Skeletor  |  Analysis #2 Location, Location, Location

It is finally time to talk about That image. There is so much going on in that image.  It’s brightly colored, full of motion and detail. We see familiar faces and new ones. It’s another eye-catching and gorgeous concept art. I am of course talking about this one.

Now rather than touch the obvious first. Because oh the Obvious it is so great and exciting, that we’ll leave it for last.

Rather I want to start with the overall concept. We see a group of characters diving underwater into a coral reef area. They are doing so, presumably to escape the archers above; as we see a rain of arrows into the water.

So there are two ways this could happen. This could be a scripted event within the game, in which this scene needs to take place or is an option that can take place. This could also be showing off the PCs and NPC companions abilities to FINALLY after three games be getting a swim mechanic. As we’ve spent two games confined to land and a third insta-drowning on the Storm Coast. It would certainly open up new options for moving across maps and exploring beneath them, with new treasures and areas to unlock. The last game gave us jump puzzles, we could be looking at swim puzzles in the near future. It also makes sense for this to be the game for underwater travel and just water travel in general. As the entirety of Northern Thedas has some access and dependency on coasts, bays, and oceans surrounding it.

Now let’s return to the image. If we look closely, we can see some fish among a coral reef and far in the distance is the shadows of sharks. Which could be enemies similar to those found in the Assassin’s Creed franchise or just environmental/aesthetic additions.

I also want to point out that we can see where this group is coming from. At the top of the image is the shadows of boats, which again hint towards at least having ship exploration in cutscene or mechanic. These people aren’t jumping from a dock or shore, but from ships.

The last thing I want to touch on briefly, before moving onto the characters populating this image is the treasure. At the very bottom of this picture there is a skeleton, it has pieces of coral growing out of it. Obviously it rather gruesome in a way, but has a level of nature overcoming beauty to it (for some). So I’m not going to post a close up of it, but just wanted to point that out. The skeleton also has a treasure chest in it’s arms and the lock glints, to draw attention to it. Similar to the mechanics used in many games to distinguish loot chests, again hinting towards possible underwater exploration.

Now then...the characters, I’m still going to hold off on the obvious cause I’m cruel and I Mean ;) why not. So I’m going to start in the very back first.

In the back we see the skull-headed individual from before. Though this one doesn’t have any glow to the skull. I’ve seen a lot of other theories being brought up about this character too, so I still can’t definitively say much about them. 

I am still kind of under the impression they are a Mortalitasi or tied to them. Many others have pointed out it could be a Higher Undead (mentioned in Tevinter Nights, as I stated in Analysis #1), a self-aware spirit in the body of someone who once lived and I believe similar to what Justice and Kristoff became. I’ve also heard some people wonder if it isn’t Audric, a specific higher undead that was a main character of the aforementioned Tevinter Nights story; he is known  as a guardsman who was killed before filled by another character with a spirit, and later became an archivist for the Mourn Watch. Which would tie him to the Mortalitasi, but if it is him and he is shown in all concept arts; it makes me wonder why he would be performing a dissection of a Dragon.

Next we have this woman. 

I have a friend who on first glance thought it to be Scout Lace Harding, which could be possible given the company. She also has similar armor, a possibility of freckles, and similar physical features. However, it is strange that they would choose to loosen her hair, unless it is specifically to give more convincing towards the underwater scene. And the foreshortening of the drawing, makes it hard to gauge the woman’s height as dwarva or not. It’s a bit of an unknown. That said, if it isn’t Scout Harding, I have a strong feeling it could be a default PC stand-in. There is no extremely distinct feature about her and her face is rather basic to be an instantly recognizable companion. Which says to me she’s a NPC, like Scout Harding or a PC stand-in. Unless of course Scout Harding is a companion, which I certainly won’t say no to.

And Finally, I suppose we can talk about our last two characters in this concept art.

Still working from the back, we have this handsome and fine piece of art who I really wish I could 100% confirm is our favorite Tevinter piece of ass art. However...I cannot. On first glance, it absolutely looks like Magister Dorian Pavus.

The hair, skin color, and even aesthetic all seem to match. However, there are subtle changes to the hair and facial hair (against his long-haired epilogue look) that could be enough to claim it’s another person.

He is also wearing something similar to a crow uniform and wielding a rapier. In fact, in another concept art, what I originally thought could have been Zevran; actually seems to be this guy. Though I can’t confirm that either and Maker do I hope the other guy is Zevran. If this guy is Dorian tho, then Dorian could be undercover or has a few new tricks (maybe dual-classing or going back to dao unrestricted-class weapon loadouts?) It could even just be a style choice, though it still begs the question why.

So the possibilities are that he is Magister Dorian Pavus of Ventus or some unknown Crow. Either of which aren’t bad options, but one is definitely more exciting to me than the other.

Lastly, my favorite character to ever grace the Dragon Age fandom. The Queen of the Seas herself, and beloved Rivaini.

Captain Isabela of the Felicia Armada (allegedly).

She is honestly the only one in this entire picture, I can say with almost no doubt, who she is. There is such a slim margin for this not to be her. She has her gold decorations (including the overly large, penis necklace), her captain’s pants as seen in the comics, and her top and sash as seen in the Dragon Age Inquisition multiplayer. Her appearance is one of the most unique in the series, so for her to be unrecognizable would be a hard sell. She even has her one shouldered armor piece and her earrings.

Which Isabela has been in every game to date and I do mean EVERY game, even the spin-offs for PC and mobile, why wouldn’t she be in the one game that goes north near her hometown and the seas she roams? She could be working for herself, the Inquisition, or even Hawke. But it seems no doubt we’ll be running into her and she’ll be running into a good bit of booty. After all is it even a Dragon Age game anymore if the Queen of the Seas isn’t there (and like fewer dragons than the number of times she shows up?).

tldr; underwater or at least the sea seems to be a part of the Next Dragon Age game. And Captain Isabela seems to be too, in passing or sticking around a while we don’t know. We can also count of some new companions and maybe more familiar faces, but wherever it takes us we’ll be in good company.

I don’t feel like there is an outspoken center in SHINee the way it might be in other groups just because it’s /SHINee/.

also who is in the ‘center’ kind of changes depending on performance but has also changed throughout the years. most of the time it is someone who is the handsomest or has the most ‘talent’ but you know that is where you run into problems with SHINee. all members are good-looking, can sing well (not all equally but all good) and they are extremely good dancers as a group. 

they’re all so close knit together and been together a long time they don’t need one to be front and center all the time, they can take turns and share the spotlight and I think it’s the natural dynamic of the group

these days I feel like Taemin is a bit more center just because he is the most popular member because of being a soloist and part of SuperM while the rest was in the military, plus he is the main dancer (and so good at it omg) and has improved to become a better vocalist so he’s often center these days

Onew is sometimes center because he’s the leader so he represents the group and leads them but he is very much, as he said it, among his members and not above so he might take the lead but he is not ahead of them.

minho might be more center when it comes to sports lol and photoshoots because he is regarded as most handsome (and honestly have you seen him, it’s no lie) and he’s also at the forefront when it comes to acting etc. he is often also brought forward as spokesperson because he takes it seriously. onew is a bit shyer and taemin just ... goes to another plane of existence mentally on occasion. 

Key then again is just an all around talent, no one can stop him. he’s often the center when it comes to international communication bc this dude is a language center. his English is great and his Japanese is great too. he is also most comfortable with doing lives etc bc he does the most insta lives so often he will most active in those

Jonghyun of course was a vocal powerhouse and he would often take the lead when it came to singing, he was quite popular as DJ of Blue Night too and he was short! so he was often literally in the middle and a little to the front (and preferably not next to Minho) so he didn’t seem so TINee

TLDR: it’s kinda sorta Taemin these days but it doesn’t really apply because this is SHINee

Ace Attorney 1: Ep 2 talk

I can tell I’m going to be a big fan of this series if they keep this up. The length of an real episode/chapter is satisfying, and i like how the trail segments were broken up by investigation segments. IT IS SO GOOD because that was always a pet peeve for me when it came to the dangan ronpa series, the really long trials made it hard to have a good “break” and the pacing could be like....painful for me.

Mia

Why must the good die young. I admit I recalled her not being in the picture later in the game, but i’m still sad she’s down for the couNT EXPECT SHE’S A GHOST. So she’s still around!! Yay!! I wish her... possession? form?? didn’t place so much focus on titty...

Maya

My new fucking daughter, I love her so. She’s funny, i love her puns, and how her humour plays off of Phoenix’s dry humour. The fact she found her sister’s body and was blamed for it is UuuuUuuUuuuuh traumatizing. When I gave her that audio clip and she listened to it and cried.... i cried too... bruh. She’s like our main companion now right? good I will protect her and her smile. she is Baby and she needs BURGERS to power her ghost hotline powers. She’s the mvp for not only encouraging Phoenix while she was grieving, but also using her barely developed powers to contact Mia to crack down this case.

tldr: I had maya for a day and half, and if anything were to happen to her i’d kill everyone in this room and then myself.

Gumshoe 

Move over Larry, fuck you, there’s a better himbo in town AND HE’S TRYING HIS BEST STOP BULLYING HIM IN THE COURT ROOM. At first when he arrested Maya so fast, i was like HEY BUD, but he was just doing his job, and he’s got no brain cells. He just trying to do the right thing and sometimes not doing so great. I really wish he would remember that Larry is innocent, but he’s clearly intimidated by Edgyworths so he’s probably to busy being his personal lap dog to remember that stuff. I like him, i think i’ll like him more as i get to know him.

Edgeworth 

No cap i thirst for this man. But listen. I’m just in character. Look at him, he’s so handsome. Put him in some normal clothes (yeah i’m dissing that fruity tie thing) and anyone would thirst. He can update my autopsy report when i die free of charge. During the trial he very much dances the line of “edgeworth i love you please keep talking” and “EDGEWORTH PLEASE STOP TALKING” the man has range. Also he contributes to some really funny trial moments. He’s a really fun opponent and I hope nearly every trial is against him. ALSO HE AND PHOENIX KNOW EACH OTHER??? OH???????? WORM????????????? i smell a ship. I sense, friends, to enemies, to friends? (with homosexual tension), to lovers.

Trial

So this was so fun, i struggled more at certain points, but overall i really enjoyed it. There were some really fucking funny moments, especially with the “Did i say that?” “you said it”x3. AND:

LOVING SASSY PHOENIX. LOVE ALL THE COMEDY UP IN THIS TRIAL. Mile’s constant assault made it so fun, it felt like facing a real equal who has more experience. One step ahead but just barely. A lot nicer then just steam rolling over the tutorial prosecutor.  

Overall having a LOT of fun!

My favourite imperfections on him are ALL OF THEM.

I have tried and tried but I simply cannot find a notable flaw on this man.

A flaw is defined as something that tarnishes the quality of something. The thing is, all Scout’s “flaws” make him BETTER, so he really doesn't have flaws.

His buck teeth? Gorgeous. Adorable. Perfect. They’re cute in a quirky kind of way. And they make some of the words he says sound so FLIPPIN CUTE i cannot STAND IT

His lanky / scrawny stature? There is nothing wrong with it!! Yes, boy needs to eat, but his metaspbolism simply cannot keep up with him! That’s just his body! Body positivity, people! If Heavy is beautiful, then so is my boy!! (I HATE when people gas up heavy- all “my big teddy bear uwu” AND THEN POO POO SCOUT!! GRRR THIS IS STICKPHOBIA!!!!)

His personality? Magnifcent. Amazing. Spectacular. I love everything (and i mean EVERYTHING) about it.

He’s a lil loud, but that just means he’s excitable! He talks a lot, but there’s nun wrong with that! It’s his love language! I could listen to him speak forever and not get the teensiest bit irritable! He’s cocky, but that makes him fun! We’re so used to self deprecation, I think he’s quite refreshing! Like- yeah! You do look incredibly handsome in that! You are the best member on the team! You did great out there! He tries too hard sometimes, but at least he tries! He’s passionate! And determined! He may not be book smart, but that’s not the only kind of intelligence! (plus, idiocy is cute, ok?😤)

Scout’s favourite imperfections of mine? Uhhhh good question. Moving on- (lmao jk. I like to think it’s a mutual thing. He likes all my nonsense too!  AH! I GOT IT!! HE ADORES MY LOUDNESS!!! I am a loudass irl who cannot shut up and always speaks in an ‘outdoor voice’. I also dress, act, and think really loudly and he thinks its Very Endearing.)

Our flaws would work GREAT together- in the worst possible way. 

What I mean by that is I am incredibly similar to Scout (like I am literally just Scout but less funny and good looking). So it’s pretty much just putting two Scouts together, which is what most call “a headache.”

We both have ADHD: I have inattentive and he has hyperactive. We bounce off of each other (both literally and figuratively). For example, I have horrible memory and Scout loves to talk, so he could talk on and on about the same damn thing and I’ll sit there in awe like it’s the first time I’ve heard it. OOOH OR!!! I verbally stim a LOT and it’s often rhythmic and I hc that Scout stims by drumming his hands on things so I’ll be makin noises tryna focus and he’ll make a beat out of it and its GREAT :DDDDDDD

We don’t discuss it directly, per se, but it’s more of:

A P9 Anon ask~

I had someone ask me about my thoughts on P9 and they gave me some examples of their point of view on the matter.

And just so it’s clear everyone is allowed their opinion and as long as they are not forcing others to agree to! Meaning that if you tell me your opinion nicely I will probably approve because I love hearing opinions and see other people's points of view, it’s a great way to broaden your horizon. Just because I support something that might be opposite to what your support doesn’t mean I don’t welcome your opinion.

If that makes any sense, so thank you Anon!

First, off I’d like to say thank you for one your point of view and the examples, it’s always nice to back up opinions with examples. :D

Second, this is also my opinion but I’m going to try and make it non-bias.

That being said, I think it’s very important to point out a few things. As fans, we only see what they want us to see and even during times where we think that we are seeing something secret or something we’re not supposed to see. You know those videos from events where the person touches the other person and everyone is like ‘ah a secret moment’ and whatnot. It probably is just a random touch that we’ve taken out of context or it’s a purposefully touch to promote them via fanservice. The K-pop industry and the Bl industry (Thai, Taiwanese, and the like) utilize their fans using fanservice to promote themselves. What we think is a secret touch could very well be carefully planned out action.

I’m not going to go any deeper into that right now but it’s something we need to keep in mind as we look at our idols or actors in general. It's something I try to keep in mind while I delusionally ship my ships.

That being said, Pavel is VERY into fanservice. He’s loud brash and the one who really knows what’s up and doesn’t mind hinting at it because he’s a troll and a tease. (And he’s wonderful for all of those reasons so don’t take that the wrong way). Pavel is a man that loves to tease but he also teases each member (of OXQ or 6moons whichever) differently and that’s because each person takes to it differently. Meaning he knows what each person will take as a joke and what they won’t and that’s on friendship.

I think Nine and Pavel have an interesting relationship because much like Ben when they first met they all had English in common so they could communicate secretly without the others knowing and I think now even when most the others members can speak it alright enough to where it’s not really like a secret language anymore it created a different sort of bond between them during filming and then subsequently, their friendship.

NOW FOR SOME ANALYSIS! Because I love this part soooooooo (even if it's not really analysis as much as it is opinion.)

I think Pavel like most people fall for cute things and Nine is cute and small (and very handsome) and like everyone in the world when we see cute things we want to treat those things with kind and gentle hands. Which means his touches toward Nine might be different than let’s say Dome because Dome is cute but he also has bulk and works out with Pavel so he perceives him different and therefore Pavel’s touches towards Dome will be different. This has nothing to do with masculinity or femininity! And everything to do with the types of friendships he has between them. Nine and Pavel and a distinctly softer friendship about them at least from what we can see of them.

Anon mentioned that Pavel makes over the top jokes like that day he went onto the live and was like talking about fertilization and stuff and I can’t find that picture but it’s great but I’m pretty sure that was done with like Dome (or Ben… maybe it was Ben, Yeah I think was... idk) I can’t find the source and I don’t remember…. Sorry. But anyways He doesn’t do that with Nine, most of his crude jokes are for the others. And I think that has to do with the type of friendship that he has with Nine. Whereas the others he’s all for like daddy jokes, and fertilization and moaning and such he really doesn’t do that with Nine and that could be because he jokes differently with Nine because Nine takes jokes differently or has a different sense of humor when it comes to those things or it could be (and this is my J9 dulu sneaking out) It could have to do with Joong.

Actually, Everyone in the fandom knows that Joong gets sulky easy and he’s sensitive to things so regardless for J9 relationship Joong might get sulk depending on how the others joke with Nine because they monitor each other’s amount of skin shown and cursing so it wouldn’t be a far stretch to say that maybe Pavel jokes differently with Nine as to not upset Joong, and that’s about friendship and understanding not about dating and whatnot, to be clear.

Then there was that event where Pavel and Nine body rolled against each other which I don’t have the video of that either and I can’t find either. But that felt like fanservice.

And that time that Nine got angry because Joong and Pavel (and Ben I guess) were snuggling which is a moment that I’m still not really sure how to decipher because you could see it whichever way you like because there is very little context to go with it besides we know that Nine was sulking that day and later didn’t want to include Joong in his Ig story thing with Ben. Buuuuut if you wanted to you could say that Nine was mad at both Pavel and Joong, which would add a moment to the P9 debate.

There was the really scandalous picture Pavel posted of Nine, I mean just look at that thigh.

Which honestly same. If I had an attractive friend and I knew people liked to see pictures of them AND I was Pavel who knows how to stir things up, I would have totally done the same thing. This might be one of the leading things in the P9 argument and it’s valid. There’s a lot of thigh happening. Also if this was some sort of like secret ‘we’re dating’ type of pictures, it’s a good one. It’s like enough to be like they could have totally done something with each other but also vague enough that many people would wave it off like nothing.

I just wanted to put it out there for reasons.

Moving on I think that it’s a bit important to mention the OXQ ship that’s been going around.

There is a VERY VERY high possibility that their company might be trying to push some fanservice in the form of P9 because that’s how they want to be. It could also be some secret thing they have going on. If one were to look at these interacts as like aP9 situation then sure maybe they are just showing more of that side of their relationship. Or maybe it’s just because of placement and based on kpop which I have a feeling is a major influence in this group for many reasons, it is a very common trend for everyone in a group to be shipped with everyone. Regardless if you ship that ship or not. Many companies (I dare say, all of them) promote ships because it sells. So this might be P9 using their proximity in their formation to promote a ship thinking that it will sell….. but I think it’s the companies choice as far as these go.

If nothing else form this I think that Pavel and Nine have a very different relationship than Pavel and Dome do and thus comparing their relationship is really productive in terms of trying to figure out ‘who Pavel may or may not be in a secret relationship with’. I think that Pavel treats Nine differently because their friendship is different. Pavel and Dome are aggressive with each other because that’s how they’re relationship works. They go to the gym together, talk dirty jokes together, call each other daddy, they put of shirtless pictures of each other, and show off each other’s boxers. They just are.

Pavel and Nine's relationship is softer probably to do with the amount of time they spend with each other and from how Pavel views Nine. Nine is smaller than the rest of them and maybe that opens some innate feelings in Pavel to protect because honestly same. But also

Maybe Nine's looks are making him feel the gay feelings. Who knows.

I was thinking when I first saw this that maybe it’s Nine's personality because Nine is moody and gets angry easily. When I saw this I immediately thought that Nine just pics fights with everyone but like accidentally and that’s what he meant. But everyone was taking the unstable as like the gay way.

This was a terrible rant that did nothing and I’m sorry :D but I think that all the boys of the 2moons2 cast have a good relationship with each other and to say that we, the fans, only know a fraction of the details of those relationships would be accurate. We know exactly what they want us to know and nothing else. We can speculate all day about it and we do and I think that’s the great things about ships and idols is that fanservice is a big part of their industry and as long as we know that they are still humans and support them regardless of their ship (and wither they date the person you ship them with or not) then we can ship them with whoever for whatever reason.

IN CONCLUSION, I write too much and get nowhere in life. But I think Pavel and Nine are friends and Pavel likes to tease and flirt and their company might be trying to push out every ship they can to try and attract everyone they can because of money. But I do think there is a very distinct type of love in Pavel's heart for Nine and all the 2moons2 boys.

TLDR; Pavel and Nine are soft together, they probably have a secret bond that may or may not have been formed when they meet and related over English. They are good friends and Pavel likes to tease and he's good at it. I doubt there's anything past that mostly because of this
