At the interview company the next day a new problem made itself known. 

Seungcheol had barely slept all night, tossing and turning, worried for his members and the interview. He was so so scared of what the day would bring, afraid that the group was actually falling apart. How long was it until somebody said something they would regret and could not take back? How long until insults were spat that could not be forgiven? How long until a member wanted out? 

For now Seungcheol could only helplessly watch how the team had split itself into four little groups that somehow got along within each group but seemed to be unable to control their disdain for the others. Well, at least three of four groups.

The first group had built itself around Seokmin and Minghao. The four of them were lounging on a sofa in the corner of the waiting room of the studio where they were set to film. Vernon, while he was still quiet and withdrawn, seemingly was touched by their care and was now hanging out with them. It was better than him being alone, Seungcheol supposed. To his surprise Wonwoo had joined their group but apparently Vernon had forgiven him? 

Who had not forgiven Wonwoo, was Mingyu, who had built his own front with Seungkwan and Jeonghan. Seungcheol didn’t know how that had happened either but he was more than unhappy about it and he could help but keep glancing at them, sitting at the other side of the room on floor mats, Seungkwan laying with his head in Jeonghan’s lap.

Seungcheol couldn't help but miss Jeonghan at his side and just two days ago Jeonghan had sat like that with Joshua. Now both of them wouldn’t look at each other. Seungkwan and Mingyu needed a hyung, yes, but was Jeonghan in his anger really the right idea?

Jun and Dino were on their own, no surprise there. Both of them tended to stick to one person most of the time and Jun was probably helping Dino’s insecurities of being alone in this case, while Dino reassured Jun of his place in the group. It was toxic for the rest but helpful for them.

Seungcheol, Joshua and Hoshi had become their own group without any of their own intent. They were just the ones mostly uninvolved in the fighting, reluctantly joined by a lonely Woozi who seemed to have sought out the least drama. 

But these groups meant that the seating chart from yesterday was moot. So, in a fit of desperation, Hoshi, Joshua and Seungcheol stared at Hoshi’s phone minutes trying to change things before the interview was set to take place, while Jun, Dino and Woozi were still getting their make-up done.

“What if we put them together in the groups?”, Hoshi asked, glancing at them, “separated by us, uh, neutral ones? I hate to put Jihoonie in the middle of it all but if we … hold on.”

He scribbled onto his note app, showing the result to the other two. Seungcheol nodded slowly, agreeing with his idea. Jeonghan and Seungkwan in the back, with Mingyu sitting in front of them were separated from Jun and Dino in the back by Seungcheol and in the front by Hoshi and Woozi from Wonwoo, Minghao and Vernon. Joshua would then separate Dino and Seokmin, also in the back, from each other. It wasn’t ideal with Dino diagonally behind Minghao but it would have to do.

Joshua sighed and said: “Let’s switch Junnie and Dino. I don’t want Dino and Seokmin too close to each other. There is only so much I can do and over there you are at least two. Also, let’s switch Hannie and Seungkwannie and uh, no, don’t. It’s fine like that.”

“Good idea!”, Hoshi agreed, but winced when he saw why Joshua had interrupted himself. Seungcheol bit his lip, hating that he and Jeonghan were to be separated. Over the years it had come natural to the members to place him and Jeonghan together when possible, but now with him and Jeonghan fighting it would be easier to just have Seungcheol buffer Seungkwan and Dino on his own instead of having Jeonghan next to him to keep Dino and Seungkwan further away from each other.

“It has to work. I am lost on any other ideas”, he said weakly.

Hoshi handed the phone to Seungcheol, who had no choice but to rush over to the managers. “Jisu-noona”, he called, bowing his head, “could we re-arrange the seating again? We have a better solution now.”

The manager looked at Seungcheol in disbelief. “You are … you aren’t kidding. I’m sorry, we can’t. We already turned the seating arrangement in to the director. We can’t change anything now.”

“Damn”, Seungcheol cursed. “Yeah, yeah, okay. We will have to make do.”

She narrowed her eyes. “Make sure you do, S.Coups-ssi.”

The tears Seungcheol had tried to push away the past days were about to spill over. The interview had gone surprisingly fine until that point, he supposed. The tension wasn’t as obvious as they had feared. But then it all went downhill so fast he didn’t even have time to think about how to stop it.

“Carats often describe you as being very close, some even say Nobody loves SEVENTEEN as much as SEVENTEEN does. Why do you suppose that is so?”, the interviewer asked.

An embarrassing silence followed, drawn out by the collective group not meeting each other’s eyes. Seungcheol felt himself flush, body going hot as he felt shame creep up. But what was he to say? He wasn’t sure if a lie could cover the issues now.

Finally Jeonghan cleared his throat… and made it worse. “We are like a family”, he said, pointedly looking at all members, “and we love each other very much. Of course there are times we don’t agree and fight over stupid things but at the end of the day, we truly are more like a family than friends or colleagues.”

Seungcheol closed his eyes, already knowing the drama that would unfold. Why would Jeonghan choose now of all times to try to mediate between the members? He knew it was an idea to make the group agree and remember their love for each other but right now it was more like forcing them to reveal their troubles to the public. It was just plain stupid and the company would have to pay off the interview company a lot for damage control. Jeonghan meant well but he was too deep in his quest to make everything sunshine and rainbows.

“Stupid things?”, Dino muttered under his breath, loud enough that it was obvious he intended for Jeonghan to hear.

Jeonghan shot him a glare. “Yeah, stupid things. We are all vastly different people, of course we are going to react to things differently or have different opinions.”

“Stop, Hannie. Stop”, Seungcheol pleaded, feeling everything spiral out of control. The interviewer was watching them with eyes as wide as saucers and the cameramen were looking away, seeming very uncomfortable. Their managers at the back were glaring at Seungcheol, Hoshi and Woozi. But it was too late.

“Good talk”, Minghao cut in, completely ignoring Seungcheol and leaning forward so he could look at the two at the other end of the group. “So you have never shouted at members because they were doing their own thing and you felt disturbed by their mere presence? You have never fought over stupid things? You are a lying hypocrite, hyung.”

“Don’t talk to me this way, Xu Minghao”, Jeonghan spat back, “stop riding on your high horse. You have fought too. We all have done things we aren’t proud of. That doesn’t mean we can’t apologize and forgive.”

“That doesn’t mean we can’t apologize”, Dino repeated mockingly, “when is anybody going to apologize for treating me like shit and making me do chores because I’m the maknae? When are you guys going to stop doing things without me because Dino is the youngest, just a baby?”

“Not everybody can be - what do they call it? - maknae on top. At least you weren’t dumped for a dinner date because you were working hard”, Seungkwan yelled, jumping up. “Do you know how it feels to be one of the best vocalists in the industry and still you don’t get stage front and center because you are singing high backing vocals? It must be so hard to be in the middle with all the fans' eyes on you, dancing and …”

“Oh, shut up, Seungkwan”, Jun interrupted, his tone mocking, “it must be so hard to have fans praise your vocals and actually get lines!”

“It’s not Seungkwan’s choice who gets which lines, you idiot”, Mingyu called.

Seungcheol felt Woozi shrink into himself beside him but before he could react, Hoshi jumped up and turned around to face the group. The unintentional side jab at his uninvolved best friend must have been the breaking point for him.

“Stop it! I have enough! You are all acting like kindergarteners and I am sick of it. Hyung said it, we are family, but I am slowly beginning to stop believing this. Where is the love we have for each other? You are embarrassing us all with your fights. Maybe we should start calling ourselves Sixteen because the One team is utter bullshit!”

Hoshi turned back to the cameras and bowed. “I’m sorry, but I can’t do this anymore. Please forgive us.” Then he stormed off.

The interviewer just slowly nodded, his mouth half open. He had not expected his simple question to escalate like this and how could he have? They were known as a group who was very close. For fucks’s sake, the basically shared parents, were closer to each other than to their own siblings at this point.

Seungcheol, feeling like he was trapped in a nightmare, stood up slowly and also bowed. He hated his leader title more than he ever had but he knew he needed to damage control first and foremost. “I’m very sorry too. We are … going through a hard time right now. We would be very grateful if you would delete those scenes…”

He wanted to continue but was interrupted by Manager Hyunseok, who was red in the face and more angry that Seungcheol had ever seen him.

“S.Coups-ssi, stop. Take the group backstage and handle this. Now. I don’t care how you do it but I don’t want to see you all again until you have managed to overcome this. I expect you to write an apology to the interview company and to HYBE. I am deeply disappointed by you all”, he spat. “I don’t trust you to handle anything else right now.”

Ashamed, Seungcheol stared at his shoes and bowed deeply. He had truly fucked up as leader.

“Let’s go”, he hissed through clenched teeth, pointing the group at the backstage area. It was time to set an end to this. It had gone on for far too long.

Slowly they all shuffled out, some looking angry, some close to tears.

“Well, this sucked”, Jeonghan surmised in a dead pan as he pushed open the door to the waiting room. Irony seemed to be his defense at this point, a way to protect himself. Seungcheol knew there was deep hurt below the cold exterior.

“No shit”, Dino agreed darkly. 

They filtered into the room in deep silence, none of them knowing what to say. And what was there to say? The fights had completely escalated and become too public for any of their likes. If the interviewer or any of the staff said anything to the wrong person their careers might be over. They were lucky if the interviewer’s company didn’t manipulate HYBE into debt to pay off their silence.

As Seungcheol closed the door behind himself he saw that Hoshi was pacing up and down the waiting room’s length. His heart felt a little lighter knowing where the younger member was. Seeing him storm off like that and not knowing where he was …

“Hyung”, Hoshi called, glancing over his shoulder, “oh my god, hyung, I am so sorry, I …”

The dance leader whirled around to rush to their leader, apologetic. In his haste he didn’t notice that Seungkwan, who had been closest to him, was opening his water bottle and collided with him. Water sprayed everywhere, soaking both of them in it.

“Hyung”, Seungkwan yelled in shock, his face and hair positively dripping. “Can you stop being so clumsy? You are worse than Mingyu-hyung!”

“I …”, Hoshi started but Mingyu cut in, exploding: “No! Enough! I am tired of you all making jokes about how clumsy I am. Haha, funny. I get it. Big bumbling idiot or whatever. At least he’s pretty. I am so done with these jokes!” Apparently he had reached his end too, now that everything had escalated. 

“Well, if it bothered you that much you should have said something”, Wonwoo, surprisingly, replied loudly.

None of the members seemed to be even close to wanting to talk about their issues, instead choosing to lash out now that the volcano had erupted. Family had turned into enemies.

It’s too late. They were broken. Was there enough gold to fill the cracks in the china plate to repair it now?

Seungcheol took a step back, as the group started taking steps forwards. It was so out of control. Where was the love they shared, the kindness they shared? If one had asked a few days ago if he believed his member capable of actual physical fights he would have laughed and told them that that wouldn’t happen. Right now he was afraid that fists would start flying any second. The room had become a battlefield of insults and wounded pride.

The voices went louder and louder, rising like a wave that swallowed them all. The angry faces, the anger and hate in their voices. It felt like slow motion, a nightmare. And Seungcheol was helpless to watch as they fell apart. 

Seungkwan, still dripping, was up in Mingyu’s face, on his tiptoes while Jun’s grip on Jeonghan was a bit too tight for comfort. Vernon was red in the face, Minghao was so angry. Dino had his hands raised as he and Seokmin yelled at each other. Wonwoo was glowering at them all, giving dry, harsh comments, lashing out for once. A cacophony of voices blended into each other, making words ununderstandable.

Joshua and Hoshi were in the middle of it all, trying to break it up. As Hoshi darted around and physically placed himself between fighting parties, Joshua was patting back and whispering calming words, trying to pull members away from fights. All the while Seungcheol was frozen in place. Nothing would be able to stop them now.

And yet, a tiny sound did. It wasn’t loud, it wasn’t dramatic.

Just a small gasp, nearly swallowed by the raised voices. But it made Seungcheol’s blood run cold. The members froze, turned, horror on all their faces. 

Stumbled a few steps behind Seungcheol stood Woozi, tiny in relation to the angry mob of members.

And he was crying.

Seventeen-How Would They Protect You From Creepy Men Hitting On You?

had a very scary situation a few days ago where a man tried to constantly talk to me while i was waiting on my bus, even giving me advice that i could take another bus and still end up on the same station and that “he could show me the way from the station to my dorm”. in that moment i wished that i were a man or that i had a boyfriend, because if i were either of those, none of that would’ve happened. apparently if you are a woman, even when you’re constantly moving away from them, giving them one worded answer, as long as you are alone-they won’t leave you alone. after i lied to him about having a friend pick me up from a different place and walked away while crying, i desperately got the feeling to write this, as i know for sure that none of the boys would’ve let that happen.

Description: just as the title says

scoups: he went away just for a second to buy you a drink and when he turned around, there was a man all in your face, smiling in what he can only describe as unsuccessfully flirty manner. he immediately walks back to you, sliding his arm around your waist. kisses your temple as a cover to whisper in your ear and ask you “are you okay baby?”. by your shaking form he assumes that you aren’t. pulling you behind him, cheol then lets all of his emotions, all the anger and disgust, show on his face and says “leave. now.” in such an intimidating way, it makes your unwanted suitor run away with his tail between his legs. after he’s gone, cheol will give you a tight hug as a way to comfort you, and after a few minutes, will just take you two back home.

jeonghan: the moment he turned around and saw a man playing with a strand of your hair, twirling it around his finger, your face set in discomfort, he was on the move. in a few seconds he was beside you two. without any warning he grabbed the man’s hand-the very same one that was playing with your hair, and twisting it behind his back in such an uncomfortable angle it had the man screaming in pain. coldly, he asked the man “didn’t your mother ever taught you when to leave a girl alone and how it looks like when a woman is uncomfortable being around you? she’s been moving away from you the entire time you’ve been talking to her and yet you didn’t stop.”, before pushing him away so hard that the man ended up falling down. with cold eyes, jeonghan then finished the conversation with “leave. before i make you permanently banned from this place.”

joshua: unlike the two other men, he wouldn’t go to such extremes when he sees you getting hit on and being uncomfortable because if it. instead, he will quickly approach you and put himself between the two of you, his back to the man. in a soft voice he will ask you “are you alright baby? do you want us to leave?”. or at least, until the man goes to grab his shoulder and to say something stupid like “we were in a middle of a conversation”. joshua will look at him like he’s an idiot before saying “you weren’t in the middle of anything, you were hitting on a taken woman and she tried ignoring you. how delusional do you have to be to confuse that for flirting? she didn’t even say anything yet you thought you were successful in flirting with her?” would snort once before adding “a lot of delusional and pathetic men roaming this earth” before taking your hand in his and walking out of the place.

jun: this scaredy cat would definitely use his height to his advantage in these type of situations. just as he was coming back from the restroom, he saw a man waving a phone in your face, your hands making an ‘x’ as a way to reject him, but to no avail. seeing this, jun will jog a bit to get to you before pulling you behind him. looking the man deadly in the eyes (with all the courage that he can summon in himself) he will ask him “do we have a problem here?”. his cold and calculated look, along with him towering over the guy will result in the guy nervously shaking his head no and quickly leaving. after the guy is gone, you two will end up hugging each other as a way to comfort each other. and yes, you need to comfort him too because standing up to that man was so scary 😖

hoshi: at first i thought that hoshi might cause more of an embarrassing scene rather than defending you in a proper manner. but then i remembered how scary he is when he is angry (the moment that comes to mind is that live where saesangs constantly were calling his phone and he said something among the lines of “do you not have any manners?” and oh god-) and immediately changed my mind. bro was just enjoying his time, you two mingling with different people, no need to be glued to each other the entire time, you two can simply coexist in the same space sometimes. but then he will hear your voice distinctly, repeating the words “stop, i’m not interested, i have a boyfriend”. the moment he finds you in the room, almost trapped against the wall due to a man’s hand blocking your way, the hand resting on the wall beside your head. he will calmly walk towards you. the moment he’s there, he will harshly pull the man’s hand away from the wall, making him stumble a bit. looking at him, hoshi will then darkly say to the man “are you deaf or stupid to not be able to understand such a simple sentence “i have a boyfriend”? or are you just that desperate, thinking that you will successfully get her to comply to your flirting?”. getting all up in the man’s face, he will then add in almost a terrifying whisper “do not ever try to flirt with my girlfriend ever again, or i can promise you-i will end your whole life.” staying for a few seconds to let the man see in his eyes that he meant it, he will then turn towards you before intertwining your hands and leaving the function all together.

wonwoo: he just went up to order coffees for the both of you, when he turned around and saw a man in his chair, sitting across from you, trying to talk to you and touch your hand. seeing the panic and discomfort on your face, he will quickly take the tray with him before quickly moving to your table, trying hard not to spill your coffees. seeing that the man still wasn’t paying attention to him, his slimy smile directed at you, wonwoo will then just raise his foot before harshly kicking the chair that the man was sitting on, making him almost fall out of it. seeing that he finally got his attention, wonwoo will then say in a bored voice “you are in my chair. scram. i want to enjoy my date with my girlfriend.”. the moment the chair is free, he’s sitting down and grabbing your hands in his, asking if you are alright, doing a total 180 on you

woozi: just as he was pulling up the location that you two agreed for him to pick you up from, woozi will start seeing black the moment he registers the scene unfolding in front of him- your form pushed all the way on the wall of the building, shaking in fear as a man is rubbing your arm, all up in your face. the moment he snaps out of his trance, he is quickly getting out of his car, slamming the door so harshly that it catches both your and the man’s attention. without any words, he walks up to you two quickly before punching that man so hard it knocks him out in one. jihoon doesn’t really care about the possible consequences of his actions, all he knows is that he would kill for you, which he felt he was about to do to that man. the moment you see him ready to swing his leg at the man to kick him, you quickly stop him by hugging him. the moment he felt your trembling form against his back, he will quickly snap out of it, turning around and hugging you back just as tightly. the moment he hears you sobbing against his neck, he’s picking up your bag from the floor in one hand and picking you up in the other, carrying you to his car, carefully placing you in the passenger’s seat.

minghao: roaming around the house that you two were in for the afterparty, he’s trying to find you, getting slowly worried because he hasn’t seen you in the last 15 minutes. not that that was long time, but it was just that he had a bad feeling about it in his stomach. rounding up the corner on the second floor, right where the bathroom is, he finds the door of it blocked by a man who is leaning on both sides of the doorway, ultimately blocking your way. with a deep sigh you tell him “for the hundredth time, i am not interested, i don’t want to give you my number because i. have. a. boyfriend.”. he then responds to you “c’mon, he doesn’t have to know”. feeling like he has heard enough, minghao speaks “little too late for that, as the boyfriend in question is right here”. both of you turn towards him, the man’s eyes looking at him nastily. feeling no fucks to give, he takes one of the man’s arms off the doorway and pushes him away before taking your hand in his and pulling you out of the bathroom and behind him. with cold eyes he tells him “maybe next time find a girl who is taken already. and maybe also a girl who is naive enough to be willingly talking to you, because that is not my girl here, she doesn’t like waisting her braincells on assholes like you.” before leading you back downstairs.

mingyu: as the night went on, you naturally drifted apart for a bit. he wanted to talk to some friends of his while you wanted to talk to some other people, resulting in you standing in the different corners of the room. just as you crossed his mind, he hears a loud voice yelling distinctly “i said leave me alone! i don’t want to do anything with you!”. his heart sinks the moment he realises that it’s your voice. sharply turning around he sees your arm being gripped by another man, so tightly he can see on your face that it’s hurting you. wasting no time, he lets all over his anger take over him. speed walking towards you, he yells a loud ‘hey!” before grabbing the man’s arm and pulling him away from you harshly. not realising his strength, he pulls a man so harshly, that he ends up falling over a small table and into the wall. loud gasps erupt in the room, but that doesn’t stop him. crouching down beside the man, he takes his collar in his hand before harshly speaking through his teeth “she said to leave her alone. are you that stupid to understand that or too ignorant to not do as she says?”. not being able to stop, he then grabs the man’s jaw harshly “do that again to her and i will break every bone in your body”. in the end coups and three other members will have to pull him away from the man before he stops and calms down for a bit. seeing your shaking form, he will wrap his jacket around your shoulders before taking you home, apologising profusely for losing his control.

dk: walking into a bar where you two agreed to meet for a little night out, dk��s eyes immediately went to search for you in the crowd of bodies. finally, his smile spread the moment his eyes landed on you, sitting at the bar in your pretty dress. the same smile was wiped off his face the moment he saw a man on your left, trying to get your attention by reaching for your hair. feeling something burning inside of him, he quickly started approaching you, and when he was in your earshot, he loudly exclaimed “baby! i’m here!” before engulfing you in a hug before kissing you passionately, with way too much tongue than is appropriate for a public display. ignoring your surprised yelp, he opened his eyes and purposely look the man behind you directly in his eyes, smirking a bit when he was the man fuming in anger. afterwards, when the man has already long been gone, you will tease him for his actions and he will blush while whining to you “babee stoooop”

seungkwan: oh this little firecracker. he was meeting you for a much needed session of badminton, so excited to finally be able to do it together with you after a long time. as he was walking out of the locker room and into the gym, the smile that was decorating his beautiful face disappeared the moment he saw somebody trying to talk to you, your unsure facial expression, and you taking unsure steps away from the man. with an awkward smile, he heard you say “ah, i’m actually waiting on my-“ before the man rudely cut you off “let’s just play together, why are you being so difficult? i mean seriously why are all women such b*tches nowadays-“ and that did it for seungkwan. all of a sudden, he yells “ya!” before throwing his racket with such a precision it misses the man’s face by a few inches, like he intended it to. shocked, you both turned towards him just to see him quickly walking to you. pushing the man away by his shoulders, seungkwan points at him with his finger “say that shit to my girlfriend again and i swear on everything that is holy, i will push that same racket that just barely missed you so far ip your ass-“. eventually, you will have to call staff to throw that man out because holding seungkwan back seems to be quite pointless.

vernon: actually the only normal one in these types of situations and who won’t actually incriminate himself just because he doesn’t know how to control his emotions and actions. just as he was coming back with the popcorn and your drinks, all prepared for you two to watch that new movie that you wanted to, he sees you smiling awkwardly at the man in front of you, shaking your head ‘no’. awkwardly standing in front of you two, vernon says “babe? are you ready? i’ve got everything for us, let’s go and find our seats.” seeing how thankful you look for the interruption, you happily hurry up to his side, wrapping your arms around his biceps. awkwardly you say to the man “this is my boyfriend that i was talking about, now if you will excuse us”. before turning away from him. but if the man dares to utter something like “stupid b*tch under his breath, you bet your ass vernon will stop in his place before turning to the man “ya. if you call her that one more time, i will have you swallowing all of your teeth. understood?” before continuing his route. just because he doesn’t overreact doesn’t mean be doesn’t threaten or put men in their place who dare speak of you like that. :)

dino: dino felt like picking you up from your work on that day, simply to be a good boyfriend and to see you as soon as possible. knowing both the way around the building you work at and people that you work with, he easily accessed the floor that you were on. rounding up the corner the scene in front of him has him gripping the umbrella in his hand and holding the puke down. leaning as far as possible in your chair, your face was as white as a paper due to nervousness. towering over you was your male colleague, leaning on your desk and leaning in your face. putting two and two together, he quickly approached your desk, exclaiming “babe!” loudly for you both to hear. when he approaches you, he quickly bends down to wrap his arms around your neck from behind nuzzling in your neck as a way to hide his words. “are you okay?” will be whispered against you ear, and upon your slight nod, he will stand up normally again, his hands reassuringly resting on your shoulders. smiling in a really fake manner, he will say to the man “hope you don’t mind but i’ve come to pick up my girlfriend today, we have a very busy night in front of us.” the insinuation of what the ‘very busy night’ is supposed to mean is as clear as ever, making the man look at chan with eyes full of jealousy. quickly helping you pack your things, he will throw a nasty smirk and a wave to the man over your shoulders as you are walking away.

ೃ⁀➷ svt ot13: first kisses

➥ summary: your first kiss <3 literally what the title is!!! <3

➥ warnings: reader has a spare hair tie in one of them, so deduce what you will. 3-5 paragraphs for each member. just some sweet fluff. some are friends to lovers, others are on first dates. no strict plot to any of them. :)

➥choi seungcheol

he's the one to initiate your first kiss. it's after a basketball game between him and the other members, when his blood is pumping from the thrill of competition, his smile wide and toothy and his curls stuck to his forehead from sweat. you've been cheering loudly for him the whole time, eyes glued to his strong figure darting up and down the court.

you're so cute, he thinks. he can't help but keep one eye on you and one on the court, wanting to make sure you see his every move, making sure you see only the coolest side of him. so he sees when mingyu walks up to you, all strong muscle and hair pulled back from his face; sees mingyu make you giggle, sees how mingyu makes himself a fool to make you smile. and cheol can't have that. you're cute, and you have to be his.

seungcheol offers to drive you home, walking you to his car. he listens as you gush about his play, and he listens as you recount everything. he's so ridiculously endeared, he adores you so much, from the way you smile to the way your eyes are sparkling. he opens the door for you, but before you can slide into your seat he's calling your name softly. you turn, and one of his hands goes to cup the back of your neck, and then his mouth is on yours.

➥ yoon jeonghan

first dates should be memorable, he says, whisking you inside of a pottery painting place. for him, dates are ways of experiencing things with your partner, ways to create memories that'll last a lifetime. and jeonghan wants to do so much with you, wants to experience everything with you.

he's painting a plate. it'll be for you, of course. but jeonghan is bent over the plate, a thin paintbrush in hand, carefully painting the outline of a flower that will be in the middle. he's got a reference on his phone, eyes flicking between the photo and the plate, trying his best not to mess up.

when you look at him, his bangs are escaping from behind his ears. you stand from your own seat, slipping a spare hair tie off of your wrist. once behind him you begin gently gathering his hair, making sure to grab the little bangs that frame his face. you're unable to keep yourself from brushing through his long black hair with your fingers. after you tie off his hair he's turning towards you, dark eyes wide and shining, sweet lips parted. and of course you can't help yourself, and you're leaning down and pressing a quick, soft kiss to his lips.

joshua can't take his eyes off of you. you're like a brilliant star to him, his eyes constantly finding your form throughout the evening even if he hadn't meant to. he finds silly ways to reach to you; pulls your straw out of the wrapper before you can, constantly grabs more and more meat for your bowl. he's taking care of you without really realizing it, but he does take note of your reactions.

you're turning towards him whenever he speaks; watching him when he talks, smiling when he does, giggling softly whenever he laughs. at one point in the evening you reach out and press your fingers against his wrist, grabbing his attention. you duck close to him, whispering about something or other. you keep your fingers laying gently on him the entire time you speak, as if it's natural for you to be touching him.

at the end of the night he volunteers to take you home; he pretends not to hear seokmin when the younger man asks if josh could take him home too. the entire ride to your house you're turned slightly towards him, grinning and engaging with him, laughing along to his jokes. he walks you to your door of course, and he notices how you linger in front of it, not quite willing to walk away. that's what gives him the confidence to step close, the tip of his shoes against yours, his hand gently rising to cup your face. you turn your face towards him, eyes falling to his lips, and that's all the further encouragement he needs before he's gently pressing his lips to yours.

➥ wen junhui

you and jun are tucked in, one blanket covering the both of you as some drama plays. he's making you laugh more often than not, imitating characters dramatically, talking back to the tv as if they could hear him. he's warm, both from the heat of the both of your bodies trapped beneath the blanket and from your laughter and smiles, from being around you. it's decidedly not a date, he knows, and as far as he's observed you don't like him that way (but wen junhui is not particularly observant).

sometime later the two of you agree to run to the convenience store to get something to eat and drink. you go off to put on your hoodie and shoes, and hjun goes to his closet to pull out a hoodie. he goes for a bright yellow one, deciding it matches his bright mood. when he steps out into the hall to join you, you're laughing at him. "you look like a duck," you say, grinning. "a baby chick."

instinctively jun quacks. he then puts his arms at his side, imitating a duck's waddle as he moves towards you, quacking all the while. you're grinning at him so brightly that even the hoodie he's wearing seems dull in comparison. then you're cooing about how cute he is, your little ducky, and then before he quite realizes what's going on you're cupping his face in both of your hands, mouth on his.

➥ kwon soonyoung

soonyoung is trying to not be impulsive. he's a passionate person; everyone knows that. but minghao said he should try and take things slow, that relationships shouldn't be rushed, and soonyoung so badly doesn't want to fuck things up with you before they even start, so he's on his best behavior during the first date. he's resisting the urge to grab your hand as the two of you walk alongside the river, resisting the urge to run to the grassy area and grab one of the little stray flowers popping up.

but you're so sweet and cute and lovely, and he wants your eyes on him all the time. he doesn't want you to look away, just like how he doesn't want to look away from you for a single moment.

"oh," you say, slowing down beside him. you're looking off at an advertisement. "maybe for our next date we could go to the amusement park? that'll be fun."

"our next date?" his heart is running -- no, his heart is sprinting. your date has barely begun and you're already wanting and planning on seeing him again? suddenly all of minghao's words about being patient are being thrown away, tossed into the river. soonyoung wraps an arm around your waist, tugging you close and pressing your body to his. his hand goes to the back of your neck, guiding you, and it's so ridiculously easy how your mouths meet, as if kissing you was what he was meant to be doing.

➥ jeon wonwoo

the two of you are playing a video game, relaxing beside one another. he's hooked up his switch to the television, take-out boxes discarded on the coffee table. at the start of the night the two of you had been sitting with space between you, not touching. but over the course of the evening the two of you had began to drift closer and closer, and now your knees were touching. you could feel every time he shifted next to you.

it was cute how seriously he took it, you thought. he was even serious about playing mario kart, as if he was in some serious competition. he had his glasses on, and every so often he paused to push them back up the slope of his nose. he was so ridiculously cute, and you didn't know how anyone could stand it.

"okay," he said, frowning as second place flashed next to his character name. "time to get serious."

and you can't help but laugh at him, so ridiculously endeared. it shouldn't be as easy as it is to reach over and gently press the tip of your fingers to his jaw, guiding his face towards you. as quickly as a wink you're kissing him, a short press of your lips. when you pull away he's blinking at you owlishly behind his glasses. before you can make some excuse wonwoo is exiting the game, one of his large hands coming to guide your face back to his, mouth against yours.

➥ lee jihoon

jihoon has known about his feelings for you for a long time. it's hard for him not to. he's written and listened to so many songs about it, you know? as soon as he was searching for you in a room filled with people, as soon as he realized he smiled whenever you laughed and kept his gaze on you whenever you spoke, he knew. but just because he knew he loved you didn't mean he was going to do something about it.

"you're writing a lot more love songs lately," you say, pulling your headphones off and around your neck. jihoon shrugs beside you, trying to ignore the sound of his heart and how it demands for him to do something. he switches off of the track, clicking absentmindedly to try and drown out the sound of his heart. "do you have someone in mind when you're writing these, jihoon? got someone special you're thinking of?"

he shrugs again. "maybe. it's nothing to worry about."

you're quiet for a moment. and then you're saying that you've got someone on your mind, too, lately. "i think you'd know him, actually. he works in the same field. he's isn't tall, really. but he's strong and he has an awfully cute face, and he's amazing at producing."

jihoon looks at you, eyes wide and lips parted, heart screaming in his chest. you're smirking, softly. "yeah, i think you know him. his name is bumzu." and then his heart is screeching to a halt. it must show on his face, because then you're laughing at him, throwing your head back, and the only way jihoon can think of getting you to stop is by grabbing your face and pressing his mouth to yours.

➥ lee seokmin

seokmin has the biggest, fattest crush on you. and he has absolutely no idea of what to do. jeonghan says he should be honest and tell you, and minghao says the worst thing that could happen is that you reject him, but seokmin's mind says the worst thing that could happen is you reject him and refuse to be friends with him anymore, blocking his name and leaving the country because of it, and while he knows he's being ridiculous he can't help but dwell on that impossible chance and swallow down his feelings.

"you're so obvious," seungkwan hisses at him, slapping seokmin's arm. "you're looking like a lovesick puppy. do something, coward."

seokmin takes a drink of his beer, and then he's crossing the room to you. he asks if you can talk to him, and chan starts giggling beside you. you agree, and the two of you go out to the hall for some privacy. you look at him, head tilted slightly, expecting for him to speak. he tries, once; twice; thrice, and when he's finally getting the first word out of his throat someone steps out into the hall, bathroom door slamming shut, and all bravery leaves his system.

as soon as the other guest goes back to their room, you're sighing softly. you reach out, taking his hands in both of yours and squeezing. you step close, angling your head so you could look him in the eye. he does nothing, can't say anything. and then he's blurting it all out in a mess, and you're laughing softly at him. you tug him close, and your lips find his so naturally that he can't help but think it's fate.

➥ kim mingyu

you're so obvious, he can't help but think. he wonders if you're trying to be obvious with it, at first, trying to show that you're attracted to him, that you like him. you're the first to help whenever he needs it, sometimes even predicting mingyu will be in trouble before he realizes it. you're always paying attention to him. mingyu even tests it by putting chapstick on several times within a short amount of time, and each time your eyes lock on his lips, watching.

but you can't look at him in the eye. you fidget whenever you talk to him, playing with your fingers or twisting at the hem of your shirt. so then mingyu realizes that you you're not being obvious with your crush intentionally, but that you're so shy about it and at the same time can't control it. "it's cute," he tells wonwoo one evening. "they're so cute."

wonwoo shrugs. he's not paying attention, really. but still when he says mingyu should "do something about it," mingyu can't help but agree. the next time the two of you are to meet, he stops and grabs your favorite treat (maybe he, too, was paying attention to you just as closely as you were him). mingyu gives it to you and watches as your eyes widen, as your mouth parts. "i'll give it to you," he says, "but at a price."

you cock your head and ask what he means. mingyu says the price is a date. you balk at him, but then you're grinning and looking away, nodding shyly, and mingyu can't help but slide his big hands into your hair and angle you towards him, his mouth going to press against yours.

➥ xu minghao

you've been best friends forever, it seemed. distance and time couldn't drive a wedge between you and minghao, even when he left for tour. the two of you would send texts throughout the day, pictures of whatever cute or pretty thing you saw. when he was in japan he sent photos of the cherry blossoms; when in california, the ocean. he would caption each and every picture with something akin to "i can't wait to bring you here <3" and your dreaded feelings, which had only seemed to grow the further apart you two were physically, would bubble out.

you'd shove them aside, you decided. especially when he was able to come home for a few days before the next leg of the tour; you didn't want to bother him with your feelings, not when he was already so busy.

he knew something was up. of course he did. minghao was observant, to the point where he read you as if the two of you had known each other your whole lives. he asked about you, if you were okay. when you lied and said you were, he frowned at you. "it isn't healthy to lie about your feelings," he said.

you told him you weren't ready to talk about it, and minghao nodded. the night went on, the two of you reading on your couch with your legs touching. his phone vibrated, and he unlocked it. a sound came from his phone, and then he was giggling. it was his cute little giggle that drew a smile to your lips no matter what sort of mood you were in.

minghao slid down the couch, angling his phone towards you. it was a photo of a duck and his baby kitten. minghao replayed the video, still giggling, sparkling eyes caught on the screen. you weren't watching, really, instead watching his face as he laughed. minghao's gaze slid to yours, and then you were letting your eyes flutter shut, lips meeting his.

➥ boo seungkwan

the universal truth about boo seungkwan was that he adored touching people. he loved holding hands, loved the feel of skin against skin. it had taken you a while to get used to him randomly grabbing your hand, him pressing his thigh against yours as he talked to someone across the room. sometimes he'd cross the room just to lean against you, wrapping his arms around your waist and hooking his chin on your shoulder, quiet, just relishing the feeling of your body against his.

you were in your own world, messing around on your phone when you felt his hand against your head. you paid no attention, and eventually his long fingers slid against your ear. he ran the tips of his fingers around the shell of your ear before he began pulling at your earlobe, thumb pressing into it.

humming, you turn towards him. seungkwan is right behind you, leaning against the back of the couch you're sitting on. he smiles when your eyes meet, eyes dripping honey. "how cute you are," he murmurs, fondness pouring from his gaze. you can't help it when your gaze slides down to his mouth, taking in his smile, the plushness of his lips. it means you're surprised when his hand slides from your ear to your jaw, angling your face towards him, his mouth settling on yours.

➥ chwe hansol

being around hansol is awkward. it you didn't know better, you'd think he just didn't like you. hansol hardly looked at you, and when he did his eyes would just flick up to your face before moving away. he gave you firm-lipped smiles, short answers and nods. you were worried he absolutely hated you, that hansol could hardly stand to be around you.

so you cornered him, hands on your hips. you stand before him, pouting at him. eventually he looks up from his phone, raising an eyebrow. that's all you need before you're launching into a rant, asking why he doesn't seem to like you, what you did wrong, what you could do to mend your relationship because you liked hansol so much. looking back you realize your rant is bordering on a full-on confession, hands waving in the air, your heart on your sleeve.

"i don't hate you," he says, setting his phone on your lap and giving you his full attention. "i just don't really know how to talk to you."

and then you're asking if you're unapproachable, if you need to make yourself more whatever it is he needs to feel comfortable. hansol bites down on his lip and then he's standing. you don't really mind it, still launching an interrogation on why he didn't like you or feel comfortable around you. but then his hands are sliding into your hair, guiding your mouth towards his, effectively stopping your worries.

➥ lee chan

if there's one way chan knows how to impressive people, it's with his dance skills. so he asks you after work if you'd like to come back to the practice room with him, if you're not busy, that is. he grins, triumphantly and brightly, when you agree, eager to see his dance skills with your own eyes.

he pulls out all the stops. he's dancing as if he's soaring through the sky, as if gravity has no hold on him, powerful and free. it's amazing, and you tell him as much, eyes wide and mouth ajar. he turns it on you, asks if you know how to dance. you sigh, slapping your hands to your thighs. and then you're standing, shedding your jacket. "okay," you say, grinning, "but don't say i didn't warn you."

he's intrigued, going to the edge of the room to drink water and watch. he's unprepared for when you begin doing the chicken dance, his loud laughter ringing through the room. you giggle along with him, and then chan is crossing the room and coming close. he mirrors you, the two of you laughing loudly, smiles wide and eyes bright. "okay, time to mix it up," you say, and then you're dropping it, squatting and trying to jump back up. you fail, however, and end up stumbling back from the force of the movement.

chan stumbles down beside you, reaching for you. the two of you are laughing so hard that your ribs begin to hurt, and then he's kissing you, though both of you are smiling so widely that it can hardly be called a kiss.

"A worm?" "A worm," you said before taking a sip of your beverage. One of your favorite past times was asking Seungcheol stupid questions you'd see on tiktok and see his reaction. He always entertained them and you were thankful because both of you knew the answers meant NOTHING and that your relationship was solid. Or so you thought. "Well, if you were a worm I guess I would be a bird." "Excuse me!?" "Yeah, I'd be a bird." "Baby, birds eat worms though..." "Yeah and? Don't I do that every night anyway?" He asked while raising a cheeky eyebrow before taking a sip of his drink. You couldn't help but blush at his crude joke and hit his chest softly which caused him to laugh before pulling you close.

To say you caught Jeonghan off guard is an understatement. You would be in the car with him listening to the radio in a comfortable silence when you just sprung the question on him. He half tempted to pull over and give you a genuine "what the fuck" face but instead he just scoffed and started to laugh. "Where did this question come from, (Y/N)?" He would question you. "Just answer, baby. Would you, Yoon Jeonghan, love me if I was a worm?" The use of his full name made him laugh before he just rubbed your thigh and glanced over at you. "Baby, I love you even when you act like a clown. I would love you no matter what."

Sometimes, Jisoo and you would give each other "silent treatments" when you were both play fighting and today, it was Jisoo's time to give you the treatment. Why? While he wasn't mad because truth be told, he was happy you remembered to eat, but still you should've known he was thinking about it because y'all were 'soulmates' or whatever. You rolled your eyes when you realized he was giving you the silent treatment as he started to make Ramen. You started to just playfully annoy him while wrapping your arms around him and just doing the yapping for both of you. He was close to cracking once you started but he finally lost it when you asked him "would you love me if I was a worm." When he didn't say yes right away, you then gave him the "silent treatment" and then it would be his turn to try to annoy you into talking to him.

Before you both went to bed, he would roll over and whisper, "So... would you love me if I was a worm?" You would just roll your eyes before kissing him and telling him of course you would.

Soonyoung was mindlessly playing with your hair before you decided to hit him with such an important question for him. "Soonyoung?" "hmmm?" "Would you love me if I was a worm?" His hand would stop massaging your head for a minute while he thought about it. You fake gawked at him because he didn't answer as quick as you thought he should. Before you could scold him he would give you a smirk before wrapping his arms around you tight, "why be a worm when you can be a tigress, (y/n)? Let's be tigers forever and ever and ever." You would groan at the 'tiger agenda' but would laugh as he started kissing you all over your face.

He would just smile at you and find you so precious, "of course I would love you if you were a worm you lil cutie." He would give you a soft kiss before pulling you into his chest while you smiled stupidly and contently at his answer.

To be completely honest, I can see Jihoon just giving you a blank stare because his brain just went ???? he didn't know the trend and the question would break his brain. He didn't know what to say so he would just go "uhh sure?" You would fake sulk at his answer and he probably would text one of the younger members to ask for help. I can see Hansol being like "the answer is always yes!!! omg." LOL

You would be sitting next to Seokmin on a park bench watching birds just be birds. You were both waiting for Soonyoung and his partner to meet you for a double date and were currently in a comfortable silence. That was until you asked him, "Seokminnie, would you still love me if I was a worm?" As you asked that, a bird had grabbed a worm from the ground and flew away. You both were flabbergasted at the timing and just broke down laughing together. Once you both calmed down he reminded you he'd always love you no matter the life time but for the rest of the day he would lovingly call you "bird food" as if it were a pet name which left Soonyoung and his partner hella confused lmaoooo.

One of MIngyu favorite errands to run with you was going grocery shopping. You loved it too because when you were with him, you could turn your brain off and just be yourself. That's why Mingyu wasn't too surprised when you looked at gummy worms and deadpanned asked him, "Baby, if I was a worm would you still love me?" You couldn't see the loving smile he had on his face before he wrapped his arms around you from behind. "Of course, baby. You would be the prettiest and nicest worm to exist."

To be real, Hansol was READY for this question. the song being called love money and fame as well like i know groups can change their vibe and sound but it's so unlike svt and so clearly a dude that can only sing about how rich and famous he is, truly wondering who asked for this what made them go yeah this is a collab that is great for us as a group truly speaks to everything we've been singing about, everything we've build our image about, our fans most definitely are gonna love it especially if we make it the last ot13 title. like who the Fuck thought anyone was going to be happy about this. and yes i know that groups evolve their sound changes all that jazz i'm actually an advocate for letting groups find new sounds to keep evolving as artists, but in a way they always keep their essence while this just screams money grab!!! collab that will bring money somehow even tho a lot of fans are gonna say fuck you for this!!. sorry this is so rambly but it is quite upsetting and it feels like a slap to the face that they will make this fuckass collab the title and not a random bside that we can go actually i'll ignore that, it's just so fucking stupid and once again fuck whoever made all this decisions
