All is well with you I hope High Chancellor? I had to take a break from most things due to my mental health going downhill for a while, but I'm slowly getting back to normal.

All is well, all is well. But I am saying it as someone whose nation has been three bad sneezes away from a collapse for over a century, so perhaps my standards for what is "well" are something to be questioned.

Good to know that the isnides of your head are being more manageable again. I was wondering where you have wandered off to.

Like you said we met on discord, bonded over oc's and became friends from there. But your oc's are the most well written ones that I've ever had the pleasure of hearing about.

As well as you just being a fantastic friend and person who, quite quickly, moved up the ladder to true best friend. I adore you and you mean so much to me 💙💙

WIP Wednesday

I've at last started work on the final draft of chapter eight of i fear no fate (for you are my fate) or as I like to call it, i fear no eight, so I thought I'd post a little WIP Wednesday progress update! ✨

Perhaps it’s soul-knowledge, or perhaps it’s simple deductive reasoning, but either way, Elentari knows precisely where and when she is the very instant the dream unfolds around her. Merethic Era Atmora is—it should be beyond unfamiliar to her. It’s colder than even the windswept shores of the Northern Coast and a thousand times more alive than any of the quill-and-ink illustrations in the Arcanaeum’s history books, and yet, there’s a part of her soul—a part of the soul-within-her-soul—that knows it as surely as she once knew Daggerfall’s cobbled streets. She’s facing a nearby lake ringed with sky-grazing conifers and thawing with the beginnings of pale spring, but when she turns, she’s met with what she supposes must be a village. The houses and halls are all thatch-roofed and wooden-walled and adorned with great gables carved to resemble the heads of horses and wolves and bears, and the few people—people!—she can see going about their lives are dressed from top to toe in rich embroidery and plush furs. But none of them are the dreamer of this dream. Elentari draws her own furs tighter around herself—a strange twist of reality, that, considering her physical self, more than four thousand years away, is clad in nothing but a nightgown—and lets herself be led both by her own feet and the deep sense of soul-knowledge that comes from far beyond her. Her destination, when she finds it, would be hard to miss, and it’s not just because of the tug behind her ribs guiding her there. It’s because the little house with the hawk-head gables near the outskirts of the village would be totally unremarkable were it not for all the ravens. By her reckoning, there’s at least a dozen of them, each one perching on the roof or on the ledge of the home’s single window or circling overhead with wide-spread black wings in the cold, and despite their sheer number, they’re all as silent as a held breath. The nearer she gets to the door and whatever waits behind it, the more she feels the weight of their bright, clever eyes, as though they already know exactly who she is and for whom she has come. As always, Elentari pushes open the door.

hiiiii I know I don't ask a lot of questions or post a lot abt him myself but honestly I'm kind of struggling on figuring out potential interactions between the Tallyboy and my oc's

I hav 3 in mind as "most likely to get up to shenanigans with Tally" tho

an alternate-universe version of my main Thalmor oc wherein she is the LDB (cus from what I know custom voiced followers aren't build for non-LDB's)

a snow elf LDB uplifted from a falmer, and thus having no knowledge of the outside world. also has Inigo, Xelzaz, and Rumarin (her love interest) on her team for now

and my high elf vestige (non dragonborn) who survived all the way from 2E and was rescued by and reunited with the oc's of my dear friend @titanwolfackerman (since that they told me Tally would be on their team, which also includes Inigo, Xelzaz, Lucien, Nebarra, Caryalind, and Miraak)

I would like to hear his thoughts on each character or at least the basic premises they are built on, hopefully it will give me inspiration to start creating some interesting scenarios <3

I have noticed a lot of players have different ideas for their Dragonborn outside of being a Dragonborn, and I respect that. I only play the Main Story quest and when I want to feel like the Dragonborn, so that's probably why a lot of Custom Voiced followers follow that route. To make the story the player has for their character to feel less forced into that role. I made Taliesin the same; he doesn't address the player as Dragonborn unless it's about the Main Story quest in question.

So with your Thalmor OC finding out she's the Dragonborn. Were Taliesin present, or depending on how you plan to have them meet, he would encourage her to keep this part about her a secret from the other Thalmor. His knowledge of Dragonborn lore is tied directly to how the Nord's perceive the legend of the Dragonborn - pretty much an example of how Nords should act and be. An Altmer being their example? very controversial. Same with the Thalmor, knowing one of their own holds power, they'd want to take full advantage of that in the worst way possible. He might become protective of her when it comes to anything Thalmor related. If she voices wanting to run off from the Thalmor or leave in anyway, he'd ask to join her.

A Falmer (snow elf) would be a curiosity to him. Lots of questions would come to mind about her culture, but if she doesn't have him, that'll sadden him a bit. He's willing to do research to find answers to not only his questions but to something to make her more a part of her people. Your vestige. What are their secrets to staying alive that long! Tally wants to know! That might be something he would have trouble getting over. From the 2nd era to the 4th era is almost over 1000 years! And that's the average life span for an Altmer without the use to magic! He had an ancestor back in that Era, so his first question would be knowing his great-great-great-great ect grandfather!

WALL-E - my absolute favourite movie when I was a kid, rewatched so many times and never got tired of it... I should rewatch it again -w-

How To Train Your Dragon 2 - I have older and more vivid memories of watching this one over the first, ironically (I got to watch it a couple weeks though, long overdue) but yeah, probably the movie that got me into dragons.

Detective Pikachu - as a Pokemon fan I just love this movie so much, I have especially good memories of that one time I watched it with my old university's gaming club

Dragonheart - oldie but goodie, my watching of it long overdue, me of around a year ago enjoyed it a lot and I'm sure a much younger me would as well

Spirited Away - this one hit different when I was watching it on the night of my 18th birthday

A Whisker Away - iirc I also watched this one around the same time as the previous, very sweet overall (and there's a memetic scene from it that I find very relatable, lol)

The Shape of Water - I've rewatched this a couple of times (my first time watching was probably tooo young -w-) and it never gets old. there's just something about the "trapped nonhuman creature wanting to be loved like a human" trope that I love so much

Lord Huron - The Night We Met . bonus points if slowed and reverbed. makes me contemplate life and helps me cry if I need to.

Coyote Kisses - Black Cat . they're the first band I discovered while cultivating my music taste back when I was a preteen. kind of nostalgic and adventurous sounding.

Panda Eyes & Teminite - Immortal Flame . I like to think of this as my and/or my persona's theme song. the instrumental bits go incredibly hard.
