Look.

If the only way I'm going to get some actual quality writing for Jason from DC is when he's a literal fucking wolf, then you bet your fucking ass I'm going to support DC's sudden furry agenda.

I do not care what it takes. So long as Jason gets some genuine character writing, I'm willing to shake the hand of any devil that comes my way.

And let's be honest-furries are practically angels compared to whoever the fuck is running DC's writing department nowadays.

The art is so good in this issue 😩. My only gripe is Dick's stomach wound is missing, but Bruce gave him a new cut sooo... I still win 😌.

So does beast word confirm Jason would absolutely be a werewolf or wolf-dog shifter in fic AU’s (like if you wanted to use canon backed information for your choice)?

I am choosing to believe that Babs recorded that moment, saved it, and when the world is put back together again and they have a moment to breathe, she is going to absolutely BLAST the footage of Dick obnoxiously calling wolf!Bruce trapped in a cage a "good boy" and she is going to LAUGH HER ASS OFF about it and I, for one, support her in this endeavor.

My main takeaway from what I've read of the Beast World event so far...

General Spoilers for Beast World will follow...

For the record, this is probably more of a nitpick/quick thought than a major criticism/review or anything.

So from what I've read of Beast World event so far; my main thought is these people should really be wearing mouth-covering masks, seriously.

Cass and Steph are like some of the few who seem dressed practically for the situation; and those are just there normal outfits.

I suppose its somewhat early and things are chaotic and stuff; but still. If the remaining non-infected don't start taking proper precautions for these spores then I kinda feel its going to be become more distracting as the event goes on.

Although it has also crossed my mind that there's a fair chance Steph and Cass will just get written to have their masks torn off and/or destroyed so they can be infected; rendering the point kinda moot from a meta perspective. But still. Guess my thought is that since the spores all seem to infect via entering the mouth; that using some kind of protection for your mouth arguably seems like a basic measure.

Even if the spores can destroy masks; it should at least give a somewhat longer window of opportunity to react and perhaps even grab the spore off yourself.

On a semi-related note; considering Gotham has stuff like Joker toxin, Scarecrow's fear toxin, Poison Ivy's pheromones among other things. I kind of feel these kinds of precautions so maybe be more common for Gotham at least?

Anyway that's my thoughts on Beast World I guess.

I put this in the comment but I also wanted to post about it. This user makes a really good point about how jason is more than your standard wolf like Bruce. I looked it up and the manned wolf is also known to be more introverted and reserved and less aggressive than other wolves. In Titans Beast world issue 2 and gotham world tour, Bruce is large, grey/black in appearance, but also very aggressive and can barely formulate thoughts.

Jason, while still aggressive and killing, with the man running and then again with the cops because he is still a predator with the "beast thing" or whatever controlling him.

He seems calmer and more reserved and i would say he gives introverted vibes in these other panels. He also doesn't attack the mole thing until it comes at him. These are some defining traits that separate this particular breed of "wolf" from other wolves like Bruce

I also want to point out even though it's not really related to his breed, but jason has full, complex, deep thoughts, unlike Bruce. He's also seen throwing down the one guy and running away instead of attacking him. I know that Bruce and Harley also show different things that indicate that they're still themselves in some way, but I feel like those 3 panels along with Jason's dialogue through the entire issue are really interesting, showing that's there's still his personality and he's not all beast and maybe that'll play a role in later issues and they can kind of overcome the mental effects of this whatever it is.

Also, am I the only one who thinks that furry!Jason looks like a manned wolf?
