The Lecuona Cuban Boys was a popular Cuban orchestra which toured the world for over forty years.

The band was founded by Ernesto Lecuona, whose role was that of a patron-entrepreneur. He did not actually play with the band, but sometimes gave a piano recital before the band played. The core of the band was put together in 1931 as Orquesta Encanto; the band changed name early in 1934. On tour in Europe, in 1934, Lecuona returned to Cuba, and Armando Oréfiche took charge of the band in Europe. Ernesto gave them the gift of his name, which, at the time, was a property well worth having, and the right to use a number of his compositions.

Hmm, I think yellow. Like a mustard yellow, but I don’t own that many clothing that is that color haha.

Ay, this is hard. Uhm, Some family members from my dad’s side are very well known singer/songwriters over here in Nicaragua but I don’t have a relationship with them. When I was younger, we used to travel a lot to other parts of the country and my mom even had this tour guide and she would cross out the places we’ve already been to. Idk, my family isn’t very interesting haha.

ALLIUM: What’s the best thing you can cook?

Eggs? Lol, I don’t like to cook, but I guess if I have the recipe I can do it pretty well.

ORANGE BLOSSOM: If you could pick the gender and appearance of your child, would you?

Maybe the gender cause I really want a boy and a girl, but not the appearance.

For my birthday last year, my best friend put together this bag that contained a book and a bunch of other little goodies. She got the idea out of owlcrate and we didn’t know they shipped internationally so she made her own and called it the chummy crate (cause we call each other chummy).

AMSONIA: Would you ever become a vegan?

No, I couldn’t. I tried being vegetarian and that only lasted a month haha.

PEONY: What’s your favorite hot beverage?

Hot Chocolate! or maybe Tea if i’m in the mood.

TULIP: For your birthday, what kind of cake do you ask for?

I mean, I make my own cakes haha so it could be anything, but i’m pretty basic so I just make a vanilla cake with condensed milk as the filling.

MYRTLE: Do you like going on airplanes?

I don’t mind! I get bored very easy though so on long plane rides I tend to loose my mind a little haha.

HIBISCUS: Did you ever play an instrument? If so what?

No, I had piano lessons but I had the absolute worst professor so I didn’t learn anything. I only know how to play the happy birthday song on it (I think, lol) and this children song in spanish called martinillo. I also know how to play Mary had a little lamb on the recorder haha.

A girl called Gislaine which is still my friend to this day :)

When I was like 8 I dreamt that I had pulled my eyes out because this creepy looking lady had asked me to and then somehow I was crying blood and when I woke up I was actually crying.

I’ve never carved a pumpkin in my whole life so i’m gonna say that because I would really want to haha

We have this lollipops called Tipitin and they’re shaped like a heart. I guess it’s like a strawberry/cherry flavor but they’re my favorite. They also have a watermelon flavor that is delicious, but then again I love watermelon flavored candy.

Cold!

MARIGOLD: Do you listen to what’s on the radio?

Some of the songs I don’t mind, but most of the songs I don’t like so when i’m in the car I just plug in my phone.
